My visit started off well, but ended horrendously. I was LIVID. There were two ladies who were very polite and accomodating. I had to make a phone call to get information to fill out on a form I had to fax, so I was in the store for a solid 30 min. The one lady had to leave, and she was nice enough to ask if i needed anything before she left. I was still on hold and said no thanks. After I got off the phone, the other lady was helping another customer. (Completely understandable) But what I have ZERO TOLERANCE for, is when anther person comes to help her, theres multiple customers walking in, and he greets and helps THEM FIRST!!!! I was beyond furious, asked for my paper and left.
One.... two..... three strikes you’re OUT!REPEATEDLY, this location in Rocky River sold me BAD HP Cartridge ink for Envy 5055 ink 65 in standard and 2XL. What bothers me is after I spent all morning running back and fourth to try more ink in my printer, they finally told me other people returned theirs too! They should have pulled the ink off the shelf for recall, but instead they run us around! I was so upset I was in tears! I finally went to staples and was sold good ink! I will never shop at this place again!GOODBYE
Don’t trust the sells man at this store. During the pandemic I took my son to purchase a lop top for his school. the employee told me if you open a credit card with an office max store they will give you $50 back. I said whey not. 90 days past I went to the store he told me to call the Corp office. When I called they told me only for business credit card not personal credit card. So the employees should know before I open a credit card.

Went to get a background check. Office Max provides this to the public for the U S Census Bureau, among others. They receive money for this. When I showed up, only one person working who was helping an older lady. Another guy came in after me and was also rung up before me. I said nothing but felt disrespected. Then the young man started going thru his procedures to do my background check, fingerprints, etc. In the middle of his preparations, 2 more folks came to check out. He stopped helping me and went to help them! I protested and he said his manager told him to do that. I was also in quite a hurry for a meeting far away. I mentioned I too am a customer and he replied Last I checked, my manager is the one who signs my paycheck. I stormed out as it was apparent even more people were lining up to check out and he would continue pushing me to the end of the line. I called the manager who meekly said he would talk to the kid but confirmed he told him to do this. I protested again noting they provide the service for a fee and I was disrespected both verbally but especially by getting bumped and that I was entitled to be serviced before these others. Very poor customer service. Poor management and procedures and training. Totally not going there again. Lost another hour having to go to another store later in the evening.
I was lied to about book binding and a dull blade? I have always had books bonded here. If there policy changed it should be posted.

Never fax anything at officemax. They charge $1.89 for the first page and $1.69 for every page after that. When i told the associate that they should tell people the price, i was told that the prices are posted. Yet, the prices are posted where most people would put the papers to be faxed. As it was faxing, thats when i noticed the price but i could not stop the transaction. Otherwise, the workers were nice.
I needed to have a number of 30 x 48 inch drawings scanned into PDFs. To add to the level of difficulty, the drawings were ink on mylar. The copy staff had the files created and saved to thumb drive in about thirty minutes. Im very satisfied with the clarity of the scans and the quality of work.
Ive always liked shopping here. If you watch for sales youll probably get a bargain. We know that the people working there are knowledgeable on product lines and tech requirements. Always helpful!

I would love to give this company a better rating. The employees I have worked with have been skilled, polite, and quite competent. Their service was as good as could be expected from a back-end administrative system that appears cobbled together at best. The merger of Office Max and Office Depot has been a symphony of disaster for their customers. Antiquated computers that seem to crash constantly, a navigation system that is clumsy, counter intuitive, and redundant complicates every transaction I have attempted. If only they had competition in the marketplace. Sorry Office Max/Office Depot, you have lost yet another client to Vistaprint, or any of the plethora of companies online.

Ive relied on this Office Max for my full color print needs for a while. Ive never been disappointed until this week. I am feverishly working to meet an exhibit deadline and needed color prints of photographs printed on card stock to be later mounted on wood. Friday I picked up an order from them and it was perfect. Same on Saturday. Then yesterday, I was at first disturbed to be told they had not received my order, even though I had a confirmation email. The minute I arrived home, I found they had sent an email saying my prints were ready?! So back I drive to pick them up and take them to be mounted. But they were not printed at 100% document size, so they did not fit the plaques I had made. I contact the store and they tell me just order it online again and well reprint. But again they were printed too small, and I was told they had no control over what size printed out. So, what happened to their equipment or personnel that suddenly the order could not be filled correctly? I was also told I would need to contact online customer service to get a refund on the 2 incorrect orders, they would not issue a refund in store. I am still waiting to hear from customer service regarding that matter. I think I just lost 2 days and half my print budget for nothing.Update: I changed my rating from 1 star to 2, because they did issue a credit for the 2 bad batches. Still a little floored that my 8.5 x 11 documents could not simply be printed at 8.5 x 11. Thats OK. Staples took care of it.
Steve the copy supervisor was a great help when I messed up my order. I did not get charged for the copies I did wrong, even though I was offered help (and chose to do it myself anyway). Thanks Steve!

There was a malfunction with their laminator (which was a bummer) but their print supervisor Steve called ahead to another store and had my order together and ready to take to another store. I dont know about everybody here but he was excellent.
I stopped on the way to work to see if they had an HDMI to DVI cable. They didnt. I decided to purchase a Samsung tablet. I had to wait ten minutes to find out they were out of stock. Their loss was Amazons gain...
The employees demonstrated knowledge on the products and provided excellent customer services.
