Glass America is by far the WORST!!!! WORST!!!! WORST!!!! WORST!!!! WORST!!! Company to do business with!!! I specifically scheduled a morning appointment for a hail storm front window repair, called the day before to confirm my appointment, they said yes everything was complete and ready to go for the next day, waited for a call letting me know what time they were going to arrive and did not receive one! Called glass America to find out the estimated time frame of my arrival and was told I was scheduled from 3-5 pm! I told them I needed a morning appointment, the woman on the phone told me my Technician (Anthony) sent me a text confirming my time, I told her I didn’t get one, and SHE then sent the text through a second later The operator then told me “I didn’t need to be at home.” I said WHAT!!! How are they getting their money ma’am!!!!!! She never said anything! I then Called the technician (Anthony) that was assigned to my repair and asked him to confirm the address they had on file for me and they had the WRONG ADDRESS!!!!!! PEOPLE PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE WHAT EVER YOU DO, DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! BAD, BAD, BAD, BAD BUSINESS, AND A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!!! AND MONEY!!!!!!! I TRULY!!! wish I had paid ATTENTION to the reviews before agreeing to this MESS!!!! I called back to ask again what time my appointment was scheduled for and the rep said she didn’t know!! I cancelled my appointment and ended up going somewhere else!!!!! My MONEY WAS MOT GOING TO BE WASTED ON FOOLISHNESS!!!!
Was referred to this company by my insurance company. Needed a new windshield - was told they would call me back the next day to confirm inventory. No call back so I called them back two days later. Asked me to hold for about 10 minutes, them asked to stay on hold for more time or a call back but never called back. Tried calling again a week later but waited on hold for over 30 minutes before giving up. Its now been two weeks and never got a return phone call.
Instead of honoring their appointment for a windshield chip repair, they called me at the exact time of that appointment to tell me that no technician is available. Next time available will be.... a week later, is the solution I got from them. Just piss poor customer service.
I hope all of their drivers dont make a habit of trying to kill people on the road. Thats what just happened to me at 1097 & Interstate 45 in Willis. I drive for work too and understand how frustrating it can be, but I try not to blatantly endanger others. Unacceptable.

After my window was smashed in, I was told Glass America could fix it within hours, but when it was time to repair, they canceled. I explained that I was going out of town for over a week and didn’t feel comfortable waiting until getting back to re-schedule, but was assured that even without a key or me being present that they would be able to repair the window. After the rescheduled appointment, the tech texted saying he needed to talk, but wouldn’t return my call or text. After multiple calls, I got through to an rude employee who told that repair is impossible without a key and that regardless, I’d have to wait a week from the original appointment to reschedule. Overall, it was a horrible experience and communication was very poor.
The most unprofessional people work here. The dispatchers are incompetent. I dont believe the tech came to my house as he claims. I received a text way before the time frame I was promised between 9 am 11 am. I called to complain after the text because I am livid that the technician texted me to reschedule at 7 something this morning because he tried calling me. I called the dispatcher she says the computer says I was scheduled between 4 am - 9am! This has happened several times. I dont believe he was here at all because I am home, I have 0 missed calls, no one knocked, and my dog did not bark and my room is facing my drive way. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!!!
Tech was very courteous. He cleaned every thing. He said his top priority is keep customer happy and he made me happy. I was impressed. I was worried about after reading bad reviews and i did mention it to them. They were much cheaper than then the safelite difference was 160+. After market mirror are after market so no big deal. He explained everything very well and he bear me next to him standing and watching.I would definitely recommend glass america to others.
This company was sent to me to replace a window in one of my vehicles through Connect Auto Glass. I received superior customer service from Connect Auto Glass & was expecting the same from Glass America, yet was sorely disappointed. I take full responsobility for the fact I forgot they were coming & didnt stay awake after being up most the night on night shift. Sam began calling me at 8:15AM & called every 30 minutes for the next 2.5 hours. To say that was irritating is an understatement. Right as I woke up & realized I had forgotten about them & thats who had been blowing up my phone, Sam texted. He was in my neighborhood trying to find my house! I find it incredibly rude that he would be coming to my house without making contact with me! What if I were in the middle of an emergency or something!? I exchanged text messages leading him to my house. His responses to me were short & unprofessional, responding with yep vs yes or even yes maam. I indicated to him TWICE that I had been on night shift & was not ready for him. He never even offered an apology. He was pleasant enough when he arrived, but still did not give off an air of professionalism or any remorse for showing up without making contact. The work he did was acceptable. Now, had I lost my appointment today because of my negligence of forgetting they were coming, that would have been on me & I would not be upset with the company. However, Sam didnt give me a chance to suffer the consequences of my own negligence. Sam, and therefore the company he works for, made it quite clear that he was going to show up on HIS schedule, regardless of whether he made contact with customer & showed no regard for whatever was going on that was preventing him from making contact with the customer. This is a completely unacceptable way to do business. The lack of customer service & professionalism is astounding. Connect Auto Glass was made aware not only of my experience today, but also the very low 2.6 star rating Glass America has on Google so that they can re-evaluate if this is a company they really want to align themselves with.
Had a quarter size star in my windshield BEFORE they repaired it. They demonstrated how they use a lighter to heat the glass to a hot temperature, but not too hot or it will crack your windshield. As he was explaining this, he cracked out my windshield, apologized, and said not to worry, it wont fall in on me. Left with needing a new windshield. This iwill cost over $1600.00 due to the lane departure system. Regional manager, Frank Dorn has been less than cooperative. I feel they are responsible. I offered to accept $1200.00 from them towards the cost, and pay the balance. Buyer beware. I am awaiting a final decision from them on what they are willing to do, if anything. I will update my review if they take responsibility for this. As it stands, do NOT use them unless you are prepared to buy a new windshield. They do not stand behind their work.
Next day service at my workplace. GREAT convenience, and service tech was prompt, courteous, and swift! Out of pocket cost was a lot less than insurance deductible. I would certainly use them again and highly recommend them for all autoglass needs.
These guys are the best. We were traveling from out of state and we called on a Sunday afternoon and by Monday morning they came to our location and replaced our rear window. Prompt, professional and performance, all top notch. Thanks Glass America!
Horrible quality! He literally only spent 10 minutes on my windshield. When safelite worked on my husbands, it took them about a hour and a half. When mine was done it still had the cracks only about half the original size. I come out to my car a few hours later and it looks exactly like it did before(if not worse). Now I have to buy a new windshield. You will be better off going with safelite.

I am not pleased with these people at all! It’s unfortunate I have to even give them one star as that is not even deserved. The customer service is horrible, if they mess up in any way. Especially, with the boss Frank Dorn. They do not seem knowledgeable enough in the profession to be a ligit company. My mom just had her crack on her front windshield repaired and the technician began to panic saying small cracks were very complicated because the high heat they used to try to fix them, and right in front of us, the crack grew across the whole windshield. Her vehicle has lane departure and she now has to pay for a new 1500$ windshield as this company refused to pay or fix anything. Stay away from this shady company. Even the address the list is a fake location.
