Maines marine store carries a full line of recreational and commercial boat parts, paints, hardware, electricals,and electronics. Prices are sometimes refreshingly modest, as this home grown store serves Mainers with fewer discretionary dollars to spend than folks in major suburbs. Their salespeople are friendly and helpful.

Looked around for hatches. Priced items for our sailboat. I feel prices are for upper money people. Not us.

You dont have to beat fisherman to find useful items at this store in Rockland. Good gear, great waterproof boots and there is no more durable laundry basket than the traditional orange bait basket.

I went to Hamilton to purchase a new VHF radio. It was not busy - in fact almost deserted. No one cared to even spend a minute to ask if they could help. After 20 minutes I left the store (Searsport) and drove home. Purchased the radio I was looking for through Amazon for $2.00 MORE than the Hamilton advertised price but at least I was able to get it. Sorry Hamilton- VERY DISAPPOINTING experience.

Unfortunately this is the only marine supply in the area, but I would still recommend ordering online if you know exactly what you need. They have really high prices.

These folk are super hospitable. Plenty of parking.

Pros: Helpful staff, virtually anything you could need for boating or water related activities, repair items, lots of paints/finishes for wood/metal/fiberglass.Cons: Even though they have multiple stores, theyre not some giant chain store, so Ill give ya one guess.....$$$.
