I’ve come here multiple times to get rings resized and my mom was actually the one to recommend me coming here. She always came here to get her jewelry modified as well. The service is amazing and they’ll have you good to go within 20 minutes max. I always enjoy talking to the owners and it looks like something out of Uncut Gems in there - I highly recommend you visit for any jewelry needs you have.

Mr. Singh and his son, Vic took our needs seriously and gave us all the information with fair price. The whole experience was very useful and smooth. My husband and I have visited all the 22 kt jewelers in the area and this one has the best selection of jewelry and they were very fair with their prices. They have a good selection of ethnic and American style jewelry. I was looking for something specific and I was able to find it easily at Gold City. With zero knowledge about engagement rings in hand, I visited Vikram and a few other high-end dealers in the area to try and find a good ring. What I found was that the other dealers were just hired salespeople, whereas Vikram both knew and understood the diamond business, and also was willing to share his knowledge so that I understood what I was going to be purchasing. I learned a lot more from Vikram than you could possibly learn from other dealers or online articles, and the entire exchange was a very positive experience. It took a few visits before I committed to a purchase (I was very much into researching), but I would highly recommend him for others in the same boat. Im very glad to have gone with him.

They have multiple choices and varieties. We bought almost 100gm jewelry on last year. It’s a family own business since long time. The Owner Son has great customer skills and huge patience. He gives you good advice while asking to repair jewelry. I did business with almost all family members including ( I guess owner’s brother and brother-wife). All are super nice. Ive made about a handful of purchases from Gold City over the last few years. Jewelry is something I truly love and spend a lot of time looking at on social media. I really enjoy seeing whats trendy and what the celebs are wearing - this goes for Indian/Bollywood stars and Western ones. Ive lived in Dubai and visit India and Tel Aviv often. Ive also lived in the bay area where there is a big population of desis. Previous to finding this store, I generally purchased my jewelry from well know designers or larger stores known for their selection.With that being said, I am more than impressed with what this hidden gem (no pun intended!) in the DC area has to offer. I was looking to purchase a delicate necklace with a small diamond on it from a Turkish jeweler that I saw on a friend. I was told that the owner, Anita, really has an eye for this style of jewelry so I went in and showed her. She designed a necklace (and bracelet!) similar to the one I loved at a fraction of the cost. I also decided on a gorgeous peridot ring and brought in many pieces for repair. A facet (pun intended) of their business that I truly appreciate is their honest pricing. They work hard to give you the best deal and work within your budget. Its evident they want their customers to leave happy. Now that Im back in the area, Ill always consult with Gold City before making any jewelry purchases. This family owned business is just what this area needs.

I went to Gold City Jewelers today after calling to check if they had some products on the shelves. Vikram reassured us that they do and if we dont, that they can custom make the gold! This place cheated me with sizing my 21k ring with 10k gold and they thought I wouldn’t noticed the difference. I took it back and asked why the person who sized the ring changed the color, I was told that “gold changes color when it melts” and they just put gold plating to cover it up. I went to two other Indian jewelers and they explained that it was poorly made and wasn’t the right type of gold karat for my 21k gold ring. I would never buy from liars again.

There were nice collections of jewelry in the store and they had a lot of variety as well. The customer service was good. Just know that the jeweler is in the store on Thursdays and Saturdays if by chance you want to make any adjustments in the piece you want to purchase.

We went here after a poor experience at another jewelry store and we were astounded by the high level of customer service, attention to detail and the quality of inventory available for purchase. The woman there won’t give you accurate pricing. I liked a mangalsutra which was priced ~$3200 and I was informed that they have a “sale” going on and that they would give it for $2400! I was stunned about the drop in the price. Anyway I really liked it and requested for the specifications of diamonds and the gold to which they gave me a vague answer which made me back off and then the sales person said she would give me another discount now the price dropped to $1980!!! Seeing this drastic difference in prices I left the store. I found mangalsutras for 60% of what she quoted on tanishq, who have a higher quality diamonds.Before making any purchase I would look it up on tanishq.

I recently went into this store, for the 1st time, because they are close to my office, to have a pair of diamond earrings evaluated. My inquiry required the attention of the owner/ diamond expert, who was evidently more concerned with a couple in the store shopping for earrings, with another sales associate, than to see if he could help me. Once my earring got his attention, for less than 2 minutes I might add, he never addressed me directly, other than to ask if I had papers for the earrings and commenced to deliberate with the associate, who greeted me, in their native language. (I might add, I noticed that the couple who he was eager to get back to also spoke this language.) Again, never addressing me to even give me his thoughts. The associate, who was relatively nice and attentive, commenced to plug in numbers into a calculator, never telling me what was just said, and came back with a laughable figure. To top it off, I could not get a definitive explanation as to what constituted the figure. I knew going in that the earrings were not VVS or even VS, but I was looking for an expert opinion on if what I paid for them was fair. I could not get that here.This establishment is not customer service oriented once they determine that the amount of money you may, or may not, spend with them is not enough to be worth their time.I was not able to get the assistance I was seeking until I went to Jewelry Exchange of Maryland in Gaithersburg, where I will be taking all future business.
