This is a small, independent neighborhood grocery, the likes of which I thought disappeared in the 1960s. Nice selection of fresh organic produce, Polish deli items, meats, sausages, European breads and pastries, including the only whole grain croissants I have ever encountered - Delicious! Also, a great selection of jams, honeys and pickled veggies. You dont have to be either Amish or Polish to love the assortment of items sold here.
It took over a year and a half for the store to open but its well worth at least a visit. They offer grass fed meats, organic bones for making your own bone broth, dairy items, raw dairy too, and a quick carry out lunch menu. I visit frequently for their grain-free bread. They carry regular homemade breads too. The vegetable area offers farmers market style vegetables at a decent price and other homemade bakery items. The selection is not exhaustive, but carries an authentic Amish feel to the store. I believe its no more than a 700 square feet storefront. I cannot say for sure that all the products in-store are from an Amish farmer, I would guess most of them are. Their policy is to deliver clean food from local farms to the store within 12 hours to assure freshness and offer only the best food available. They source GMO-free, natural food free of pesticides, and other chemicals. The store is managed by non Amish, English + Polish speaking people! In short, this place is amazing, you gotta check it out!
Please do not eat here, this was inside of their perogis, which also taste not bad on top of this.If I had swallowed this I would have some serious scarring inside my intestines.Shows how much they care about their customers.Im so disappointed and upset with the neglect for food safety. Not eating prepared foods from here ever again.
Tried for the first time after moving to the area. Had some sausage, kraut, and potatoes for under $7. Very nice! I will be back.
I love the place. The variety of products is great. All vegetables and fruits are fresh and prices are very reasonable. And the staff very friendly. I recommend it !
Many really natural products.
Havent been there for awhile..Always clean and greeter had sanitized the cart..they also have electric charge stations..
Very interesting. Stopped in briefly as I was walking by. Ill be back.
Amish boys be slangin’ that straight fire. Free range chickens and raw milk be hittin tho; got me feelin’ different. I know these boys be puttin’ in work on they farms when they spinach dark and they Brussels sprouts long. I think they struck a deal with some polish gangmembers too because they money long so you know they doin’ it right.
I love this store! They have fresh duck eggs, fresh farm eggs, a wonderful selection of many kind of milk and cheeses. My favorite thing about this store is the meals they offer. Their cooking is so wonderful! The deli and bakery are also amazing. The baked goods taste like they were made by my grandmother and being back wonderful memories! I highly recommend shopping here!!!
I enjoy the selections they have to offer. Nice and helpful workers as well.
Clean store although no fresh meat or vegetables when visited
This place is wonderful for so many Amish foods! They say all the meat is from the Amish which most likely means “beyond organic”, the highest quality. Their prices for organic foods are very reasonable. Their raw milk, eggs and pastries are delicious. The reason I gave 3 stars is because I bought a red pepper there in January that was labeled organic by the sign. It still had the PLU code sticker still on it. The sticker indicated that it was not organic; I should’ve known better because bell peppers aren’t grown in January in North America by anyone.... even the Amish. They could’ve made an honest mistake, but be sure that you’re buying actual organic foods when the sign says it’s supposed to be organic. One way to do that is to buy foods in season; this place has tons of wonderful produce in the summertime grown organically by the Amish!!
Quality product, in every section... Ill be back for the pierogi for sure. Place wont be good for my wardrobe though.
I used to buy the local grassfed milk and eggs from here. As far as the staff goes, except for one forever rude lady (she is always grumpy), rest two I have interacted with were decent. This is the second time in a row that the milk I bought from here has spoilt 4 to 5 days before the expiry date. Not happy at all.Good collection of flours, honey, jams and breads.I would probably try the Franklin Park store meanwhile as I find other locally sourced grassfed milk.
Wonderful food. Generous portions from their hot meal selection. Their sausages are fantastic too.
Very nice store. Has everything natural and organic, fresh & delicious!
I have been wanting to go here for so long and I finally made it!! I was extremely disappointed!! I was expecting a lot more true Amish items like when I go to Yoders in Shipshewana, Indiana. Many of their fruits and vegetables were spoiled and not grown by them!! Their meat selection is limited and very overpriced!! Many of their items are overpriced. Im willing to spend the money for fresh and homemade Amish quality food. I did buy chicken noodle soup, pierogies, apple butter, fresh green beans, homemade pickles and honey. It wasnt enough for me to want to return.
Definitely one of Illinois hidden little treasures, I Love this market!!! Perfect spot for Lunch, as they have a small buffet. Meats are fresh and bread baked fresh daily! They have fresh herbs, dairy, jams, produce and people are very kind and helpful. Five Stars all the way!
Not safe!!!!!! ALL STAFF, JUST LIKE THE STORE IN FRANKLIN PARK, wears their masks UNDER the nose. Really???? which is the same as not wearing a mask. Just ignorant, inconsiderate slobs. Stay away if you care about your health.
I like everything about this store. Everyone is polite and i like to buy food from there, the chickens are very good, very tasty.
I love this place! Everything is fresh and good. They have so many things you can buy as gifts for people. Everything is wholesome and natural. I like the lunch and dinner option they have with different freshly made dishes. I really enjoy going here. I highly recommend it!
We drive out all the way from Berwyn for their bakery items and fresh fruits and veggies! They have another location but we prefer taking the drive out to this one. Great quality, great people.
Great experience here, even during COVID! They had gloves outside for customers to wear while shopping. Prices were very reasonable as well!
Great place always fresh products, friendly staff.
Since they decided to delete my review on facebook, here it is again.I am totally unsatisfied and would not recommend. Dinners are awful! You can smell and taste oil from the food. Soups are extremely thick and taste like nothing. Pate was dry and hard. My cousin told me to shop there but I will never come back. Dinners before the Christmas holidays were better, I am not sure what happened. Staff is extremely rude and they do not know that they have empty shelves. I do NOT recommend.
Vegetables bad, meet old. What kind of store with bad food?Need to take care about service, rude serviceIf you work in this kind of business you need to understand customer are number one not you your friends and no one care about your personal problemsThanks
Really like some of the prepared foods here, also deli meats, cheeses & sausages. Check it out!
Love the market, its meats and veggies and the friendliness and service
1st time visit today. Got the $5 lunch meal. Chicken was amazing with the habanero mustard, and probly the best sauerkraut Ive ever had! New lunch time spot
Natural options! Excellent
This store is huge mistake I dont go any more to this location. They sell old stinky eggs and meat.
Polish deli crossed with organic foods store. Amazing variety of sausages, pastries, organic meats and vegetables. Duck, quail and free range chicken eggs.Homemade sauerkraut and pickles for sale and a hot food bar!
This place has great food. Prices are spot on for organic farm fresh produce and groceries. The pierogis are amazing and taste authentic. Definitely will be going back.
Like this place. The produce is good, many tasty food options are available, small, but nice. I have returned, even driving past other places to go here.
The staff is incredibly kind and the quality of food is better than Whole Foods in my opinion.
Very clean place with a large variety of amish and organic food. They have a great variety of organic meats like chicken, pork, veal. They also have organic goat milk, raw goat milk, cow milk, amish butter, and cheese. Great variety of honey and jams. Most of all I liked that the price of organic apples is very affordable. Will visit this store again.
Amazing little grocery store.
So delicious!!
They sell old meat without shame and conscience, Half-spoiled vegetables and fruits, I do not recommend buying anything
Im very happy that they opened one more store in the Schaumburg area. The food is amazing and the lady that works there (Adriana), is very very nice person and very very helpful. And all the products are great, Fresh and organic.
Been there a few times.. Try something new each time and have not been disappointed. Their staff is so friendly and helpful.
Fantastic store with healthy food options. Great fresh produce, awesome bakery, fresh Deli & fresh homemade lunch. Worth stopping by!
Disappointed, drove all the way from Elgin to find a note on the door that is closed. I checked the website, and Google before driving there and didnt find any information that it will be closed for Labor Day.
Good people also theirs vegetables
Fresh bread, meats, vegetables, eggs. Organic, gluteen free foods. Worth the trip
Wonderful little grocery store. A real gem!
Food has taste there. I am just going to shop there . Big thank people who work there.
They need extra hands. Had to wait 10 plus minutes to check out
Love it
They sell products that are past date code. I think this is a Polish market with higher prices. Go to Montrose market in Mt. Prospect instead. I doubt their food is really Amish, just old Polish food!
QUALITY FOOD AT REASONABLE PRICE
Clean, friendly, good food, good prices
Youre just not going to find anything better...period. This is the quality of yesteryear...today.
Best foods that are fresh and tasty
Nice Variety, Friendly Staff
Good store
