I took my car in today because my tire was efficiently low in air and I couldn’t drive my car safely. I took my car in and informed them to check my tire, they were able to find a nail in my tire not only in one tire but in all three! I truly trust their service, Martin the owner is very knowledgeable about cars and treats all his clients very well! I definitely will return for service they also fixed my car charger which had been out for months so quickly!Once again I repeat if you are looking for service please do not hesitate to take your car here! They took my car in immediately did a diagnostic and redid my brake work under their warranty. The problem was resolved so quickly and the owner, Martin is so responsive and personable. They stand by their work and are incredibly honest. The prices are reasonable and as a woman going into the shop I never feel taken advantage of money wise or talked down to. I prefer the Southlawn location but we have also taken my partners car to the second location at Parklawn and were equally happy with the work done. I cant recommend this shop highly enough.

Great work for a great price on my Honda Civic. I moved out of town and still bring it all the way here because it’s hard to find a good place you can trust. Had sensors and canister replaced and whole muffler system redone. Would recommend to anyone.

Great experience here. I called on a Saturday to find out about replacing a front wheel bearing and they were able to give me a quote over the phone. Id had the other wheel bearing replaced a few years ago and the Hyundai dealership charged more than $400. Rockville Auto Repair quoted me $285. I was able to get an appointment for later that week. When I took my car in I told them I would just wait for the work to be done since I didnt have a ride. The owner(?) graciously offered to drive me over to Rockville town center so I could grab a bite to eat while I waited. When he came back to pick me up he came in my car. The grinding noise that had been stressing me out every time I drove the car was gone - such a relief! There were no surprises when it came time to pay - I paid what theyd quoted. Excellent service, I would definitely come back here.

I called to get pricing for an oil change and appointment availability since time was a sensitive matter for me. Not only did they scheduled the appointment the same day but their pricing was by far the best. They do a good job but MOST important is that you can trust them regarding what services are needed. They dont do the typical upsale for unnecessary repairs to get more money from you. Called Martin today about three warning lights that were lit on my dashboard. He told me he could take a look at the problem immediately. You should go out of your way to have your car serviced or repaired here. Martin is one of the nicest people you will meet and his disposition can be seen in the way his employees work and treat customers and the way his customers are happy to see him. He took the time to diagnose my issues and even charge less than he would normally. He thoroughly inspected my car to give me a list of issues that needed to be fixed. Because I live many hours away from Rockville, I could not leave my car overnight to be repaired. He was happy to discuss which repairs I could do myself and which I would probably need to bring to mechanic. Understand he had not financial incentive to instruct me to bring my vehicle to a mechanic. I hope you never have any major issues with your vehicle but if you do or need standard maintenance done, please see the crew at Rockville Auto Repair.

Excellent customer service, and quick turn-around. I know very little about cars, but was so impressed with Martin. He explained everything about my cars diagnostics very simply and fully, and I felt like I was getting an honest opinion from someone who knew what he was talking about. So I have a Volvo and finding honest workers that actually know what there doing is a struggle but not anymore... these guys were so nice! Martin the owner was super friendly and very helpful with all my questions! The mechanic Johnny was awesome he literally showed me how to change my oil step by step and showed me under the car to better explain some of my concerns. I plan on going back for all other maintenance in the future.

This is a hidden gem in Rockville. They charge fair prices, give great service, and are always happy to help. A while back I needed a jump, Martin came out and didnt even charge me for it. This is my go to for all things auto.

My son and I were referred to Martin by an auto technician from another company. He whispered that Martin could find the part and fix our car. He was right! We are loyal customers now, and Martin is so very nice and friendly. He tries very hard to keep the costs down, and that is important to my family. We all take our cars and trucks to him.

I wanted to share my awful experience from this shop and the damage that was caused to my vehicle due to the negligence of their mechanic in hopes of saving someone from a similar experience.The transaction started ok. I wanted a clutch kit put into my 1992 Ford F-150 and my girlfriend was a regular customer of Martins shop and gave me a recommendation. The work was done promptly and they called me that it was ready for pickup. I came to pick it up, paid in full, and drove it straight to Frederick, MD, 28 miles away. When arriving into Frederick on the highway, I noticed that my stick shift had begun shaking violently and was very stiff and difficult to operate, so I pulled off and arranged a tow back to Martins shop. He claimed that he would honor his work and see what went wrong, but that hed need to call in a transmission specialist because he does not usually work on them. When the specialist inspected the transmission, he confirmed that it was completely shot and needed to be replaced, Martin quoted me a few thousand to replace it but did not mention how it went bad or why it happened so suddenly after being in his shop.Previously, I never had a slip or any trouble with my transmission whatsoever, I am always very ginger and easy on my shifting, and I never haul or tow anything more than a kayak. Manual transmissions generally have less problems and last longer, too. I know for a fact that the transmission in the truck had a lot of life left, and with my trust waivering, I decided to have a third party mechanic replace the transmission and diagnose what could have happened. It didnt take him long to discover a huge oversight from Martins shop.When dropping the bell housing to access the clutch and transmission, its common to drain all the transmission fluid to lighten its weight, to later ease in getting the shaft lined back up. When he went to drain it, there was less than half a pint left. Martins shop had returned my truck to me with an unlubricated transmission which caused it to critically fail over the short drive that followed. This is a mistake I would have never made so I cannot fathom how a professional mechanic could do this. It is difficult to check the transmission fluid in my truck because its done on a fill plug under the chassis, but I also dont understand how this wasnt troubleshot and covered under warranty when I had the truck towed back to him.I still have receipts for everything regarding this transaction and the third party mechanic confirmed the status of my transmission and that it resulted from this negligence. Martin did not reach back out to me or try to right what happened here, and its cost me over $2000 on top of what I paid him to do the clutch kit (the clutch is still working with the new transmission). Maybe this mechanic shop is good for getting a cheap price on an oil change or vehicle inspection, but please exercise extreme caution when having them perform any advanced mechanical repairs that may have a margin of error. I would not trust this shop to do another repair that could affect my safety or the condition of my vehicle.
