This place is amazing! We signed waivers and went straight into our game, no waiting involved. The puzzles were challenging but not too hard and the ambiance was awesome! The man running our game was very polite and friendly and even wished my mom a happy birthday. This place is a ton of fun and we will definitely be back!

This place requires a reservation 3 hours a head of time. And they are strict on that. So be aware. I tried to schedule a 4pm game at 1:10 and was told I couldnt. The one star was just so I can make this post. Im sure its a great place. Just make sure you plan accordingly.

Not organized at all. You’d have to be inside the mind of the person that created it to know what is going on. Spent 30 mins trying to figure out where to even start. Clues were awful and didn’t even lead you to where you needed to go. Actually found the 3rd clue first which didn’t even go to anything in the game at all. It was a mess and not fun bc it was so frustrating. Don’t waste your money here. Went to a different one in another town and it was great!

I had a reservation to play as a surprise with my daughter and 3 friends. our reservation (booked a month ago) was for 12:00. When arriving, the building was dark and the door was locked. we waited a bit, assuming we would be let in, maybe they were setting up room. At 12:15, I called the phone number to be told that the employee would be coming, he was leaving his second job but he would be there, what? We waited another 10 minutes with no one in sight and left. This was extremely unprofessional and a huge disappointment to my daughter and her friend. I sure am glad that I didnt pay them anything ahead of time.Later in the day, I receive a congratulating email for escaping the room with a picture of 3 individuals who played, a bit off putting. I will not return to this and advise others likewise.

I feel compelled to share how completely dissatisfied we were with our experience, since we felt comfortable trying this place based on positive reviews.We have done dozens of escape rooms and this is by far the worst in every possible way.Very poorly designed game. The full username and part of the password to a laptop were printed on a paper and we had to find the remaining letters to the password. All the letters in the username and pwd were capitalized, yet the username and password only worked when entered in lower case. Ignoring that usernames are NEVER case sensitive; they were both clearly given to us in upper case. We wasted far too much time on this until the monitor saw our struggles and told us the error. We proceed to the next clue which gave us the page number in a book which would have the answer we needed. After struggling with this for way too long also, we were told that the answer is on the next page, not the page that was clearly written in the clue. Games sometimes contain clues which are too ambiguous or imprecise. We eventually realized that in this game, clues would not be ambiguous or imprecise, but rather precisely wrong and misleading. This made it impossible to enjoy our experience.When we provided feedback on these and other faults in the game, the employee was dismissive and blamed us. He showed no interest in fixing the misleading clues to improve the experience for others.I hesitate to mention it, because it was not the primary problem, but the lobby was filthy. Our family and friends wasted what should have been an enjoyable afternoon and left frustrated and disappointed.

This was really fun. Some parts were easy and others not at all yet putting our minds together we figured a lot out. Very creative and a fun challenge.

Ive never done an escape room but went with my girlfriend and some of her family and had an amazing time! We did the Egypt theme room and it was an incredibly fun experience. Very challenging and engaging while being interesting and fun. An hour seems like a long time until you have 3 rooms to solve! The owner was very informative and the environment was very comfortable. Would recommend to ANYONE looking for something different and fun to do.

Great family fun

Great escape room! We played three Egyptian themed one with a group of eight. The puzzles were decently challenging and the various props/setups were top notch. We completed the room successfully with none minutes to spare and used one clue. The staff was friendly and we all had a great time. Well definitely be back sometime to complete the other room. Mind games is definitely worth the stop if you are in Rockford with a group of people looking to have some fun.

I went here with my boyfriend for a fun date night out. It was difficult to solve with just us two but WOW did we have fun!! The multiple rooms and attention to detail was phenomenal. A clever set of mind puzzles that isn’t as easy as the other escape room in town. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. Staff was engaging, friendly and provided a unique interactive experience.

Weve done 7 escape rooms in 3 different states and this was one of the best! We did the pharoh escape and it was amazeballs! Xavier was our game master and he was the best game master. He was more attentive then anyone that has helped us and he even took time at the end to let us walk through and finish the room. He made the escape amazing and deserves a raise! Or at least a beer ;)I would give 10 stars if I could.

We had the opportunity to experience this adventure as a group. The owner Mike is very friendly and attentive. If I could have given 10 stars I would. Very well organized. As a group we were very needy and Mike attended to all of our needs. Thanks for a good time. Can’t wait to come back to Rockford. A must see!

My friends and I went here expecting to enjoy a night out solving mysteries and cracking codes at a local escape room. What we got was so much more.Some could argue that its a bigger feat to handle an excessive number of excited high schoolers than it was for our team to escape our room, and yet the staff member on duty rose to the occasion and exceeded any expectations we had for the place. I cant tell if we had a better time solving mysteries in the Secrets of the Pharaoh or spending our down time with Xavier.The experience is well worth the price and the room was a good challenge. Our puzzles werent so difficult that they were impossible to figure out, but they werent so easy that we figured them out right away. It was a fantastic night out and all of us are eager to come back and try the other rooms.Chances are, well come back even after weve beaten all of the rooms. Just to hang out with the staff. Theyre super cool.

Really fun location with great staff! I took my family here (6 adults) and all of us were pleasantly surprised at the design and quality of the room. We didnt make it out, but had a great time regardless. We plan to be back for more in the future!

They told me to book a reservation for 10 pm and arrive 15 minutes early, and then when I arrived they were closed.

Definitely you Should try it! I wasnt sure what to expect going in to this activity. What a blast. you get 60 minutes to solve the puzzles, codes, Ciphers and clues in order to escape from the game and you will need all 60 of it to succeed. We finished just as the buzzer was going off. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The challenge level seems right on the money - not too easy and just difficult enough that you will need to use the three clues you are allowed in order to complete the game. Dont be scared off by the fact that it looks like an unassuming strip mall store front. These guys definitely know what they are doing. Liked the Egyptian theme to the game as well.

This was so much fun to do! I enjoy playing the escape room games online but it was super fun to get the chance to find the clues and stuff in person. Definitely something different and fun to do with family and friends!

Very fun! Everything was prepared for the time I got there at. It was my first time but for some of the sections, my group got stuck since we were a bit worried about breaking something and didnt know what to expect. Puzzles generally felt a bit to linear, so sometime you might be waiting for other members to finish a section. There is also definitely little to no replay value as well unless youre really insistent on speedrunning.

Our group of six had a really good time trying this for the first time. The owner and staff were very nice and helpful. Looking forward to trying the other rooms.

We had a blast in the Pharaoh Room! There was 1 adult, an 8 year old, a 10 year old and 3-12 year olds. They did great! I had no idea how it would go with the kids, but they cant wait to go back and try the other room. Staff was phenomenal. Thanks so much for a great experience.

This was so much fun! I honestly was a little bit skeptical about the experience to start with, but our group had so much fun! Cant really tell you details, but if you are looking for fun with a group of friends, you will find it here. Really have to use your head, and work off of each others strengths and weaknesses. We will be back!

Not the best organized game -- but we had fun! Puzzle answers were illogical (you could get the correct digits, but the order to out them in was never clarified in the game). There was a weird moment where the video footage stopped for the game master so her just came and stood in the corner of the room with us.

Had a blast with my boys ages 8 and 9. The Pharaoh beat us bad but we had a great time doing it. Staff here is great, would highly recommend this as a destination, worth a bit of a drive from where you are.

Super disappointing experience. The word I would use to describe this place is Lazy. Right down to how dirty everything was to how many of key clues in the room not working or were flat out missing! Dust was everywhere in the room. Cleanliness was clearly not something that this establishment feels is important. Also, key clue pieces and doors not opening when they should is beyond frustrating. When the person has to walk into the room when u ask for a clue and says oh wait thats not there? Or oh that door isnt opening? thats freaking ridiculous. How do you expect people to escape from the room when you have key items from the room missing?! That shows that you were to lazy to put your room back together properly. No way I would ever come here again. This by far was the worst escape room experience Ive ever had. When there is no care and no passion, it shows.

Bought Groupon for 10 people, booked the game Exit Protocol for for bachelorette party. We came from Melrose Park, Chicago and DeKalb for this. We recieved a reminder email/conformation the day before. Arrived day of reservation, they couldnt find it in their system. Here I am with my bridal party and the owner shows up to tell me he cant issue me a refund because I bought it through Groupon. BUT Groupon wont issue me refund because it was purchased more than 3 days prior.Longer story owner (Mike) told us the game we booked wasnt working and they called everyone who signed up for that game... except me. He also confirmed, no one called me. So they closed the game thus deleting my reservation. He wasnt apologetic and we had to demand a refund. No remorse as fed us a sob story about him and how hes losing money. In the end he finally gave us a check for a refund and we had to hunt for something else to do. Thanks for ruining my day!
