Good service and good coffee. Extensive menu with a lot of original choices.
Plain breakfast. Plain coffee. No actual server (which I thought was weird), but they had 4 different people serve us. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt great. Just fine.
Will find a new breakfast place....Party of 8: we waited over an hour to be seated. Once we entered the restaurant there were 3 tables that were clear and large enough for 8 people. The hostess came out 2 times asking can I talk to Michael, party of 8 to propose 2 separate tables. They were just trying to turn tables as much as possibile. With 4 elderly people sitting out in the waiting area, another solution should have been provided. Walker Bros. Has been crossed off my list.
Eggs Benedict...tasty. waffles tasty. Served quick. nice place.
Enormous menu, and huge portions! That said, this place could likely benefit from having a smaller menu...could move the needle on the food from good to great.
Good food, not what everyone raved about. The strawberry crepes were definitely on par and above something like a Dennys or Perkins, but for me it felt like something was missing from the dish. Some kind of sweet cream or custard to balance out the flavors. The orange suzette sauce was delicious though! The hash browns with habanero cheese was very good. Although, fairly inattentive staff in a fairly empty restaurant made it a little difficult to fully enjoy. Polite, but it was also very difficult to hear them from a foot away.
I like Walker Bros. because of the gluten-free options. The food is always consistent and service was spot-on.
Everyone is really nice and the food is good. Great atmosphere. Greater food.
Informed the server of my severe Tree nut and Peach allergies. So, he brought me the allergen menu. I ordered what was deemed safe for my allergies. When my meal arrived, it had granola on top with chopped pecans on it. Thank goodness I saw the nuts. Otherwise, it would have been a serious situation. I alerted the server, who switched my breakfast out for something different. I do not believe it was the servers fault. Clearly the allergen menu they provide is not accurate.
Food is excellent and high quality. Staff is friendly and provides great service. Restaurant is very clean, with beautiful stained glass windows in a great neighborhood.
Food was hot and fresh. We had the apple pancake and it was great.
Great food! Waitress didnt remember to fill waters or check on us at all but she was super nice so 🤷🏼♀️ good experience overall!
Love everything about this place. Food, ambiance, and service are top notch.
Breakfast is so good here. So glad its a chain. I have been to a couple different locations and the food is always good! The pancakes are delicious. The pancakes with cinnamon and apples were very good. Probably has 1000 or more calories, though. Who cares when you only get it like once a year. I enjoyed every bite! I will definitely be going back for some more goodness~~
Food is good. Does not cater to lactose and vegan customers (i.e. no almond milk or soy). Atmosphere is outdated.
Will usually come to eat breakfast here every Saturday and Sunday morning there food is delicious the service is excellent I have told friends and family as well we eat here all the time I usually have just had the breakfast I havent tried the other dishes yet but the breakfast is amazing try the banana bread pancakes
One of my favorite places to eat when I visit my sister brother in law and my 2 lovely nieces! Great breakfast choices! Recomend the waffles!
Beautiful place with homey feeling and is family friendly!
The food was good and our waitress was great but it was uncomfortably hot. Everyone at the table was sweaty.
Great food just w little pricey.
Went there for breakfast today. Our waitress took our order, brought the food and never saw her again. Food was ok. Won’t be coming back. I’ll take my money elsewhere.
I go here often and the food is really good - I usually get the french toast and a side of eggs. Really good service and friendly people. Love going here on the weekend.
Favorite place to eat breakfast, while visiting Illinois
Beautiful interior in the greenhouse room. Food is great.
Took 40 minutes to get our food after ordering. Food was ok but for price/service I would go elsewhere.
Always good food and nice service. Glad to be back after 1 1/2 years.
Wonderful as always ☺️. Wish they would open in AZ.
Still a great breakfast experience in a classy setting.
I like the pancakes here! And the match of cream(butter) and pancakes is the best!
Ordered Chipotle Chicken very tasty. perfectly selected ingredients .restaurant clean .good service I advise.
Basted eggs and bacon with buttermilk pancakes. Is the BEST.
Food and enviroment was great. Service was ok. Waiter was kind of high strong. Told us to leave him a cash tip
Great food, nice wait staft
Great food! Amazing wait staff. Very impressed.
Had Bacon pancakes OUTSTANDING!
Really good but super expensive
Nice Sunday breakfast place
Thank goodness for outdoor seating and coffee! The pancakes are so fluffy! Unfortunately, there are so many bees buzzing around, it is difficult to thoroughly enjoy your meal! Try a spinach and cheese omelet...delicious!!
Outstanding food. Great wait persons who work hard to earn their tips. Beautiful Oak wood & stained glass decor. There are 5 fantastic locations. Only 1 negative. Be prepared for a long wait to be seated, which is understandable. I seldom EVER give out 5 stars.
Food was good.....the service imo somewhat lacked.
The absolutely best in the area! I will drive the extra miles for the food and ambiance.
Doesnt have a changing table, but their food is awesome.
Kijafa Cherry Crepes are so delicious.
Great food and service by staff.
Located in Highland Park on Central Avenue a great place for breakfast or lunch. As the name implies, its all about pancakes. What is unusual are the stain glass windows. Very comfortable to have breakfast followed by a good cup of coffee. Bring a newspaper if you are dining alone. You may have to park block or more from the restaurant as parking on Central can be difficult if not impossible at certain times. ENJOY
Classic breakfast, always great food. Social distancing inside and out. A must for breakfast
They have great service and awesome food. The Santa Fe omelet rocks!!
Excellent food
Great food and service.Lots of choices.
I love Walker Bros! They have amazing potato pancakes and always make the food very fast. I go here, and there other locations, with my girlfriend all the time and we always really enjoy our food! Definitely recommend eating here, especially during non-breakfast hours to get your food extremely fast.
This place is fantastic. We are from North Carolina, but if or when we are ever back out there we look very forward to eating there again. Their apple cinnamon pancake is HUGE and absolutely delicious!! They seem to always be pretty crowded, but the lines see to move fairly fast. Our I would plan for a little extra time. Its well worth the wait!
Best coffee in all Northern Bubs ! Family friendly. Very good wheat free pancakes
A Chicago area classic. You cant beat the Apple pancake!!
While I do genuinely appreciate the menu now including calorie counts, it sure highlights how unhealthy the food is. It seems to me that they could reformulate some options to be a bit more healthy, eg a mushroom omelette doesn’t need to be 1100 calories. Good service and variety.
Love this place! Can be a little pricey, but we have a rule of only going once a month, but the food is worth it. The challah French toast is extremely delicious!!
AMAZING TAPAS! Great atmosphere. Lovely staff and delicious food. Come here on a empty stomach and relax, drink coffee and order more food. This place is MADE to experience, not simply to dine.
The food is always fresh and delightful, staff members hands over excellent service. I love the cleanliness and mood. Will visit here again.
A nice place for breakfast with a nice selection of items to choose from plus a fun kids menu.
I grew up eating at this HP staple and now bring my family for breakfast. A really great atmosphere and very good food. Lots of menu options. There will be a line on the weekends but we think its worth the wait.
Tasty breakfast all day kind of place. I am a fool for buckwheat pancakes and these were terrific. Our group had omelettes, crepes, waffles, and french toast all of which were consumed with gusto. I appreciate the calorie information being on the menu, it definitely influenced our choices.
The food and service was great!
Love this place! Can be a little pricey, so me and my girlfriend have a rule of only going once a month, but the food is worth it. The challah French toast is amazing

I love this place 💖! Their food is delicious, my favorite is their crispy crunchy French Toast, omg 😩. Its to die for, I mean its that good 💛💛💛💛💛💛. The staff make you feel at home, and welcomed. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Theyre reasonably priced, and you get a lot for your money. Your time will not be wasted going to Walker Bros. The restaurant is so worth it 💖.
Probably the best pancake house in the North Shore. The food is great, and their apple cinnamon pancake and German pancakes cant be beat. While those two dishes may take longer, they are worth the wait. This place gets very busy during the rush breakfast times, but they generally move things pretty quickly, so its usually not terrible. The service is always very attentive, and the prices are reasonable.
Hands down the best service every time I come. I don’t even care how the food tastes anymore(although it is good). They are fast and friendly... the best wait staff in the highland park area.
Very good food, and not just for breakfast. They have great salads and sandwiches too. They have been around for a long time. The first one was in Wilmette. Now they have quite a few restaurants in Northern Illinois. Grat service. They are very busy for breakfast and especially on the weekends. If you want a great meal that will keep you going most of the day, try it. Especially the omelettes!
I order the Venetian Benedict. I enjoy the Venetian Benedict. Delicious. Here’s my issue. Honeydew. I decide to get the fruit cup with my meal. Big mistake. I should’ve gotten the pancakes. They gave me so much honeydew. I felt like a Amelia Earhart because I was drowning in so much Honeydew. Never again. Overall: 5/5, support your local businesses.
Delicious food and warm, friendly staff. One of our favorite places! Be prepared to wait if you go at peak times, but they are very organized and the hosts do a great job.
This was my first visit to the Highland Park location as I usually frequent the one in Glenview. Had my usual order of the Venetian Benedict with potato pancakes. The food came out very fast, piping hot and fresh. Good, strong coffee rounded out my breakfast. Ill be back whenever Im in the area and in the mood for a proper hearty breakfast.
Food was decent, waiter was subpar and bill was expensive.. We had to retrieve our own silverware when the food came and we never received more syrup or refills because our waiter was no where to be found. The kids plates and drinks seemed to be for a toddler. Omelette was very plain and oven baked. I dont know if thats standard but I prefer a regular pan cooked omelette. The apple cinnamon pancake is the only good thing I can say about this place.
These are my favorite pancakes on the planet. I got the oven baked Denver omlette. On a weekday the place wasnt very crowded and the staff was friendly and helpful. Coffee is really good too! Another favorite is the Dutch baby and German pancake that is light flaky and amazing. Order that early as it takes longer than other items on the menu.
Delicious food. Warm and Welcoming. Great atmosphere. Great service
