Only had to wait less than 10 minutes on a busy Saturday. Good and service was just as fast and the food was outstanding. Great home cooked food served hot. Will definitely recommend to friends and family, and will be back soon myself!
Food is HORRIBLE!!!!! The greens are can with no taste, the candied yams are can with no type of cinnamon, all spice or nutmeg and no sugar or butter. The black eyed peas were hard (not done) no flavor at all. Beans were literally only blanched..I wasted $30 bucks on this food. Chicken parmesan was disgusting chicken tasted weird. I ordered the chopped steak, it was just okay but not seasoned had to drown it in A1 sauce. I would not go back and definitely will NOT send anyone here. If you are going to serve country or soul food you need to get some better recipes. I do not know how they seem to always be busy, needless to say there was not one brown or black person in sight...I see why...If I could give zero stars I would. Dont waste your time going here. Even the so called corn bread was inedible....Shame, shame, shame...
Ive gone a few times to this restaurant and really its average. The food is good, the service depends on the day, and the prices are average. Its not a bad place to go for food; however, for a diner, dont assume the food will come out fast. Some days, I get the food quickly, others, Ive had to wait awhile.Todays visit, I ordered the ham and cheese sub. It was delicious and honestly, I was surprised at how good their fries were. The fries werent over seasoned or under seasoned and were cooked just perfectly.For mothers with small children: Im a new mother and took my 2 month old here (clearly not for him to eat, but wanted him to experience places outside of home). The hostess immediately placed a high chair upside down for him and instead of letting me decide whats best for my baby, she kept saying, maam, you need to move your baby here before I even was able to place my diaper bag and purse down. The high chair she provided was rocking the entire time and was not very sanitary, as there was gunk from the floor covered all over it. I dont know how often this happens, but I would suggest taking a look at the high chair before placing your child in it.
An awesome dining experience with delicious food, generous portions and affordable prices. The banana pudding was delicious 😋 and all the food was so fresh. I absolutely loved that their vegetables did not have any meat in them and they still were flavorful! When we are in the Rock Hill area again, we would definitely visit! Looking forward to breakfast at this diner!
I have never tasted anything here that wasnt good. I have my favorites, of course, but whatever you choose should be a delicious experience. Staff is attentive and accommodating.
I was very surprised at how quickly breakfast was brought out. Apparently they make up in advance lots of grits, eggs, bacon, and other Essentials. But it is all fresh and very quickly delivered.
This is very similar to home-cooked food. My family and I had started going there at least once a week recently. The staff is usually very friendly. And the food is always amazing. I usually get their French dip sandwich with fried okra. I have never gotten something I didnt like. And theres a variety of food so there is something for everyone and you can go multiple times and get different stuff and not get bored. One of my favorite restaurants in Rock Hill.
Great Greek diner. Lots of food at great value. More than just Greek dishes. Like most Greek diners, lots of different dishes. Attentive wait staff, quick service. Will be back.
I love this diner their food is always fresh and filling. But I can’t give it a 5 star rating for the simple fact that I strongly dislike they only have macaroni and cheese on days they see fit It’s so discouraging. Please make macaroni and cheese an everyday item served.
Food is enjoyable. We never dine it but call for pick-up. The guy that takes calls needs a listen in customer service. Hes abrasive at best.
Once we were seated at a table we waited for 15 minutes for a server to grab our drink order. Numerous tables were sat after us and servers proceeded with getting their drink orders while we have been waiting for 20 minutes. Decided to leave since we were deliberately ignored by the staff that walked past us without even the slightest acknowledgment that we were in their presence.
Waitress was attentive. Food was great. We ordered 2 country ham breakfasts. One portion of ham was considerably smaller than the other. We mentioned it to waitress and she addressed it with owner/management.No result from management/owner. The least he could have done was come over to our table. Poor management. We left a generous tip to our waitress because it wasnt her fault.
Our waitress was Tina. She was awesome! Great customer service. What we ordered tasted great. Money well spent.

Walking in we were greeted by everyone. Whether busy or not you are promptly seated. Belueve me the food is well worth the wait. I had the chicken salad sandwich and fries. My daughter had the flounder. I will say that was not my first time but all the food on the menu is great. It makes me feel I am in New York authentic Greek Diner. Mmm it was ok.. it was my first time there. The waitress was falling asleep at the podium but she was nice. The guy that took my to go order seemed to have a small attitude, and the cashier that was a guy had the best customer service. Food very good seasoned nicely.
Family diner with huge menu of sandwiches and home cooked dishes. Options include American, Italian, Greek as well as salads and lots of sides. Portions are plentiful. Deserts appear homemade and 2 cakes and pie we tried were great.
We love diner food because of so many choices. But we love breakfast during the day or evening. Unfortunately. they stop serving breakfast at 12 pm So we will have to look for another diner
I think food quality and taste has deteriorated significantly. Service was ok. Not impressed with owners customer interaction especially if you come in only occasionally. I mentioned my dissatisfaction with quality degradation and their response was cool, not even lukewarm. I wont be back.
Food was good! I kept it simple with a chicken salad sandwich on toast with lettuce and tomato. I also added some cheese bc i was being fancy that day lol Tasty as you would imagine🤤 the onions rings could have used a bit more seasoning but everyone is different 🤷♀️ try it you might like it!

Absolutely the best comfort food Ive ever had. Been passing this place for quite a while and its always packed, now I know why. The Carolina Skillet is fantastic! Prices are excellent too, no where else have I been able to eat with my family and feel full while paying less than $30 including tip. Go there now!

Great food,,, awesome service! We had a great waitress who brought us cornbread and bread . Only place I know of in Rock Hill that actually has real butter,,,, and it made a difference,,,best cornbread I have ever had !! Tried the gyro,,, after finding out it wasnt frozen strips,,, really good sandwich and I liked having a side other than fries. I picked the house made potato salad and it was awesome! My wife had turkey dinner with turkey dressing,,,,she liked it,,,went back for the gyro platter,,,,it was awesome!! Met the owner,,, nice guy from Greece,, very accommodating,,thank you for the fantastic Greek food!! PS . Dont go there thinking it has all day breakfast,,,, breakfast is only until 11am.

Our waitress was Brandie, she was wonderful, easy to talk to and was on top of everything, the food was very good and the portions were huge. We went at 12:30 and it was packed, but we got seated right away and we got our food really fast

I recently moved to the Rock Hill area and this place has been busy every time I go by. I had some time to kill today. I stopped in for a quick lunch. Had the flounder with 2 sides and sweet tea. It was all good. The waitress was a lil out if sorts, had some delay getting her to the table. I could tell she was not the happiest person but I believe the kitchen staff was the main issue. I wanted the baked chicken and dressing but she told me she was trying to get some for another table but she would check. She came back and told me to choose something else because it did not look like anyone was going to open a can of cranberry sauce. Sad, but I was just happy so many showed up for work.
Im at work so I cant leave my usual long winded review. Suffice it to say that this place is an ice cold, crystal clear spring in the middle of the Sahara desert. I ordered the 10 oz. ribeye, cooked medium. It was delicious. I ordered a ribeye at Longhorns a couple of weeks ago and left most of it on the plate. It was terrible. Rock Hill diner...I dont even have words. If you like fried squash prepare to have your mouth exploded!!
While the building footprint is clearly an ex Sonnys franchise, this dinner is anything but and it is clean, warm and welcoming. Had the Carolina Skillet and everything about it was perfect. Real butter on the table, wait staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. This is where the locals dine. This one makes my repeat list. That is for a great meal!

We had a party of 9 on Saturday evening, during the dinner rush. Our server, Olivia, was outstanding! She had several large parties, but kept everyone well taken care of. The food was great too. We will definitely be back.

Rock Hill diner is a carry over from a long times ago. They serve good food at reasonable prices. They have a varied menu and great lunch choices. Ive been eating lunch there for over 5 years and every meal has been tasty and enjoyable. The staff has always been friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend stopping in and enjoying a meal.
Busy spot! Great service, but breakfast food was rather bland. Really hard to beat Big View Diner when it comes to breakfast food. But in a pinch, this is a good place to go. Its Greek owned (like Big View), and they know the restaurant business. At least thats what my wife tells me, shes Greek. 🤣
Roast Sirloin in Au Jus was super tender and flavorful, cabbage and squash reminded me of home. Our server was fantastic as well. Will definitely keep coming back!

0 stars if I could. Food was not good and the service was absolutely poor. To start off we came on a Sunday afternoon. This was my first time eating here but my friend had eaten here before and said it was good. I already expected to wait a little bit due to the day and time it was knowing they were probably a little busy. When we walked in, there was a lady standing behind the podium. I told her that we had two people, expecting her to ask for my name or something, all she said to us was to sit and she would call us. We sat down around the corner distanced from other guests. The guests before us were seated. Then two other groups came in, sat down, and were seated at tables before us. We had to get up, Move to another seat to be seen before we were seated at a table. Maybe you should take guests names, so you know the order in which guests arrive. Then the server came up, seeming rushed, got our drink order. She came back shortly after, still rushed, and got our order. I didnt even have time to look at the menu. I just ordered what my friend was having just to give her the order. I dont know what was going on with the server that day but she was either overworked and had to much going on or just simply wasnt there because she forgot half of what she said she was doing for us and she just wasnt organized. The service over all was poor. The food in all wasnt that good and the whole time we were been rushed to eat and get out. I was handed the check at the end and the server stated that she is not rushing us but here is the check and that if we want desert that she can adjust the check later. Having not ever been here before I didnt even get a chance to know what desert there was. I understand that it was a little busy but provide better service to your guests and give them more of your attention because poor service is only hurting your restaurant
This place was pretty sweet. I was in rock Hill from out of town. To be honest, I was looking for a little bit of a greasy spoon. This seemed to fit the bill, yet it wasn’t as greasy as I expected. However, that did not affect the taste or quality of the food that I had. Very excellent. Clean establishment, kind staff, great food. I would come here again.

Ate there recently with my wife. Excellent dining experience as always. My wife had the grilled chicken plate with two sides. I ate their double cheeseburger. Delicious! This is one of my absolute favorite places to eat on Rock Hill. Great variety on the menu. Breakfast is served only until about 11am so go early!

Good Breakfast. The place is big and clean. We went to eat on Sunday around 1030a an were seated immediately. They were busy and we got our food timely. They have many different options on their menu. I had the Gyro omelette and i was hesitant because of the feta, but it was good. I did all protein but it does come with grits or hashbrowns an toast. Food was not greasy which I love. If their parking lot looks full still go in because they have many seats. Good location and price is aroun $20-30 for a couple depending on what you get.

I always enjoy it here. The home cooked style meals are perfect for a Sunday lunch or even just as your passing through if you want something delicious. My recommendation is a sweet tea,, the chopped steak with onions and gravy, with a side of fried okra, mashed potatoes, and there amazing corn bread.
You got a lot of choices in Rock Hill, but my choice there is always Rock Hill Dinner.. Its one of those local special places that just dont forget..... Everything that I have tried on the menu is delicious and the servers are top notch they try hard to take care of you ....every time ....its a great atmosphere love eating there

The Diner is my favorite eatery. Everything I have had there has been really good. You get very large portions, so always leftovers to take home. Also the staff and owners are very friendly.
