I had my Sole F80 treadmill (purchased directly from Sole) moved from the garage to the gym room and installed by the Fitness Shoppe personnel. They were punctual, friendly and got the work done in a clean and efficient manner. They gave me many useful tips on taking care of the machine. Pricing is very reasonable. Very pleased with the experience, will recommend highly.

A truly wonderful experience working with the staff at the Fitness Shoppe. From the purchase to the delivery and install everything was very smooth, professional, and carefree. After trying to purchase a treadmill through multiple stores in the La Crosse area without much success and poor customer service, we decided to make the trip to Rochester to the Fitness Shoppe. Their website has false advertising. I came in to purchase a powerblock which they listed on their website at $319. When I told the sales associate at the desk I was looking for their powerblocks which were advertised as on sale on line, she told me they don’t do sales on powerblocks. She didn’t offer to help in any otherway. After looking to see if I could find what I was looking for, I showed her the price listed on the website and she told me their manager does an awful job of updating the website. She went on to say they are updating their website, as if that’s helpful to me as the customer in your store right now. She told me that the powerblock was $380 and that I could look on FB market place for a used one instead. Overall a poor customer service experience. I left frustrated by false advertisement, poor assistance, and no attempts to apologize or fix the problem.

Some of the best customer service! We purchased a treadmill back in March and the transaction was smooth and the delivery/assembly was great. Then...not four months later we ended up needing help relocating our treadmill during a relatively complicated move and Kyle and team were beyond accommodating and helpful. If I could leave 10 stars I would. 10/10 - Would recommend!

After my wife’s incredible experience with Mr Carlson for our exercise bike, I stopped in this weekend as I saw a number of treadmills advertised for really competitive prices. I missed out on the $199 treadmill offers as they had just been sold this evening. I bought a more expensive model given the quality to price and am pumped to continue to support local businesses in Rochester. Fitness Shoppe staff are responsive and helpful. Thanks Fitness Shoppe!

Thanks to Fitness Shoppe I had my first experience of price gauging. I was in search of two used spin bikes when I came across this store. I spoke with a rep who explained that if I purchased two items he would speak with the owner and see if he would honor their pre-covid pricing. Explaining further that the bikes we were interested in usually sold for $499 but because of covid there was an increased demand so everything was marked up in the store and these bikes were increased by $100 to $599. After hearing that, I asked the rep to explain my disappointment with the price gauging to the owner and ask him to honor his pre-covid pricing. Several hours later, I heard back from the owner (Adam). Here is his direct response:Ryan,My name is Adam, I own the The Fitness Shoppe.Obviously, there is some confusion on the different units you are looking at.The bikes we have left, that youve been quoted, sell for $1400 online. These bikes have an attached touch screen console. That price hasnt changed with covid... its been $1400 with their financing for the past 9 months +. The idea that Proform has ever sold this version for $499 is wrong.The $499 costco bikes that you are referencing...( that we sell for $199-$299 are sold out). The big difference is the cheaper units you are referencing dont have the attached touch screen tablet attached... they just have a basic LCD. We simply dont have any of those cheaper bikes available to sell right now.We are still offering the bikes we have at less than 50% off retail price, our bikes come with 12 months of ifit, additional cards can be purchased for $99.I would suggest you educate yourself before you insult and accuse someone of price gouging. Weve been working incredibly hard to source exercise equipment and continue to sell our items at or below list price. In fact we have many items people are buying from us then marking them up and reselling on craigslist and facebook marketplace.If you dont like the price, thats perfectly fine, look somewhere else, Our staff has been working incredibly hard during this time, I have absolutely no Patience for low ball offers and insults.”And my response:“ Hi Adam,I was basing my statement on a direct quote from one of your employees who said (on a voicemail) that prices on these bikes are $100 higher now than pre-covid. Explaining further that the prices increased on most all equipment due to demand for in-home exercise equipment. Personally, I own a small business but I’m actually reducing prices to customers due to covid. Regardless, I would suggest educating your employees about pricing rather than telling me to educate myself. Furthermore, my intentions weren’t to insult you, as a business owner myself, I would want to know if one of my employees was giving misinformation to customers and wouldn’t blame my customer for having received misinformation. That said, can you confirm the prices on your equipment haven’t increased since covid?Ryan”And finally his last response:“ Our prices change based on the cost and condition of the inventory we have, Not based on global pandemics.”These were bikes in inventory prior to covid and priced at $499 making his response a flat out lie. As a result I would never buy anything from Fitness Shoppe and I hope others feel the same way. It’s my opinion that this is a time for everyone to come together and support one another, not take advantage of a pandemic and price gauge your neighbors.
