LITTERALLY MY FAVORITE PLACE ON EARTH. It has a cafe where you can go sit and read and have a drink/snack. Litterally all the books I have walked in to find, I have found. And if you cant find the book you want, just go up to someone on the (very incredibly nice) staff and ask for it, and theyll most likely have it. All of the experiences Ive had there has been good. The closest books a million to my house is like 30 minutes away but I dont care because Im litterally in love with it.

I loved it. We went to look for chapter books for my kid who is very much interested in reading. There are so many variety of books available for kids.

It fills the bookstore need. And plenty of other items too, like puzzles and collectables. Also the in house coffee shop is great.

I love this bookstore! Great selection of books and if you cant find what youre looking for, the store attendants are more than happy to help you find it and if its not in stock, they can order it and have it shipped to the store or your home. Very relaxing atmosphere. Good coffee and snacks at Joe Muggs. Prices are reasonable.

Im from Gastonia, so Ive never visited the Rock Hill store before, but they very kindly held a requested book, for me to pick up. The store is well stocked, and has a sizable selection of discounted books. They seem to have more childrens books and toys, than some BAM stores Ive been into.There were a lot of shoppers; the day I was there; which indicates a popular store, and I saw people with lots of books in their baskets. There is a Joe Muggs coffee bar, that still has comfortable armchairs, which is nice if youre wanting to hang out while drinking your beverage.

Great selection! My 11 y/o looking for manga and we were shocked at the variety. Great job! Clean store and friendly staff. A little pricey...

I cant tell you how many times a staff member asked if we needed help finding something. They were very friendly and willing to help.

The staff was really helpful and the store was clean and organized. Check out was simple and the cashier was very friendly.However, when the cashier needed to ask the manager a question, the manager was very dismissive, wouldnt turn around to face the cashier, and used the headset to talk to them. The manager was at most 5 feet away from where we were standing. They even scolded the cashier for not using the headset, which everyone could hear. It was really embarrassing for the employee and caused an unwelcoming environment.

Open, mask needed, large choice of books, games and inside seating if you would like to read....just a great place...

Pretty much my favorite BAM. it’s right there by winthrop university (which i attend) so it’s very convenient!! it’s always really nice in there, always clean. usually it’s never too packed so you can sit and read books (: the older lady is always really nice every time i go! great selection of mangas and good rotation every time they get new stock!!

Beyond books. Fun store to browse. Lots of gift ideas. The coffee shop staff is awesome btw, kuddos to her (did not catch her name)

I saw this sign on their door today. I ignored it and entered unmasked anyway, as I have dozens of times before during the last year and a half. I did see a younger man get harassed by one of the male clerks about his vaccination status, yet no one said a word to me having been there for two hours unmasked. Discrimination in any form is immoral.#JimCrow

Hot and uncomfortable, couldnt find someone to help me locate a book. Finally got on line to ask but clerk was signing someone up for something. Got too hot and tired of waiting g and left store.

The staff is rude. The website and google said they closed at 9. I walked in at 7:58. The made an announcement over the intercom that they were closed at 8. I explained that their sire said 9. They were completely rude about it. I will never shop their again.

Disclaimer!My judgement may be biased! Im a weeb. I saw loads of manga from this books a million and was very proud. I saw loads of things like JoJo, Naruto Shippuden, One piece, AoT, I think I saw demon slayer, and there are other manga from loads of other shows that i havent watched yet. Its just nice to see so stuff for the weebs out there.

I absolutely love this place. They have everything you could possibly imagine in the realm of books they even have some audio and toys. Parking is very good and the prices are reasonable. Most importantly, old people like me like to be left alone the store employees do not bother you which is a big plus. I highly recommend the restrooms also very clean.

The staff here is amazing. So very helpful and nice! Love chatting about what books I bought. They helped me look for a planner, and then helped me decide on a new book series for my son. I could easily order online, but will continue to come here because of the staff.

This is your typical Book-A-Million or BAM location. They are usually in a busy plaza with a lot of chain corporations in them. This location also has a coffee shop in it. The selection of books here is really cool. They have a lot of great books on war and have a lot of coffee table style books. They also have a great Bible selection here. The staff here is very friendly as well.

I love books. The only bad part is I have to drive 32 miles to get to it. There are places to sit and check out and see if youll like a book. Theres a coffee shop but also has smoothies and desserts. The restrooms are always clean. Its a friendly store, they greet you when you walk in, but they also walk around and ask if you need assistance. This particular store is awesome.

Nice bookstore but they never have what Im looking for in the store so I always end up buying it online. If youre casually shopping for books or music and dont know what you want to get, go there. They typically have a decent assortment of board games for all age ranges. Theres a larger selection over the holidays. If you need something specific, call first so they can tell you if its in the store.

I love reading, and find that most of the books that I have wanted to read were located there. Very friendly people, and nice organization.

I wouldnt recommend, smaller store and employees dont listen. They range me up twice for the same item when I told then they had and they denied it. Then made me go back in to refund it. Ridiculous.

My worst experience yet and I have been going to books a million 4 about 10yrs but the one on Dave Lyles the young lady walking around ack as though she had no clue to what I was asking for instead of her going and looking it up they she ack like she didnt wanna help me....very poor service want be back

Nice as always. Used it as a meeting point for my friends. I had a cold and reading some of the Handmaids Tale as i waited for them helped.

This place is quiet and has lots of books. The employees are always pleasant and I enjoy going there.

Its a calming place to sit down, have a cup of coffee and read a book and they have amazing novelty gifts.

I havent even been in this store in over two years. Tonight at 8:00 I ran in to but a booklight, made my selection and waited and waited and waited. No employee to be seen. My husband loudly called Hello. No response, after a couple of minutes, he walked back and found an employee two ailes from the checkout. She came to the front, could not get into the register, she went to the back and after several minutes, came back and asked us to move to the cafe. Where another employee walked from the back and finally, the first employee checked us out. When vocalized our wait with no employee visualized, she replied were short I saw two employees and spoke to a guy via prior to arriving in the store. How busy do you think a bookstore in Rock Hill is at 8:00 on a Wednesday night in January that three employees are nowhere in sight for probably 15 minutes .

Decent selection with a lot of new nerdy things. I thoroughly enjoyed browsing but no employees ever asked me if they could assist me on my visit.

Books a million has a great selection of books and magazines. They also get exclusive covers for comics some times which is cool. I love the comics section and graphic novel section. They carry alot of titles that other places might not carry but its not a comic book store by any means. I would definitely go back here to get exclusive covers or just to do some Christmas shopping for odds and ends and stocking stuffers.

Every single time I go into rock hill books a million and I ask for help finding a particular book im met with a wave of the hand and a general its over in that section response. Not only that but the last 3 times I went in for a specific book I was told it was in stock over there somewhere and could not get anyone to help me find it. The time before last I was told that they were going to add it onto their shipment order. Then when i cam in just last night asking about said book they were once more uber dismissive and told me they only do inventory once a year. Like how?! Yall are a major bookstore how can you justify only doing inventory once a year to see what you have in stock what you dont have in stock whats popular what should be ordered and you do inventory once a year?! Then I was told that the specific book Ive been looking for that Ive been told multiple times with in stock in the store that it was probably stolen and no they couldnt order one to be picked up in store. Im sticking to amazon, 2nd and Charles and the liberty books company from now on. Highly upset and would not recommend if you need any kind of assistance

Their exchange policy is behind the times. They wont accommodate with no receipt. Recieved 2 exact books for christmas and have no receipt, being a gift, and cant swap it out.And for this reason, I wont be returning to this ancient store.

Old favorite but times change. The coffee is not good, used to be; I think the staff is not versed in coffee beforehand and the machine is old. The store looks like Five Below with all of the junkie merchandise. Really no seating available to relax. Overall the place is there if you looking to just browse down the mall area. Like I said, went here when the store first opened, the store had the classic bookstore feel, but now it’s not the same.

I love this place great staff, nice music, great smell. Awesome selection. Only thing i dont like and havent done yet is get the rewards card that is 25 bucks. I wish it was free.
