I saw some negative reviews but a couple friends of mine recommended this place to me, I was in and out pretty quick, they welded in a pipe extension to make it fit as the exhaust I ordered elsewhere was a bit too short to just make work.Very fair cost, friendly staff and my car runs great!

This place brings your vehicle in after a quote was given say oh you need more parts will be $200 more. I say ok no complaints. Then my dual exhaust rust out. We are only a couple weeks after there year warranty. They will do nothing for me. I drive my truck 40 minutes round trip a day five days a week. How does it rust in a year? Also they gave me no choice on parts that was there picking. Now they don’t want to Stand behind product. The product you pushed at a premium price. I did not ask for free all I want is help considering they conned me first time. They take you money and don’t care about customers it’s sad. Do not go hereAlso if they actually took appointments I would of been in my warranty. No they push you out oh we are to busy. Yah you pushed me past my warranty date truly disgusting.They use low end parts for premium cost.Your not sorry your scam artist. You push people out of warranty then tell them no warranty. Your business practices are disgusting.

I called as soon as they opened and got my car in there quick for a great price. I brought my own part that I extensively researched so I was prepared to answer questions. They delivered on time and with quality. Jesus was friendly and I highly recommend if you dont want to saw off your own muffler and feel comfortable having a professional do it.

Not at all what they used to be i went and asked about replacing brake pads and was told about a 2 1/2 hour wait or leave my car but i did have things to do so i went back at around 4 Which was 3 hours later and it was a different gentlemen who said were not going to be able to take you today (mommy)? Wierd and creapy, he now tells me there is only 1 mechanic which was understandable of why maybe ? So i said id bring it in the next day .. Now i come in no cars in the waiting area which is what i thought was a good thing but nope now there going to lunch for a hour, hour and a half strange tho i drove by 30 minutes later and theres a car being worked on, i guess im not either a man or the right color for there bussiness.

Shop manager didnt wanted to do the work(install a junkyard muffler) he said it wouldnt fit. Went a second time months later after measuring and making sure it fited, he didnt wanted to the work again.I explained to him that it did fit, to make me say no he increased the price(double 40 to 80). I still agreed and it was done in less than an hour and it did fit. I should have said no but I didnt wanted to install a aftermarket muffler as he suggested (to make his life easier) and didnt wanted to waste time shopping around. Customer service is key, wont happen again.

They built the exhaust on my 19 Camaro, these guys are incredible and honestly not that expensive. Thanks guys 🤙

Actually a really good place to go, simply bc the amount of locations and almost identical prices so you know its a fair deal or good deal since Ive personally called 4 different locations within a 30mile commute and all the prices were pretty spot on and Ive used them soooo many times on top of other places for other jobs I wasnt 100% comfortable getting done there vs like a window, brakes, oil change, etc. Id recommend them for sure for ANY maintenance type work but I was a little hesitate on bigger jobs bc the cleanliness and organizations, vibe and how small they are. Seen over 6 cats at one when I was replacing my driver window after getting it bricked and robbed along with 6 other cars! Darn Chicag, Gets ya all the time on some silly super peddy ticket or pot hole, to getting bricked then seeing a truck on bricks literally 20 minutes after seeing my car and thats when I just stopped hanging out there for the 1st time and boggied!!! I replaced the ball joints on my jeep. I called them to see if they could do an alignment for me. They said bring it in and drop it off. So i did, not even ten minutes went by and they were calling me and telling me the front is bad and i need more parts so they couldnt do the alignment. They lie and try to sell you things you dont need. Im as master mechanic with 36 ASE and 21 years of experience. There was nothing wrong with the front end..This is the type of people who give the automotive repair industry a bad name.. Con artist

Owner is a jerk. Please save your money and go somewhere else. He has like 2 people working at a time so the wait times are ridiculous. Wouldn’t even take a look at my Jeep exhaust which would have taken less than 30 seconds.

The people there really know what they are doing to your car. The boss tells you to grab a saw, then you grab a saw. My exhaust system is quiet as can be and all thanks to the master that told me how it can be done. They were so fast and you can watch them do incredible things that youd rather just not.

I had an exhaust leak on a car that I just bought and when it started smelling in the cabin I knew it had to be dealt with. I had never been here before and choose it based more on convenience. I was given a quote which I brought to my (trusted) mechanic who told me if I can get it done for that price to, Do it!. So I did. I brought the car back to my mechanic afterwards for his review on the work. He said, Whoever did this is unbelievable! The welds are perfect and it fits exactly like a stock, if not better. Trust is earned and Velasquez and Sons earned my trust. The price was great and so was their work!

If I could put zero stars I would. They lie, and do bogus business. Put a brass piece on brakes, and lied about it. Finally got them to admit it. Do NOT take your car here, they are not honest. They should not put illegal parts on people’s brakes.

I have been there three times. First to have the muffler fixed and then to have it serviced and then to have my brakes fixed. All three times they were extremely professional, did great work for a very reasonable price. I trust these people.

Got me in for an oil change right away. The staff was nice but I had a lot of burn off for two days when I ran the heat. Im assuming spilled fluids on the engine. My family and I use the Mundelein location but this is closer to where we live. Id still go back.

I have had good and bad experiences with this location but will never bring my business back to this location. Best to only bring small repairs for a low price and quick service. I had a problem with a check engine light that i needed fixed for emissions. After 5 different times bringing my vehicle for the same problem it was never fixed. First they would replace an expensive sensor that was not defective. then they would simply just erase my check engine light codes and send me off. on the vehicle i was driving it would take up to several days to get the light to come back on. This is was a very long and frustrating problem that cost me thousands in parts, labor and lost wages from being unable to use my truck for work. I was hoping this would be the place to bring my vehicles but found more dishonest and lazy mechanics.

I went there to get a smoker test to find a small hole in my exhaust system. They do not take appointments, so I waited 40 minutes for a bay. A half hour later, they called me into the garage to point to a flex hose and the rear catalytic converter and say they needed to be replaced at $180 each. They did NOT do the smoker test I requested. I will not go back there. Since then, I was told their catalytic converters work but only last a year or so. This last is hearsay.

This place is very very over prized for 2 tires to be mounted $90 dollars I also needed the suspension on my Nissan Sentra they gave me a price of $3200 I took it else where I payed $1400!

Youll never find cheaper work for the good quality they put into it. And theyre almost always willing to work with you on price if youre a little short. I dont know what some peoples problem is with this place. Ive been going here for almost 10 years now and never once been disappointed. And if youre frustrated because of the language barrier, just ask for David. Hes pretty cool.

I want to say Velasquez mechanics is good and expirience..but...i cant keep coming back for something they did wrong...i wouldnt even come back...just picked up my van I knew I had to come back again ...now there is a button missing that goes on to of the steering wheel..though they denied they didnt touch anything..Yea Right

Had one repair done and it went fairly well. The second one they actually broke something and then charged me for it. Then they gave me a quote that seemed kind of high. Made some phone calls and found out it was in fact too high and that they lied about needing to replace more parts then was actually needed. My advice, shop around.

Had Cat Back exhaust installed. Had some rattling after I left, brought it back and had it fixed within minutes. Easy to work with and very friendly

CROOKS!!!!! Our motor blew up, so instead of fixing the whole thing they only fixed the top. so we got it, drove about ten miles, and what do you know it blew up again. who the f*** does that!!?? Instead of apologizing for being incompetent lazy morons they suggest we fork up an extra grand. What a joke. Btw they always suggest you needing a new battery. I had a family member that literally had the same exact thing happen to them with the motor and battery after the fact. Worst experience. Example: I asked when will the car be done? and they replied Today some time, we will call you when its ready.....Now keep in mind that this is at 8:15 AM, so Today some time seemed realistic being its only supposed to be an hour of labor. WELL, I called at 4PM to see what is going on, and they said its almost done, we will call you. Ok. Click. Im sure you can understand that I didnt hear back. I tried at 6pm...AND THEY WERE CLOSED!!!!!!Its now the next day, at 3:30 pm, the cars not done and they are so understaffed that there is no one answering the phone.This business is unreal, fake, a joke. The mechanic kept giving me the run around and couldn’t even tell me when they could work on my car. It was a simple job that I had another mechanic work on and took them 30 minutes, I won’t be coming back to the round Lake Beach location anymore!

Wanted to install a small car hitch on my sedan (remove 4 bolts), the guy quoted me $200. The Hitch cost $120 new. A neighbor with an impact wrench did it for $10. Been there a few times and its always some ridiculous price.

Ive used these guys a few times over the years, cheap exhaust from them, today they did a little more work for me, decent price and I waited for them to finish, couple hours and good as new, they are decent compared to the majority of shops

Terrible. Outrageous. I asked to change my brake pads. They said it will be done in an hour. Gave me a huge price. After that I called another place and find out the price is much lower so I called them and said I dont want to do it anymore.The guy said he is changing rotors too.I said I dont want to do it. He said I have to pay 240 for work. I said i want to see my rotors and pads and agree to change only on the back. It wasnt needed my rotors lookes fine. Anyway what was suppose to take an hour took 4h. He changed the rotors twice for no reason and had to adjust the pads. And change my pads on the front with orhers really badThat I could see when a friend change them the next day.

Went there to get a quote for exhaust work...had all 3 of my daughters with me on a hot day...they only had one car in shop being worked on with 3 workers...sat outside with my daughters gor 20min before i said screw it and left!!!

The guys have worked on all my cars. They have been more than fair with the repair pricing and have typically beat the competitors estimates by 50 to 75%. If any issues ever arose after the repairs they were taken care of with a smile.

Had a problem with my exhaust leaking at the location of a heat shield, they removed the shield cut a section of the pipe out and welded a new piece in. It took a whole 35 minutes these guys are great and the price was great.

Friendly @ first but rude when you ask to check your car out prior to paying for services. Cheap services come at a cost, they left bolts loose in the engine and I had to tighten that up myself when I got home.

First, I took my car to the Mundelein workshop but this time a machine was not working for them but the very kind girl told me that in Round Lake there was another workshop. I called them today and they treated me as soon as I arrived in half an hour. My car was ready and they were very kind.
