I was working with Rocky Mount Toyota to buy a used Mustang for my 19 year old daughter. They sent me the sales agreement, I had the financing approved, the insurance setup, and I even had a date and time scheduled with them for my daughter to come get it. Then I get a text from Jacqueline Burke, my sales representative, stating they sold the car. She didn’t say we sold the car. Obviously deflecting responsibility. Even though her manager Chet Lyndon was involved and knew our situation. We live in Knoxville and this was a remote transaction. My daughter was ready to come pick up the car Friday, which is when her insurance became active on the VIN of this exact vehicle. I am 55 years old and have bought many cars. I even have a friend that owns many car dealerships in Knoxville. I am astonished at how this dealership treated us. It was the most unprofessional behavior I’ve seen from a new car dealer. I plan to file a complaint with Toyota and the Better Business Bureau. I believe without taking these actions their behavior will not change for future customers. If you have another option to buy a car other than Rocky Mount Toyota, probably a good idea to exercise that option.

I bought a vehicle from this dealership out of state. They were the most professional dealership I have ever done business with. I want to give a special shout out on one of there very special employees named Jackie. Jackie arranged for my vehicle to be picked up. However, the driver was over an hour late. Jackie, on her own time, and without me asking, waited until at least 9pm at night for the driver to show up (they closed at 8pm). Kevin is a true gentlemen, because he waited with Jackie since it was so late. In my opinion, Jackie represents the best of the best. She is an absolute sweetheart, and the dealership is truly lucky to have someone like her in there company (Kevin too!!!). I also spoke to Matt and Kevin several times. They were both awesome too!! We drove 3 hours 1 one way, so total of 6 hours for a used vehicle that we were interested in. Before we even went, one of the sales managers made us feel like we were burdens rather than customers. He twisted my words and refused to take a dealer add on package that was $1000 off that I told him not to do. I also asked him directly to please let us know in the videos we requested of any dents scratches etc because we just want to be aware before we drove that far. If it were minor things that we were MADE AWARE OF, then it wouldn’t be an issue. Long story short, videos were sent and they did a walk around and never pointed anything out so we were under the impression it would be good condition for a used vehicle. We get there, first thing I see is a significant dent in the front bumper, back taillight was completely busted therefore had water and moisture in it, and when we looked under it, you can tell someone hit something or bottomed out and flattened part of the underside. We were more so upset with the discrepancies that were found and the fact that no one disclosed any of these flaws beforehand like we asked. If we would have been made known before, we either would have not gone if we weren’t okay with it, or at least known what we were getting into. I am in Sales myself.. I know the business, but at the end of the day, we were treated so poorly by a few of the people and I am very disappointed by the dishonesty. Typical “car business” stuff I guess, but I’m in sales like I said, and you can be a salesperson without being a snake. The head GM Matt was the only one who was sincere about speaking with us at the very end after we decided to walk.

We initially went in looking at car prices for a used vehicle, but when Jackie started talking to us, we realized it would be cheaper in the long run to get a brand new car. We also werent expecting to buy a vehicle the same day, but after doing some paperwork, we were able to drive home in a brand new 2021 Rav4! Jackie, Chet, and Anna took care of us, and all three were phenomenal. We didnt even have to put any money down!! They were wonderful and patient with us, and we will be back. Thanks guys!!

I bought a Toyota Camry from here over a year ago, the sales people were AMAZING!! But on the other hand, the service department I have had issues with since Day ONE!! I have taken my Camry up there and ONLY there to be serviced, seems no one there knows anything about cars and has no desire to care!! For the past 6 months my car has made a slight rattling noise on the front end and I have taken to the service shop 4 times for that exact same noise and for 3 times I was told ohhh I dont hear a noise by multiple of their mechanics. Today I took it back bc the noise has worsened and was told they were gonna charge me $149.99 JUST to tell me what the issue is (mind you NONE of the other 3 times was I ever charged). The vehicle is under warranty and they still wanna charge me $149.99 to tell me what the problem is, but INSTEAD they put it on a lift and bring me this super small rock and proceed to tell me that small rock was causing the rattling. I instantly knew that rock didnt come from my car, but I just listened to what he said and he said that should stop the rattling. I get in the car crank it up, pull out the parking lot and guess what I hear...rattling LOUDER than before. Had they had driven the car like I was told over the phone they would, they would have known that small rock he claims he found wasnt the issue. Horrible service dept and horrible mechanics. Whats the point in having a warranty if they arent gonna use it to fix whats wrong with the car and they gone give you the run around about what it could possibly be!!

I drove here from Raleigh to test drive a used 4Runner and the car reeked of cigarette smell and the windshield had a chip, none of which were mentioned on the phone call with the salesperson or in the listing on their website. Their unwillingness to prepare the car for resale just speaks volumes about the dealership and the quality of customer care they offer. Stay far away from this dealership if you want to have a transparent and great experience buying a Toyota!

Went in for a simple inquiry and they have me wanting to cry tears of joy. Those that know me know the ups and downs my Cruze has given me. I just traded my 2012 Chevy Cruze in today with Mr. Jeff... If you need to do a trade-in or just want a new vehicle, come see Mr.Jeff.. He and the staff there are great. Any vehicle over 2016 has a lifetime warranty on the motor and transmission. If anything happens to either one all you pay is $100 and the replacement motor/transmission.

So when I first called and asked to speak to the Manager the sales person asked me a thousands questions and even after I told him there was nothing he could help me with he still continued to question me.. smh. He told me he would pass my information along for the manager and I have yet to hear back from anyone. So I have decided to just move my search for a vehicle to another dealership.

I waited until the last minute to replace my tires for a coming trip. I called the service department and discussed the size and type of tires I was looking to buy. I was pleasantly surprise to have a man treat me as, If I understood all things tires. I did my research! I knew what I wanted, but that brand wasnt available. I had several choices with one an off brand tire that I wasnt familiar with until the salesman told me that was what he put on his truck and they were standing the test of driving. I lucked out and got 3 tires with one for a dollar. Great pricing!I went with his suggestion and I am pleased with my choice. He ordered them that day and I had them installed the next afternoon. I also had my regular services of oil change and various inspections done with Rocky Mount Toyotas usual efficient and courteous service..
