My husband and I went looking for a replacement ring set for me and weve seen and heard commercials for this place before. W e walked in and were greeted by one of the Jewelry makers, once told what we were looking for he handed us off to an older gentleman that, to say, didnt seem like he wanted me to there. He sounded as if we were taking up his time and had better things to do. Instead of purchasing something there we left and look elsewhere. If you want to spend your money on jewelry and you get passed of to someone else that makes your business feel unwanted, just walk out!

Very friendly and helpful. Weve purchased jewelry, had rings repaired and had watch batteries replaced. Very reasonable.

I seldom write reviews-but Clodius deserves an Internet share. I have a Versace watch that lost the pin from the clasp underneath. (Could not close) For over two years it has been in a drawer as I was told by FOUR other jewelers in Rockford that it was unfixable. (The fifth jeweler I tried was in Indianapolis) I had brought a necklace in to be fixed, and asked about the watch. I was told to bring it in. Needless to say, Tim at Clodius & Co. Jewelers in Rockford was able to fix the clasp. I was called with updates and cost estimates prior to any work beginning, and given a choice about how it could be fixed, based on cost. The work was completed quickly as well. (less than a week) If you have jewelry that you have been told cannot be fixed, bring it here. I wish there was a way to give Clodius more than 5 stars. They deserve it.

All the staff at Clodius are super friendly and very helpful. You can tell they make it a point to put the customer first. Working with Tim was a pleasure and he does excellent custom work.

Great price but out of valentines offer. Didnt stop me from getting a cute pair of earrings. Lot was clean as so was inside. Didnt notice public restrooms but thats not why I was there. Lol. Did notice handicap parking and accessible for inside. I recommend this place as staff was so friendly. The atmosphere was upbeat and everyone was in love.

Came to Clodius after having issues with the engagement and wedding rings my husband had purchased for me at Kay Jewelers. There were microscopically sharp edges to the back of the ring where the diamonds were set which caused irritation to my skin. At Kay we were told that I have an allergy to gold and that I should get a different ring, even though I know I do not have an allergy. The staff at Clodius was incredibly understanding and helpful in identifying the problem as an irritation, giving me direction on steps to take to heal, getting my ring surgically sterile, and smoothing out those rough edges that were causing me pain.I wish we had started our ring journey with Clodius to begin with! I especially appreciated that they were so helpful even though the jewelry was originally purchased elsewhere.Thank you Clodius & Co.!

The sales associate was very helpful in helping me find materials available in their stock to fix my bracelet. I did my own repair and it looks perfect. Removing one star because the elderly gentlemen behind one of the displays wouldnt stop staring at me the entire time I was waiting. Not sure if he thought I was suspicious or if he just was peering at me innocently. Still made me uncomfortable enough to mention it in my review.

The people who work here are always so kind and patient with me! Recently got a custom ring made to be my future wedding ring, and once we are ready I am going back to get my SOs custom made as well. This ring has been a dream of mine for about 8-9 years, and they nailed it. Worked with my budget, and i was sent email updates through out the entire creation process. I am so thrilled. Designed a custom engagement ring with Tim, and I have worked with him twice now. Will never go to anyone else for custom work, and of course she said yes and she loves it.Update: the wedding was perfect and our custom rose gold rings were the figurative icing on the cake! The ring is unique, quality, and truly gorgeous! I love everything about it! I had my ring resized and they had it completed for me same-day. I have also returned for a wedding band and cleanings and the service is friendly ans spectacular! Five star service and product!

I needed a new watchband for my 93 year old mothers favorite watch for her birthday. No one in town had one. I stopped at Clodius to see if they had one, they did not. However, the elegant gentleman who assisted me looked at the watchband and had the jeweler remove two links from the band. Free of charge. It looks great and fits great. My mom was thrilled . Changed my watch battery and a bracelet repair for alot less than another store we just shopped at.

My grandmother is a repeat customer at Clodius & Co but after her experience today (8/15) she will no longer patronize this business. An employee Brian belittled her based on race and socioeconomic status. My grandmother wanted a necklace shortened and when she inquired with Brian, he said why would you want to have a this CHEAP $25 dollar necklace shortened. Then tried to back peddle when she showed him the price tag and specifications of her piece. I tried to call and speak with someone at Clodius & Co to resolve the situation and once again I was connected with Brian who tried to downplay the situation and she just perceived the situation the wrong way. Last time I checked your an employee, you should be trying to bring in business regardless of how “cheap” someone’s item is. IF YOUR A PERSON OF COLOR STAY AWAY, THIS IS NO LONGER A FRIENDLY SPACE!UPDATE AS OF 8/17/18:I reached out on 8/15 when this event took place. When I spoke to Brian he was not apologetic, his response was “she took it the wrong way, she perceived the situation incorrectly”. When I called all I wanted was an apology, a simple “I’m sorry” would have sufficed. Brian couldn’t accept that he had did wrong. Brian’s “apology” was a walk around, a “I’m sorry but..” and that’s the issue.

It has took me awhile to reach out but Im very disappointed with Clodius. My now husband had ordered engagement rings from you guys and told you that he would be proposing to me and you guys told him you would call when our rings were ready.. needless to say the whole Idea of a proposal would be for him to ask me to Marry him, well you guys called and I answered his phone and you proceeded to say you was calling for Joseph to let him know his rings were ready!!! Ruined his whole surprise, our whole proposal, how horrible is that!! Id never recommend anyone to come here

The staff was extremely friendly, however I had a ring resized and I am very disappointed . I paid $200 to have this ring resized and I can see both areas where ring was cut and resoldered. I have had numerous rings sized and never have I seen this

I took some gold jewelry to them several months ago, their magic # seems to be $500 plus but a store credit would of been over $800. Two yesrs ago they did the same thing, (stupid me). Last week I took a gold chain and medallion to them, I was quoted $207, but prior to going there I went to Sotos Jewelry store just 15 min b4 and they quoted me $302 for the same piece of jewelry, which proved my suspicions that I got screwed several months ago...smh

My client bought a 1700 dollar watch she had used layaway to purchase it she had put it on layaway in 2013. She never missed a payment and she had paid it off in 2016 and tried to return it. They wouldnt return it even though she never wore it never taken it out of the store before asking to return it and still refused to refund her.

I am very disappointed with the marketing this business displays. I have never purchased anything from Clodius & Co. and I will never conduct business with them unless they agree to pull their inappropriate marketing. Some of the television commercials I have seen in the past have been very sleazy in nature. Lately, this company has launched billboards that state Put a Ring on the Finger and shows a lady with her ring finger up (as if she is trying to imitate a middle finger gesture). If you are to see this billboard for the first time you would think she is giving everyone the bird (if you are to see the gesture from a distance). It is clear that the retailers implication is to make light of a middle finger gesture. If I had children, I would not want them to see these billboards and I am sure Rockford has its fair share of upset parents whose children are forced to see these pathetic billboards as they drive down a street with one posted.

Took my plat diamond watch to them for repair took for ever at least 2 to 3 months they shipped it germany to be repaired, I took it to a jeweler to have them use a diamond tester on it and guess what they traded my diamonds for white sapphires and zircon, im really pissed probably how they moved and its been in a bank vault so noone could have done it but them, i was right their both times when checked for diamonds i guess i should have keep that part and just gave them the guts of the watch at least i would still have my old mined diamonds that was worth so much, going to another jeweler for to have tested again 2 is better then one then im reporting this
