I live almost an hour from this dealership but I went there because of the online reviews. I am super pleased with my purchase and my experience at Southwest Kia of Rockwall. Angela was very informative and helpful throughout the process. She knows her stuff and she works hard to make her customers happy. My only complaints are that there is no privacy in the negotiating process. Tables are close together so others can hear your conversation. It also took a while to make it to the finance department but once we got in there the experience was quick and easy. Overall I recommend this dealership!

I went there because I received an email from them so I I started scrolling through the used inventory and I found a white Kia Soul that I feel in love with. Aaron was my salesperson and he did an excellent job try so hard to work it out for me to purchase on my own but I shouldve known better with a low credit score and disability being my online source of income, so I called my husband 5we got er done!!Thank you Southwest Kia,/ Rockwall.. but most of all Thank You Aaron for everything you did/had to do to make her my baby!!P. S. Exactly 1 week of getting my car a NEWLY LICENSED GIRL pulled out of Walmart right into my lane, even going up on the median she still hit me 😭But overall Kia of Rockwall and staff are all excellent

I drove off the lot feeling confident that I already had some knowledge on how to operate most of the electronics on my dash board. I went from a 2010 Corolla to a 2022 K5 EX! The staff is so kind and caring! Look, anybody trained to do an update on a recall can do that, expertly, quickly, and knowledgeably - but these guys are stellar! Of particular note was Jimmy Scott, Service Advisor. He felt like an uncle, taking charge of my precious KIA, seeing to it that the update was done. I felt well taken care of! And the front desk administrator, Kylee, counseled me on receiving my Visa gift card. The lovely lady who drove my car back and forth, complimented me on having a stick, and we chatted about that as she expertly multi-tasked her job at the door. This crew is like family. The cooling fan went out on my 1 year old Kia. I had to leave the car at the dealership. I was not given a rental car because of a shortage of them with Kia. I asked if they would reimburse me for having to get a rental on my own. THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT.

We bought the service package with our new vehicle (the third vehicle weve bought from SKR), and for the first oil change my husband took it to the dealership and was told that without an appointment it would take several hours. We live an hour away so he came home and asked me to make an appointment but when I called I was told that they dont make appointments and whoever told him to do that didnt know what they were talking about. So I took the car back a few days later and was again told I needed an appointment if I didnt want to wait several hours. I came home since I had my kids and when my husband finally took it the last time I was 900 miles overdue and it took him 4 hours to get it finished. Weve always been very pleased with the salesmen, finance guys, and everyone else, but the service department could use some help.

The finance department missed some signatures on our paperwork so Antione also drove nearly an hour to meet with me because of my busy schedule to get that fixed right away.

(AARON LEFF Writing this)- Car buyers- BEWARE! We recently purchased a pre-owned 2012 Ford Explorer Limited from this location (Rockwall) The vehicle was not ready to be sold, but they listed it and sold it to me anyway. The vehicle has some issue they were not up front about but assured me the evening i purchased it and said i couldnt leave with it, that it would be ready for pick in the morning. I get it, needs to be inspected, cleaned, it was late, etc.. Never got a call, i had to call several times the next day. I was passed around, deflected and when a person did answer the phone heavy sighs from Amber in sales is what i got- very rude woman-was NO help. Daisy, my sales associate has no interest in taking my calls, my wifes calls or finding the answers to my questions she does not know, rather says i dont know ill have someone call you.. Of course no one called. I had to call back a total of 5 times to get the Sales Manager to call me back and when he did, explains to me that im lucky they are fixing the car, rather than letting it go with issues..Really..! He did agree that i should have been informed and given a realistic time frame from my sales associate, but here we are, day 3- No follow up, No updates, not even from the Sales Manager.. They sold the car so now im not a priority.. My ability to shop elsewhere has been stripped due to the trade in were still driving, running credit, money paid and contracts signed. Were just at their mercy while the vehicle is being held hostage in the service department which is short staffed with techs and extremely backed up. Funny, none of this came up in the sales pitch or purchase process.. Dont buy a vehicle from these clowns!

Easily the worst service department I have ever dealt with. They have had my car since my scheduled appointment on 9/22. As of the review, it is 9/27 and they haven’t even LOOKED at it. Other than the fact that they have literally allowed my car to sit in their parking lot and haven’t even touched it, they also do NOT answer the phone. I’ve called three times. Once, did not contact anyone and remained on hold with service department. The second time, I had to contact sales because I was again in an endless holding limbo. The sales member was kind enough to “walk over” to service and I was placed on hold again. The call took 20 minutes only to confirm that they still hadn’t looked at my car after it had been there for 2 days, but would look at it the next day or the day after. Still nothing 4 days after that call.

I read one comment about a customer waiting too long to get their motor replaced. Hey, at least he got that far. 3 days after I traded my Soul in for another KIA, I get a notice in the mail that the engine was under factory warranty. We were told it was not when we traded it in. It only had 67,000 miles on it so it should not have seized up. They said thatw as odd, but no, it wasnt covered under any recall or warranty from the factory. Also read another comment about the sticker price change. We experienced that also. The sticker on the window said $20k. When we sat down, it all of a sudden went to $23k.

I have not had a good experience with this dealership. I bought a 2022 Kia Sportage at the end of August. I had to take the Sportage back 1 week later due to the air conditioner leaking into the back seat. They had my car for 3 weeks WITHOUT any follow up. I had to continue to call, leave voice-mails, etc in order to get the info on my vehicle. I have had the car back for about 3 weeks and I was vacuuming the backseat and the lining of the back seat is detaching. I went to the service center again and they took pictures. They said my salesman would call me the same day to talk about my warranty because its a factory issue. I havent received any call from the service center or my salesman. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I was helping friends out who had a budget for a car, they reserved a car Saturday to buy it Monday, had preapproval, and scheduled an appointment for Monday. They got to their appointment and Kia sold the car they reserved. We drove and hour and 10 minutes away. Luckily I waited for them. Then the sales guy tried to get them to buy a car out of their budget! They were there for 3 hours because they really needed a car.That’s Wrong in so many ways! I’m wondering if the bait and switch is always used and how many people default on loans because customers are pressured into buying a car out of their budget. Bought a used vehicle that was sold to us as being in great condition. A month later it already has a major problem with the power train. Called multiple times and was told they would get back to me. When I finally got someone on the phone they said they do not back their products and won’t do anything to make it right. They are the CLASSIC example of the bad used car salseman, trying to cover up and then dump bad product on people. They were rude, wasted my time, and delayed and deflected at every turn. I have almost never left a review for anything before but this was so appalling to me that I couldn’t let someone else buy a car here without knowing.

Took in for recall with an appointment made 4weeks in advance because I have to drive 75 miles and I was going to Dallas for cancer treatment on that day which I told the lady making the appointment. We drove 2 cars so I could drop the KIA off on my way to hospital when I picked it up they did not correct the recall because they had to order parts can you believe that they knew the recall and did not have parts and said I would have to bring back in and they called the next day and said parts were in. Did I say we have to drive 75 miles and I am going through cancer treatment. Very disappointed

Don’t trust them with anything. Never had a dealership raise the actual price of a car while I was looking at it. The listed internet price that I checked before I took my daughter to look at the car was $11,498. After we looked at the car and they brought out their actual offer it was now $12,400. This isn’t including the $999 they added for LoJack, which they will not let you opt out of, or the extra $699 for some kind of paint and upholstery insurance, which they won’t let you out of either. So after looking at the car, which they had listed on the internet for $11,498, after they got done with their funny math it was now over $14,000 before taxes, title or registration.

The worst service department I have ever had the displeasure of working with. There is always an excuse as to why the work was not completed on time. Example. I dropped our family car off for them to check the oil level we are having an issue with the car using oil. Car was dropped off Monday and here it is Friday with no call from Kia. Would give zero stars if I could for their service department. Dropped my car off on August 21st. They said they were a week behind. Ok no problem. They said my car was a 5 day job. Ok. My car was put in the shop on Tuesday Aug 31st. Ok. Today is SEPTEMER 16 and they still have my car and will not call me or my husband back. Went to look at a 2019 Kia Soul. They added 1600 additional to the list price than said we need to pay for gps and permaguard. This is a used vehicle. So list price was 16386. They made it 1800 + the extras so 21000z they convinced me to try a loan which they couldn’t even beat my back. I ended up with a 2020 soul from echo park or driver select for 18000 after ttl. I would recommend echo park if you are looking so you don’t waste your time echo park also beat my initial loan rate by 10%

I could not have possibly had a worse experience. In fact, I have never had such an unpleasant shopping experience in my life.I came in wanting to buy a used car listed a $5,598, cash on hand. I fully expected taxes and registration fees, so I was prepared for that. What I was not prepared for was when they came out with the bill total and it was over $8k. Thats nearly 50% higher than the listed sales price.The culprit for this was a protective weather coating and anti theft GPS add-on that they claimed was non negotiable. Though at first they did offer to lower that fee, and they reduced this extra fee down to around $900.When I brought up that it was illegal to refuse to sell me the car for the original list price, the sales manager, Mauricio, threw a huge temper tantrum like a toddler. He snatched the documents away from me started to jump up and down and raised his voice, refusing to return them. He said that he would not do business with me because I said the word legal. I asked him if he didnt already know full well what he was doing was illegal then why could I not have the documents? He said that they were his documents and not mine. Extremely childlike and embarrassing.Browsing some other reviews, he has apparently exhibited this behavior previously when asked questions about the exorbitant fees. So it is clearly a pattern with this individual.Texas Administrative Code 215.250 states that a dealership cannot refuse to sell you a car at the advertised price. The only fees they can tack on are things like tax and title and registration. Any work done to the vehicle in order to prepare it for sale are by law to be included in the listed sales price. They told me point blank that they do the weather coating and GPS to all vehicles that come through, so it was a by definition a dealer preparation. Aka, they cant legally charge extra.I am only saying all of this because you should all be aware of this law when shopping for a vehicle. All dealerships try to tack on fees, thats to be expected. It is their refusal to remove the excess ones that is unlawful. All other car dealerships I have shopped at have always removed the excess fees without a fuss.I simply couldnt believe how unprofessional and aggressive the sales managers behavior was. I would not trust this business with my money ever because they clearly have very dishonest and shady business practices.I actually was able to get a picture of the documents before he snatched them away, luckily - and his name is right at the top! So I will be passing all of this information along to the FTC fraud reporting system, txDMV complaint department as well as with the KIA corporate office.Buyer beware!!P.s. Antoine, who went with us for the test drive, was very kind and helpful. I feel so bad for him and the rest of the sales team that have to work everyday alongside this immature petty tyrant, Mauricio Pena.

I scheduled the 1st appointment of the day which was 8:00 AM. I had to be at work by 9:30 AM. I arrived at kia before 7:30 AM and should have been the first car taken care of. It took them 2 1/2 hours plus to finish the oil change. Needless to say, I was late for work. The few so called free oil changes they give you is not worth it. I will never go back for maintenance ever!

I just bought a vehicle from John Sweeney. I was a first time car buyer and several other dealerships were not as receptive as John was. I reached out and in 48 hours I was driving off the lot with my fair priced Dodge 1500 tradesmen. The service was excellent, fast, and smooth. Never did I feel pressured like the other dealerships made me feel. I was comfortable and John did not only focus on me. He brought my wife into the conversation and made a good impression on her as well. I highly recommend buying from John Sweeney. Sam is the financial manager (I think). He was just as friendly as John and gave me good recommendations about my needs. Additionally, he was honest and explained that the higher Warrenty was not necessary because of my down payment. He did not try to sell me, he tried to meet my needs. GO TO THIS DEALERSHIPS to buy a vehicle!

I have called all week trying to get a general update on our vehicle. A simple quick update... I have had my name and number taken several times, been transferred to voicemails and even hung up on. I was told my info was given to the service manager and I would receive a call back, That was Yesterday... Its odd my vehicle has been in there for Literally 20 days and I have not been given one update.... Very Poor communication.

My husband and I went a couple of months ago to find me a car and we went to Kia in Rockwall and meet with John Sweeney and he had just started that week and let me tell ya he was awesome and sold me a Kia Soul and it was the best decision I made... then this past weekend my mom was wanting to go car shopping and said she wanted to go see John since I talked so highly of him and we meet with him and she drove off with a new Kia Soul as well. He is an awesome salesman and does not bug or nag ya at all.Thanks for all your help John...

DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICE OR PURCHASE!!! NOW OWNED (July 2021) BY CALIFORNIA COMPANY....all the service advisors have left!! TOTALLY IN THE TOILET.....they lost one of the best service advisors I had EVER had....AND THEY RAISED THEIR PRICES TOO!! GRRRR

Not bad for service. Take our Kia Soul here. Hopefully they replace the motor with the current recall.Their selection of new and used is a bit small compared to other dealers. But not bad.
