Consistently good coffee and friendly staff. I do wish they offered a 20oz large but even without that, theyre better than most of the local coffee shops. I havent been inside the new location but I do love the drive thru.

Prices on food were on level and a bit higher than what Ive seen at other shops.Recommend the SW Chicken Salad.Some of the food felt a bit processed.Calm place that feels safe for many different types of people, not just the typical coffee house type :)Pour over available.

Very nice small coffee place with AMAZING breakfast burritos. I would recommend coming here just for the burrito to be honest.Im not a big coffee guy but I still enjoyed their drinks. They also slap some latte art on top of the foam.(Also you get a whole burrito but I ate half of the one in the picture 😁)

First time visiting today- I learned that the small building in front of Bent River (and also the regular CB location) is not a drive-thru. Ok, no problem, although Id prefer to go through one of those to get just coffee itself. There are only small handwritten signs on both of the buildings windows, so its difficult to tell that the small building is NOT the place to order if youve never been there before.So, I went inside. Its really gorgeous. Plenty of space, good atmosphere. I was at the front of the line. It took about 4-5 minutes before someone paid attention to me, but when they did, I asked whats your opinion, does your cold brew or iced coffee taste better?. Barista #1 said theyre the same. Barista #2 corrected her. Oops.I asked for a 16oz cold brew w/ sugar free caramel syrup and no ice. Thats it. No problem. She asked me to have a seat, and shed bring it to me. About 10 minutes after I entered the parking lot, I had a coffee. With ice. So- do I ask her to remake it with a number of people now in line, or do I just take it and leave? I opted for #2.The coffee tastes just fine- and the ambience is great; however, it wasnt exactly a baller first time visit. Ill likely return, but I do have a number of coffee options in the immediate area. Therefore, if there isnt an actual drive-thru option, and I have to wait longer than expected, and the order is incorrect- Im not sure I would feel an urge to come back.

The staff is always friendly and quick. I tried the drive thru for the first time today and it was easy and convenient! Tasty muffin and delicious latte. The online ordering is also easy to use. CB has made many changes lately to deal with pandemic procedures and it has only enhanced their customer service levels. Well done!

It’s become quite a habit of mine to order a breakfast burrito in the mornings after my workouts! Great, kind customer service, top notch coffee, and a very reasonable wait time for some amazing, fresh food! It’s awesome having such an amazing locally-owned shop around the neighborhood!

Best lattes I have ever had. The quality is consistent, the staff are beyond great. The owner is young and fresh and thats how the business is ran. Oh, and the cinnamon rolls will keep you coming in: warm, sweet and better than you can get anywhere else.

A very cozy establishment with generally top notch service and kindness. They offer light eats both for breakfast and lunch. The quality is great, but the expense matches. The coffee prices are very reasonable and they serve alcohol sparingly at this location as well. Seating is a bit sporadic so it can be difficult to find a cozy spot but the environment is very welcoming. During warmer months they offer a bit of outside seating, its a busier road but the option is still very nice.

Wonderful food and coffee. My absolute favorites from Cool Beanz are “The Quad” which is a sweet but not too sweet latte, and the grilled cheese which is by far the best grilled cheese i have EVER tasted, it’s a blend of crunchy and gooey and it comes with a side of very tasty kettle cooked chips, as well as a pickle. Overall, a very nice experience with wonderful atmosphere and is definitely worth the price!

Neat little spot for coffee, but more importantly the best cold brew in town. Strong, good prices, and flavorful black or with sweeteners. Holds up to the latest trends in coffee serving. So far, this is the only venue in the QC that Ive been able to enjoy my brew black, speaking to the quality of the beans and the preparation by the baristas. 10/10, would recommend.

I recently graduated from Augustana- one of the reasons I’m sad to soon be moving away from the Quad Cities is Cool Beanz!It’s a wonderful study spot. The beverages, food, and pastries never disappoint. The staff are always so friendly and fun.Over the years, I’ve tried the Care Package, chai, smoothies, and lattes. Today I had an iced vanilla latte with oat milk, would definitely recommend!My go-to food is the Gourmet Grilled Cheese. And their blossoms and GF brownies are amazing, as well.Thanks for being the best coffee shop around! I really appreciated the extra blossom I was given today!!

May be biased because my in laws live just down the street, but we stop at Cool Beanz every time we visit the area. Its the best coffee shop around! Its got a cozy, hipster, welcoming feel, and they often feature great local live music. They have many refreshing drink selections including all of the coffee shop basics, and a selections of specialty espresso and tea drinks. They also have a full bar. Along with their drinks, I LOVE their fresh, homemade breakfast options! My favorites are their breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito, which are both served with a cup of fresh fruit. I have never been here in the afternoon or for dinner, so I cant say how their other menu items are, but Id imagine they would be delicious as well. Overall, Cool Beanz is a great place to grab a coffee with a friend, study with a fresh lunch, grab a drink and listen to music, and so much more. I highly recommend!

Strong college coffee house vibe here; appropriate given its adjacency to the Augustana College campus. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. In keeping with the new recreational weed law, we noted that you could order CBD added to your beverage. Good thing that they have baked goods and other munchies available, I guess.

Nice atmosphere was very busy at 11 oclock. Got 3 different drinks and all were good. Had to wait to get a seat I wanted, next to an outlet and with a spot across from me for my friend.

We visit this place as a family on a weekly basis. My 5 year old loves the Chocolate Muffins (get it heated up) and my favorite is the Breakfast Burrito. The staff is always so friendly and the atmosphere is great! If its a nice day, check out the patio out front.

Nice atmosphere and pretty good coffee. The pastries and sandwiches are tasty and a great small meal. If youre not a coffee person they have a nice selection of teas, smoothies, and Italian sodas.

Only my second time there and Im definitely going to become a regular! First visit was an Americano with a chocolate chip muffin - basic yet great! Today, I ordered online amid the COVID-19. It was easy to navigate, which I love! My son got an apple blossom and I, an Americano and a grilled cheese. It was SO delicious!! The chips they serve with it are great as well! The lady on the phone was pleasant as well as the guy who brought my food to me! What a nice experience 😌

My 10-year-old daughter had to write a persuasive essay about her favorite restaurant. She wrote a two-page piece on how much she loves Cool Beanz Coffee house. I love it too. Not a huge menu, but everything is good - especially the seasonal items. I dont get creative with coffee drinks, but the smoothies are delicious. This is my office away from the office. It is a great place to meet friends, do some work, listen to some music, or sit in a big soft couch and read a book.

Love this place. Exactly what a coffee house should be. Great atmosphere, coffee, tea, food to include gluten free as well as free entertainment. Not to mention comfy places to sit! Open mic Tuesday evenings.

After having stopped for coffee on a couple occasions (and loved it!), I happened to see that there was live music playing on Friday nights. Last Friday night, Larry Boyd was playing. I had not heard Larry play before, but he was simply great. From Tom Petty, to Johnny Cash, and much more, he could entertain those of all interests. I invited four others to come with me, and they loved the evening as well! We had great drinks, great food (flat bread pizzas), and a great time together. We will be back, and I highly recommend Cool Beanz!

Cool Beanz is a local gem to the Quad Cities. There is great service, excellent coffee and great food here.I really like going here during the summer when my employers dinning facilities are closed to get a quick lunch since much of their menu tends to be summer-ish style food. I also like having brief work meetings here.The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I wish the menu had a few more vegetarian/vegan offerings.

This was our first time here and didnt really know how the place worked.First it we stood at the counter for 5 min before anyone came out of the back and then she acted like we didnt belong there and we were putting her out.We ordered 2 diplomas( blended Carmel late), they both were basically blended ice with no flavor.Im sure this would be a cool little place on weekends sitting back, listening to local music. But as for morning service today not so cool.

This is one of my favorite places to be in the Quad Cities. I work downtown Rock Island, but lovingly refer to Cool Beanz as the South Branch of my office. I love the staff, the coffee, and the simple but delicious menu.

The service, drinks, food, staff, events, EVERYTHING is great here. Its cozy and the staff truly make an effort to get to know you. They are also extremely philanthropic, so you know youre making a difference some how, every time youre there.

Cool Beanz is a great coffee house. Their food menu is small, but thats because there is a lot that goes in to each item. The coffee is good, and the beverage menu has a fun college theme. Presentation is great, and the staff was friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

Unfortunately, my 1st experience here was during a Mimosa Madness event. When my friend and I arrived we waited in line for 10 minutes before we ordered, no big deal. Then there was no where to sit, so we sat on the steps to the stage. More than an hour and a half later our food arrived. Cold. The mimosas were good and the coffee was good. The food was overpriced. An hour and a half for food is ridiculous. Unacceptable. If we had been told when we ordered it would be that long we simply would have gone somewhere else that morning and come back at a less busy time. Now, I probably wont return. I feel like I was held hostage for nearly 2 hours after ordering. For breakfast. This place wont be affected by me not coming back, theyve got a great steady stream of college kids who walk there from campus. We were definitely out of place there. Bottom line is, an event wad created and advertised, that they were not prepared to host. They had 1 person staffing the kitchen with an hour and a half wait for the so so food.

I started going to Cool Beanz back when they first opened in 2009. I just started college at Augustana (back in 2009) and I will never forget the coffee drinks. This place was and is still great. I really enjoyed my time at Cool Beanz. The staff is great and so is the atmosphere. Great addition to Rock Island. Im glad to see that this place is still in business 7 years later.

This place is amazing as always and gets better everyday! They are open during the pandemic for outdoor/indoor seating, curbside pickup and to-go orders. Really good coffee; I like their espresso based drinks, theyre creamy and not so bitter. They serve a breakfast sandwich that is very good and filling, the burrito looks amazing but never had it. Atmosphere is great if youre looking for a quiet place to read or do some work, however they do have some open mic events throughout the year so sometimes in the evening it can get a bit loud and it becomes more of a place for meeting friends while hanging out and having a drink. They also serve alcohol and beers. Employees are the best!

Probably my favorite coffee house in the area. It has a nice vibe and being in the College Hill District makes it even more charming. Im not big into coffee drinks, but their edible items are delicious. Highly recommended.

Found this place by accident, and so glad I did. Great food and coffee. Their mini apple pastries are delicious too! Artsie atmosphere, and they support local artists.Gotta try their alcohol beverages later in the evening; some specialty drinks would make a great relaxing ambiance for late hour homework.

Oh good goose god in the sky, where do I begin..Okay let me give the *only* reason Im allowing two stars first: the atmosphere of the place. Its a dimly lit coffee lounge with an empty stage, so I assume they have some sort of venue occasionally. Theres a mixture of tables and a comfy couch or two. So I can dig what it has to offer in that department.However, the staff, the drinks, and the cleanliness are all horrid. The lady who checked us out at the register gave us a, Dont talk to me, face the entire time and only spoke when necessary--even shortly when she did. The drinks were quickly made (a plus!), but they were extremely rushed and we could tell they used the bottom of the barrel ingredients to make them. I had a strawberry smoothie. Did they use *actual* strawberries? No, they put an extreme amount of syrup into it. And Im usually able to stomach coffee, but my fiancees iced coffee had to almost be spat out.Finally, the cleanliness. We sat at a table that looked to be wet from being recently wiped down. But it was still so sticky and stained that it was disgusting. The pad I used to insert my debit card while checking out has never been wiped down since they set it up. And finally, the area where you toss out your trash was filthy (and not just from the trash).Never coming back.

I like Cool Beanz. Staffing sometimes though is out of whack. Not enough help to handle s rush. Long lines and wait. Maybe thats the nature if the Coffee Shop world. Other than that CB is a go.

Went there to see my daughter play in the blackhawk collage band. Very nice establishment. Staff very friendly. Other Patriots were just as pleasant as eveyone. I really enjoyed it. I will be back. Thank you.

I have enjoyed many different types of coffee and cappacinos. I also enjoyed an egg and bacon bagel breakfast sandwich which was delicious. I prefer to sit on the comfy sofa near the warm stove when its chilly out but when the weather is nice sitting outside at the table and chairs is very nice. You can also sit on bar stool type chairs at the stores west window and read a book or watch the traffic go by and drink any one of the delicious menu items. This place is mostly for adults and children may be disturbing. They aldo have any item to go.

The eclectic clientele and menu make this establishment much more than a coffee shop. This has become a staple of the Rock Island Hilltop business center. Whether you need to discuss business, politics or simply poeple watch, this local venues courteous and prompt service is the place to be.

My espresso crafted beverage was perfect. The barista even made me a heart flower with my steamed milk. And he was well versed in coffee knowledge. The atmosphere is gorgeous. Full bar and full menu. Food coming out of the kitchen was welI plated. I cant wait to go back!!!

I was reluctant to have the coffee I craved the minute I stepped through the door because of caffeine concerns, but was assured the decaf would be safe. I would sleep...so, I took the chance and enjoyed a decaf americano with a delicious healthy dessert bar. And I slept soundly that night! Woo-hoo!

Top 5, worst customer service experience. She failed to greet my girlfriend and I. Made me feel like an idiot looking for the smoothie flavors. Huge 👎🏼 The mango smoothie is pretty good though.

Really disappointed. Coffee was okay, but we called an hour ahead of time and when we got there, they had forgotten part of the order and had to wait 30 minites for a wrap to be made while staff bickered.

I wanted to like this place... until they gave me a slip for only ONE free hour of wi-fi. I had to pull out my phone and double check that it was 2018. I was planning on getting some laptop work done, but had to leave at the end of the hour... and reflecting on it, realized that I probably wouldnt go back unless it was just to get a coffee to go.The barista was nice, the food and drink were okay... but the table and bathroom were also not very clean.
