Went in early morning on the weekend to sell some items to the store. Was greeted with the least friendly lady and she sarcastically informed me of the new policies for selling personal belongings to the store.....she acted offended we were not already aware that you could not bring plastic bags in. For people that work in customer service (which this lady should be let go immediately) the way you speak to a customer is everything. So drive to the location off of greenback....use the gas....its worth it for just experiencing a bit of kindness.

If you have any dignity and self respect don’t go to Once Upon a Child at Roseville location.The older lady, who works there is incredibly rude! I couldn’t believe someone can work in retail with attitude like that.I always feel like a nuisance or unwelcome guest at this shop.I kept coming back because location is quite convenient for me, but I’ll be taking my business somewhere else from now on.

Ive been going to this special place for 19 years. Grandchildren have grown up and now Im back here because a great grand is on the way. Great clothing reasonable prices

I absolutely love their clothes. We got a newborn and 2yo so we go here often for their growth spurt. I love their sales and their clothes are so soft. Plus the staff Is super helpful and friendly. I once was looking for panda pjs for my newborn son and they helped me find the perfect ones. I absolutely love this place.

I have heard great things about this place..any interaction with the ladies that work there have always been good..very explanatory and patient ..and sweet..I have yet been able to get there at the right times to sale my brand new with tags on them clothing..But she explained everything..I will return..💯

The women whom I believe to be the owner of this store, with the glasses, is an extremely unfriendly person who seems to always have a huge chip on her shoulders for whatever reason. I have been bringing in and selling very nice, gently used items of my sons for over two years now and after the interaction I had with her today I will never again be doing so. I was very rudely told by her, I should have made it a priority to get there earlier like other people because they were no longer accepting for the day. A simple explanation would have worked, without the unnecessary attitude or rude remark. This isnt the first time Ive experienced this attitude either. Anytime I have ever questioned why the total for the amount of items I bring in is what it is, which is typically extremely low, she immediately becomes extremely defensive and rude and states well, thats what we can offer and you dont have to accept. She definitely needs to brush up on her customer service skills as a business owner, as well and just being a more decent human being in general. I will take my business elsewhere, thanks.

Quite disappointed as it was my favorite store. However today when I dropped my boxes off, there was a man behind me who had two boxes. She asked me if we were together? We said no, separate. I had to go back outside and grab the remaining two boxes. She finished checking in his items and turned his two bags of legos down. He proceeded to walk out. I asked him excuse me, i could buy those from you? He said oh, you have children? I said yes 5 . He handed me the two bags of legos and walked out. “Have a great weekend.” As soon as he left the store, she the old store lady ( very rude) said excuse me? I am sorry but you pressured him into giving you the legos I actually know his wife very well she is a regular customer and he is just the middle man. (I did not want to cause a scene and have issues) She said I will call her and ask Nicole if she is ok with her husband giving the legos for free and let you know tonight when you pick up your items.First off I didn’t pressure him I asked him kindly if he would want money for the legos. He is a grown man and can make his own decisions. He decided to give them to me. He didn’t appear “bothered “ or “pressured.” And wished me a good weekend.He walked away thinking he gave them to ME. As the STORE declined them.When I returned to get my left over items. I asked her what about the legos and she stated:” I spoke to Nicole and she did want to sell them.” Well that’s funny because you did not want to buy them his morning!?!?!? You sent this man on his way with the legos and all of the sudden you want to buy them?!?! Seems very shady...

Okay selection, definitely not worth time or effort selling items here. Way better off donating to get a tax write off, they only give $.50-.75 for baby clothes in perfect condition.

They did that plus went above our expectations by suggesting to look at new baby stores then come here. We bought a ergo baby pillow for $25 regularly $60. Brand new! Thank you once upon a child! Ive shopped and exchanged with the company for over 8 years now. I recently had an entire hamper of new or once used items returned. The employee said its because they were stained. However, sh only found one shirt that seemed to meet that excuse... Perhaps they just didnt need the items. I planned on throwing them out and the lady overheard this and asked if she could just keep them???Luckily her statement confirmed that they were still of some use and I took the items to another location and sold the entire basket. Odd.

I am very annoyed with this store!!! I wanted to sell a huge portion of my baby cloths.I live an hour away so I had called the store before hand. I was told 0 to 6 months is in high demand, so I went thew my cloths Accordingly to what i was told.Which turned into 3 buckets of cloths to take. I get all the way down there its goung take a few hours to look threw the cloths. So my daughter and I had a fun day, then we went back to the store shopped. But when I checked out they gave me ALL my cloths back and told me they are only taking 2T-8 size clothes and to come back when I have bigger sizes😤😡 Apparently the stuff doesnt communicate. Not to mention the woman was rude. In conclusion I will never be going back to that store

Its a great store for various sizes, but I do feel like some obviously more worn clothing was too expensive. Additionally, I feel like if I went to walmart, I would have save money for something new. But, the difference is that alot of the clothes here are name brand, so some pros and cons.

We love this store. I have a 5 & 7 yr old now. We have sold/traded many items and found a fair amount of items as well. Especially like the dresses, dress shoes, books and educational toys. Always a very prompt, and friendly staff. Love the rewards program and military discount they offer.

Loved it! Lots and lots of every size, plus a large shoe collection, hats, socks and bibs! I will 100% be coming back to this location again rather than citrus height, it just has way more of everything AND cuter clothes

Meh. Lack of consistency among stores in appraisal items but don’t expect more than an average of 10 to 15% of the original value of your items regardless of how mint a condition you presented them. You come here knowing another family will benefit in some way because good used may be the only affordable option for some families. The staff are usually polite and friendly.

This is a nice little consignment store for kids. They have cloths, dress, winter gears, toys, strollers, etc.. The price is quite affordable. And they have clearance items for 50% off. They also have a 1 dollar rack, which is a must look! I am happy to find this cute little store and will come back when being in the town.

Came in to sell, got what I think is a fair price for a bag of my sons gently used cloths. The ladies/workers were very informative and friendly. I walked around the store and found some items I was interested in as well.

This team does a good job selling a variety of sizes and styles. The clothing is never stained and is often as good as new. I like that they have good prices and are friendly, I have never tried selling because they always look full to me. I appreciate a good deal since I have 3 daughters! Especially on shoes.

I have been here a couple times and sold stuff. Each time I feel like they under pay for the quality of clothes I bring. Today I think was I for me, my daughter was in their play section playing with some of their dinosaurs and a lady came by and took them, she said “these are for purchase only, you can’t just play with them” super rude! She didn’t even ask if we were going to buy them, she just took them.I’ll take my business somewhere else from now on.

Customer service is very lacking. The selection isnt as good as other locations I have been to. I most likely wont visit this location again anytime soon. If the staff were nicer I would frequent this store. The prices are not bad. There was not much on the way of cold weather clothing for babies.

The last three times Ive been here have been awful, so I will not return, Ive learned my lesson. The customer service is horrible! Some prices are higher than if you buy new (example: the used strollers are same price or more than if you buy from Target). If selling, be warned-they tell you to give them several hours so plan your day accordingly, and they also offer extremely low prices even on excellent condition items. I could handle all the cons if they were at least nice, but they are not.

I like this place. I just noticed that they have a play area for the little ones. Great prices, much more reasonable for used items than the competitors. Very organized and easy to locate items.

I visited this store for the first time today. I brought my items into sell and was turned away, rudley. Their website boasts that you can bring your items to sell anytime, no appointment necessary. As easy as 1-2-3. This is not the case. They will want you to show up early in the morning and take the day to go through your items and you must return that same day to receive their offer. It seems that they dont offer much money for very nice condition quality items either. Dont waist your time.

I love coming here every so often to see what they have. The selection of clothing is great for any age child. I do believe they have some pre-teen sizes as well. Some of the clothing in my opinion is a lil over priced for being a gently used clothing store for children. But all in all I love once upon a child .

The first time I visited Once Upon a Child, my daughter and I were in search of some extra clothes for my future first grand baby. I was amazed at how many things they had in that one store. Clothes, cribs, highchairs, toys, baby carriers, shoes, books, you name it! The aisles are narrow but its because they are packed with so many things you need and its very organized by sizes, age and product. The prices are very reasonable and the merchandise is in very good condition. Weve been back several times and each time have found what weve been looking for. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful, too.

This used childrens clothing and toy store offers one of a kind items for your little ones. They also buy gently used childrens outfits, toys, and games.

I like taking our child’s clothes there, although, the associates need to take a politeness course.

Scored some great stuff here, including a JuJuBe diaper bag for $19 that usually retails for $160. Large selection but not overcrowded. They have a dress up area year round and a play space for kids while you shop.

Is it just me or are the employees there just rude? We tried to sell some items there and were treated badly and rudely. We ended up not selling much to them because it was insulting how little they offered us for our items.But, we spent a chunk of money while we were there though....

My wife often goes to this location to sale clothes and she never has a problem with the prices and or the associates. They always greet her and are very pleasant with her. And the prices that she pays are good for being gentle used.

I could not believe their outrageous prices!!! Something that is $70 brand new is being sold here for $60, in very used condition. I walked in and walked right out! Save the time and money, and travel to Yuba Citys Baby to Teens Consignment. So much cheaper!!! Unbelievable.

Hit or miss with customer service. Occasionally encounter fantastic employee, but more often than not they are indifferent and sometimes quite rude. Good selection and reasonable prices on most clothes. Many toys are way overpriced (my son fell in love with a VERY used plastic garbage truck that was $8.00!). My one attempt to sell clothing resulted in a decision to donate instead. The offer was $12 for about $250 of mostly new items. That said, even designer clothes are priced well so it makes sense that they cant pay much for them. We shop there seasonally because it is convenient for us, but I do wish most of the people who work there could be a little more pleasant.

I drove 45 min to this location to sell a stroller and i had called them ahead of time and they dont disclose any info on the items they buy....they DO NOT except mid size or large strollers. And they wont tell you that until you get all the way there. They need better customer service and personnel with better IQs to be more informative.

Way overpriced for used clothing. A single onesie was $4.50. I thought to myself... WHAT?! They probably bought the piece for $0.25. No thanks. Went next door to Carters and their 3/4 piece sets were on sale for $8.50! Brand new, more than one piece. Once Upon a Child is way too pricey for used things. Wont be going back to even look around.

I don’t understand all the poor reviews; they can’t buy everything you are selling, people. The store has a finite amount of room. I don’t want to meet shady people in a Walmart parking lot to buy preowned clothes. This business checks the clothes to make sure they are in good shape, sells them at a very reasonable price, and use the profit to keep their lights on. It’s a good business model and as a single father I have absolutely enjoyed going there. The only reason I took one star off is because the store is a little too small so it’s hit and miss on clothes.

The employees were not very helpful; and I walked in with 5 Little’s and was told there is no restrooms for customers which I find a little inconvenient for being a kids store. We had to rush to make a purchase then walk all the way to Trader Joe’s to use their facilities.

Store owner was beyond rude, not helpful nor does he provide any type of good customer service. NOT sure why MIKE decided to be in customer service if good customer service is no where in his agenda. Instead of understanding the situation he sounded more concerned on being RIGHT and making me feel as if I was in the wrong. I was helped by one employee he verified was one of his registered managers and was helped today by one of his supervisors. Jennifer the manager that helped me was pretty nice and helpful but the supervisor that helped me was rude and had no intention to hide her bothered face. The reason for my call was to get a better understanding on what I was told from my purchase on new years eve. (STORE OWNER MIKE STARTED TO ESCALATE WHEN I SAID I MADE A PURCHASE NEW YEARS EVE AND CUT ME OFF BY SAYING WE WERE NOT OPEN NYE, HOW IS HE THE OWNER AND NOT AWARE OF THE DAYS HIS STORE IS OPEN AND STILL TRY TO CORRECT ME???) smh well the supervisor standing there with her bothered face was very rude to the young girl helping me at the register. You can see it in her poor face that she was very embarrassed and uncomfortable by the way the supervisor was speaking to her and so was I. I figured Id call to get informed and get the supervisor name t ok provide feedback or fill out a survey or something.Instead this guy that I did NOT SEE IN THE STORE answered the call and did not help much when giving him feedback on my experience in his store he did not seem one bit concerned at all and simply said ok so how can I help you because we are not getting anywhere SMH .... He was correct there are some people that have a job just for the money, sad but he has not one concern for how his customers experience is in his store nor concerned for his employees

I brung in 1 container, 1 bouncer and 1 bike and the lady working around 5 pm said she couldnt take any due to being the only buyer. But then there was no sign at the door stating they are not buying for the rest of the day!! Service here sucks! And prices here are beyond for used items!!

I want to start off by saying they DONT have a bathroom! I came here yesterday to trade in a box of clothes and a few other baby items. The selection for 18mo size tshirts was nearly non-existent, and nearly everything was marked $3.50 or higher (if you shop sales you can find new for this price). I grabbed about 10 items ~$50. At checkout I find out they will only take 5 items, including a $30 tub and a new costume, and offered me $8.50. They said most of my clothes were stained, but I knew that was a lie because most were still new. They could have just said they didnt take onesies instead of lying. I put everything back except for a dress and all the $1 items, which they charged me full price for one. I was so annoyed by the poor service and total rip off that I left in a hurry. I have gone to other Once Upon A Child stores and theyve been wonderful. Avoid this one, but dont avoid the franchise.

Found so many great deals on brand new clothes. I baught some onsies and a lot of other things about half of the 15 items I baught were brand new and I saved so much money 💰. I had not been there for a long time and decided to stop and look. I am so glad i did and i will be going back soon.

This store is pretty cool. They have had almost everything Ive gone in looking for. Items are definitely more expensive than you can find on Craigslist, Facebook, etc... but as someone said, they have to make enough to keep the store open, pay employees, and make a profit.Ive seen a few ridiculously overpriced things and I dont like to have to ask to see the items (swings, bouncers, some toys) kept on the top shelves, but 5 stars other than that. The store is organized, has a cool rewards system, and you cant beat the convenience of having all they have in one place at a decent price. Id shop here any day before going to Babies R Us or Buy Buy Baby, but I would check Craigslist first.

Its pretty sad how little they give you for brand new folded clothing and shoes in the box and out of 30 very nice baby items I brought in they bought like 9 things for 5$ it was a joke it took them 4 hours to go through it then they didnt count my items or give a reciet and I got my things back a mess in a bag and I was missing 7 Carter onesies I know because I counted and folded everything and the lady said no that couldnt have happened I got nowhere with her so they are gone probably on the rack or sold I feel like I was robbed by a baby store they have low ball offers then sell it double or triple what they gave you and they have a very unorganized system and they make it so you cant prove it with no reciet I cant believe she said we have a good system I had to hang up merry Christmas I guess better to sell on market place or give it to someone elses child they dont deserve to be in business

Wow, I am not surprised to see all the bad reviews lol. I am a faithful OUAC customer, and usually go to the Arden or Greenback location but decided to give the Roseville location a try since I was in the area. One of the employees must have been having a bad day, because she appeared to be very angry and decided to take it out on my son. Usually when I go shopping with my kids Id bring my mother along but this time I brought my niece, daughter, and my son (which is a toddler). When we arrived no one greeted us like the employees at the other locations do, I had to greet them instead. Anyhow, the kids went inside the play square, and I began my shopping, moments later my son wanted to go play with the toys in the toy section as as always so my niece and daughter joined him. I was 1 aisle away where I could see them, and all of a sudden I the employee takes a toy away from my son, he grabbed it back from off the shelf, she rudely snatched it from him, took him by the arm and pushed him down on the ground, my son began crying, then my daughter (7 years old) yelled my name, because she even knew what the woman was doing, was wrong. When I came from around the corner her whole attitude changed, she smiled, and said sorry the kids cannot play in this section without a parent. But I was right there to see everything that happened. When I walked over to my son he didnt even want to come from out of the corner, he was really scared. I didnt make a customer complaint or anything, even though I should have, I was so mad I just left. The other locations I go to doesnt have rude employees or have a problem with the children playing with the toys in the back. I will NEVER go to OUAC Roseville again, period, point, blank.
