Once again, I have to learn the hard way with regard to hardware. After going to two home stores and another hardware store, I decided to go to Nicholsons. And once again I learned that I should have gone there in the first place. They had what I needed and I was out of the store in 10 minutes. They have just about everything hardware related.

Went to drop off a broken window. They had a five week back order delay. Stated they only have one guy doing the repairs. Might be time to change that? So I took it to Ability Glass. Otherwise I think Nicholsons has very good customer service and recommend them.

I ended up having to ask two people for assistance. Both were friendly and knowledgeable, getting me to what I needed. The cashier was quick and friendly. The prices werent too shabby either. Definitely a hardware store with going to again.

Great store for trade specific tools, I work in construction specifically commercial sheet metal/hvac . They sell all the tools you need to do your job. Could i get all my stuff online? Sure but i wouldnt get the service and be able to have it now! Its nice to know there are still people out there that care about the customer and are also knowledgable about what they sell. Ya dont get that at the big orange store or the green one either.

My husband was trying to replace a lamp switch for his 89 year old aunt. It was her favorite lamp and probably 40 years old. No place in town had the the 3 pole / 3 way switch needed. Not only that, even though he had the switch in his hand to show, 4 different places tried to sell him a switch that he knew would not work. He went to Nicholson’s which is a good distance away from where we live, and was immediately greeted by a worker. All he had to do was show the bad switch and the man walked him over directly to one and handed it to him and then proceeded to describe how the lamp works with one light coming on in the base, then both bulbs, then the top bulb and then it would go off. He then walked around the store and realized that they carried many many items for repair to things that a lot of people just throw away and replace.Nicholson’s employees know their inventory, are helpful and friendly and carry the things no one else around does. It’s a great place for the person who would rather repair things than just throw them away and spend the money to buy new at the big box stores.His aunt was thrilled to have her lamp back and working like new
