The staff is fantastic and accommodating. I took my daughter with me, and the staff was patient with her wanting to touch everything. They have tons of excellent equipment, classes, and even rental equipment.

My new favorite store- was greeted by a very nice guy and was helped by an even nicer and very informative girl. She helped me find the right set of products right away and ordered the last products they didn’t happen to have in stock before I left the store. Came in with a broken lens. After inspecting it we concluded it would need to go to the manufacturer for repair but wouldn’t be worth the cost. Although the lens wasn’t in their inventory, the gentlemen helping me went in the back and found a camera/lens combo that had the same lens and sold the lens to me separate for way under normal cost, nearly half of new price (B&H pricing). I was very happy with that type of customer service. I’m eager to return to this store.Thanks dude! Very appreciated!

Terrible customer service, they are nice when you spend money with them but try to take as much money away from you when you returnBought a lens for 1500 and I lost the plastic covering over the lens that was in the box and the box was scuffed up before I got us and they took away 200$ just for thatWould not recommend this place to anyone

Fantastic local camera and video business that has been around for 30+ years. I have a video shoot that came up through my business this week that I needed extra equipment for. I got zero help from BestBuy, Walmart, Target, all of the big stores in our area, lots of waiting on the phone and automated systems. Pete and Blair were very patient with me at Action Camera, they have an excellent selection of equipment that can be browsed online or in store. I even had to step out for 30-minutes for a virtual meeting and when I came back they resumed exactly where I left off in the ordering process. Solid customer service, great selection of video and camera equipment, and fun store environment to look around. If you are on the fence of whether you want to buy your gear from a big name store or locally, get it at Action Camera. Not only do you speak to an actual person who genuinely cares, they actually use the equipment they sell and have portfolios to show for it.

Best camera store in the Sacramento and Roseville Area with the most amazing staff! This store offers everything a photographer or photography enthusiastic needs to capture beautiful photos. Action Camera has rentals, so if you are not sure which camera and/or lens you want to buy you can always rent them first. Their rental prices are reasonable. This store also offers multiple classes through out the year, so take advantage of them they are very informative. They do a great job with sensor cleaning, so if you are not sure how to do it bring to them. I’ve been coming to Action for almost 3 years and I have learned so much about photography because of them. It was an hours drive for me to go to Action but it was absolutely worth it. A really nice store with great merchandise. The staff helped me with an issue with my camera even though I didnt buy it there. If I lived closer I would take some of the classes they offer. When Im ready to buy a new camera I will certainly go there to purchase.

The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The first time I came they gave me a tour of the place and spent a good amount of time answering questions for me. I have rented equipment from them twice and they make it so easy to pick up and return and I know that I can always come in a get help if I need it.

The staff at his store all are attentive and ask very good questions about what you are are looking for. Lastly, there are certainly no high pressure sales tactics. Ive bought several lenses from here and have taken a class as well. I will keep coming back!

The camera shop is sadly a dying breed, but Action maintains its relevancy by providing excellent service and fairly competitive prices, especially given the helpful and knowledgeable staff. Their new digs in the shopping center have allowed them to display an even greater variety of photo equipment, but still not as cramped feeling as the old store. They also offer other amenities, like a studio rental, for photographers that dont have the space and/or equipment for doing that sort of photo shoot.

No pressure sales people, all very friendly and helpful. Preston was very patient and friendly when I was testing out multiple lenses.

Action Camera is hands down my favorite place to pick up my camera gear. The selection is amazing and the staff is one of the biggest reasons that I shop here. Came in today seeking guidance on a new lens purchase after an internet buy that did not go well. Nice camera store!I live in Redding, but on a recent trip down to Sacramento I stopped in here. I needed to replace 3 lens caps. One of them is very difficult to find even online, but the store said they would look into getting it for me. Apparently the number I gave them didnt work, as I never received a call. Then today I received an email from Dylan, who said theyd managed to track down my email address, just to let me know that they had gotten in the lens cap I needed. Ill be picking it up on my next trip down. Wonderful customer service!

These people obviously have a passion for what they do, and they put that passion above their need to sell, and to me that spells integrity and professionalism. I count on them to give me straight advice and always have what I need. And you would never guess this, but their prices are usually better than the high-rent mall stores and the big-box electronics stores.
