I’ve taken my two cars here multiple times..More than half the times I have had issues with the repairs, new brakes? Who’s installing them?I just paid $75 for a ride to work and now at another Mavis location trying to get it fixed..no assistance with a tow!!!I’m basically on my own..so will you be..go anywhere but this place..I will never drop another dollar no where near this place..

I honestly thought today was going to be a terrible day, caught a nail in rear tire on the way to work. I just so happened to be near this Mavis so I pulled into the parking lot expecting for this to take forever and completely derail my day. Lucky for me there was someone willing and able to go above and beyond to get me back on the road as fast as possible. Thanks to Salim I was only 3 mins late instead of the 30 i anticipated and it changed the trajectory of my day. If you have an issue with a tire and you can make it to this location ask for Salim, he will do what he can and that was more than enough for me today. Thanks again buddy.

In the midst of a pandemic when materials of all kinds are just hard to come by, tires are no exception so you can imagine my frustration when it took almost a week for my special order tire to come in. Robin Gonzales from Mavis in the Roselle Park location was very understanding of my frustration, he was kind & courteous with me as I called him every day and even every few hours on one day! Once the tire came in, he was able to get me in and out within an hour and even called my insurance company to start a claim for me, he is personable and professional! I recently moved back to this area after having lived away for a few years and Im glad that now Ive found a place I can take my car to for reliable and professional customer service, thank you Robin!

Terrible experience.I rescheduled my appointment on next day, over the phone. Because guys was really busy.So I went next day to this place, they didn’t put my appointment in system…Ok, no problem, stuff happened.I ask guys can you do my car as soonest u can. They said ok, no problem.15, 30, 45 minutes later I still waiting so I went inside. Guys how much longer?One hour more.Come on…Terrible customer service.

I had something hanging from underneath my car and I took it to this shop and the service rep by the name of Salim fixed it for me in as little as ten minutes, free of charge. Salim is a wonderful employee. I will definitely come back to this very shop.

Called saturday afternoon to ask if they have the SPECIFIC tire for my car. 225/40/18. The guy i spoke to said they have it and asked me how many i need. I said only 1. Set an appointment the following day for 11 am. I came at 10 am to make sure i am early for the appointment. I spoke to the front desk guy/manager and i told him i have an appointment at 11 am. The guys in the front desk said they dont follow the appointment time due to short of mechanics. I told him no problem. I can wait. Waited patiently for 2 hours. Went and got a soda from the soda machine. Front desk guy also the manager said my car is next in line. I told him great and please make sure its the tire i asked for. He said yes. Another hour has passed. Finally it was my cars turn to be checked. Mechanic parked my car by the bay. Jacked the side where the tire needs to be replaced. He went and check the order paper and went to get my tire. He was there for almost 15 minutes looking for the tire. I was having a bad feeling the tire is not there. I spoke to the front desk/ manager again to help the guy locate the tire. He went and checked with the mechanic and did not find the tire. He called me inside the office because i was outside. He told me that the tire was NOT there and is in pending order. WHAT A BS issue! I told the manager that i waited for 3 hours. I was told it was available. Right away the manager is excusing himself from the responsibility. That it was not his fault. That maybe the guy i spoke to made a mistake about the size. THE GUY I SPOKE REPEATED TO ME THE SIZE OF THE TIRE I WAS LOOKING FOR when i was talking to him.( review your saved call data for confirmation.) I told the manager that i waited for 3 hours for nothing and right away he stated it wasnt his fault. Maybe not but he could have checked if the tire ordered was there in the first place. I asked for a number for who ever is above him but he did not give it to me because he said they will be blanked on what happened. Instead he told me to call customer service. Lost TRUST and CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP GONE!

Horrible place. They take for ever for a simple oil change and to top it off they didnt screw the panel back and its falling off... When I called to asked them if they can fix it the first guy said okay give a minute n hung up and the next one dismissed me n was very rude... Never again dealing with this place a bunch of immature people. Poor customer service

I would have given this place 5 stars. However, when I drove my car away, I noticed that my hood open indicator was going off. This never happened in my many years of owning this car. when I called, I was given to the Assist Services Manager. This is when my 5-star experience went to below a 1. He was far more concerned that they did not break the latch vs helping me to get it fixed. I explained to him that due to the latch indicator going off- it was setting my car alarm off over and over. So, I could not lock my car. The best he was willing to do was see it a week from today. Even after telling him my car was unsecure and it happened after they worked on it. I even asked for a price of the fix - he would not provide that ether. I was so upset I called a second time and tied to explain again that I really do need to have this looked at asap. He continued to tell me that they didnt do it (Honestly not prompted) I was simply saying that it occurred there, so lest they could do was look at it sooner than a week from now. I will never take my car back here. Shame because everyone else I delt with seemed great. I want to be clear I never leave reviews - this was such a frustrating experience I felt I needed to share.

I got my car towed to this location on Wednesday 7/13/21 they still have my car. No one is calling me telling me anything, their fixing things they dont need fixing . It was a simple electrical problem the guy gave me a whole new starter and charged me over 400 dollars . Then (oh yeah) its something else ELECTRICAL 🤦‍♀️. The man Danny lied to me said I had to purchase my parts from only them when the mechanic told me I could buy my parts. Theres a bunch of lies going on there running me up a bill and I still dont have my car . Very unprofessional and s am artist

Please do not go here! They will damage your car! Came here on a Saturday morning to replace a tire for my brand new Sienna AWD. The technician damage my car with the high jack. He did not high jack the entire car, instead he only lift the front part up. He made a big scratch with the high jack. Brought the car to the body shop for an estimate and was given an estimate of $700. Unbelievable! This is suppose to be a professional tire shop and they don’t even know how to replace a tire.

I came to get my tires changed and one of the employees, Mackenley, changed them very quick and with efficiency. Very calm and nice person and did the job well to make sure my tires were secure.

They Upsell like no place I’ve ever seen. Always you need wipers($40)… car has more than 30,000 miles they tell you you need brake fluid flush… they billed for a tire rotation that was supposed to be free with coupon… had the $109 break special with coupon.. they automatically tell you you need rotors… I said show me… they couldn’t justify rotor replacement… overall, by calling them on their upselling BS… bill went from $490 to $190… breaks.. oil change.. flat fix and tire rotation that was suppose to be free..Unethical personnel working.. if you do need Mavis.. go to Rte22 in Union

Mavis discount tire Roselle Park for the win!! Thanks to their very helpful employee Salim H. a frustrating disaster of a blown out tire as we were taking our son to camp was quickly repaired with a smile and reassurance of our familys safety. Cant thank Salim enough for his professionalism and quick service.

This was my first visit to Mavis Discount Tire recommended by my neighbor. I must say the staff was customer friendly especially Salim the first impression team I met as I entered the building. They team delivered what I was expecting from them, good service. Salim went through each tire price, not pressuring me into buying any particular tire which I was happy about, but rather work with me for what suits me. The wait time was shorter than expected. With that I must say I would highly recommend this location.

Told me the price would be $91 with everything included. Took my car there & when I went to pick it up, they charged me a different price and had no recollection of me calling and getting quoted. Prices are way better at Union Mavis on Route 22

They answered all my questions without making me feel stupid. Id had to give kudos to all three as it was wonderful seeing them all work together to benefit me the customer. I’ve had several visits to the Roselle Park Mavis Tire location over the past year or two. I could not say more positive things about the team. Several times I had to alter appointments or make special requests and the team was eager to help assist me. Today Salim was able to help get me in for service after experiencing issues with my TPM. His friendly and patient demeanor made the visit pleasant. I will certainly be back when needed. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were returning to Cranford NJ where we were staying while visiting with my mother in Brooklyn NY. It was a very rainy night and there was an accident on the Belt Parkway and we took the city streets to get around the accident, when we returned to the Belt Parkway we were on the Staten Island Expressway and our left rear tire warning light went on showing 25 pounds, by luck we made it back into NJ with 20 pounds in the tire and found a speedway gas station and was able to put 40 pounds in the tire. We returned to the hotel and made a 12pm reservation online at Mavis at their Roselle NJ store. In the morning the tire was flat. I changed the tire for the spare donut and found the screw that had punctured the tire, and drove to Mavis. The front desk employee was excellent, he took care of me very quickly, and had the car and tire evaluated by the technician within 5 minutes of my appointment. My car had the exact same new tire and was back on the road within 50 minutes. Everyone at this Mavis Tire store was very wonderful and professional, and I would highly recommend this store location to all. 5 stars for a job excellently done!!

Been taking my vehicle there for years always an excellent experience. The team there is always always professional and courteous.

The staff was professional and work on the car was excellent. I even received a follow up call to make sure everything was running smoothly.

Very nice and helpful. When I first got there they told me they were running behind, but my car was still serviced very quickly. They also did not try to up sell or lie which was absolutely appreciated. My ONLY comment is that the waiting area has tires on display so the entire area smells like tires (and so did I by the time I left 😖!). Trustworthy and nice!

Worse service ever. Made an appointment to have a tire changed. Got there and they told me it couldn’t be done that day. Gave me an appointment the next day and told me it would be 45 minutes in and out. I get there the next day only to be told it will take 3 hours to change one tire. When I ask why the confusion the only answer the manager could give me is “I don’t know.” Worse service ever.

Poor service, I made an appointment online on 07/24 to change some tires on Sunday 09/27, 9am at their Roselle Park 07204 shop.Got the confirmation online, so I was good to go, at least I thought I was.I went to the shop this morning to find out that my tires were not here because the truck does not deliver on Sunday....... I made the appointment online 3 days ago....At least a courtesy call would have been appreciated.I have another apt tomorrow for another car, but they now have lost my business, Id rather wait and go somewhere else.

2020 update. I removed a star because on my subsequent visits to change brakes I keep hearing a metal to metal noise. I took the Vehicle twice to be checked and was told there was nothing wrong. I ended up taking it to another mechanic which told me the reason for the noise was because they use cheap brakes. The new shop replace the cheap brakes with better ones and the noise is obviously gone.

I went in for help putting the bulb in my Chevy Equinox for my headlight and a brake light. The mechanic was a Sweetheart and did it quickly although my car is stubborn at times when replacing parts. I tipped him and was pleased. Thanks again Mavis Discount Tires!!

I had a good experienced. I booked online same day service. I went in and within 3 mins my car was taken in. In less than 10 minutes the associate gave me the results of the evaluation and explained my options. I was theree less than 1.5 hours. The associate kept me informed. I was satisfy

The service itself is fine but they are literally thieves. They tried to charge me $60 for an air filter and I knew that didn’t sound right so i went to valvoline and it was less than half the price. Also tried to tell my friend that she needed new brakes for $300+ and she went to get a second opinion and turns out, she didn’t even need new brakes at all. They definitely try to take advantage of young women who don’t know much about cars, told me one price over the phone for my brakes and then gave me a totally different one in the store, which I obviously had to pay anyway because the job was already done.

I had a great experience, at this Mavis tire store, everyone was very nice in person and on the phone, tire prices are reasonable, and the service people are very knowledgeable. All in all, my husband and i had a great experience. We will be doing business with Mavis again. Thanks Mavis you rock!!!

I picked up a nail. I have been using this store since well before it changed over to Mavis and they are always great! Went straight to Mavis again. CJ was amazing. It was busy and he was working seemingly alone, but he had my completely flat tire patched and ready to go and my spare replaced in less than an hour. Love this place! A nail in my tire forced me to visit Mavis Discount in Roselle Park today. Kevin was very friendly and helped me get set up quickly. The prices were reasonable and I was informed of everything going on with my car. My hectic morning dilemma was turned around thanks to Kevin and Josue. I was able to continue with my day as if a flat tire never happened. I passed many tire shops and Im glad I did!

It went without a hitch. Told them what I needed and everything went smooth from the drop off to the call telling me what I needed done to the car repair to the pickup. Great experience.

Way to much to say

They told me everything about the tires I bought but I was willing to buy a more expensive tire. My dealer didnt even tell me how low my brakes were but Mavis did. I only went in for tires. Great crew from the desk to the shop. Manager was very helpful. He pushed to get me in the shop even though I got there after one oclock and the place was busy !

Mavis is a place that I always go to for my car needs. Yesterday I received an oil change and rear shocks. The turnaround time was less than expected. The guys in there are always friendly and gives me the best solution and best price. Thanks Mavis.

Great, service and prices.. i went to pepboys before i came here. Pepboys wanted $400 and mavis price was $230.. big difference for the same job. I was so happy with the price i purchased 2 new tires right away as well.

Terrible service made online appointment on Sunday and online told work would take three hours at most. Drove half hour out of way to be told mechanic not even in till Tuesday?! I guess curtesy calls to customers are to much to ask.
