The Racine location is well staffed with knowledgeable and helpful people. The store is well organized and stock locations are clearly and clearly priced. I have visited 5 Joann stores in my area and Racine is my favorite store because of the staff.

This used to be a great location, but the Round Lake Beach store is closing. Their inventory was fairly depleted when I was there (literally the only solid fleece fabric they had left was hot pink). Unless you are wanting to try your luck in hopes that you can find a bargain that meets your needs soon (mid-January 2020), definitely find a different store!

Mary is the absolutely the best!!! She opened up another line for my fiance and I to allow the customers behind us to ring out while I created a rewards account for coupons she let me know I could use to save money on a big purchase! All the staff here are so helpful and kind! Great location!!!

The customer service at the Round Lake Beach location was incredibly friendly. I wish they werent going out of business because I could count on them to always be nicer than any other fabric store.

I purchased enough fleece for nearly 200 blankets for a Project Linus fundraiser. The staff was sincerely nicer and more helpful than other stores Ive been to in years past, and went out of their way to put the order together in one afternoon to ensure I could still get the sale price. I was so impressed... Ill definitely continue to visit this particular store annually when I do this event!! Thanks to Mary and the others who worked so hard!!

I love JoAnn. They usually have great deals. You can sign up to be on their mailing list and get coupons sent to you and/or put the app on your phone and you will be notified immediately. My favorite things are the patterns when theyre 5 for $5.00. And also their yarn is usually always a good deal.

I went into the store with ideas of making a baby blanket. Well they were busy. Cynthia was the best. She went above and beyond to help me pick out some patterns. Then she proceeded to show me a video on different way to make the blanket. Which it turned out beautiful. We need more people like Cynthia that appreciates what she does,and it shows. She should have classes on showing people what REAL customer service should be. Thank you

Pretty good selection for a smaller store. The prices are alright and the coupons are good. The staff is fantastic. They are knowledgeable and helpful. Theyre also very supportive of all my crafting endeavors.

This location is small, but staff is helpful, and find a better selection than the other location in McHenry. Easy to navigate. They have just enough stuff to complete your project without making you feel overwhelmed.

Love the staff and the helpfulness. Prices and discounts are wonderful, better products prices and help is far above hobby lobby across the street! Computer system needs to be updated for the employees to have a more productive work environment. Company should have an it tech for each store to call upon.

Always happy when I go to this location, and was very sad when I walked in 1/31 and saw they were closing. I hope you can open again in a new location nearby! Sincerely, a sad crafter :(

Generally useless if you sew anything other than quilts. Good for common items (thread, snaps, common notions) but theres nothing special and this location is so small that the selection is not very wide. I think its possible that they are no longer required to ask you what youre making (which was obnoxious since they usually dont know enough to answer questions or offer advice on your project unless its something simple). Generally, I go into Chicago when I need anything specific.

If you dont mind having to hunt down people to help you find products, and you dont mind that you dont hear the words Thank you at the conclusion of a transaction, youll be satisfied with JoAnn fabrics.

I was at the Round Lake store. I found most of the things I needed. A very nice woman helped me look for a Heidi Swapp product on the website. We didnt find it but she was great. I had problems with the app and she helped with that, too. She might have been the manager. Great experience!

The rudest employees Ive ever met. Was greeted with a nasty attitude, as though they had better things to do. Then when I wanted fabric cut a certain way, the lady was beyond rude telling me they wont cut it, I have to cut it myself. So whats the point in having a fabric cutting service then? Never again.

I love the store but the person was rude and unkind. Not sure if she was having a bad day but she needs to work on her professionalism (Michele) I asked about the coupon online and she stated I needed to download the app. No one was behind me. She just rang me up and was in a hurry. If someone is interested in downloading your app, you should be more helpful. I would have waited on the side to complete it. Just very unpleasant.

The employees were no help I obviously looked lost in what i was looking for. An employee walked past me i smiled greeted she gave me a cold look barely spoke back and walked away before i could let her know i needed assistance. The whole vibe of the store was uneasy for me as well it seemed like every isle i walked down that had another customer in it they would look at me weird not sure what it was but when i left the store my girl friend mention she felt uneasy in the store too. When we finally got to the check out the lady that rung me up said no words other than the total of how much my purchase was. I will never use this location again.

Definitely a great fabric selection. The JoAnn by where I used to live had a better over all craft selection. The staff was all very friendly though!

We had a hard time finding someone working in the store and when we did he didnt know anything about the store. Ive been shopping at JoAnn for years and have never had a problem until the last couple of weeks. I guess Hobby Lobby will be my new go to for my Cricut, craft and cake supplies.

I called ahead. We all know there is bad weather in the Midwest. I asked if they were open for normal business hours and was told yes. I drove in 45 min what should have been 25 to go here specifically and pulled in as two people were leaving. I said I had called and she shrugged at me, said sorry, and got in her car.

Pleasant and helpful sales person and great savings with the various and numerous coupons available. For me it helps a great as I am in a tight and fixed income. Keep those coupons coming. Thanks

My wife wanted to get a pattern to make a dragon costume for our new miniature dachshund puppy. Ive been to this store many times before, this one is quite small compared to others in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful, the store is clean and organized, just small. They do have one person that says, Hello, welcome to joanns every time someone walks in, it gets urinating after a while when youre shopping. I wish she would say something different to mix it up.

This is one of my favorite Joanns. The employees are knowledgeable about projects . The selection is more limited then other Joannss, but that is due to the store size.

So many great materials and crafts. It can get a bit chaotic with the constant trading in and out of different holiday stock.

I cosplay. I make my own cosplay. I need fabric and crafty things. Joann fabric has said things. The round lake store is amazing and filled with great and fun staff. Theyre helpful and willing to listen to your project and help decide on which fabric is best. Definitely recommend this place for any avid cosplayer. Or any random crafty person.

I shop in Vernon Hills because theres more variety.

I stopped by JOANNES on 7/18 to weave a web for this NEW dream coat and discovered that they had exactly what MeRAK needed! Yes when one whishes to cloth a naked planet then one must use NEON needles upon the NOSE of Mighty JOE. And IF your wondering what I mean; well then I suggest that you contact Sean and Jon my high school buds and ask them what it takes to thread a fiber optic vest.

I purchased some fabric from the store and am very pleased with it, but after I got home with it a determined thatit would be better to have gotten in cut in single yard lengthes. Upon call and requesting if this could be done if I stopped I wasn informed by phone that it was not possible. I was told that once it was paid for That could not be done. The purchase was from there and I have the receipt and they have the capability of cutting this straighter then I could at home and the time involved would be minimal. If you want to retain customers it would be nice to give them some better service.

I purchased 3 different fabrics. All had to be ordered. I was told they were available in other stores, lots of it, and they would do a transfer but could take a few weeks. I agreed to that. I was called in a week that one of the three orders was in but not the other two. I picked up the order, which was supposed to be 10 yds on one bolt. I was told then that it only came in 8 yd bolts. I then purchased an additional bolt of 8 yds to make sure project would work out. When I got home I noticed that there was a red sticker on the end that said 7.5 yds. Ok so it wasnt expensive and I was not about to go back to that store and stand in line forever for credit for 1/2 yd. Several weeks went by so I called on status of the rest of my order.(All fully paid for.) I was told that the fabric had not come in and was not available in any other store! I wasted a month waiting for fabric and was never notified. All I got was sorry, I didnt take your order so I wasnt following up on it. I asked for a credit to my account and was told I had to come in to do that. I dont ever want to go back there again but theyre telling me it is the only way I can get my money back. I guess I can file a charge back against the company. I own a retail business and I understand that sometimes things go wrong but there was no effort to try to correct this situation on their part. Will never go back for anything.
