This store has a great selection of beads and gems. I particularly prefer this store because of the unique shapes of some of the gems and beads. I recently relocated to Tampa and cannot find anything that nearly compares to this store and will probably forever be a Customer, I still order online. I will say that some of the items more specifically the tools, clasps, and pendants are highly over priced and can be found cheaper at Walmart or Michaels.

I make and sell Jewelry on FB and was looking into a local class to take to get some new ideas.I found the Bead and Crystal and was so happy I did. I couldnt fit one of their group classes into my schedule that week, but they also offer private classes. From beginning to end they were so helpful. The class lasted about an hour and a half. I learned many new techniques and they let me stay and continue working in the classroom after. The class cost me $30.00, well worth it! Will definitely be going back. Cant remember his name but the teacher was very helpful and kind.

I have been shopping here a long time, and i have never had a bad experience. The staff is very intuitive and helpful...whenever i have had a problem or a question they have ALWAYS been happy to answer. They give many good suggestions, and always encourage the best solution for my problem. The variety of supplies and beads is extremely wide and great quality. The owner is always bringing in new products, and is very prolific with bringing in the newest trends. Also, the classes there are great, and the teachers are so helpful and fun! Definitely a must go to shop for all beaders!

Now I love this store!Recently moved from San Diego, and I always need to find a bead store when I move to a new area. I make and sell jewelry using a lot of stones and unique finishing pieces so I love that they have a ton to choose from. I try to use as much of the nicer gemstones in my pieces as I can and I was drooling looking through the cases at all the faceted goodies! I was hoping to see more ruby as there were only a few strands, but talking with the nice owner she assured me ruby was on her list for her next buying trip, yay! They seem to have everything you would need, but Im happiest because of the stones. Ill definitely be back for more!

This is a great bead store. Theres a huge selection at decent prices. The staff is very knowledgeable and they were extremely friendly and helpful. I went in trying to find a match for some blue topaz stones and found a great substitute plus a few more items I couldnt live without. ;) Ill definitely continue shopping here.

The selection and quality of the products such as beads, charms, Swarovski crystals, beautiful natural gemstones, wire, chain, findings and so much more as far as jewelry supplies are unbeatable and well organized, no where have I seen a selection like theirs. They have trunk shows from time to time where larger selections of silver items, crystals and more are brought in for a a little while that offer amazing opportunities to find the kinds of things at great prices that are typically difficult to find. If they dont have something in stock they do what they can to get what you are looking for. Thats just about their jewelry supplies, they have great customer service, always willing to help you find what you need and give advice on any questions. They teach classes at all levels from beginners to advanced of various types of jewelry making such as beadwork, wire work and working with solid metals and soldering. I believe they also host and teach groups for things like childrens birthday parties, it would be a great and fun team building experience for companies who do that kind of thing with their employees! Im excited about the new changes theyve made in their stock, they now offer a wide variety of beautiful natural crystals and stones that are absolutely stunning and available in various forms from very small to extremely large, theres one amethyst geode that is taller than I am. The selection available is remarkable and some of the most unique Ive ever seen! They also now offer Tarot card readings at the shop as well as selling the cards. By far my favorite shop for all of the above! If youre new to any kind of jewelry making or want to learn how, this is the place to go and if you already have experience I guarentee they will have something new to try and the kind of unique pieces that are perfect for sparking new ideas. Wow - I have been beading for many years and I have bought from local shops and the internet. I have to say that this store is amazing! From the vast array of inventory to the absolutely adorable staff!! Esther the owner greeted me at the door and walked and spoke to me all the way back to the Seed Bead room. I have a very hard time walking and my husband had told her this before in one of his trips to this store and Esther remembered this and allowed me to use her personal chair to Scoot around the store to shop.She was the epitome of customer service. The store was busy and she still took time to assist me as well as staying on top of all the other customers. People have said that her prices are a bit high, but they are right in line with internet prices for her delica beads. It is very difficult to find these specific beads in town and to have this amazing selection literally at my finger tips is simply awesome!The Bead Shoppe has an untouchable selection of Japanese Seed Beads at unbelievably low prices! We have made several projects with these specific beads and they are incredible our customers have loved every piece of jewelry we have created with these beads.The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and down right adorable! I love this place!

Charges $1.35 for an item that sells for ten cents on Etsy folks! Way overpriced. She charges for her charms and beads individually when on ebay, Etsy, or even online stores will sell you those charms and beads that amount for 6-12 of them depending on size etc.!Also, could not help overhearing owner purchase jewelry that she was told contained nickel. She cut him off, didnt care, just said, Ill buy it all. So BEWARE selling any of your handmade jewelry made from her stuff to your customers. Warn them of possible nickel allergen.I asked what alloys were in what I was looking at and she would not answer. She did this to me THREE times! Just pretended not to hear and got busy with someone else. Three times?Shady and highway robbery!Please dont shop there.

Ive had good and bad experiences over the many years this store has been here. The owner is often aloof but this depends on if you got her on a good day as are some of her employees. The items are highly overpriced. Check ebay or etsy. There are many local sellers in this area who sell on both internet venues. Just search under the city or general locale. Personally I like FindingYourElement on etsy. She has a nice selection of vintage brass components and she is located in Roseville. Also Beadwyfe on etsy sells vintage glass but I believe she is back on the East Coast. A few others are in the Bay Area but oftentimes their prices are high but gorgeous! I almost forgot to mention, the Bead Gallery near 65 at Stanford Ranch is nice. Smaller selection but the gals there are REALLY nice! Good luck!
