Great products but lacks in customer service. Every time I call Im put on hold. Waiting on a product ordered (paid in full) in 2020 and have yet to receive it. Was told it was ordered twiceHopefully I can change my star rating soon but will likely take my families (4 bikes) business elsewhere
Friendly and helpful staff. Im not the most knowledgeable about bikes and such, but the staff was nice and knew exactly what we were talking about when we were asking about fanny pack camel back things...
It’s huge shopYou will find good shoes and bikes 🚴 hereI bought a new bike a couple of months ago that I have already put many miles on.No issue as I seen till nowI have loved it so much and being loved being able to get outdoors.I talked to my friends about biking and my parents and cousin quickly got on the bandwagon
Knowledgeable staff, great customer service. Always super fast and fixing my bike
A+++ to this place. Been a customer since the beginning but extra special thanks to Rob for not only getting the exact bike I was wanting ordered today but also for once again going above and beyond with customer service!
By far the worst bike shop in town. Would not recommend to anyone. Customer service and communication is non existent. I’ve had a bike in there for far over four months at this point. I’ve reached out to their bike shop manager and GM multiple times to voice my concern, but to no avail. At this point I feel like I’m being blown off.
Great inventory. Horrible customer service in the bike department. I bought my bikes here but will no longer be bringing them back for tunes ups and I won’t be doing business here in the future. Save your self the time and hassle.
Took my husband’s bike in to get new peddles put on it. They were very friendly and took care of it fast. Thanks Lewis and Clark for the excellent customer service
My husband invested in a nice road bike from Lewis and Clark after Christmas. He rode it twice. It began to make a weird noise so he took it in for service. They kept his bike for THREE weeks. Every time he called, they said, Oh, were waiting on a part. or Itll be ready next week. They said that for three weeks. After calling the store four times today, someone was able to locate his bike. (They couldnt even find it the first three times.) They told him it was ready. He went in to pick it up. They had him ride it in the parking lot. It still had the exact same noise/problem as when he dropped it off THREE WEEKS AGO. They replaced some other part instead of the one that needed to be replaced. So they have his bike in the shop. Again. And have said, youll probably get it back in a week.EDIT: After seeing this review on google, the bike manager called and got my husbands bike back to him within a few days.
If you’re looking for good customer service and a reliable bike staff I would recommend staying away from Lewis and Clark. I’ve had nothing but a bad experience trying to get my bike tuned up and fixed and at this point am not sure what the hold up is. I called and made an appointment with them and took my bike in on the 21st of April since they said they preferred having it ahead of time, the next day I received a text message letting me know what they would be changing along with prices and asking if that was alright, this was the only form of communication on their behalf that I would have for the next month and a half. I replied back to their text asking if we could do everything the mentioned except changing out brakes and never got an answer back from them. After a month I started to worry and called up there a total of 5 times in the span of a week before anyone could tell me what was going on. The first guy said that they were waiting for the bike mechanic to look at it, the second said he would have to look it up and get back to me and then third and fourth told me that they were waiting on parts for the bike but wouldn’t specify as to what parts they were waiting for. Every time I would speak with someone it was as if they were a new employee who couldn’t just give me a straight forward answer. After that I decided to give them a week or two so they could get in whatever part they needed for my bike but I still was not getting any form of communication as to what was going on so finally after a month and 25 days of waiting I call back again and talked to someone who starts off by asking “so what are we doing to your bike?” So I tell him that I honestly have absolutely no clue because no one has communicated with me and it’s been in their possession for 5 days short of two months. He then pulls up whatever file they might have and says “yeah we are going to true your rear wheel, should be fairly easy.” At this point I am beyond upset because not only was that not the only thing that was going to be done but I have someone here telling me that it should be fairly easy to do after having my bike for two months. The very next day I get another message letting me know my bike is on the stand and needs a new chain and I agree to doing that and I still haven’t received anything from them about how much longer it’s going to take.Listen I understand we live in a place where people take biking very seriously and just about everyone rides, I also understand that parts have been scarce since COVID and that some bike shops are doing what they can but that does not excuse the poor customer service that I have received and continue to receive. If it was a part that they were waiting on why did I never get a call or text letting me know what part it was and that they had a long waiting list? I took my bike to Lewis and Clark because that were I bought it back in 2015 and thought that they would be able to provide the same customer service but I was wrong. There are many bike shops around here that have quicker turn arounds and actually provide customer service and call and provide their customers with updates and I will 100% be taking my business to them if and when I get my bike back. I can’t for the life of me figure out why it’s taking a reputable bike shop two months to true a wheel, change brake cables/housing and change a chain, if that’s taking them this long then I can only assume what bigger issues on other bikes would take them. I don’t normally go out of my way to write reviews and I fear that they might not do any work on my bike after this is posted but I cannot sit around and not have this on a platform that might save others moving to this town or even passing by to visit.
I took a family member to buy a bike, and thanks to the wonderful experience from the staff, the owners son, and the owner himself, I left buying one myself and am now choosing Lewis and Clark for all my bike and outdoor needs. I highly recommend this place. They don’t just see you as another customer but as an actual friend and will make sure you are taken care of. Amazing quality of people, service, and goods
After having my Liv alight 3, that I preordered in full back in March, sold to someone else in front of me as I came to pick-up (girl was walking out with it and I walked in)... I was pretty disappointed with my first experience purchasing from Lewis and Clark. Whether the bike was not tagged or tag verified prior to allowing someone to leave with or purchase the bike) I don’t know. I was offered a refund or an upgrade to a Liv Alight 2 on back order, that I would have to wait for. We all know bikes are in shortage right now, so that’s not controllable. I just felt like I had no visibility to when I would actually receive a bike, and a little on the back burner after purchasing a $500 item from this company and it being sold to someone else...and that maybe I could have went elsewhere originally. Each time I would call to follow up, I was given an ETA of the next week or the next week. Finally last week (June) Jared the store manager provided me with a tracking number and the bike came in. Andre notified me that the new bike was in, built and ready to be picked up. Needless to say, I hope that their tagging system be improved, but things do happen and I much appreciated the follow up from the two named towards the end. Not to mention that the bike is such a smooth ride, it was (almost) worth the mix up and wait 😁
Incredible staff. Will take care of all your outdoor needs and questions
I bought a new bike a couple of months ago that I have already put many miles on. I have loved it so much and being loved being able to get outdoors. I talked to my family about biking and my parents and brother quickly got on the bandwagon and got some bikes of their own. Fast forward a couple months and we will be doing our first square to square together this coming weekend. I’m thankful we can share this love and bonding experience thanks to Lewis and Clark outfitters. The staff is always so wonderful, and happy to help in any way. You are greeted with smiles and compassion. I was even lucky enough to meet the owner of the company, Jim. We got to sit down and have a wonderfully pleasant conversation. Thanks for everything you all do, you’re amazing and awesome!!!
My husband and I purchased 2 bikes from Lewis and Clark. Thank you to Jon and Hayley for such wonderful customer service! Walking in, I had no idea what I was looking for. Hayley took the time to educate me and helped me to determine which bike would fit my needs. She is extremely knowledgeable and an incredible asset to the company! Thank you Lewis and Clark!
I live about two hours away in Missouri and frequent the NWA often. I always end up going into one of the stores. Friday(6/19) I went had a great conversation with one of the employees in the bike department about KONA bikes. Non in stock, but I Would definitely pre order the bike I was looking at and drive the two hours to pick it up from Lewis and Clark. Great people and great service.
Giving 4 stars. Not giving a full 5 star review for a few reasons. One point being prices. Not much to do with rating because you get what you pay for. Quality generally isnt cheap. Second is the cycling center needs a little help. Employees there are great!!! ESPECIALLY Andre and Grace. Ive been in and out of the Rogers location for a month almost daily now and every time them two are there to help. Bought 2 bikes the same day because of them two. The shop just needs some help. I dont think the 1 or two techs can keep up with the demand. They always seem to have 50 or more new bikes ready for assembly. I feel bad for them. Its isnt their fault so please dont tear into them! Thank you again Andre and Grace!! See you soon! (Need a few things haha)
You won’t regret buying your bike here at Lewis & Clark. They have excellent customer service. This is the a best bike place north west Arkansas.👍
Changed tubes in my 🚴♀️ tires. Very friendly and didnt have to wait!!😊
I have been a customer of Lewis and Clark since they opened. We have purchased four bikes, Canoes and recently purchased a couple of E Bikes. The entire staff is so friendly it’s unbelievable. You don’t get that in many businesses if any. Melissa helped us through our purchase of many items as well as our Bikes and has literally been the best customer service person I have ever dealt with In any business anywhere. Also meeting the owner there before our purchase totally helped us decide this is where we are going to spend our money. What an amazing Guy. Going in this establishment they make you feel like family. Highly highly recommend this place.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I test rode an ebike and received a lot of excellent information from the staff.
Without a doubt, the best bike shop in NWA. Always quick to help and attentive to the clients needs. Melissa leads an amazing team of bike guys. They have all the answers you would have for anything from MTB to road bikes. Just overall a great place to just go and walk around with niche merchandise and a more than friendly atmosphere. We’re really blessed to have them in the area.
The workers were very attentive to me when I first walked in the door. They greeted me with a friendly smile and welcomed me to the store. I was offered a bottle of refreshing water. One of the young persons helped me locate the wool socks I was interested in. They seemed to be quite familiar with where the socks were and the quality of the merchandise. I was impressed with what seemed a genuine interest in helping me find what I was looking for. Another thing that impressed me was their attentiveness to me as a person. I felt they were genuinely interested in me as a person. I felt very relaxed during the whole experience. I did purchase some socks but felt no pressure to purchase anything. I was impressed with the variety and quality of the merchandise but even more impressed with the quality of the sales persons. I do and will continue to recommend Lewis and Clark to my friends and others as the occasion arrises.
My husband has wanted to visit this place for a long time so we came in to look around and was blown away by the excellent service. Every sales person we encountered was proactive, friendly and extremely helpful. The sales person in the bike area even offered us a water when we said we did not need any help. Extremely personable staff very welcoming and great sales! We will definitely be back.
Excellent customer service! I have been going to this store since 2011 for all of my outdoors needs. Always friendly people willing to help you in any way possible so you can enjoy the amazing outdoors activities around the NWA area. Sales people are not pushy and they want to earn your long term business instead of just selling you something that day. Their return policy is YES which is awesome.
It is very difficult to find decent, honest and reliable place with good customer SERVICE..... they do exist but Lewis and Clark IS NOT ON THIS LIST....LONG STORY SHORT.... STORE MANAGER PROMISED ME TO SELL DEMO BIKE WHEN FIXED... PLACED MY NO. AND ASSURED ME THAT WILL RECIVE CALL WHEM READY IN THE MEANTIME SOLD BIKE TO SOMEONE ELSE... PROBABLY A FRIEND OR SO.... BOW BOEING OFFERED FULL PRICE BRAND NEW BIKE....NOT EVEN TRIED TO MAKE IT UP.... JUST $$$$$$$ try to avoid this business.... they growing and it means they will need more money.....so no hard feelings....
I went to buy a bike and my brother ended up picking it up for me in less than a week so that was awesome. Unfortunately it was not the color that I had asked for so I called to let them know; they were so nice and apologized for that and said they would get the right one built and call me when it was ready to be picked up but in the meantime that I could keep the bike I had picked up until mine was ready. I was surprised that they let me keep the bike until my bike was ready and thought it was so nice of them. The staff is super friendly and so helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting to buy a bike to come here because they are awesome!!
I would really like to thank Grace she was super helpful and patient with me and my friend and she provided amazing customer service.
Always friendly. So helpful. I love the selection and theyre always ready then help find you whatever you need. Will always do my shopping for outdoor gear with them!!
My husband and I purchased bikes there several years ago and the minute we walked in the doors, we were greeted by very professional and yet very personable associates. They went the extra mile to accommodate and service our needs. We love the store, atmosphere, and have always been made to feel very special.
Great folks working here. Bought a Giant e-bike. Cant give Giant too much credit. Ended up giving the bike back. The folks that work here did above and beyond the call to make this customer happy.
Happy to support the compassion house. Great event today. Lots of good people and fun and tasty bicycle ride. Very well organizedWill be back next year
Purchasing from Lewis & Clark is one of the best shopping experiences Ive had. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to make the extra effort to help outfit their customers with the best gear. Highly recommended.
Great outdoor supplier and bike shop. I wanted to buy a new mountain bike after moving to the Bentonville area late last year. Lewis & Clark was recommended by a friend. They had a great selection of bikes and made the purchase experience easy. Got to test ride the bike, they made sure it was tuned up before I left and I get lifetime maintenance on it. I would highly recommend them!
Had a good selection of bikes, miracle in these times.
Great brands with reliable products. The climbing section left something to be desired, but an amazing bike selection.
I very much enjoyed the Tour de Taco ride!! Everything was organized and well thought out. I hope this event happens again next year.
We had a fabulous experience participating in the Tour de Tacos ride. Lewis and Clark are to be commended for their sponsorship of this event. I hope it becomes an annual event!
I’ve placed orders with this business and the service was excellent. Just two days later my order was delivered.Nice people!!! I highly recommend them!!
I went here to find a pair shoes for work as a nurse. Although they didn’t have the size in the shoe I wanted, Mandy helped me find a pair online that I liked even more and in my size. They ordered them for me and had them shipped for free. I will always buy my Hoka’s from Lewis and Clark and I definitely recommend anyone else to do so as well!
Great place and selection. Staff is truly amazing and friendly. Very knowledgeable. Mellisa is amazing!!
Some of the greatest people you will find in a retail establishment. They genuinely care about the customer and make it their goal to provide resources to help you grow personally through healthy recreation and connection with your community and family.
Bike shop never answers the phone. Had a bike in for repair since November, was told it would be ready before Christmas. Its now April and the bike is still not ready.UPDATE: Jared with the bike shop got in touch with me and had everything taken care of by the end of the day! Thanks Jared!
Stopped in the other day to get help with lowering my bike seat height. Had to have it cut down. Can’t remember the guys name who helped us but he couldn’t have been more helpful!! Everyone in the entire shop was so helpful and friendly.Best Customer Service I’ve seen in a long time!
I finished Tour de Taco in September and had a great time with my encounters of the Lewis and Clark staff who helped post and run the event. Im so glad amateur families, middle run cyclists, and full-blown enthusiasts could have a good time.
Customer service is terrible. Will take my business elsewhere next time.
I find myself at Lewis and Clark even when I don’t need to buy anything. The owners and staff are among the nicest folks I’ve ever met! The knowledge of the outfitters is one thing, but they care about me as a person, which is hard to find. They have fostered my hobby of getting outside into a lifestyle. I even met my wife while shopping at Lewis and Clark Outfitters!!Go out and Play!!
Love this store! My whole family has bikes from here and we love the free lifetime service they offer!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff was able get myself and my family on just the right bikes! Very satisfied and ready to get out and ride!
Beautiful store and such amazing staff! I love how charitable this company is.
Excellent service and friendly staff. I ordered a Kona Honzo from them and got lent a loaner Honzo until my ordered bike arrived. So amazing that they could do this for me. Thanks to all the staff at Lewis and Clark in Rogers Arkansas.
One of the largest outdoor gear shops in nwa. High end outdoor clothes, footwear, Backpacking gear, camping gear, rock climbing gear, and tons of bikes and bike gear and more. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are pretty average for this type of gear. Lots of local outdoor adventure knowledge.
So i bought my bike from here. I went to go get my tire fixed cause it was flat. I got there and he fixed it, but when I left and went on the trails for 30 minutes it was flat. So I went to phat tire shop, and he said I needed a new tube and there was staple in it. I’m really upset with the service here.
Best customer service ever! Hands down!
Was a great ride! Lots of good food along the way.
Very friendly and quic service for small fixes...!! They are knowledgeable and guide new bees well with all options. Carry all kind of bikes.
Love my Ebike. I can now enjoy riding without pain in my knees!!!
Terrible service purchased a new bike from them and they would never get me a spare derailleur hanger. later I broke a spoke and they told me 2+ weeks to get replacement and that took 3 days to find out that information, every time I would call to ask about it was a whole new world with them and had to start completely over again . I purchased a new set of wheels so I could ride I will never purchase a bike from these people again very disappointed.A friend of mine purchased a road bike from them and it was not assembled correctly.
Great place for anything outdoor. Bikes, hike, climb, camp, swim, kayak, .......
Great place to buy an e-bike . Very good service!!
Ive been in this store several times and I always have a good experience. I am greeted promptly when entering and I get asked if I need help finding anything. I bought a bike rack here a few weeks ago and the employee was super helpful. He removed the rack from the display and even tried to install it for me, which I declined due to wanting to install myself. Great overall place to shop.
L&C put a new fork on my 11 year old Scott- its perfect. Appreciate the text message to pick up. Also - When i picked up, Clay asked me if i knew how to adjust fork, which i did not. He took the time to patiently explain how the fork adjusts. Appreciated that. Considering doing some bike classes there now.
Awesome customer service! I returned a product a had purchased over 2 years ago, but didnt have a receipt, the employees I dealt with took the time to find my purchase and confirm it was under warranty. She reordered the part and will call me when it has arrived. Awesome service!
Lewis & Clark; a great place for all your outdoor needs.
Always a great store. Very friendly staff!
My family has shopped here for many years and always find the staff friendly and knowledgeable. We have bought a number of bikes here and really appreciate the service and the tune-ups to keep the bike in good working condition. As an urban adventurer and bicycle commuter, I cant recommend any other place for clothing, camping, skiing and cycling gear.
Incredibly friendly staff that is very helpful and knowledgeable, not just about the products but also great places near town to hike, bike and do anything outdoors! I put their return policy (Yes you can) to the test and they allowed me to return 2yr old gloves that hadnt been worn. Love going here and will definitely be back.
Excellent experience every time I visit this store which is usually 2-3 times per week. I have purchased several bikes from them and true to their word, you get free lifetime checkups and tune-ups. This doesnt mean you get free parts -- if something breaks you need to pay for it. I had a bike frame break a couple of years ago and the manufacturer of the carbon frame said it was my fault. Lewis & Clark stood by me and took care of the problem with a new bike.
The customer service at Lewis and Clark Outfitters is among the best Ive ever seen. The manager at the bicycle shop installed a new bolt that holds my bicycle seat on at no charge. It broke while riding across that cement to check out a large tree trunk that was left on the bank of the river from one of the last floods from rain. I stood up when I rode down the slope into the water, but when I went back down on the seat from the impact it broke the bolt holding the seat on, so I stopped and my feet got wet. Thankfully I was going to this store to buy short socks anyway, but I still rode home with wet shoes and socks.
This is a great store to get all things outdoors. I have bought a number of things here, most notably my hammock and bike. In both instances, the staff was very knowledgable and helpful with the purchase. Also, when you buy a bike here, they give you unlimited tune ups for the life of the bike.Really cool store overall. If you dig the outdoors, you will love Lewis and Clark.
Best bike shop in town! Im a klutz, so Im in here with a broken bike quite often. The staff is always helpful and patient and their work is high quality without breaking the bank. This review is reflective of 6 years of amazing service! Thanks.
Very unprofessional experience. Bought a bike from a MECHANIC at LEWIS AND CLARK with a fork steering tube cut too short. Young man said “your bike your problem” when I spoke to the service Manager Jared, he wouldn’t even take a look at the bike for sake of safety. He would not stand behind the shops work and asked me to leave. DO NOT BUY OR TAKE YOUR BIKE HERE
Customer service is excellent! Our kid bike trailer had a defective wheel and so we have to replace it with Burley but it was going to take several days. L&C saved the day and let us borrow a wheel over the weekend so we could get out and play on a pretty day as a family! They live by their motto and want their customers to do the same.
I like these guys because they provide good customer service and stand behind the products they sell. Also their store is really fun to shop and hang out in. I would rather pay a few more bucks to buy from Lewis & Clark to get that quality customer service than buy from a discounter on the internet.
They did us up pretty good! But the staff here arent rude, they know about their products, they treat you like a valuable person. So if youre trying to get terrible service... Then this is not the place for you!
Excellent service and staff. They always take care of you!
Four days ago I drove from Plano, TX to ride the trails in NWA and on day one shredded the pedal/crank interface on the drive side of my mountain bike. I had no prior experience or knowledge of Lewis and Clark but I can honestly say it would be hard to find this kind of customer service anywhere else and I am glad I stopped in. Jacob had the parts needed to fix my problem and took care of the fix right then and there. He also made some additional adjustments that made my bike work even better. You can bet Ill be stopping at Lewis and Clark the next time Im in town and really appreciate the assistance I received from Jacob in the bike department!!
Bought a new bike here, great experience. Bought a used bike and it was completely the opposite. The bike had a broken front derailleur. I rode it around after purchase and noticed it was broken. Took it back and was told that the broken part was the reason why it was a good price. Thats a nice explanation for selling broken merchandise right. They said I could buy a new derailleur and they wouldnt charge labor. Fair enough, except they never ordered the part. I returned and they apologized and said they would order the new derailleur. They called and told my wife the part was in and ready to be installed early. Nice right... Not really, the part had not been ordered again because they didnt know what to order. The lady on the phone, whose name started with a K, was rude and acted like it was my fault for not knowing all of the exact specs of the part. Wow, what a mess. I never brought it back and they never called. Real concern for satisfied customers.. I took it to another bike shop and they got to it immediately. Really pitiful service.
Very helpful staff. Good selection of bikes. Great program for rewards
Dropped off my bike a week ago for a simple tune up. They called me and said it was done and ready for pick up. Show up today and they searched for nearly 20 minutes and couldnt find it. The mechanic said they would call me when they found it, as I had to get back to work. No phone call received so I stopped by after work. My bike was sitting out but I discovered that no work had been done to it. They literally stored it for a week. One of the mechanics put some air in the tires and cleaned the chain quickly and apologized. Youre not the only show in town so get your act together. We wont be visiting your shop in the future.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They had a little bit of everything. They even have a climbing wall you can try out. They dont have climbing gear but they say they are working on getting it in.
I highly recommend Karen! She fits you to the bike you need! She is amazing as are all of the employees. My daughter is thrilled with her new bike for her 30th birthday!!!
Love them! Very helpful picking out a bike that suits my needs.
Great selection, decently priced!Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. One of the best bike shops in town.
Dont shop here unless you fit into their idea of who outdoor people should be. The guy that helped me yesterday with a backpack (who was rude, I might add) basically pawned me off on another salesperson today when I went back. To my face even. Yes, Im new to backpacking but isnt that the reason you go to a store like this...to gain knowledge? Ill never buy from this company and what a shame that is for them too because I just spent over $5,000 on gear elsewhere. The outdoors is for everyone!!!
Extremely nice staff. Lifetime tune ups are a definite plus. Convenient locations.
Great store, helpful staff and prices that compare to amazon, which is near unheard of. Keep up the good work guys!
Staff is very helpful. Good selection of bikes and clothes. Cool place to go and check out new items.
I was in Bentonville for work. Went in to check some things out. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They told me to go try Slaughter Pen and since I had my bike I did. Wish we had one of these where I live.
First time at store I met a young guy named Evan.he knows his stuff..I like it when I go into a store and the staff know more than me.thanks to him. I will be buying a osprey or jack wolfskin. Backpack for my future hikes.
Knowledgeable staff and wouldnt go anywhere else for my outdoor needs. I love the atmosphere and activities provided!
Great, honest people there to help you with your choices.
Fantastic service and products that you wont find anywhere else in the region.
Here is why I gave 5 stars: I went into the store, asked if they had a certain pair of socks, the gentleman said no and referred me to another place that sold them, and then I left. He didnt tell me why L&C socks are better or try to convince me to buy something else, he just told me what I asked for. The staff there are friendly and seem to care more about people than a business, which I like.
Outstanding customer service. Im always impressed by their willingness to teach, depth of product knowledge, and enthusiasm for outdoor adventurers.
Wonderful service thank you for everything your guys awesome
My first time visiting this location. I went in to try on some Osprey packs. I was hoping to try out the Levity or Exos packs since Im not sure my Zpack will arrive in time for my trip. I was also happy to see that they carry Garmont shoes (I love mine and wasnt aware that there was a local dealter). While there were plenty of salespeople, unfortunately none of them offered to help. They were quite pleasant to others, but I was basically ignored. I see that Gearhead and Pack Rat sell the Levity pack, so Ill probably just go there. If Im ignored at those places, Ill just use my REI card and buy online. I really like to shop local, but theres no benefit to standing around being stared at versus buying online.
Folks is redneck and be a two people.
