It was my first visit. Great variety of Halal meat. Very hygenic and neatly organized shop. π π π
I like this butcher shop because they are super clean. The place is served by two gentlemen, an older friendly and a younger dark hair color who doesnt know how to smile. I dont care if he is not pleasant but I dont appreciate the price he inflates according to his liking. Two chicken breast $18 and a tray of chicken bones $4. I bought the same chicken bones the month prior from the older gentleman at $2. I am giving 2 stars becauset of the cleanliness and the very nice older gentleman but they lost the remaining stars because the lack of integrity. I will return because of the older gentleman but will walk out and go to Bismillah 355 less than 2 miles away if he is not there.
Rockville Gormeh Halal Meat is managed by individuals who have been butchers for generations. Like their forefathers, they know how to cut the meat professionally for best taste. I strongly recommend them to those who distinguish top quality meat and appreciate an unforgettable meal.
Hands down, the cleanest and most customer friendly meat store I have ever been in. Kudos!
Mashallah the meat is fresh and the costumer service is very good . Eid Mubarak everyone π
Great products and service. Strongly recommended.
Good quality meat and chicken but a bit pricey.
Be careful, they often charge for much higher weights than the actual weight
Great service, clean, and quality meats.
Had so much fun here. Kids especially. Great way to entertain the younglings. Would come again.
This is hands-down the best quality halal meat you will find in the area. Although it is a bit pricey, it is worth it if you are looking for superior quality and great taste. The owner is very friendly and happy to tell you about the farm the meat comes from. The animals are grass-fed and all-natural with no hormones.
The butchers there are very attentive. they listen to what type of cut of meat I wanted and they are very professional and their style. They have all the famous cuts including brisket ribs and others that most halal butchers do not carry.
Ive been visiting this butcher every week for over a year now. Its the best quality meat Ive found in the area! Even now I live 40 minutes away, I still make the commute rain or shine. The steaks have excellent marbling and are extremely fresh. The salmon is rich in flavor, the chicken is always fresh, and the goat is delicious. Ive never been unsatisfied. Additionally you should check out the restaurant right around the corner as they serve all of the same meats. Ill continue to visit this butcher for as long as I live in the DC area.
The store is clean and big, and the quality of meats are fine, but the prices are 30 to 50 percent higher than the other butcher shops. If you dont care about the price, here is the place to go.
Staff are very polite and friendly. I never had a bad experience shopping here.
I got my Easter whole leg of lamb from here. Now, personally, I dont care for lamb but other family members love it. The shop boned the roast, tied it up for roasting and even carried the package to the car for me. The lamb was fabulous. My husband, son and I, who arent lamb fans, ate it and thought it was very nice; tender and juicy without that gamy, smelly lamb taste that needs to be smothered with mint sauce. The people who like lamb were raving about how delicious it was. The man at the counter said that it was grass-fed lamb from Pennsylvania. All I can say is that it was the best lamb Ive ever tasted and I told my whole lamb-loving family about this store.I painted the inside of the lamb (where the bone had been) with Dijon mustard and a paste of garlic, rosemary, parsley, salt and olive oil. I tied the roast up again and rubbed the outside with the garlic, herb paste and refrigerated it over night. Two hours before dinner, the paste was wiped off, the roast was seared on the outside and then cooked at 375 F until it reached 135 F. Then it was taken from the oven, the string was removed and a paste of Dijon mustard, garlic, herbs and breadcrumbs was painted on the outside. It was cooked until the internal temperature was about 145 and then rested while covered. The roast didnt need gravy and mint jelly was not right with the delicate flavor. For 16 people, there were no left-overs from a 7.5 lb roast. This is destined to be a standard for our Easter dinner.
The best halal meat in the area. Iβve been buying meat from them for the past 5 years and iβve never had any problems. The owner is always on top of his workers. Highly recommended.
Ive been here twice and both times the butchers have been very helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. The first time I went I got an extra 3/4 cut of ribeye thrown in, and the second time I got free lamb burger patties and some tips on how I should cook the meats I ordered. I love this place and will be a customer for life
Best hala meat market. They offer mostly everything you want. The service is great and offer good discount.
This is the place for high quality halal meat in the DMV.The are many cheaper options out there, but few match the cleanliness, quality, selection, and service. My parents used to buy meat from the owner when he worked at another halal meat store 3 or 4 decades ago and have nothing but good things to say about him and his honesty. My mom says he used to let her know when the meat was not fresh and would let her know when the next delivery would occur.
This is where I always buy my steak from whenever I want to prepare it at home. Compared to other meat shops around this place is really clean. Their prices are also quite reasonable. My number one meat supplier.
Best place to go for fresh meat in Rockville
The best deli i have ever seen, cuts of meat you could only dream of, and its Prime+ quality. I come here for all my ribeye, veal, chicken, and turkey needs, even though i live 1 hour away its well worth the drive.
Great service and very fresh meat. I needed a specific cut of brisket and they brought out a fresh side of beef and cut it for me. Highly recommended.
Hands down the best halal butcher shop ever!!!!!!! I love the quality of the meat and love how welcoming they are.
This store is fantastic and owner always welcoming! The guys that work there will always take care of the cut exactly the way you wanted and meat mmmm meat is always fresh! Highly recommend!
Great quality meat, wonderful customer service! Thank you!
Supper clean
I drove 1 hour to buy some halal meat.i bought beef and whole chicken cut in pieces.when i opened the packages at home all the meat in the bottom was rotten.the surface meat looked fine but the bottom meat was black and rotten.i called the store and told them.he said bring the meat back.so I took it back the next day.they were rude and started arguing that the black meat and smell is ok π.
Very good quality steaks.
I went in to buy some merguez sausage. I immediately noticed that something was wrong - the color, the size, the fat content all seemed off - even the meat seemed older (dull brown color). In addition to which, the meat was deep frozen but not vacuum sealed, which freezer burned it.Once home, I put just one on the grill to test, and sure enough it was completely awful. The smell made my girlfriend gag. The spices were all wrong, it was over 50% fat and it was dry. I opened the rest to see what was going on and it sure seemed like grade D cuts of meat that were VERY poorly spiced. I suspect they simply fill the sausages with the worst cuts of meat they have left that are on the verge of going bad. Very poor practice and very disappointing. Wont ever set foot there again.
Very clean, high quality meat, bit quite pricey. Worth it though
I do not recommend the packaged goat meat. It is stale and lacks taste.
From just a pack of salami, beef or turkey bacon or chicken breast to any cut of meat, this place has it. Very very friendly and professional service.
You have to pay attention on how the owner calculate the price of each item. He will try not to provide you with label on each item. At the cashier, he will use all kind of manigance to fool you. The meat is good but the owner is dishonest.
I am a long time customer, the place is very clean, possibly the cleanest butcher shop that I have seen! Prices are high, but the quality and cleanness are unquestionable.
Worst quality and worst customer experience left some$tip for rotten chicken. Third time to receive rotten chicken meat. Never ever will step in to this shop again .left some $tip hopefully they will add n learn some customer service trainings. This experience was from owners and not from workers .
Excellent service and fresh Goat meat. I strongly recommend this shop to others who need fresh goat meat.
I visited yesterday to buy some meat but I did not because their prices double in comparisons to others as I buy mostly from University BLvd, A pound of Ground beef is sold 8.99 and other the same meat sells on 3.99,I asked they guy working inside regarding the prices,he argued that we sell quality meat though the same supplier provide the same quality meat to many of them.Check price before you buy for assurance just make a call and ask the prices,So you can better judge.
They are cheating the customer by weighting the meat wrongly. First they give big piece of lamb and then they say they will chop it in this process they take some part of it and put aside. When we ask to weigh it again they will miss lead you. This has happened to me on Aug/25/2017. Be careful when they cut it and weigh it.
Let me tell you about this place. We have been going to this place for the last decade. Best of the best. The ohter place in Gaithersburg is horrible and the owner is a thief and dirty. Karim.
Only butcher in the DMV area that sells quality cuts like filet mignon and ribeyes as well as fresh cut sausages and pepperoni, which all happens to be certified zabihah halal. Their filets are currently $21/lb. whivh beats out most average non-halal butchers. This place is an A+ in my book. Highly recommended for those who are looking for premium cuts
Great people here. Try the restaurant on the side.
Alhamdulillah. May Allah let the business contine to thrive, Ameen. Whenever I come here I get excellent service and I am always blessed with something extra. I have never even had to walk my own bags out. Its 30 miles from home but I will contine to take the ride, In Shaa Allah!!!
Clean and nice customer service
My son was sold bad cuts of goat which was charged at $11.99 per pound and it was very bad pieces of meat. I really felt like taking it back and throw it at him. Beware if you dont know about meat they give you all the pieces they cannot sell. The machine slaughtered Allen chicken that is sold is available at Restaurant Depot at under a dollar per pound.
Guys please avoid this shop. They cheat on a regular basis..price is high but they sell old and rotten meat.
Expensive for goat. 11.99 a pound ??? 8 to 9 is reasonable
Over priced.
