I can always find what Im looking for.Quality merchandise.
First Bass Pro Shop I have ever been too. I have always wanted to go to one and this his the first one I have ever been to and to say the least I was impressed. They have everything you could ever want when it comes to outdoor activities. Camping, fishing, hunting you name it they have it. Nice helpful staff with a huge selection of everything outdoors.
I visited the store today to purchase some electronic earmuffs. I was in a rut trying to decide which pair to purchase. I walked up to the firearms counter and was immediately greeted by James. He recommended these earmuffs and answered several questions for me. He was professional and very knowledgeable. I will be returning solely based on his help. Cant wait to try them tomorrow!UPDATE: its 5/2019 they still work!!
Ive been ordering online and shipping to the store to avoid shipping charges. Works great for ordering smokeless powder to avoid the hazardous shipping fee. They always have my order ready once I get the email for pick up. This has been great during the Great Ammo Shortage of 2020. I can get things from across their supply line delivered here for free. Great service.
Went to look at a 22 handgun for my son. Yes I know the laws. The gun will be registered to me yes, I know what documents I need. My son and I were there to see what fit him best. The guy at the counter asked if we needed help, I told him we were looking for a 22 handgun for my son and the first words out of his mouth was well your buying yourself a gun. I do not need a lesson in semantics. Maybe try what a good father for teaching gun safety and use to a child at a young age. (My son is 11 and has been shooting for a while.) Well one guy cost your business my business.
Busy lines for gun counter, be prepared!
Great selection of boating and fishing gear.Friendly staff.
Really neat place to spend a little time with the family even if you are not going to buy anything. There is a cool man made stream right out front with a bunch of fish in it, as well as the requisite giant fish tank in the store. The kids really dig it. They have everything you need to create an outdoor adventure and even a few things to make your home look more outdoorsy. The associates are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The prices seem slightly higher than what you would spend at other sporting goods stores but they really do have a good variety of everything.
First off, let me say that if you have not been to this place you need to just go. It is an experience just walking around this place and gets even better around the holiday time. I don’t buy much here but go with the kids for them to check out all the fun stuff, including the indoor fish tank.
An outstanding example of how a outdoor sports store is supposed to be, in my opinion. Not only is every Department decoratively displayed with an outdoor nature like setting but also each department staff is specifically trained to answer any questions you may have, on any related subject of that department. I tested Department after Department, I came up with various questions are the various products trying to stump the staff to the best of my ability. I was pleasantly surprised with their professionalism and knowledge. Here at Bass Pro shops, there are also offered various classes and educational seminars on just about everything from how to properly tie a hook when fishing, to boat safety, whether you own a water vessel or not, Bass Pro Shops training is outstanding and down to earth. The prices are reasonable considering the location and the amount financing which would have gone into decorating a store of this magnitude.
Im sad to give such a cool store such a poor review, but their customer service, both times Ive gone there, and across multiple departments, is HORRIBLE. Not just incompetent, but RUDE.The front door greeter yelled at me. One of the archery employees told me to go ask another archery employee to help me instead of helping me himself. That other employee literally locked himself in the archery range with a female customer (legitimately teaching her about archery) - though for twenty minutes. He was upset when I knocked on the door for help and lied that they did not have the model I was looking for to get me to go away. I pointed to the unmistakably recognizable model and asked, Isnt that it? He made some embarrassed comment and shut the door on me.I went looking for a manager to help, found three off them, and one didnt see me but two did, then turned their backs to me and then ended their huddle and left me standing behind them waiting patiently... I never did get help which is too bad because I was really interested in that bow.Cool store though and awesome products. Beautiful decor. Worth a trip just to walk around, just dont expect help.
Good outdoor store. Have a pretty good stock on hand except for reloading supplies and ammo. Prices are fairly competitive but you can usually find it for less if you want to put in the effort.
This place is amazing! They have a huge waterfall as soon as you enter the building! I love going here they have everything you need for anything out doors! Super friendly people, great service, and great prices! This place is very clean and well managed and they do festive holiday activities for the kids which i love! Perfect for the whole family to visit for shopping or just for fun to see everything! :)
This is a fun store with so much more than just firearms and camping gear, I like it here! Not to mention, great customer service.
Really neat store the place is massive. Lots of cool decor. The large fish tank is fun to watch. Great selection of outdoor gear and wear. Friendly helpful staff. Always fun to shop here
This place is awesome, only complaint would be high prices. Pretty much everything in here can be bought some where different for much cheaper. However all of it in one place is cool, Ive been here 20 times buy have only spent maybe $50 on fishing bait.
Its a fishing and outdoors shop, you can find a variety of merchandise for somewhat reasonably comparable prices to other sports or recreation stores. Theres a huge aquarium and other fun things to look at for the kids. I was here at Christmas time and there was a Santa and all sorts of family activities. Great place for the whole family.
Huge selection but high prices, they are severely understaffed at the gun counter, so much so that I refuse to go there for any firearm purchase. If you do go there to purchase or even look at a firearm you might be interested in, you had better be ready to spend a good amount of your time there ( 1-3 hours ) and most of that time is just standing there waiting for your number to be called and good luck if in that time you have to use the restroom and they happen to call your number while your gone for 5 minutes. Ammo prices are high as well.
Wednesday before thanksgiving picked up 5 boxes of 22 shells on the deal. The ad read 8am on Thanksgiving and never said they were open at 9 but assuming 8 we waited till 9 for opening. The gun counter had 25 people ahead of me because i picked up shells early. On Thanksgiving went back at 8 and went right to counter. Got the last of the REM 870 deal. Counter was super friendly but the day before they had been slammed. Pretty sure they sold out of everything on special. California must be loving all of these guns in the state. Wahoooooo! Nothing but appreciation to live 5 minutes from a great regional store. Thanks BPS!
Awesome interior. Tons of choices for outdoor enthusiasts. Excellent staff. While some of their prices are higher than some stores their price match guarantee ensures you wont pay more. If you dont ask you wont receive. I got a gun at BP for $225 less than listed. Just ask people.
Love to see my husbands eyes light up when we shop there
Always love my visit!! Purchased some great shirts again! Looked at all the RV vehicles! Just awesome fun going there. Friendly help!
Its a beautiful store in an easily accessable location. Their prices a bit high, and they rarely have what Im looking for. I still go check because I like how nice the store is, and the quality of customer service - but always have a backup store in mind for whatever Im shopping for.
This place was bigger than we expected. Kids met Santa which was awesome, and had fun looking at all the cool stuff. Plus, its a cool store with loads of options for hunters, fishermen, or outdoorsy types in the family.
Mesa, AZ Bass Pro 10x better and bigger. This place is still great and love shopping here. I personally have no need for associates as I know way more than they seem to know when it comes to different products. I usually ask if they have anymore of a certain product or can I try out an item. Other than that I dont listen to what they say when comes to teaching me about a product because 9 out of 10 they have no clue what they are talking about. This has been my experience everywhere for the most part. Unless you get an oltimer than they usually know their stuff. Still love the place and glad its close.
TL;DR: Store lied, wouldnt honor the lie, then an employee grabbed paperwork out of my hand...Story: I called the corporate customer service number today to ask about their story policies on competitor price matching, and was told that each store handles that policy on their own. I called the store (Rocklin location) and asked if they price-matched, and was told they did. I explained the details (mailed ad in hand from a local brick-and-mortar store), and was told yeah, no problem so I drove ~20 miles to the store with all the necessary paperwork to purchase a firearm.River City Gun Exchange in Sacramento is selling the gun for ~$100 less, so this was the price-match. We get to the counter at the Rocklin Bass Pro today, and after my wife fills out some paperwork with personal information, and the employees behind the counter take copies of her license, vehicle registration, and FSC card, were told that the store manager would not honor the price match. I asked if he was serious, and the guy behind the counter said yes. I picked up the paperwork off the counter (the personal information paperwork) to take it with me, and the kid behind the counter grabbed it out of my hand and said that I cannot have it. He told me that they have to shred the papers, so I said I would watch; then I was told I cannot go in the back and watch.I know the lack of my future purchases will not hurt this stores profit margins, and honestly they could probably care less that I am not going to shop at Bass Pro or Cabelas anymore, but I will spend my money at other stores that actually have decent customer service, and honor their obligations to their customers.
Love this place. The staff are awesome and very helpful, especially over at firearms section. Great selection through out the whole store for any type of gear.
Lots of products, big store thats very pleasant to explore. Prices are average. Staff is nice
Staff is incompetent when it comes to new California Ammo Background laws. Refused ammo when presented all verifiable legal documents showing residency and Identification pursuant to DOJ requirements. Dont do business with people who infringe 2nd Amendment Rights. Bought a firearm here a few months ago with same documents and even then it was a hassle dealing with the rush you attitude staff and incompetency.Do business at Sportsmans where they price match and give you an extra %5 off against Bass Pro. Bass Pro also has a store policy of making you wait 11 days instead of 10 required for new firearm purchases. Will never do business here or Cabelas again!
Pretty nice place to train dogs, lots of room and distractions. We did encounter a woman worker yell in a high pitch voice “AWWW” across the aisle which startled my gsd. Although this is a great opportunity to train with my dog, she was also disrespectful for that and started talking to my dog after I told her she’s training, do not distract. My point is, you should NOT ever encounter a dog like that, what if that was a service dog which she could’ve distracted it and the dog could’ve missed a medical alert, what if a dog got scared and charged at her (although you shouldn’t bring a dog like that in a store). There many other things that could’ve happened.
My experience with Bass Pro Shop is not that good. If youre looking to buy a boat from Bass Pro Shop please go elsewhere. I purchased my boat about 3 months ago I had a problem with the bid, they giving me the wrong one and overcharging me. Had to drive 40 something miles to Bass Pro Shop to find out they overcharged me for the bid I have. Also when you purchase a brand new Tracker boat tracker offers a $500 gift card I still havent received that every time I call them I always get an answer machine so everything about Bass Pro Shop with the boats is a piece of s***. This is a real-life experiment so if youre buying a boat I recommend you DO NOT BUY ONE FROM Bass Pro Shop.
Great store to supply your outdoor adventures. Lots of hunting, boating, fishing and camping gear and clothing. The interior is and amazing adventure for adults and kids.
Fun place to visit. Great atmosphere. Huge selection. Nice to see a business focus on hunting, shooting, and fishing especially here in California.
During Christmas Season, Bass Pro Shop offers a Santa Meet and Great for amazing prices! A lot more affordable than your typical mall Santa. Can you say free?!
Helpful staff, great prices and just a huge, fun store to explore and shop! Im really glad they let you bring in well mannered pets, because I didnt want to leave my dog and parrot out in the heat when I stopped here during a road trip.
Fri october 4th 2019 10:30am. Very rude cashier.....asked where the restroom is at? and the lady was acting like i owed her million $, ....does this lady knows how much money i spent at this store already?? I dont think so..... I dont want to give her name out cuz i can easily make her fired but i wish no evil to other people....other times when i bought supplies from this store ---most of the times cashiers were not nice to me as they were to others- just cuz i have an accent...please treat other races equally, dont be so biased i spend same $ and even more than most of the visitors here. Thank you
Dont waste your time or your money. This Bass Pro Shop is very small and has a limited selection of clothing and camping gear. In addition, clothing prices are simply confiscatory. For example, I was looking for a Columbia Turbodown jacket. This store had the jacket for $150. I found it elsewhere for $113. Thats a big difference in price for exactly the same jacket. Store brands are less expensive, but also are low-quality. For example, store brand tee shirts are made of poor quality, rough cotton, and the fleeces were also of low-quality polyester.I saw another reviewer saying people just want to complain. Well, yes, when the complaints are justified. Other Bass Pro Shops have a much bigger selection and generally have at least a few items on sale. When I visited, no womens clothing was on sale at all. It was very disappointing.
Large store, offers outdoor products at great prices. Once you look up and see the displays you wont look down for five minutes. Check out the fish tank with the kids, forget going to the movies, enjoy yourself.
One of the best places to shop if youre into that stuff. If youre not head east towards Reno. There is a lot of good Taxidermy stuff and lots of good guns
Huge place with massive selection of items. Id give five stars for decoration but only two stars for prices. You definitely pay to shop here.
This big boy toy store will keep you entertained. Be prepared to spend time and enjoy the ride.
Extremely horrible customer service. sales people are rude, wait is long at the gun counter and they rarely even know what theyre talking about. Most importantly, everything is extremely over priced. If you need to buy a gun, I would recommend a local gun shop. If you need sporting goods, I would recommend Sportsmans Warehouse if you cant find what you need at Big 5, Dicks, etc.
Amazing store for outdoor supplies: camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, (lake) boating. Even if you dont do any of those things, this place is worth visiting just to see the sheer spectacle of it.
Gun counter left me standing. Gary didnt help. Pick a number he said after I already had a sales person help me. Waited 20 minutes, after seeing 3 other sales people help 5 customers who walked up to the counter - without picking a number - even after I suggested they should help the first customer…me. No assistance. Walked away. Went to front counter asked to speak to a manager…none available. I made my purchase at Sportsmans Warehouse, where I bought my guns, plural. What does customer service mean to you? Apparently nothing…dont need business? Please include that in your advertising thank-you & save others a trip!
Love this place and service is fantastic and fun to enjoy.
It wont let me give anything less than 1 star. They must have hired or was trained by Wild Sports employees. It feels so good to have money to buy a weapon and just get ignored. I will never shop there again.
Huge selection of just about every outdoor sport you could think of. Prices are a little high but the experience is worth it. They even have a boat showroom. Love this place like a kid in a candy shop.
Fun store to visit, although this is one of the smallest in operation. Huge inventory of products. Rarely find good deals though so expect to pay full price.
I love to look at the boats, maybe someday I will be able to afford one. Its nice you can climb in them and check them out.
This place would get 5 stars for the decor alone. However, the number of brands that are stocked here is quite minimal. While they do stock a little bit of everything for any sort of outdoor activity, its a little nerve-wracking to have to make a choice to the small selection of brands that they sell. It does seem that they stock the cheaper brands.
Wal-Mart of sporting goods. No one knows anything, nor where to find anything. But at least when youre just looking at things, NONE of the staff will acknowledge your existence, much less ask if you need help finding anything. Also, be prepared to wait for about 15 minutes behind the store alone, when picking up large items that you purchased. No one that works in Customer Pick-up has keys to the door, and the one guy that does is hard to find (hides from people).
What a cool store! The shops are decorated appropriately to their environment, love going to a new Bass Pro.
Great for everything outdoors! Only major complaint is in the gun department almost everything is actually marked up over full retail! Hard to spend extra gouging money on items that can be bought 30% less on sites like Amazon....Why do they do this? Not sure but big store!
This is an awesome place to go and check out and then go buy what you needed somewhere else. The store is really cool and they do have good sales sometimes but their regular prices are way high. I needed an oil filter for my boat and the exact same filter, brand and everything was $16 at bass pro and $4.95 at Wal-Mart next door. I also was looking for a rod holder for my boat, $24.95 at bass pro, $18.95 next door at Wal-Mart. I guess somebody has to pay for all the stuffed animals and aquarium.
Bass Pro Shop has all you need for fishing! Love it. Live vests are affordable, as is most everything in the store.
Great service and a variety of selections and activities for the whole family. They are also good about returning items you may not be happy with as long as your reasonable as well.
Thanks for being the place to buy my husband a gift that I know hes going to love.
This place is like a theme park. Beautiful and epic inside with a giant fish tank with river fishes. Its got everything you could imaging for outdoor sporting goods.
Im not from Sacramento, and drove 200 miles motivated to buy a boat, when I arrived the place was beautiful, i went inside and ask someone to help me for a lure that I couldnt find, he said let me check the back, and never came back. When I looked at the boats, i asked for help and the guy just seemed like he was not interested in helping and complained he made 10 dollars an hour and did not make commission and said he did care if I bought a boat or not. I get better service at cabellas and everyone their is happy. Basspro really turned me off when you have bad customer service, i went to another boat dealer.
Pretty typical bass pro store, just very surprised with how an employee treated my girlfriend when it came to her trying to shop for her first gun, the gentleman kept suggesting pink or more feminine styled guns in the cases
Fantastic store! First time going and i found the staff to be prompt and not hard to find and get help. Very satisfied...
Big and wild. Very fun just to look around. Surprisingly reasonable prices can be found here.
Every outdoorsman favorite store. This place is huge!! They have anything and everything. This is the place where you go to get one thing and leave with a bunch of stuff you dont even need. They have guns, ammo, camo, kids clothes, boots, boat supplys, actual boats, and of course a mass supply of fishing supplies and gear. Awesome store.
Went here for the first time a few weeks back... I was absolutely amazed.. Everything outdoors and more. All terrain vehicles, boats, and even camouflage baby clothes!
Employee behind the gun counter was a little rude to us. Ill go to Sportsmans Warehouse instead. Theyre less expensive too.
This is a great place to buy suveniors and outdoor supplies. Even if you dont want to buy anything its a great place to just look around. They have s huge fish tank with local fish and a lot of other displays.
So much to see and do. Its more than just a place to buy gear. Very family friendly.
Nice selection on hand to check out. Great boats for the price.
To everyone that has a problem with the location.... dont go! Its not as big as some of the BPSS Ive been to but there is more than enough product to satisfy 99% of the population!
I went when they fist open. I know nothing about fishing i.e. what to buy that kinda of thing. They had a pro fisherman their who noticed I was lost on what kind of pole and reel to buy and he took his time to show me the difference between poles and the difference between a bate caster and a spinning reel and even got me set up on some hook and worms too. He spent about an hour with me going over different options. Even they where Hella busy. Sure they may be a bit higher on price but their customer service is far better then sportsmans warehouse by far. I went their to buy my sons pole and got no help what so ever . I dont mind paying a little more for stuff if they show me and explain to me why I need what I need to catch fish. This is my new favorite place to get everything I need because I can ask if what I have will work for what I need it for. Bass pro shop keep up the good customer service please thank you...... forever a customer Dave
Beautiful store. Huge selection. Even if youre not into hunting and fishing, check it out! The employees couldnt be friendlier!
I was treated horribly when looking at their gun selection. Was interested in buying a pistol for my girlfriend and not only did the guy make us feel unwanted, but he managed to be a smart ass the whole time! Bass pro used to be my go to, but after this i dont think i will be going back for a while
The three stars are not for service. product only.I have spent over 2k with them and my only problem is with service I started with a 15 old town discovery sport @ $1400 after waiting beyond the allotted time they gave me name of the shipper so I called and found that it had been there for a week because they said cabelas had not given them a phone#.The second was with another item that was all put together in a beautiful product display, so I purchased it. All I got were two pieces not as it was represented in the picture the customer service agent wrang me out for not reading the fine print, I hope you dont have kids Clifford. so I quit them I going to bass pro tomorrow.
Very poor gun sales service, they dont understand DOJ rules. What took 3+ hrs and 4 trips and still no sale... took 30 min each trip and got my gun for same price with way less waiting at the local Big 5. Good store overall, will NEVER buy a firearm here.
It was interesting. We were there for Santa. It seemed like a great place.
Good store with a great selection, appears to be quite a bit smaller than other ones Ive been to
The people great make feel home around there shopping. So great
Neat store. Im not the camping/outdoorsy type. The kids loved the fish display.
Great firearms training and need a refresher now. I am glad its free for refresher
Very nice environment and very clean. Good place to go for outdoors items.
If youve never been here, its HUGE. Along the same lines as Cabelas or Scheels. They have a good selection on a wide variety of outdoor and sporting goods items. Prices seem reasonable and staff was helpful and friendly.
The prices are absurd for a big box store. Norcal gun vault is cheaper. Sportsmans warehouse is way cheaper. That goes for gear, ammo, guns, bows, knives. This place is charging at least full MSRP on everything. I give 2 stars just cause its a cool store.
Staff was real friendly and had a great selection to all My fishing gear needs.
Theres so much cool stuff here. Im not even an outdoorsy person but I really like going and walking around here.
Good selection and great service I go there for their archery department where Rob and his co workers provide the best service thank you for saving deer season.
Great place to shop but the people who work there suck, they seem to think that they are better than you are.
THIS HAS TO BE THE BEST PLACE FOR SPORTING GOODS. WHAT A GREAT TIME, SUPER.
Talk my kids here just too look around. They love the place
Great spot to score clearance priced clothes for bigger guys. The fish tanks feeding is pretty cool for the kiddos.
Its Bass Pro Shops. Its more than a boat center. Go there for all of your outdoor adventure needs.
The salesmen dont know what they are doing, they sold me a motor that i didnt want and then wanted to charge me extra to get the one i wabted tp get in the first place. Then because they f**ked my order up i had to wait a month for the motor to come in and now theu wont answer my calls, terrible customer service.
Best outdoor store period in the Sacramento-Roseville-Rocklin areas!
