Wonderful staff! Helped me get the perfect weight of meat that I needed for a recipe. Im thinking my days of Walmart meats are at an end. Looking around the very clean and tidy store showed that their meat prices are only slightly higher than Walmart, and Im betting their quality of beef, pork, chicken and fish is going to be much better. They have bundle package that appear to be reasonably priced. Im not sure if you can make any substitutions to any of the bundles or if you can build a bundle. All in all a wonderful experience and I highly recommend that anyone looking for a specific cut of meat and/or a specific weight to stop in. I do know they dont have a butcher available to cut meat on the weekends, so make sure you stop in during the week for your specific needs.

First time trying this place out. We usually get a half pig, quarter cow and farm fresh chicken from local farmers. Decided to try this place out per the reviews. Big mistake for the price we paid, we could have gotten 20 lbs more meat somewhere else and better quality. This is prepackaged guy in Van coming to your house meat. Thin cut steaks, odd pieces of what they call sirloin???? Roasts so small they could pass for a real steak. Pretty sure it was old freezer burned last years meat as well. Save your money and buy from Farmers and get it done at a real butcher this is just a frozen meat shop!

Fresh food!

All meat prepackaged, not really a butcher shop anymore. Popular cuts unavailable, like lean ground beef. Used to be locally raised and advertised as such, Angus beef however clerk had no idea where meat came from nor if it was Angus beef. Use to be able to choose meat off trays in refrigerated case and then wrap and weigh, not anymore. One clerk opening boxes of prepackaged meats. Premium price for unknown quality. Looking for another local vender.

My husband was thrilled when I accidentally purchased The Butcher Shops steak box instead of having gotten the Summer Bundle Box (that ID FULLY INTENDED to buy), as he found such impressive quality looking varieties of types as he looked over them all,salivating over his new found luck! Hubby was equally impressed with the flavor after he grilled them outdoors! Thanks Butcher Shop!

This place is awesome they gave me a beautiful cut of brisket! I cooked it and we had one of the all time best family Christmas dinners ever! The staff was so helpful and bright personalities as well! Thank you for the great service! Did I mention this was my first time cooking a brisket!!! You truly made our Christmas stand out!

Their sirloin strip steaks are the best I’ve had anywhere around here. They gave us a free pie to go with it that was amazing. We will definitely be back. Wonderful

Im so happy this place is back. Its perhaps the only place in S/RF to get thick quality steaks. There a bunch of extras here, like frozen homemade pies. You cant find those in town since Beelendorfs closed. This is a great find and a great shopping experience if you want to waste an hour.

Always excellent service, the quality of meats is always really good ( much better than grocery store) and the prices are good too. And the potato salad is excellent! Try the cheese curds as well 😀

Great selection of steaks, roast, cheeses, sausages and even a few lunch meats. Even though the prices might be a little higher you can actually see what your buying and the knowledge and friendliness of the staff makes it easier to understand what your buying. Will for sure be back.

I requested a top sirloin cap (picanha) from The Butcher Shop. They cut it and sent it over to the Sterling location within a day. Great service and a great product.

First visit at busy time. Friendly, very helpful service. Ribeye, Strip and filet cuts all very tasty. I saw many customers buying prime rib roasts that seemed like repeat customers so Im guessing those must be good also.
