No one even said hi to me. Like I was invisible. Was not dressed like a golfer because I was taking a break from work. Looking to buy a wedge and sand wedge but will now go elsewhere. It was not busy when I was there, 2 other people in the store.

I appreciate the employees there. They work very hard to make customers happy. Eric did a great job helping me pick out a golf cart and a bag.

My husband I worked with Brent to find custom clubs for my 6’3 left handed husband. Brent was very patient with us being new golfers, shared a ton of great tips and information, and helped us find some clubs that work for my husband. I highly recommend the Golf Shack to anyone looking for great service, custom clubs, and accessories.

Clean and very friendly staff, nice driving range to practice from and a comfy bar to have a few drinks or order some food to eat. The bar is attached to the building but has nothing else to do with the Golf Shack.

Wonderful experience having my 5 year old son fitted for clubs. Was great to get to try the clubs before buying.

The Golf Shack is THE place to go to get golf equipment. The staff here are always nice and they have a good knowledge of the game. Any time I have a question I know I can get an answer here. Great selection of new clubs and a decent number of used clubs for sale. No matter how you cut it... if you like golf then you wont be wasting a stop into the Golf Shack.

I love coming here with my dad and driving golf balls. They are at a decent price and it is very fun. The employees are respectful and very nice to you. I love this place.

Literally go anywhere else for anything pro shop related. Staff couldn’t be any less knowledgeable even when they claim to know what they are talking about. Very unfriendly guy behind the counter. 3 employees working there, with nobody else in the shop, and they cared more about their inventory and counting stock than helping me with a replacement shaft. Acted like I wasn’t even there. The range is fine and Garrett’s is decent but the pro shop is terrible.

Drove down from Madison after setting up an appointment with Don Blecker for a fitting. Couldn’t be happier with my customer service. Beginner golfer was slightly intimidated with the process but Don made me feel comfortable. I recommend anyone no matter what level to give this a shot. Fitting was very reasonable and since I bought clubs same day I didn’t pay for the fitting. You have a customer for life.

Been to this location four separate times wanting to drop a decent amount of money on some clubs, at no point did anyone ask if I needed anything or if I needed any help finding something. The customer service is nonexistent... So I spent my $$ somewhere else... Seems you must be a regular To get any service, the driving is very nice though...

Customer service really isnt their thing here. I was here for 20 minutes looking at shoes and no one came over to see if I needed anything or had any questions. Another customer came in, one that they obviously recognized, also looking for shoes and they we on him right away. Making suggestions, asking qualifying questions...the while 9 yards. Me....nothing. Prices are higher than normal and most of the time you can find what youre looking for online, free shipping and cheaper. This location is a perfect example of why retail stores are dying. No thought to real customer service and theyre only willing to help when/if they recognize you. Sorry Golf Shack, you lose. Everyones money is green and I came in wanting to spend it.

The selection is very broad. There staff is always helpful friendly knowledgeable and most importantly available. The prices are very competitive. Im not sure what else you can ask for in a golf store? Oh yes I didnt mention theres a driving range just out their back door for you to try out clubs or practice. It is covered and some of the positions have inferred heaters above. I believe they have instructions too but not 100% sure of it. Its a pretty easy place to spend more time than you planned on if you are a golfer. Finally if you do lose track of time and find yourself hungry and thirsty, they have a restuarant and bar at the far end of the shop to rest and lie to your buddies about great shots and low scores. TRY IT YOULL LIKE IT. Heck if you dont you can still complain about my bad review over a couple of brews.

My wife and I set up a fitting appointment on the phone for our 15 year old girl soon to be sophomore in high school. Shes entering her 2nd season in high school golf. Upon our arrival we truly didnt know what to expect. We were greeted with a warm welcome by a gentleman with glasses was very nice just asked a couple of questions regarding my daughters needs and what shes looking for in clubs. After a short conversation he introduced us to Richard he was very sincere and professional. I felt as if Richard truly cared about all the needs of my daughter and making sure the club truly fit her. Richard even gave a couple of helpful tips which we truly appreciated. He took the time and wasnt pushy to just sell the products. Richard truly demonstrated product knowledge of the clubs and what my daughters needs were didnt feel rushed at all. The experience was absolutely great and would recommend anyone to GO SEE Richard and allow him to assist you, and get you properly fitted for your next set of clubs. #goseerichard

When it comes to buying golf equipment at an actual store the choices are very slim. The Golf Shack definitely has the most stuff to choose from. They also offer regripping and reshafting and other tweaks and repairs. Theres also a driving range on premises for some club testing. The staff is generally helpful and friendly.

Honestly I never have very good luck here. It is real hard to get waited on. You would think that with all the online competition out there they would really push service since their prices are higher but Ive stood there forever and not been approached by anyone several times.

If you want clubs FIT for you...DO NOT GO HERE!!! They only care about TAKING your money!!! The term fittingis very misleading!! The fitting I had consisted of them tell me to go see what I liked, out on the range! No help from them whatsoever!!!!!

I was fitted for a new driver here. Started off on there indoor sim and launch monitor. I worked with Steve and he put me through the works getting the club to exactly how I need it to best fit my swing. After we narrowed it down to a few clubs we went out to the driving range to watch actual ball flight. Within 45 mins I now have a new driver fit exactly to my swing.

They have about everything regarding golf. Nice Driving range as well. Usually the place I go for anything golf related.

Very knowledgeable staff. Dont try to oversell you. Listened to what I need and found me the perfect driver.

I apparently bought my set of clubs on a off day. I was extremely excited to get a new set at a professional shop. Im 61 and expected to need longer custom clubs. I went with their recommendation of standard length clubs. Now a year later I still struggle hitting the ball like I had with my old clubs. I went into a golf shop in Austin while visiting. My clubs are 1 to small based on my height and wrist to floor measurements. I learned to do a little more research myself before letting the pros instruct me.

I also dont like this place, but they are the only Golf store in Rockford. The fitters only offered whats on the rack, and ordering another shaft consisted of me looking through a catalogue, and picking one out that i liked. But isnt that the fitters job? Also another time I had bought my Titleist driver from Club Champion in Chicago ( authorized dealer ) and Golf Shack wouldnt reshaft it because they thought I picked it up off Ebay! ( what difference that makes I have no clue )They told me to take it back to Chicago to get the a new shaft. I can go on and on, ...you get the hint.
