This place used to have the best chicken tacos ever! But they had gotten a different cook and the food wasn’t the same. It still isn’t but this cook has improved. This food regardless of the cook is rich in flavor, full, and just overall FANTASTIC! I LOVE this place food. They really give you LOTS of meat and it’s very inexpensive. I only paid $11 for 3 chicken tacos (chunks of chicken) with cilantro, onion, and cheese and a side of rice. I can’t explain how good they are. Make sure you try this place before another in Rockford.

I’m new to town and I was driving around looking for food establishment . Noticed this corner store and turned into it. Ended up walking through the bodega side and then ran into the kitchen. Let me tell you, I had one of the best meals this year. This food was rich in flavor and abundance! I will only come back here going forward!

To the new owners. I would put more attention to your produce section. Although you are a small establishment; you do have customers that need your services close by. Me being one of them. Came in tonight and was disappointed in the selections. Hope this review gets your attention.

I waited 10 minutes for my order to be taken. I then waiting 30 minutes to just find out my order had not been started because the cook was not there yet. I was not told before I ordered that the cook was not there yet. The time was 1:30pm I don’t understand how the cook had not arrived yet. Costumer service is the worst I have ever experienced and I work in costumer service and am more lenient because I understand. But this is just extremely bad......... from the owners to the workers clearly unorganized . I can’t speak for the food quality because I left but if you’re willing to wait an hour, For a most likely average food this is it.

They purposely over charge you. ALWAYS CHECK! not the first time and talking to other people that had the same issue just shows it’s not an accident.

Tacos used to be the best in the area, they have a different cook now. This make s a difference. Please hire that guy back and give him good wages, the tacos wont be the same. Will have to move this place from the top 3 to the middle of the list.

Good for a quick stop for Mexican food items. Large meat selection but who knows where the animals came from? English not spoken much but they try English and I try my Spanish. We do fine! All in all I always go back.

If you like chorizo tacos this is the place to get it at! I get my taco fix on the weekend here and never disapointed. The food is great and the price is decent. The service is ok not too bad sometimes it depends who you get. But this is the place for good food.

Man was very rude to me when explaining debit card policy to him after refusing to accept my debit card for a purchase less than $5.00. This is a violation of the credit card issuer regulations and a way for this store to nickel and dime their customers. People please be aware of the regulations Visa and MasterCard have set to protect you as their clients.

Restaurant area and Latin female took order and it was hard because she barley spoke english. I ordered 5 basic tacos. Waited 25 minutes, I was the only customer in the place. During this time a woman came in and walked to the back and made her food and brought up behind cash register and started eatting before I got my food. Ummmm, why? I walked around store then came back to counter and still waited. Finally after this long wait she brought food to me as I was gonna eat five tacos all by myself. The order was to go. So, I waited another 5 plus minutes for her to make it to go. Then waited another 5 plus minutes for her to ring it up and the other girl that was eatting had to come help her. Well, with all this said they told me It was $17 dollars and change. So, you are telling me its almost $18.00 for ONLY 5 Basic Tacos? So, thats almost $3.40 plus for one taco. Major rip off, but not with me. They told me these are Mexican Tacos. Lol I dont care what kind of tacos they are not paying $18.00 for tacos. I walked out. horrible service and a scam.

Theyre in noooo hurry to serve the customers! The first time I went the lady was mad because she couldnt understand English! And the second time I just walked out after waiting almost 10 minutes to get my order taken!!

They over charged my mom on several occasions. The quality of fruits,meats, and vegetables are not good in comparison with other local Latino businesses.

The service is horrible here!! The food us amazing, but if I place an order and you tell me 10 mins and I come in 15 mins later and the order wasnt even placed thats a problem.

Nice Latino Super Market and Great Bakery

Experienced the taqueria tucked into the corner of this unassuming market...clean, bright...got the carne asada & al pastor taco dinner. The meats were nicely seasoned, generous! Awesome salsa verde. My refried beans were cold & the guacamole I ordered had tomatoes in it (a personal pet peeve) but all in all, a nice lunch, quickly served.

My family and I havent been to Rockford for long, but the few times (because they were counted) that we came to the Esquinita de Oro it was super dirty and very disorganized. When we heard that it had changed owners, we wanted to try to go again and we were really surprised at how it had changed. The shelves are always full, the meat that we have not bought yet but we always hear that it is very tasty! The sauces they sell are very spicy. And the product is always fresh! Best of all, the cashiers always greet me with a smile whenever I go. Very nice everyone! Very good job you have done !!

Looking forward for Caribbean cuisine to be incorporated soon into menu. Weekends offer dee jays mixing different types of Latin music. Some Saturdays its Musica Ranchera, Cumbia and similiar, other weekend nights they offer a refreshing mixture of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Reggaeton. The wait staff is pleasant and attentive. We always enjoy visiting the new restaurant!The Restaurant is open typically until midnight on the weekend and slightly earlier on weekdays.-------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------------This restaurant offers authentic Mexican food. Typical dishes, including fish, shrimp, meats ...... and there are also bananas! Natural waters, beers and Micheladas. Desserts like custards, three milks and more. Recently, I changed business to a Dominican who will introduce tropical foods later. On weekends they have a Dee Jay playing different kinds of music ... including typical Mexican music. They also play Cumbia and some nights they play Merengue, Salsa, Bachata and Reggaeton. Waitresses are always friendly. We always have a good time when we visit the golden corner.The restaurant is open until 12 a.m. and close a little earlier during the week.

Store disgust !!!! Just shop, I saw a cockroach in the butcher shop in the refrigerators where they give the meat to the disgusting clientele

Disgusted as a store, they dont know how to deal with the most rude cashier that nothing is seen that they have by force working there and hates their lousy customer service so they dont even want to buy anything at all 😠
