They even used a nice drone with a camera to show us before and after videos and pictures to make sure we were completely satisfied. The owner walked me through the process, knew exactly how to deal with the insurance company to move the claim forward and kept me in the loop every step of the way. The crew showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up and replaced the roof in a timely matter. We now have a beautiful, new roof and will use them again for any work needed in our home.

Mackey General Contractors did an outstanding job for us. Our roof was damaged by a tornado in June. They were able to diagnose the roof leak problem and repair it. They repaired and restored our ceiling as well.One of the biggest advantages in working with them was the way in which they assisted in navigating through two inspections by insurance adjustors. Robert, Brandon, and Mike are responsive and very helpful. They are a local family business and we appreciate all of their work on our behalf.

I had leakage in my basement in Nov 2019. To fix the basement, I had called one certified plumber. To get the basement job, he said that he will do all the work. Then, he took out all the flooring from the basement. after fixing leakage, he took a large amount of money. Because we were new to town and the first time we buy the house. He made me fool that I have to pay all the money upfront, later insurance will pay me back. I paid the money after that he doesnt pick up my calls. if I ask him for papers work he doesnt even provide that. After months of fight with my insurance told me to hire a general contractor. I started the search for a contract, after a long search, I have found Mackey General Contractor. I called them for an estimate they came and explained the whole situation. I hired them as my contractor. They fought with my insurance because my insurance doesnt want to pay for many things which were important for the basement. They talked with more than five calm adjusters. In the end, my insurance agreed with the contractor for the work. My insurance claim got approved and the contractor has started the work and finished in the week. Mackey General contractor is an awesome contractor. My bad luck that I couldnt found them before. They have done an awesome job in the basement. I recommend other people that if you want quality work, please contact Mackey’s general contractor.

I am so grateful for Mackey Construction. The crew was wonderful and returned my home to it’s original beauty after ice damage from the February winter. They were responsive to all of my questions and requests. As far as I am concerned, this family owned company is the only contractor that I would ever use. The condo unit above mine had a pipe burst during a cold weather snap that destroyed my kitchen ceiling, soffitt and a few light fixtures. The owner of the unit was out of the country at the time and I wasnt sure where to start. After such a great job on our upstairs remodel project, we had Mackey General Contractors do a large scale addition of a screened in porch, new patio, and some modifications/upgrades to a second structure (hot tub room) on the back of our house. It involved a lot of twists and turns, many challenges to overcome throughout the project due to ours being an older home but MGC were able to handle every obstacle that was presented and did excellent in coordinating all of the various professionals that needed to be part of the project (architect, electrician, cement laying, landscapers to lay some sod, etc.). We are in love with our new outdoor space!

I would hire Mackey General Contractors to do work on my townhouse again hands down, no questions asked! We had extensive water damage that started in our master bathroom on the second floor and leaked down thru the drywall into the kitchen on the first floor. We were very happy and satisfied with Mackey General Contractors. They were very efficient. They made a very unpleasant situation easy. We had a broken sewer line that damaged our finished basement. They took care of everything from the insurance, to the mitigation crew, to all the contractors to make all the repairs. They covered areas that were not damaged to protect them from dust or scratches. They even had a cleaning crew to clean up after completion. We would highly recommend them for any of your remodeling needs. Definitely 5 stars!!

I highly recommend Mackey General Contractors and will be eager to call them the next time we have a project! We have a U-shaped ranch in Bloomingdale that is lovely but needs some upgrades. Our master bedroom had brown stucco walls from the previous owner which were not our style. It also had windows that were literally falling apart. We kept putting off getting the room done because it seemed like a hassle. Working with Robert and Brandon made it seem easy and they transformed our bedroom into the clean modern look we wanted with new walls, trim, paint, and windows. Our only regret was putting the project off for so long, and now that we have found the best contractor in the area we won’t do that again.

I’m glad I was referred to Mackey. I had a leak in my dining room ceiling. My bathroom above the dining room needed to be torn out to fix the issue. So had a hole in my dining room ceiling and a hole in my bathroom floor 30 days into my new home. Didn’t even make my first mortgage payment. Robert came in day one to to do the estimate for insurance. He was very polite and walked me through the whole process. He calmed me down and said everything will be fine. Next Brandon and Mike come to do the reconstruction. Again they calmed me down and explained everything. They explained everything as if i was at a 3 star michelin restaurant explaining everything on my plate. They would answer all of the many questions i asked. I work from home due to covid19. And during my video meetings they would keep things down or even step out until i was done. I mean really catered to me. They did a lot of extra work for me that was not on the estimate. They went above and beyond. During the whole process robert was in contact with my adjuster so i didnt have to worry. However once the work was completed my adjuster approved half the estimate. Initially they approved the whole estimate. So this blew my mind that my insurance company did a bait and switch. Im coming out of pocket i thought. But nope mackey negotiated with my insurance company and got them to approve it. Mackey will work for you. They treat you like family. My house looks better than before the damage. Mackey is the only contractor that will step foot in my house. Mackey is the only contractor i will recommend. Again I got the michelin 3 star service from them. Save yourself time, money and stress. Go with mackey.

Robert, the owner of this company cares about his customers and their feelings about the work done. He personally visited the job before and after completion, and called in between just to check on our satisfaction level. Dave and Frank are multi-talented, trustworthy guys who not only made my vision come to life, but exceeded my expectations. They treated my home like it was their own and although I was glad the job was done, I was equally as sorry to see them leave. My only regret is that I hadnt found them sooner, because all companies I met before I hired this one were a complete and utter waste of time.

This is the second time Mackey General Contractors has performed work on my house. Its too bad I cant give 6 stars, because in both instances, both the repairs and the whole process were deserving of 110%. Not only are Robert and Brandon extremely knowledgeable, but they are very patient, professional, prompt, and dedicated to nothing less than quality work. For one of the jobs, Robert did a stellar job working out a long drawn-out settlement with my VERY stubborn insurance company. My insurance company initially denied 95% of the roof wind/hail damage, but over the next few months, Robert chipped away at the insurance companys excuses by using both actual evidence (from pictures he took) and by using legally-derived arguments from actual case law. Finally the insurance company buckled, and they agreed to replace the entire roof. What a feat! I look forward to doing business with Mackey General Contractors in the future.

John and Brandon have helped me with numerous projects in my house and all have turned out great! They think of creative solutions to problems and work to make the projects a reasonable price without jeopardizing quality!!

MGC installed a new concrete driveway at my house. They were on time, communicative, and fast. Their price was competitive, and I couldnt be happier with the end-result. This is not hyperbole! I do not like hyperbole, and the internet is fraught with hyperbole. MGC took such good care of us that Im considering using them for all my home projects. The driveway looks pristine, and was completed so quickly that one of my neighbors got it done as well (and this is a family with whom Ive never met). I had some tricky requests involving one of my gutters, and MGC improved on the vision I had. Its nice to work with professionals.

Brandon kept me informed throughout every step of the process, and his attention to detail and dedication to completing a quality job is much appreciated. He found a couple other items that needed to be resolved, which I wasnt previously aware of; if he had not discovered and repaired them, it would have caused future damage and expenses for me. Earlier in the year, we suffered roof damage - but once we fixed the main problem, we were left with a water-damaged kitchen in terrible condition. Our ceiling and multiple walls needed to be completely redone and replaced. We worked on it with family members for a while - but were left hanging with SEVERAL other local contractors that no call no show-ed on us, making the job incredibly difficult to complete (were not professionals, so we could only do so much).When Mackey Contracting arrived, they were able to promptly address our issues, plainly explaining what we needed to accomplish to get the job wrapped up. They arrived on-time and without any scheduling issues with ample equipment. The work was above average and exceptional for the price-point, as we were getting quotes from independent (and uncertified) handymen that were more expensive. After just a couple days, our project that initially was taking months was near complete. They worked fast, thoroughly and were a pleasure to communicate with - taking a lot of pressure off of our shoulders. We can finally use our kitchen again!
