Dave is the best. I was in town for a few days and needed a bluetooth stereo installed in a older car before a long drive. Called and spoke with dave, he said come on down and it will done today. He called a couple hours later to say it was done. When I arrived he walked me to my car, he jumped in and showed me how the new unit worked. Thanks

Called for appt ahead and told them make/model and what needed to be done. Was told it can be done !Monday came and was notified hours later they couldnt fix ussue. What kind of professionals are these ppl? No good,waste of my time.

Six months ago, I had my Directed Smart Start and Python Remote module fitted to my 2014 Mustang.From my initial contact (phone) with Cars and Stereos, they were very professional. I brought my car in for them to take a look at, made an appointment for the same week!On picking up my car, Dave explained how the System worked and it has worked flawlessly since! Ive had remote starts put in 2 family members cars from here. The owner is incredibly nice and patient, and work is done quickly without cutting corners. When I had an issue with my remote, it was fixed next day free of charge. I would recommend this place for any service/add-ons to your vehicle.

Hello prospective customers for Cars & Stereos-to hit you in the face up front-this is the place to go especially in the greater Rockford area. I had them install a head unit that I purchased in my Volvo S80. This is not a simple task which youd know if youve ever done electrical/electronic work on any Volvo. The finished work was clean and everything worked correctly. My only regret was buying my head unit from Crutchfield and not directly from C&S. I have since purchased other installation items from them and they are high quality, good fitting parts. I will continue to give them my business.

Great service, terrific quality work. Brought my Porsche in and Dave was very friendly and did a great job on my custom requests. Any other stereo work I have done belongs to him.

My husband bought me a remote start for my 2008 Chrysler Pacifica for Christmas 2011. I got it installed in Jan. 2012. 2 days later my car wouldnt start. We called them up & they wanted us to tow it to them at our expense. After arguing back & forth they finally towed it at their expense to the shop & ended up putting a brand new one on. Then one year later Jan. 2013 my car wouldnt start again. The thought never crossed my mind that it was the remote start. We called our car dealer & the towed it to their shop. They called me up reporting that the remote start was the problem & that it probably fried my computer system. They needed to take it off. I called the owner, David, at Cars & Stereos to report the issue & he swore up & down that there wasnt an issue with the remote start. Our issue was the 1st ever. (Yea I highly doubt that.) The car dealer mechanics removed the remote start & my car started. I then called David back & he wanted to put a new remote start on my vehicle. I dont thinks so buddy. He told me to call him in a week to let him know if any thing else happened to my car. I called back & he kept avoiding my phone calls. I swear he has caller ID with my number near it to not answer, or have someone else answer for him to take a message. Phone calls were never returned. All I was asking for was at least half the money back for failure of the remote start not once but twice. NOPE he hasnt returned my calls, but yet he doesnt want a bad reputation. Well guess what, now Im writing this review, & a not so good one! My car both times reeked of cigarette smoke as well when we got it back. Very rude & disrespectful, since we dont smoke!

WORTHLESS COMPANY. Had them install a new starter, they screwed up other parts of the car which had to be taken to dealer and they say they never did anything wrong... FYI - that is why Anderson Nissan no longer uses this waste.

Terrible owner!!!! I was inquiring what parts I would need to install an aftermarket car stereo and the guy says He was busy! and did not even want to talk to me. I tried calling back and speak to a manager and same guy answers and says Hes the owner! WOW! What a way to run a business if you cant even talk to a prospective customer!
