I was traveling thru Santa Rosa and my coolant reservoir sprung a leak. After calling two other places and explaining my dire circumstances with no help at all, I called RPM, the owner answered, said he could help, put a rush on the part (not as easy as it sounds) and got me back on the road as fast as they could. Super nice, family owned, professional, knowledgeable about diesels place! I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Im going to start this off by saying that I have a hard time trusting auto shops with all the scandals lately and past events with my previous cars. I always try to do all my own auto maintenance. However, I would have NO PROBLEM taking my vehicle to RPM Auto for ANY type of work.A little backstory...I met one of the owners Brad as he generously donated his services and cool swag to the Northbay Fires Benefit Car Show that I was organizing. I later met the whole family, Fran (Wife, owner/operator) and Jason (son, operator) among others and saw how they ran their business.At a later time, we organized a dyno day with some of the raffle winners of the car show and had a great time! The shop provided breakfast snacks and coffee as well as a great lunch catered by Jimmy Johns (delicious). They constructed a really cool trophy for the winner of the dyno shootout but the most important thing for me was that I developed a great relationship with the owner and we all felt that we could absolutely bring our builds here and trust the quality work and staff.Now bringing it to recent events...Yesterday, I brought my vehicle to the service shop to get some suspension maintenance and an alignment done. Again, Quality staff and service shined! Don, the service manager gave me a ride to work while Marvin (service manager) and Lucas (technician) were tasked with the maintenance itself. all 3 members were very clear with their expectations and communication.I cannot express enough the quality and integrity of this shop and its staff. Maybe now I can let go of my ridiculous auto shop fears. Ill definitely bring my car back here for future work and performance mods. If I could give it more than a 5 star rating, I would.Edit 09/23/19:We held another cool event at RPM and I was having issues with my car. Modern vehicles are very complex machines and Jason offered to take a look at the car and see if anything was going on. He hopped in and plugged in his laptop and found that there were some issues and we had discussed what was going on. Brad (owner), Jason (owner and son) and I popped the hood and took a look around and quickly found that a wiring loom was faulty and had come dislodged. They very generously got it quickly fixed with some new wires and soldered it into place.I CANT THANK THESE GUYS ENOUGH! GREAT PLACE TO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE!!!

Alternator failed on my truck while headed south towards home. Managed to limp my truck to RPM on a Sunday and dropped it in their parking lot with a note in their after hours drop. Monday morning by 8:05 am they called me to discuss. Dealt with John who was very professional and easy to deal with over the phone. The repair was fairly straight forward (R&R alternator), handled in a professional manner, and the truck was washed before I picked it up (added bonus). All in all they did a good job and were pleasant to deal with.

Pretty good, got my corvette tuned here and it was pretty seamless, everyone was nice, I only wish I couldve stayed and watched them run it on the dyno.

Excellent diagnostic experience. Recommended an engine replacement, which was not unexpected. Will use RPM in the future!

They have taken care of all my cars for years. John the service manager went above and beyond to get my parts warrantied and replaced. I would and do tell anyone that needs car repair to go to RPM.

I brought my vehicle in specifically to repair a gas leak and a tune up. After 2 and a half day they said my vehicle is dangerous to drive, there are 2 pages of problems.

I have been going to RPM for years! I discovered them through my aunt and cousin, who has been going to them for even longer. It’s hard finding a business that you can trust, when so many people will try to nickel and dime you. I feel like I can ask them any questions I have and they are always kind and professional. I don’t even live in RP and I make the trip every time :) I recommend them to my friends any time they mention they’re looking for a reliable mechanic. Highly recommend

Took my van for repair, she’s an ‘84 Vandura, kept having the same issue with not starting. RPM’s diagnosis and repair came with great knowledge, they were able to find a one off distributor that needed vacuum and cpu connections. They explained the process thoroughly and were very kind, they should have stickers again soon!

I can not say enough positive things about RPM. They were lifesavers and accurately diagnosed the problems with my 1969 Chevy Truck. My truck is running beautifully. I’m giving one star because I want people to be able to read this.I took my car to RPM for a simple oil change. I saw an ad online that said for 1st-time customers get $10 off. Cool, right ? Not so cool when Oil change costs $60 for a 2006 Nissan Sentra. After taxes I paid close to $60 JUST FOR AN OIL CHANGE.I dropped my car off at 9am and they called me at 2:30 to pick it up. It took them 5 and a half hours to change my oil.AND THATS NOT EVEN WHY IM UPSET WITH RPM !!!I HAVE SUBWOOFERS IN MY TRUNK PLUGGED INTO A 1000w AMP. WHEN I LEFT MY CAR AT 9am, MY STEREO AND BASS FROM THE SUBWOOFERS IN THE TRUNK WERE WORKING PERFECTLY.WHEN I PICKED UP MY CAR AT 2:30pm, I NOTICED MY BASS WASN’T ON. TOTALLY CUT OFF!!! I ANALYZED THE PROBLEM WITH MY NEIGHBOR AND FOUND THAT THE RCA CABLES TO THE AMP WERE TOTALLY TORE UP AND BENT, AS IF SOMEBODY YANKED ON THE CABLE AND FIGURED NOBODY WOULD NOTICE.WELL THANKS ALOT HATERS.I had to buy a new set of RCA cables to replace the Ones they broke off and take my stereo out and redo the wiring.AND NOT TO MENTION!!!!I felt like I was in elementary school again as I went to pay them because the two Typical White Biased Americans behind the desk took turns trying to be funny with my last name. They both chuckled, as if, maybe I should change my last name to Smith THEN MAYBE IT WOULD MAKE LIFE EASIER FOR THEM AND THEIR JOB that obviously takes 5.5 hours to change the oil and have no respect for anybody but their own kind.That’s just my take on it. And this is what REALLY happened to me and my experience with RPM. my first and LAST time I will ever use their “services”. Thanks but no thanks.

On December 28th 2009 I had my then 31 year old full size 4x4 truck towed to R.P.M. where the service writer wrote: Owner stated he was pulling away from a traffic light and heard a snap noise, then pedal went to the floor. He noted a rattle type noise for about a week prior to this happening. (1) Removed clutch cover plate. Found the throwout bearing siezed and spun on input shaft. This may have damaged the release fork & shaft but we cannot determine that until the transmission is removed.Transmission was removed, rear seal was not leaking, clutch was replaced, flywheel resurfaced, clutch fork & linkage repaired. Clearly the service writers reports were both accurate & timely.My truck was in there shop through New Years and ready for pickup the following Monday January 4th. I was o.k. with the amount of time taken to complete the repair relative to my trucks age.New clutch performance was outstanding! Over many years leading up to 2020 I have done business with Rohnert Park Machine ranging from brakes, engine tuning (including Dyno), axle gears, electrical instrument panels, fuel supply & delivery to custom machining. The Techs, Mechanics, Machinists, Service Writers, Supporting Staff and Business Owner are all true Professionals who take automotive service, maintenance and advanced modifications to a much higher level.Thank You!

It is expensive to get your car fixed but, RPM is worth every cent thus far. Marvin did a great job of keeping me informed of what was going on. I have had some really bad experiences with other mechanics when it comes to my Jetta but, RPM treats her better than I do. Great company, great people, so thankful for the quality of work they provide.

RPM automotive aka RPM engines and machine and dynotuning in Rohnert park are all the same business. Their dyno tuning service is terrible. My truck was misfiring so rather than fix it, the tuner simply turned off the P0300 misfire monitor and did not tell me. I could barely make it up a hill going 55 and I have a 4x4 truck with a new rebuilt v6 engine. I was forced to dyno tune my vehicle elsewhere in order to get a refund. In doing so I learned how little had been done to my ECU as well as what had been done wrong. I learned that my vehicle was tuned extremely lien and my vehicle was compensating by trying to throw extra fuel to it. Nothing had been changed for its cam. Shift points and transmission torque were not properly tuned. I originally agreed to pay a flat rate of $750 for a cam and header tune that I was told would be an all day job and then after less than 2.5 hours they were done. The owner said Sometimes I make a lot of money and sometimes I dont. After complaining about how my vehicle drove, I was told by their tuner that he did the best he could on my vehicle and he doubted it would get any better. The owner kept telling me how he would look at the issues I had complained about to better his companies service for future customers. After looking at old reviews I see this is the same line of BS he has told people for years. I do know that after taking my vehicle to a skilled Dyno tuner, it runs better than ever. It has full power and no longer struggles or misfires like it did. This is family owned and operated business. That is usually a good thing, but in this case it feels like mom and dad (the owners) wanted to make sure their son (the tuner) has a job.

For all of you that havent had this experience before, these guys are awesome they basically rebuilt my l20b in my dime and its so much more fun to drive than to sit looking at it in the garage. Very professional staff take a lot of pride in the work they do. I am visiting from Tennessee and was within 2 days of heading home when my 2010 Mustang started going into limp mode. These guys were unbelievable, their concern for my safety that my car would safely get me home 2200 miles away they pulled all stops and got the car immediately in the shop and started diagnosing the problem. Once the issue was located they had parts in route and even sent someone to pick up parts that were an hour away all to get me back on the road.They found an issue with the mass airflow sensor and intake.I also had the car put on their dyno, wow.It’s unbelievable the power and believe me fuel mileage is important when your not use to $4 CA gas. Between the dyno and them locating the intake and mass air flow problems, if your not playing around punching it where it’s fun. I am getting 27 miles to the gallon running the freeway. Around 20 miles per gallon just goofing off. I mean when your pulling that kinda power who cannot help having the need for instant speed. If I lived here in CA full time they would be my go to place for any service my car might need. You locals are very lucky to have this quality service in your back yard. And if your not local trust when I say they will do all they can to help you. Thank you RPM

7.3 Powerstroke diesel owner.Its been difficult to find a competent mechanic that can correctly diagnose and repair engine electronic wizardry..I called and talked to the service manager about the check engine light and the code. After a few minutes I made the decision to have it repaired at RPM and not the dealer. I ordered a couple of maintenance services as well.The job was completed right. I received a through safety inspection report listing all the items that checked out and potential future issues. Post repair the engine runs better, mpg went up and the dreaded check engine light remains dark!I would recommend this shop. I felt like I was treated fairly and honestly. Its very likely that Ill bring my other vehicles here.I am a fan :)Update 8/23/18 - 3rd visit to the shop. I wouldnt change anything that ive said previously here. Highly professional, competent and customer focused.

Brad and his team are very professional. I had a nightmare situation with my vehicle in another shop. I reached out to Brad and explained the situation. Dont waste your time with this shop. The price of parts are significantly inflated in order to warranty their repairs, but when you show up for warranty work, the owner Brad, is rude and arrogant. Bottom line after several attempts to work things out with Brad, which included him swearing at me, he wont return my calls. I took my truck to a specialist who showed me that RPMs work was subpar and did the repairs for a fraction of what RPM was trying to charge me.

Don and his employees at RPM went above and beyond to make sure that I was a completely satisfied customer. I highly recommend that anyone needing work done on their car give RPM a call, you will not be disappointed.
