Purchased a Tagima t635 off their website. Guitar was shipped same day and arrived at my place in 2 business days. Item was very well packaged to insure the guitar wasnt damaged in any way. Condition was exactly as described, and it plays excellent. Very impressed with these cheaper S body Tagimas for what they cost! This location had the best deal I could find on said guitar for the condition it was in. Wouldnt hesitate to do business again.

We have come to this specific store only a few times over the last 5 or 6 years, but weve always had great customer service and come away with instruments that are great quality. Just went in today and Hunter helped us pick out a keyboard for our son. He was helpful, giving lots of information, but not pushy. He matched a lower price I saw at another store as I was reading reviews and he was very friendly. Thanks!

The review from two days ago says their bag contents were worth more than anything at this store. Right now, the first thing in their online listings is a $15k vintage Gibson guitar. I know being asked to leave your bag up front at a store can be hurtful in the moment, but its a pretty common policy and likely wasnt the idea of the people who asked the previous reviewer. Note that that is one of the only one star reviews of this place, and its for having a common policy. If the contents of your bookbag are really worth more than $15k, maybe dont walk around to stores you are unfamiliar with carrying that, since you cant walk around our store with a bookbag is a very common policy that is set by management, not cashiers. This place does a great job at helping to recirculate quality musical instruments and equipment. Ive picked up and dropped off instruments, gear, and stuff like cables and DI boxes here several times over the years, and they always made it a positive experience. I just saw the recent one-star review over something that I understand could have been embarrassing in the moment but really doesnt seem like a meaningful reflection on the shopping/selling experience at this particular store, and wanted to give my two cents.I also wouldnt recommend going in with a 32-ounce styrofoam cup or with no shirt and shoes. Additionally, then going on to argue that your styrofoam cup was worth more than a forty-year old, $15k Gibson, anyway, wont make your basically off-topic review read as any less tone deaf.

Let me preface this by saying that this was quite possibly the worst business encounters of my life. The store had a pair of PA speakers listed on their website, so I called to confirm they had them, the man on the phone said yes. I proceeded to drive over an hour to pick them up, only to be told by the workers that they couldnt find them and that maybe someone walked off with them. I stayed calm and asked if they would ammend the mistake by cutting me a deal on something that was in stock, the employees danced around the issue and eventually just turned a cold shoulder. I am a huge fan of the musicgoround franchise but will NOT be shopping at this location, nor could I recommend it to anyone after the experience I had today.

Really good experience working with Hunter and the team at Music Go Round. I had my eye on a specific amp they had in stock and was hoping to trade-in an amp I already had. Hunter was very courteous and I was happy that we were able to work something out. Also had a follow-up question after the sale and again, Hunter and the team were quick to respond and get me taken care of. Loving the new amp!

You can leave your bag here up front. Yes, I could, although it and its contents are worth more than anything in your store, and if you cant trust a customer in a single room shop where you have constant view of them, and everything valuable is big or locked up, then Ill just go somewhere else.Guitar Center and other shops dont treat me like dirt and make me feel welcome, whether I have a backpack, messenger bag, guitar case or two, or anything else with me when I walk in, because they pay attention to their customers, show a little trust, and understand rapport, unlike the pale at this store that chat with each other and ignore customers completely other than making them feel unwelcome.Ill take my bag with me, thank you. Somewhere else.

Edit: After getting a hold of a store manager, Ben, the situation was resolved in a more than satisfactory way. I knew it was a fluke and unfortunate circumstances, but they made it rmore than right! Thank you!First of all, I am very disappointed I have to leave two stars for this business as my initial experiences with the staff was absolutely wonderful, and they were very helpful, that is also why I am leaving two stars and not one.I was visiting Roseville/Minneapolis from Marquette Mi (Nearly a 7 hour drive) about a month ago. Ive been wanting to learn guitar for many years now, and finally decided to pull the trigger while we were in a larger metropolitan area. We were staying at a nearby hotel, and I stopped into the store two different occasions before finally making my purchase on the third trip. I ended up purchasing a Classical Admira Virtuoso guitar with electronic pick-ups. The lowest string buzzed quite a bit, but I was told new strings should take care of that. Mind you, Ive been a musician for two decades playing piano and drums, but Im not very knowledgeable regarding stringed instruments, hence, why I went here to speak with professionals. When I returned to Marquette MI, I took the guitar into our local shop to have new strings put on, and also to get their opinion. Every staff member who was currently working could not believe I was sold this guitar. The backbend on the neck was so bad, they had no way of repairing it without a very costly humidity treatment which is normally reserved for extremely valuable instruments. They essentially told me my purchase was a bust, and they felt bad for me, and that I never should have been sold this instrument. I called Music-Go-Round right after my trip here and spoke with Adrian, who took my information and was going to speak to a manager. I never heard back from them.I would have given a 1 star if it wasnt for the helpful staff. I know this wasnt intentional, or malicious, but I still spent 400$ and I live too far to return it. The drive, time, and gas alone would be worth more than 400$. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with the fear of ever making an expensive purchase again unless someone with direct knowledge of the product is with me.Overall, I dont think you should be turned off by this store. The staff really was knowledgeable. I think I got unlucky, but the store should have done more to make this right with me.

I have shopped here for years. I’ve bought gear, sold gear, consigned gear and hung out chatting doing no business. They have lots of interesting pieces that wander through. You never know what might be there on a given day. They also tend to have a lot of b-stock items which are good deals on decent brands. They figure out what you have and give you an offer based on its’ assessed value. You’re unlikely to get the high offer you dreamed about, but if you’re realistic about what your stuff is worth, they are, too. The owners are good guys and the people they hire tend to be there same. As noted, I’ve happily shopped here for years and will continue to do so.

I stopped into the music go round in Roseville to check out any used Telecasters or Stratocasters that they may have in stock and when I walked into place one of the employees that worked there told me that I needed to wear a mask. I proceeded to tell him that I am exempt from wearing a mask according to Governor walzs executive order 20 - 81 line item 8. paragraph a. Within just a few more minutes I was approached by the manager of the store holding a box of masks and he asked me to wear one. I told him that I am exempt from wearing a mask according to executive order 20 - 81. He was aware of Governor walzs executive order and he continued to ask me to wear a mask which made me feel very uncomfortable. and then he told me that I have 5 minutes before I have to leave or I can order something online. I told him I cant order guitars online if I havent played it. I felt very uncomfortable being in that store and I am following Governor walzs executive order 20 - 81 line item 8. paragraph a. The manager of the store proceeded to tell me Dont be that guy and he asked me to leave the store again. I told him if I was doing anything wrong to call the cops and have them come and make a determination if I was in violation. And that is when he said Dont be that guy I felt extremely uncomfortable being in the Roseville music around store and felt harassed and treated inappropriately while being in his store.

Ive been going to the Roseville and Burnsville MGRs for MANY years. Whether I buy something or not, the staff has ALWAYS been extremely helpful and patient. I called the store one day to check on a decent cheaper-side, but good acoustic for my 11 year old daughter to learn on. The manager Ben had 2 set aside and ready for me when I walked in and demonstrated both and their benefits, etc... we bounced back and forth for a while and she suddenly became very interested in keyboards. Ben switched gears and pointed out a good new beginner keyboard. We ended up buying one of those and she still plays it.

Ive been here MANY times over the years, largely to trade for gear. If you know what you have, you can get a decent deal. Theyll give you more in trade value than in cash. Also, they get a lot of factory second amps and guitars in, and Ive definitely gotten some decent deals on gear. That said, I have learned to NEVER deal directly with the store manager because he is a HORRIBLE, rude, condescending person. I seriously dont understand why they keep this loser around. Hes been here for years (read the oldest negative reviews-theyre talking about the same guy) Youll know him when you see him. Hes the constantly smirking jerk whos staring at you like you dont belong in there. This store has the same franchise ownership as the Burnsville MGR location. They will work out deals between stores (and match prices) if you are persistent, but again, DONT deal with the manager directly. Youll regret it. NOT joking.

This place has an awesome selection of drums, guitars, and basses, and a huge selection of pre owned amplifiers from vintage to brand new, and they have no shortage of effects pedals, p a speakers, the whole 9. BUT they are not cheap, or even discount, they price everything as retail price for their gear, most of the staff is judgemental, rude, and in my opinion that is enough for me to not shop there. I was a regular customer of theirs for about 2 years id go in usually with my girlfriend, and either id pay with her debit card or she would. For two years I used her card with her present. But the first time I went with her card while she waiting in the car that I (admittedly kind of rudely) parked right in front of the store the guy who has seen me use that card a hundred times before says I dont accept stolen cards!
