Nice guy and an amazing selection of trains and scenery. Worth checking out his shop
Fixed my ho csx loco quick and cheap. Would definitely recommend. He diagnosed the problem in about 4 minutes. Fix took about 2 mins. He even greased up the gears for me! and it only was 10$ to repair. I would recommend.
Friendly man. Had just about everything I was looking for. Good conversation as well. Ill be going back soon when I need too.
Good selection only new stuff a bit pricy but he had some items was looking for so that in it self made it worth the trip also some good conversation
Bill is a really cool guy know way too much about train which is really cool
Wow! I haven’t seen a train shop like this before! Pretty old school. There was an older gentleman there, I assume he was the owner. He was very nice and had tons of knowledge about trains. I told him I wasn’t familiar with trains as I was more into model cars. He showed me the model and diescast cars he had and gave me a mini lesson on trains. This place has everything you’ll ever need to make any scale train layout. He has so many supplies to make a detailed train layout and if he doesn’t have what you want he can order anything you need. It’s a rarity to see a place like this nowadays. It was really cool to see his store.
I recently walked in looking for some lights and wasn’t sure what I should get. I’m assuming it was Bill the owner saw my kids and I walk in. After seeing us he walked behind the counter and continued to talk on the phone. Not once did he get up to see if we need anything. I guess he makes so much he can pick and choose his customers. I’m definitely not going back.
This is an amazing model train shop! Bill has everything one could need, including all the major manufactures like Kato, Athern, Walthers, Woodland Scenic, and Kadee. He takes the time to understand your project, brainstorm how to make your vision a reality, and show you how to use products for the best possible results. He’ll even help you make the most of your budget. A year and half ago I returned to the hobby after a twenty-year break. On most weekends these days, I venture to Bill’s where he’ll teach me a lesson on a particular technique, sometimes adding tips on collecting, the history of the hobby, or facts about railroading in general. He and I have literally chatted for hours, not to mention the conversation I’ve had with other modelers he’s kind enough to connect me to, so I now feel part of a hobby community. He is a fountain of knowledge and was with me every step of the way during my custom Polar Express freight train build. I’ve ventured to shows and club sales, they’re nice to browse, but I keep coming back to Bill’s to buy as his knowledge and commitment to offering quality products is unmatched. He stands by what he sells, and his prices are great! He has something for everyone, new, collectors’ items, kits, ready to run, sets, and well-loved pieces ripe for new paint and decals. And if on the rare chance he doesn’t have that exact part you are looking for to match a prototype, he’ll know what manufacturer has the part and order it for you. Don’t go elsewhere, skip online big box stores, come to Bill’s!
Mens therapy! lol. Bill can be a tad salty but is a great guy too. I like him. Great selection of models and nice place to drop in to buy some stuff as well as chit chat.Long live Brick and Mortar Hobby Shops!

Ive know Bill for many years is a very kind person and is always there for the rail fan community I bought my first ever Lionel Thomas The Tank Engine from him in 1998 when his shop was in Randolph by the Commuter Rail on the Randolph/Holbrook line and it will be a sad day when his shop is gone but im glad he is still sticking around and if ever needed anything he can always count on me to lend him a hand :) keep up the good work Bill
Alot of positive comments about bills shop help keep him available for us purchase from his store online shopping might be cheaper but you cant beat the quality of a privately owned shoo
