I was impressed as soon as I was greeted at the door. The shop was large, clean, and welcoming. I knew that this was the place to be. Chris was very knowledgeable and more than helpful. He spoke to me as a friend and I knew he had my best interest at heart. That is the way to run a business. Building relationships. This is the only store I will go to now. Highly recommend.

Miguel Salazar, the tech that changed my bicycle seat was very helpful and did an excellent job. I also received help from Jorge C. who helped by suggesting a product that would solve an issue I was having with putting my bike on my car rack. He even came out to the car to direct me on how to install and use the bar. I received great customer service from these these two gentleman.

Every experience Ive had with the Trek Rockville shop has been positive. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive -- even during busy periods. In particular, Miguel is a master repair pro -- always helpful, listening carefully, treating customers with respect and patience, solving problems, and going beyond the minimum requests with useful suggestions.

The rep seen in the pic was an absolute delight. She was very detailed, through and knew her stuff about the bikes. Tom was great on the initial purchase with helping us pick out accessories and things to look for with our first purchase..

My son asked me for a new bike at 15 he had grown out of his bike. We live in DC and well he wanted to bike to school. I started saving to make sure I bought him a good bike that could last him. He turned 16 and kept bringing in good grades made honor roll twice determined to get his bike. I finally gave in and with help from his aunt we purchased him an FX3. We were blessed to work with Chris Baker. He asked me for my needs, my budget, and took time to get to know my son. They followed such strict COVID guidelines I truly felt safe in the store. Chris explained my options and did all he could in his power to ensure we walked out with a bike and a smile on his face. This store should truly have 5 stars, because their customer service is the true definition of above and beyond. I dont regret one bit making the investment I did yesterday. Huge thanks to Miguel as well for putting a smile back on my sons face.

Went in to purchase 2 items, not one person willing to help. Found what I wanted and waited at register for 15 minutes before someone asked me if I was being helped, and then it seemed it was an effort to ring up my purchase. Ill never go there again.

Thanks Trek bikes for changing my life! I was curious about e-bikes. After researching them online I popped in to try a Trek Verve 2. I think I was 1/2 way through the test drive when I knew I had fallen in love again with biking! I was able to fly up hills and still get the exercise I need without the pain that would keep me from riding in the past!Tom, the person who helped answer my bajillion questions, was beyond patient and knowledgeable. I love my new bike and so do my pups! The photo is of my niece getting ready to do a spin around our neighborhood!

I stopped by in the late afternoon with my bicycle to see if they could adjust my front derailleur. They were able to adjust it right away while I waited and also gave me tips on how to keep all parts clean and in good adjustment. As I entered the store I was met by salesman Kevin who displayed professionalism and courtesy while I wandered through. He was there to answer all my questions and assisted with getting LOOK pedals for me to test ride the bike. The bike was a near perfect match and I bought it!!!

We’ve bought a few bikes from here and always buy our accessories at this Trek location. We came in when the store opened looking for a few accessories. The female employee who initially assisted us went to check on an item for me. When she came back out, she wandered around before telling me that they don’t have it and that I should just buy online. Decided to buy an item and wanted to see if they can order the other item I need and if it’s possible to order a bike, so we waited at the cashier/front desk to check out. No one ended up assisting us even though multiple employees looked at us. The same female employee finally came up to the cashier with another customer who needed to check out. She continued to ignore us and check out the customer she was with even though we were standing right in front of her. I interrupted her and told her we have been waiting to check out for some time now. She looked at us as if we were invisible this entire time. Decided not to purchase. Not a happy customer especially since we frequent this store.

I had, quite possibly, one of the best experiences at the store.No need to go into what happened prior to arriving - in regards to dealing with another store in the area, but the service and staff at the Rockville location were top notch!The manager, Chris (I hope I remember the name correctly) was instantly attentive and helpful in finding me a new pair of cycling shoes.I had a small amount of knowledge in regards to what I was looking for, and Chris was able to help informatively and with a positive attitude! He was able to recommend perfect shoes, and cleats; and he installed the cleats in the store, working 5 minutes!The female worker there at the time, 12:15 on 10/6/2020, was very nice as well - she helped me quickly exchange an incorrect size on a jacket for my father in law!!! I ordered a man hybrid bike last November, After 8 months yesterday they called me and said your bike is ready. when I was there they were trying to foist women bike on me. They thought I don’t know difference between men’s and women’s bike. When they saw I know what they are doing, they gave me dummy excuse. Be careful about them. I don’t trust them and canceled my order.

The mechanic I worked with, Ryan I think was his name, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helped me very quickly! This was my first time at this shop and I have already recommended it to many of my friends, I will definitely be coming back!

Trek Rockville was awesome to work with. I ordered a Trek Madone SL7 and Chris was extremely helpful with his thoughts and feedback between the bike options that I had. The new bike delivery was also great and Chris helped me fit my bike by installing my pedals, adjusting the seat (tilt and positioning), etc. I’ve purchased two bikes from Trek Rockville this year as well as other bike shops in the area this year, and the service I get from Trek Rockville is much better than others in the area. I would recommend Trek Rockville to others.

I came in for a few parts to repair my bike and I was helped by Ryan. I needed a super tiny piece and he was very diligent in his search. Apparently, there was only ONE in stock and he magically found it! He then brought to my attention there was some rust between my chain links which I had never noticed and suggested I replace it for safety reasons and smoother riding. He also took time to recommend some cycling gear & accessories and was exceptionally patient while answering my million questions as this my first road bike purchase and had no idea what I was doing. I was truly impressed with how extensive Ryans knowledge was about cycling and he even was nice enough to tell me where I could find some good online resources and tips for beginners. His customer service skills were above and beyond what I ever expected from a big brand name bike shop and I will definitely be returning to the store for any future bike repairs and supplies. My bike now rides smooth as silk and Im able to change gears without wrecking my wheels! Thanks for not making me feel like a total idiot newbie!

Best place to go!! During this pandemic it is good to know which stores care about your safety and this store does! They only let a certain number of customers in at a time for safety reasons but also so you get one on one help! I had a salesperson with me the entire time! It was fantastic! They were knowledgeable and very nice. I just bought a bike with them but will definitely go back for any accessories or additional questions I may have. I recommend checking out this place if you need help choosing a bike or in need of some merchandise!

I love the quality of the products and the friendliness of the staff...especially Chris! His eagerness to share his knowledge was crucial in helping me through some tough decisions. As a newbie Cyclist, I am grateful that he made my first experience an awesome one to remember.

They greeted me upon entering the store. There were social distancing processes in place to make me feel comfortable. The staff even brought my bike into the shop for service. They were very knowledgeable and helpful.

The store is laid out well, and had a lot of stock. The staff were courteous. Access was severely restricted, incredibly so. Instead of 50% occupancy, it seemed based on how many people the staff could accommodate 1-on-1. The wait time outside was over 40 minutes when I arrived at 3:30 Sunday. Be prepared to be in the elements these days.

Chris is knowledgeable, but is a transactional, controlling, gossipy kind of manager. Needs to really work on his empathy and being a leader rather than a manager.

Good safety protocols for COVID. saved the weekend for us. Promised the kids a bike ride and went to set the bikes up only to find my tires flat and I able to be reinflated. Brought the bike in and made it in the store in about 40 minutes as they we pretty busy. 2 Tires and tubes later we were ready to rock and roll. Whole thing took less than 15 minutes.

I was thinking a store this clean and organized couldnt possibly be interested in selling bicycles. Probably just a façade filled with beautiful things made from Unobtainium and vapid employees who are there to make you feel jealous of something youll never own.I couldnt have been more wrong. Ken and his team are not only courteous and respectful, but extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of bicycling. They understand the latest innovations and which ones are most beneficial to you. They will bend over backwards to find a bicycle thats right for you.Make no mistake, Trek is an upscale brand, yet, they offer a bike for nearly every budget. A special thank you to Dorothy, Kenny, Alex and Brian. Your knowledge is astonishing and was paramount in the selection of my Fuel EX 8. Keep up the good work!

I had a flat tire and went to the Trek store on a Saturday. They replaced the the inner tube. I went for a really short ride on Sunday. On Thursday I noticed that my tire was flat. I went back again this Saturday (one week later) and had them place my tube (I paid for the second tube). On my way home the tube popped. I went back the store and they replaced the tube in the store and that one popped. They then looked at the rim and the inside of the tire. They replaced the liner tape with a fourth tube and that one popped. After 5 tubes and two new liners the tire was fixed. They then charged me for the tube and the liner. The kicker is that the last tube was $15.00 and the other tubes were $9.00 (the had run our of the cheaper tubes). Only after I said something did they even offer to give me a discount on the higher priced tube. I am very dissatisfied with the level of customer service and the lack of taking any responsibility for any of the popped tubes. I will driving twice the distance then use this location again.

With very little that I knew about bikes (except for I want one), this place is great to know more and chose what you need. The sales assistant are super helpful and patient, there is all you need as minimum equipment right there. It was a very positive experience. Would strongly recommend.

They belittle and judge you. Went in to purchase bike for my wife and they didnt care or even bothered to really help because the assumed we couldnt afford anything from there. We got mostly sarcasm instead of actual help.

Excellent Service and selection. Ive visited there several times. Sales people are always very friendly and knowledgeable. We visited several bike shops looking for an electric bike. Hardly any had an in stock ebike appropriate for a short adult. Only Trek bike had a good fit at a reasonable price.

I paid $1,100 for a simple bike for my wife - anywhere else a bike with the same specs would cost $500, but I wanted the best for my wife, and paid another $500 more just for the name! The bike started making a horrifying noise after 3-4 months while it had less than 80 miles on it. Took back to the store, they kept it for more than a week to fix the issue. They did not fix it - the bike was making the same noise next day. I took it back for the second time - they kept it for about 10 days, and again did not fix it. I took it back to the store for the third time, and it has now been more than 2 weeks I am waiting to hear from them. The bike has already spent more than a month in the store - it feels like we have just lost that $1,100. What a disappointment. The people there are kind and nice but that does not help me at all. So frustrated. I had FUJI, DIAMONDBACK, GT, GIANT - I never had such issue with any of my bikes.I do not see reply option to respond to the owner, hence doin it here. I appreciate your response. I do not know what is a rotor and what was done on the bike and what is the problem - I believe I am not supposed to know all of this. I was just expecting this bike to ride without problems and I think this is not too much to expect. The problem on the bike started 5 months after I bought it, and after that the store tried to fix it 3 times. I hope you are not saying that after a year you are not responsible for the bike. I picked it up yesterday, today we did 20 miles, and no problems - another 20 miles without that horrible noise, and I delete this review. Thank you.

Trek Bicycle is a great store in service. I brought my bike there for repairing the peddle. George came out and provided me the best service. He fixed my bike issues, also explained me the root case. This is the first time I visited Trek and found out they have many high quality bike with very reasonable prices. Definitely will come back for my next bike. Thank you George for your great service

Stay away from this store! Staff are dishonest and they will rob you from Repairs, Parts or any equipment. I suggest to use other means of resources or find a more reputable shop or an independent mechanic for your needs.

I went to this store to pick up an item which was sent to the store. The line was extremely long on a Sat. afternoon, and we had to wait outside in the rain. They were only letting in one person/group at a time citing pandemic distancing rules, with one salesperson per person. The store is quite large and could accommodate at least 10x the number of people, in my opinion which was shared by others waiting. I and another person left the line before getting into the store since I did not want to wait for over an hour just to pick up some t shirts that I ordered. I asked to speak to a manager to discuss these issues but he purposely ignored my request.This is the level of customer service that can be expected at this store.

Zero customer service effort, they clearly think they can just rake in the money in their location centered in this foofy cookie-cutter condo area. I wish there was some other option in the area.UPDATE: I made the mistake of going back and trying again. Turned out a I needed a new bike, but they dont even have the model in stock, which they didnt tell me until after I wasted another trip. Unless youre some foofy white person living in the condos right there, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Trek is a great bike shop near Twinbrook Metro. I am always pleased with the staff and the bike services they offer. They know how to fix anything from my 1974 10-speed to any modern bike.

Daniel and George were great in answering all my questions and helping me pick out a mountain bike. No sales pressure at all, just friendly service. Daniel is super knowledgeable and comes across as very honest and trustworthy with the information he provided. Both Daniel and George spent as much time with me as I was interested in with asking questions and test riding several bikes.

Their service is what stands out and will make me a loyal customer. I regret that I don’t remember the name of the woman who helped me out but she was patient, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the products and services they offer. I have no doubt that I made the right purchase.

I recently called this store inquiring about a Trek FX Sport Carbon 4 bike that I wanted. I am a first time bike owner and wanted a fast high performance hybrid aka fitness bike that gave me the road bike experience with the comfort of a hybrid. When I called about this bike, the very nice and helpful staff told me that this bike would not be available to order until 12/2021 and that there is no stock at any local bike stores. The closest store that had it in my size in the blue color was in Middletown, DE. The staff gave me the name and address of that store. I purchased the bike there, and took it back to Montgomery County, MD where I live. I then purchased accessories and installs on this bike at Trek Bicycle Rockville. Tom Kish helped me get everything I need, and was extremely helpful in teaching me the basics of owning a bike, and helped me load and unload the bike. I am very impressed with the staff here, especially Tom Kish. This a great place to buy a bike!

Completely dissatisfied with my bike, today I went with my friends to a trail with my new bike only 2 days! and the chain of my bike broke. I ruined everyone’s ride because everybody ended up waking back with me. ( 7miles walking) was dangerous for my and my friends, almost 2 hours walking, worse experience ever. Now I need to go back to the store to fix my bike, unbelievable.

My dad and I were looking forward to buy a bike at this location. We were waiting in line outside for about 5 minutes and salesman and saleswoman came out of the store to ask the customers waiting outside what they wanted to buy from the store. When we told the Male person that we were looking for an all rounder bike, he said in a really rude, intimidating tone, that all of our bikes are backlogged right now and needs to be restocked. So my dad and I still stayed because we wanted to see the bikes first before we could decide if we wanted to buy their bike. We finally were next in line when the saleswoman let us in the store because she didnt want us to feel the heat. She was considerate and she said she would gladly help us, however since its her second day at work she cant show us anything yet since she lacked training.The salesman finally approached us and asked us what we need help with, and I told him that we were looking for an all round bike. The salesman told us that their bikes needed to be restocked and then next batch could come in on September. My dad replied then we just wanna look at the bikes first. The salesman then asked us what our budget was and my dad said that we wanted to look at the bikes first before we wanted to decide anything, and if we do like a bike we would buy it. The salesman then replied again I wanted to ask you what your budget is because our mountain bikes start at $6000 and our road bikes start at $6000 and can go up to $10,000, now do you prefer if you spend less than or at that price. We were still at the door at this point and I feel my dad getting angry. My dad replied to the salesman of course we wanted it to be lower, but we are already talking prices and we havent even see the bikes yet. The salesman then said okay, well show you the Merlin 5, our entry level bike that starts at $400 and goes up to $800 I then asked myself, why did he say that their bikes start at $6000 in the first place?While we were walking towards the Merlin 5, I felt the woman trying to ease the tension by asking me if Ive ever owned a bike. That moment of peace was immediately interrupted by the salesman. He basically said that this is the Merlin 5, this one is actually sold, but this is what it looks like. The salesman was entertaining me, but not my dad, so my dad just did a lap around the store and said he was leaving. When the salesman heard that, I heard him say THAT WAS EASY. In my mind I asked what was he trying to pull here? Is he trying to make a sale? or is he just going to intimidate his customers. He then stopped entertaining me and started to lead me towards the door.We left the store in disgust by what quality of customer service we just received. According to other reviews they got to ride the bikes, I barely got to look at one. We were going to buy 2 bikes, well just take our business somewhere else.

Awesome staff who are extremely knowledgeable and able to properly fit a bike for my daughter as a gift for her graduation. Delivery was within 2 days even during COVID conditions. Thanks so much!!!

We love this Trek location! I scheduled an appointment to get my front brake fixed. I was supposed to drop it off and it could’ve been a while until I got my bike back, but Miguel was was awesome and was able to fix it in 5 minutes and sent us on our way. Thanks Miguel!

The absolute worst!! Do not use this place! They took my girlfriend’s bike for a tune up and told us it would be one week. It’s now been a month and no one has called nor do they answer their phone or return calls.They were very rude when we were there also.We are sending a letter to the States Attorney’s Office to let them know about this awful place!

I wanted to buy this brand of bike. Was there yesterday and you have to pay parking since they don’t have one. When I arrived at around 3 pm there was a long line. Maybe 8 of us waiting. I waited over an hour but it did not move at all. The heat outside was so terrible and had to leave. Came back today at around 1:40 pm with my son and had to be in line again. Waited again. For about 30 minutes. Then the lady staff let us in and wanted us to stay in the entrance door. A guy came too and asked us what kind of bike we want. I told them we just want to buy a bike for my son and my wife. He replied “what price range we want because what they have right now is around $6,000”. We are still standing at the entrance door. Insisted to give my answer. I told them that as long as I like the bike we will buy it. The guys said “Okay, I will ask again because we don’t have the 400 to 800 price range bike”. I was now frustrated and said can I see the bikes. Then they let us in. The guy was talking more to my son and left me alone. Scanned the store for about 5 minutes and called my son and left without saying a thing. Maybe we look poor and cannot afford the 6,000 dollar bike. It’s just unfair that you spent time and money for parking and will not let you even see the bikes. I just want to tell you the saying “ Do not judge the book by it’s cover” . We don’t look like rich. You lost a sale there today. Two bikes supposed to be. I will never go back there. Terrible area, terrible treatment.

The customer service was exceptional. we were buying a bike for my son and he had a LOT of questions and comments. The sales rep was super patient and very attentive. You can only get this type of service in a specialty store like Trek. As first time buyers of a quality bicycle, we were very pleased with our experience.

6/12/2020 I google bike shop near me and this place comes up, i drove there. When i got to the shop they had a line. I joined the line, at the front was a caucasian lady, second in line was a older caucasian lady and gentleman and i was third an African American female. The guy let in the first lady, and while she was inside he came over to me ask what are you looking for today? i told him i am not sure, i dont know anything about bikes, hes like if youre looking for a hybrid bike we dont have any, what do you want? I was like i just want to look, he was like the reason i ask is because we would have to order the bike, i ask him are you telling me theres no bike inside i can look at? He replied yes, but what are you thinking of and in what price range? I told him i would like a mountain bike and my price range around $400, he like we dont have any bike that price the cheapest we have is for $1500, and he didnt even offer me the option to look inside whether i can afford them or not. Earlier this year my husband got our 2 daughters and i new bikes and i thought i could get him one as well since today is his birthday but my experience left me feeling so uneasy and hurt. I didnt know people still treat potential customers like this. I thought the guy was rude, and extremely dismissive to me.

So impressed with this store and this great team of professionals. The last time I visited Trek bikes in Rockville, it was the old store on 355 (they totally tuned up my Trek 2100 and made it beautiful). As Im thinking about a new bike, I went into the store to have a look. Mattie answered every one of my gazillion questions and walked me through all of my options. She also discussed the benefits of an E-bike with me. Ended up taking it out for a spin and it was a joy to ride. I left with quotes for the 3 bikes we discussed and will definitely head back when I am ready. (Had been looking at Specialized and had visited the store here in Frederick but the service, insight and knowledge at the Trek Rockville store was nothing short of phenomenal. Thanks Mattie!!

The guy that helped me upsold me on a Marlin 7. Because of his knowledge, enthusiasm for riding it got me so pumped to get this bike. I know many people will roll their eyes at that, but personally I needed the motivation and felt confident buying a bike from someone that took their time and showed me the ropes. Clearly my D2 was not the right fit for me, returned it, got my Marlin 7. Waiting on the trails to dry and I am going out first thing!

Very unhelpful, couldnt even put the tire on that I bought from them because they were too busy even though they said they could when i called before I went there and there was no line. Went home, watched a youtube video, and put in on myself in 10 minutes. Not sure how they were too busy to do that as it would take someone who knows what they are doing a couple minutes. Will not receive any more of my business since they cant even take a couple minutes for soneone who has spent a good bit of money at their store.Updating to 2 stars since they did call and tell me the same thing they did here. Though they did not do anything to make it right. What is also weird is that they replaced a warranty wheel for me and changed it the day I was there without needing to keep it over night. So either when they did my wheel they broke protocol to help me out or they are just giving an excuse for not doing it this time. To me it seems like an excuse as you can see if it is set right and you can spray it with soapy water to check for leaks.

Went there to get a price of a wheel set and this bike store is one of the many that the service people is treating customers think that they dont know anything about bikes. Never ever gonna go back in this store again!

Waited patiently in line, completely understand that we are not in what use to be a normal wait. What I don’t understand is a rude employee Coming out to say two weeks wait on any service even to just have a bike stand installed. I left and went to REI, purchased the stand and had it installed in less then a hour.

Excellent shop. Trek bikes are excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who understood what my 12 year old son needed and found the perfect mountain bike. Excellent knowledge of the products and biking generally.

TERRIBLE SERVICE REPS. I had to go 6 times to fix the defect in my brand new E-bike. 6 times!!! Not for my fault but because the service reps dont know what they are doing. The chain kept coming off and the new chain alignment was aligned incorrectly by the incompetent service technicians.And on top of that they have attitudes like they are luxury car mechanics.DONT BUY A TREK BIKE. THEY ARE THRASH!!!

I was fortunate to work with Ken Schulz who was relentless in determining which bike best fit my riding demands and expectations down to the last detail. They have had my bike for three weeks on a crank change, rear casette change, inner tube and tire change. No phone call. Phone is always busy. Unless you buy one of their bikes you go to the back of the line and that line is loooong...Bad business guys.
