Was in a rental car on Sunday when I experienced a flat tire. I stopped by two other tire shops who were understaffed and couldnt even look at the tire to see if it could be plugged. At this VIP, the manager Brandon inspected the tire with me, looked at the big tear, and because he was already all booked up, dismounted and mounted the new tire on the rim. I ended up having to install the new tire on the rental myself in the lot, but Brandon made sure I could use a portable lift to make the job easy and fast. Great service in a pinch and keeping cool with business swarming around him!!

Big thanks to the Rockland VIP crew - they bent over backwards to get our brakes changed last minute after a scary moment on the highway. Brandon knew what a tough position we were in and was massively helpful - best auto shop customer service experience we’ve had for sure. We just returned from having 4 studded snow tires installed on the van and believe me it was a pleasure to find a tire dealer that did a great job. The entire installment was done in what I would call record time We watched some of the work they did and saw how each took interest in his individual job. After it was completed we were explained what was done. Joe answered our questions while they did a covid wipe down of the inside of our car on everything that had been touched, including the door handles. I would recommend anyone needing tires or other work performed to go there. Its not easy to find someone that treats you in this manner, especially with so many places we could have picked. The price was very reasonable and I will recommend VIP TIRES & SERVICE to my family and friends.

Brandon in Tires was a life-saver, he managed to help me fix an emergency blown tire on short notice.

Knowledgeable & friendly crew, but seems to be understaffed? Was told alignment would take a half hour. I think it was done in about 40 min (close enough), but I had to wait an additional 20 minutes before I could pay & check out, which was a bummer. All in all I would give them another try. Might have just been the day I was there. The tech was cool and took the time to go over my alignment results and explain it to me.

We picked up a nail in our truck tire on our way out for mothers day. Nate took us in, got it fixed in 20min, no problem. Thank you Nate and VIP! Such nice people and amazing service. You all saved mothers day!

These guys were great. They got me in for a state inspection the same day, took less time than they estimated, and were very knowledgeable about the issues they found. I would definitely recommend them. Ask for the manager Joe. He is really helpful and he knows what he’s talking about. And he has the patience to explain to customers things that most non-experts don’t know.

Joe and crew saved the day when we came in wanting a flat tire checked out right before closing time on Saturday. Ive taken our vehicles here pretty consistently for a number of years. The staff are generally really helpful, able to offer options and courteous. Love that you can get a coupon for your next oil change if you take your car there consistently. It can take a while to get your car even if you have an appointment. I would definitely recommend dropping it off if possible.

I called today at around 730. Explained that I had an emergency issue with my car. I just needed 1 brake pad and roter. I was told to bring the car in and that there where no appointments today so they could get it right in. Had my boyfriend drop the car off as I was at work. Called at 11. They said they were getting to it in 30 minutes and would call when it was done. Called again at 230. Same story. Called again at 4. Same story.. finally just went and picked the car up at 5. Because we were tired of being Jersey around. Dont lie to people. If you cant do it. Just say so.

I needed emergency brake work. I traveled from New Jersey, and I had no choice in order to return home safely.My hotel manager suggested VIP Auto. They promptly took care of my SUV. I spoke to Alex the day the car was brought in, and repairs were made.There was a defect in one of the parts, and something wasn’t quite right. The manager, Dustin, took my car immediately back in—nearly after business hours—to thoroughly check the brake work and replace or readjust anything.Thank you for excellent service!

Had a flat tire while on vacation in Maine and the tire was not salvageable. Joe and Alex at VIP Tire in Rockland, ordered tires for me and had them mounted in 45 minutes. Also did an alignment. All work was superb. While I was waiting I couldn’t help but overhear phone conversations with customers and discussions between the two on jobs they had done and some that were underway. It gave me confidence that they are real professionals. I very highly recommend Joe, Alex and VIP Tire in Rockland, Maine.

Purchased 4 new tires. Asked for an alignment and told them I had a bad tire pressure monitor. Dropped my truck off at 4:30pm said I would be back at 3pm the next day. Called at 2:50 to see if it was ready. It was on the lift. Got there to pick it up at 4:30. Joe said they got the tires on but didnt have time to do an alignment check. Brand new tires with a bad wear pattern on the old tires and they didnt have time to do an alignment check that is supposedly free with new tires? Truck back in the shop. Alignment corrected now 25 hours after drop off. Then asked if the TPMS was replaced, he didnt know what I was talking about. It literally flashes at you when you are in the truck and I told them this at drop off! Do they not look to see this? Does VIP, the people you pay to replace tires, not look at the one dash light dedicated to tires? Truck back in the shop. TPMS replaced. They did this for free at least -thank you. About as unimpressive as it gets for tire replacement.

I came in for an appointment to have my oil changed and to fix dim headlights. They were able to quickly fix my headlight problem by replacing the bulbs. All done in a reasonable time. Staff very friendly and my car was taken into the shop soon after I arrived. Very pleased with the service.

Great experience at the Rockland location. We took both of our cars there for state inspections. Work was efficient and timely. I decided to wait in the lounge while the work was being done. My internet/WiFi wasn’t working so Alex (I believe a store manager) turned his cell phone into a ‘hot spot’ for me and left it next to me so I could use my phone while I waited. Great customer service. Will only bring our cars here from now on!

Had a great experience at VIP in Rockland recently. I called to make an appointment for an oil change on Friday and scheduled for Monday. When I had to change my appointment the same day, no questions were asked, they just politely said it wasnt any problem and said they had an opening for the following day. I arrived and was in and out within an hour. They are very easy to work with and I highly recommend them.

I was researching buying a new set of all season radial tires. Ken was extremely helpful and informed. The day my new tires were installed I found that manager, Joe Whiting, was right on top of everything. The whole process went very smoothly. Joe spent a lot of time explaining the various warranties and rebates to me. He even took me out into the service bay to look at the underside of my car. I appreciated all the information and good service.

VIP has some pretty great service as well as a clean room. They are pretty friendly here and can help you get anything you need. Worth checking it out for a auto supply store. Prices are reasonable, tend to lean towards the higher side but that is okay.

We were tourists traveling through and had a tire go bad on our rental car. Joe was awesome. He got us in and out quickly and for a fair price. Its good to know there are businesses you can find on the road that wont take advantage of you.

Friendly and efficient staff. I went in for an inspection sticker and they trouble shot a variety of issues with my vehicle. They offered to let me see the work being done so that I could learn to do it in the future on my own. The shop was busy, and they did forget to patch one of my tires that was leaking. Let me begin to tell you how grateful we are to Manager Joe Whiting and technician Aaron for helping us get home from vacationing in Maine last week.Our dilemma began with an overheated car. We stopped into VIP Tires and Service to get some advise and antifreeze. Joe recommended bringing in our 12 year old Odyssey for an evaluation before driving it5 hours home.He squeezed us into a busy Saturday schedule to find out we had a leak in the radiator. A new radiator was installed .Aaron was informative and spent time showing us the cause and effect of the leak. Aaron also pointed out that our A/C compressor was leaking too. He suggested that we address this when we got home. THANK YOU for your observations and technical support Aaron. I was in for an oil change and windshield wiper repair on a Saturday afternoon and service was prompt and pleasant as always. Despite the fact that the shop was very busy, my car was serviced quickly. I thought I needed an expensive repair to my windshield wipers but the technician showed me that all I needed was new wiper blades. I continue to be pleased with the service at VIP

VIP in Rockland does a nice job. Professional staff, they work to keep you informed of what’s going on, and keep your costs down. Nice folks. I had a blown transmission on an older car (an out of production part) and in half and hour, they had a line on a transmission in NH with a quote worked up. I ended up getting a new car, but it was great to have info to wrap my head around the problem and mull my options. Great service.

We were in to purchase new snow tires and to have them mounted and balanced along with an all-wheel alignment. The staff were competent, pleasant, and courteous as always. Service took a little longer than usual but otherwise no complaints. A more comfortable waiting area would be greatly appreciated for days when the service takes a few hours!

Brought my Mazda in for a rear bearing replacement on a Saturday. While riding home with my husband, his alternator went, so we turned around and went back to Rockland. Joe and his staff were able to squeeze us into a full schedule and got the alternator replaced right away. Meanwhile Joe was scrambling to find a bearing somewhere in Maine for us. These guys are great and bent over backward for us. Will definitely continue using them in the future!

While visiting family in Rockland my truck broke down. I did not know where to take my truck VIP was recommend to me by a relative. Both John and Joe were amazing. Brought my car in for a routine inspection and was told it needed numerous things done for a sticker, made an appointment for it to be repaired and then my husband offered to do the work and they refused to sell the parts unless they did the work. Maybe VIP has changed over the years but we have bought MANY parts there over the years....tires as well. The manager not only was yelling over me when I asked if I could buy the part he was being extremely rude! What a way to treat customers! They take advantage of women...beware! Because some of the things he told me needed repair my husband had just done a few months ago. They definitely lost a customer for life not to mention I will never recommend them to anyone!

VIP in Rockland great and polite aswell as knowledgeable staff. They were able to get me right in for an inspection sticker. They also got the inspection done in a timely manner. Ive also gotten tires from them and the price was good. Had a flat and they took care of the tire as soon as possible so I would not be without a vehicle. They also were respectful and made sure to wipe any surface they touched in my vehicle with a dissenfectant wipe.
