This is my regular mechanic. Even if I had not known Mr. Tapp growing up, I would genuinely be able to say that the customer service experience here is awesome. Mr. Tapp is an honest, fair and enterprising man. You can get everything done to your car here, from a simple rotor and pads job like mine yesterday, to the fast and furious super car overhaul. Tapps is all that!!!

I actually do not give this shop any stars. I took my car there to have a broken lambo door fixed. They told me that they adjusted it as well as they could and showed me a different way to try and close the door even though it could not be totally fixed and charged me $150. I do not think they actually adjusted the door at all, they just showed me a slightly easier way to shut the door. They told me that the hinge needed to be replaced. They told me to order the new hinge and they could replace it for me. I AM DISABLED AND HANDICAPPED and need the door fixed for me to be able to use my vehicle on a regular basis. I ordered and received the new hinge and made an appointment to drop the car off on Friday afternoon and they would replace the hinge on Saturday. I took my car to the shop on Friday afternoon and they then told me they actually could not do it that weekend and for me to bring it back next Friday. On Thursday, they called me and told me that they had other work to do and asked if I could postpone the work until the following Saturday. I told them I needed the car the following Saturday and asked if it could be done during the week. They told me that they would talk to the repair guy and call me to let me know what day he could do it. I got no call for over 2 days. I then went to the shop and talked, again, to Damian personally. I told him that I could get the work done on Saturday if that was the only time they could do it. He told me that the repair was was due in at any minute and he would call me shortly with a day to schedule the work. AGAIN, Damian did not call me. He is putting me off again knowing that I need this repair very badly as my door does not shut correctly. Well, the weekend came and passed so I went to a different shop and got the work done for the same price, but I got it done, actually, within the same day. I would not recommend or go to TAPPS Collision at all. Very disappointed that Damian kept putting me off.

CON ARTIST /SCAMMERS/THEIVES!!!! DO NOT take your vehicle here. He gives false pricing, do half done work and returns your vehicle in worst shape than when you brought it in. In my case he NEVER returned my car! Im going to court now because of this!!! He REFUSES to fix or return my car and constantly ducking me out! His wife is part of the scheme dont be fooled by the family or local business environment. This has cost me so much money and time with all the legal hoops to jump through just for someone to do the right thing SMDH

We had our 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS towed to the shop due to overheating and shutting off on 5/19/2015. The owner was informed of the issue that evening before it was taken there. His assistant called the following day and quoted a price of $434; repairs to include basic tune up, valve cover and gasket replacement, and oil change. We then asked about the overheating again (main issue), we were told he would check on that and get back. Never heard back, we called the next day and was told that the AC fan was the culprit added up to 520 now. Also, a clamp on coolant hose was fixed (on him/no charge). 5/27/2015 my sister picked up the car, owner told her the valve cover they purchased was the wrong size, correct size would be in on 5/28/2015 she could take the car (because it was working now) and bring it back after work next day to have it put on. She opted to do so. 10 mins later she noticed anti freeze leaking she took the car back, the shop owner looked at it said it must be the coolant moving through the engine now that its being driven,he stated it hadnt been driven since the repairs.(So no test drive). On 5/28/15 approx 7:30am the car overheated again and had coolant pouring out. She parked the car, hitched to work. I called him, explained again it was still overheating, asked him to explain what repairs he made to the car to fix this issue. He stated that none of the most repairs related to the overheating except ac fan. He rushed me off the phone stating that he would talk to my dad when he got there. I had to ask him twice to fax me the receipt. Finally got the receipt, called Hyundai dealer to verify prices of the parts he charged, several discrepancies.54.37 for a gasket which the dealer quoted 13.11. 85 dollars for the valve cover which was not put on the car they went and got a used (junkyard part). 96 dollars for ac fan assembly which was 79.99.He called my dad and told him we could come get the car this evening, they found a pin needle sized hole in hose (the one he claimed to have fixed for free). We had it towed this morning again 50 more dollars. My dad asked him not to touch the car until he could come in to see it on 5/29 in the am. I went there after worn today, talked to a tech that was working on the car he had just replaced the hose with a new one after we asked them to not touch it until morning. The old hose he showed me had a gash in it approx 1.5inches not a pin needle sized hole as Damien told my dad. Another lie.I waited for him to come back after 15mins he came in and showed me the issues he fixed, the valve cover and gasket was laying outside the car not fixed still. He stated that the thermostat needs repair which is causing the overheating, I asked him why all other issues (listed above) were repaired but not the actual problem causing the car to overheat and cut off. He jumped around the question. Why was that not diagnosed before you fixed unnecessary issues? I showed him his receipt and question the discrepancies in pricing of parts. He got loud and rude, insulted me told me he did not have time to talk to me, I think I know everything, do not come back to the shop, send my dad or sister, in front of his workers and customers.Threatened to call the police if I came back. His girlfriend came over to diffuse the situation, I explained my frustrations she fully sympathized, and went back to speak with him. She came back out and apologized and said she would pay for the thermostat repair. I appreciated her effort but his customer service was unacceptable and this is not her issue. He raked up charges for our car, did not fix the problem, and had the audacity to be nasty about it as if he lost 520 dollars in repairs and 135 in towing expense. He also lied and told me that they test drove the car several times, but told my sister they didnt. She paid him $520.00 cash, the car is still there until further notice. He cant provide any proof of purchases or old parts taken off the car. He ripped us off!
