The staff is nice and professional. Its clean and generally pretty quick. Only complaint I have is the hours are sporadic as far as close times. 4pm is like.. lets close before anyone gets off work to make it in. 7 this day, 6 the next, 4 the next.. just no consistency. Like I said though, everything else is overall good. Just hard to make it in.

The Doctors and the exam process were professional and efficient. I would recommend that aspect. The Customer service part ( choosing frames, buying glasses) was extremely lacking. Very long waits, Very limited selection ( only higher end frames available ), no economical options available. I was told that if I wanted mid range priced frames that i needed to go to another of their stores. Computers were not working, except for the billing computer. Staff complained a lot about about management decisions on inventory and processes.

I love this place, been going for at least 10 years and it is the same friendly smiles and super helpful advice every time. Never had a bad experience. The staff (shoutout to Dee and Nancy) are great at finding frames you like and look good on you.

The exam portion was very quick and professional. I had the privilege of having Dee assist my daughter and I with our glasses selection and she was absolutely awesome!!

Nice people. The only problem is its hard to try on glasses with a mask on cause of the loops that go around my ears. I need to come in & get them adjusted & tighter cause they feel loose. To be honest I think they have gone too far with the mask. I hear people are still getting sick even when they wear them.

I go here every chance I get because they have great staff and wonderful professional customer service. They always have the best new style of glasses. I’ve never had a problem with my glasses and always left out happy! Julie is who we like to work with, she’s knowledgeable about what works best for your face and how well the glasses fit on your bridge and she’s good at deciding what pair of glasses and style to pick. Julie is a people’s person and just make the experience great!!!

The staff here is always friendly and helpful. I’ve been going to this particular Pearle Vision for years, I’ve even tried others and don’t get the same service as I do here. Right now, they’re taking every precaution to ensure patient safety but are still able to provide awesome service. At a time where people seem to be more in edge, this staff is still kind, patient, and go above and beyond to help. Plus, they have an amazing selection of frames right now.

I first tried the Ferndale location after calling ahead the day before, paid for parking, arrived and was told they were at full capacity and to come back in a week. Luckily I realized this location was nearby. The staff was so friendly and so accommodating. They greeted us at the door and assisted in picking out the style I was looking for. I purchased my glasses the same day. Very happy with my experience.

Great experience from beginning to end. My eye exam was cool the Dr explained in great detail the process and didn’t use eye dr jargon. Then he handed me off to Dee she work the room front to back all level of glass. She knew her frame and history of the frames. I been buying glasses for about 35 years she was very knowledgeable. Losing customers because your staff doesnt know how to look up insurance. Showed up to my appointment with a very common eye insurance and she couldnt find it. Pretty sad*****See their response below is a complete lie. I called back with my vision plan. Its literally called BLUE VIEW VISION which was confirmed with my HR representative. So stop lying and saying this is a medical plan. This is not my medical. I did my part, you didnt do yours. I called two eye centers right after you stood me up and guess what, they had no problem finding it. Your issue is this is an ohio based insurance and you have lousy staff.

This location was very efficient and professional in my recent visit. They had great covid precautions and the whole experience was easy. This is why I have been going for years.

I have come to this place to get contacts and glasses for years. Great doctors, wonderful helpful staff. Always fabulous choice of frames and they work with you and your insurance to find you the best price.

I have gone to this location for two years now. Both times I had an eye exam and got new frames and lenses. The first time I went there I decided to add on an anti-scratch coating to my lenses, and within two weeks it had worn off. I then took my glasses back to ask them about it and they claimed that my glasses must have been a part of the bad batch and they would fix it. Although it was polite of them to fix it at no extra charge (because it was their fault), I couldnt help to wonder why they didnt attempt to contact me if they had known that there was a bad batch of coating and that they would need to be repaired. After the coating was fixed, less than six months later the lenses scratched really badly, so I took them back to see if they could be fixed and the woman that was there said the entire lens would have to be replaced and that I would have to pay for it. I was obviously not happy about that so she told me that it isnt that bad and that I should just suck it up until I could get new glasses. So that is exactly what I did because I was not going to pay for the repair.The year after that I went back hoping that I would have a better experience. I did not. Once again I ordered new glasses and frames. When I went in to pick them up they looked perfectly fine except that they had to be adjusted. The woman adjusting them then came back and told me that my frames were defective and told me she would have to order me new ones. I then noticed that a part of the frames was warped and disfigured. Considering there was nothing wrong with the frames when I first saw them I can only believe that she heated them too much when adjusting them and ruined them. I then waited for a few weeks for my new frames to arrive (which she told me would only take one week), I finally called them to see what was going on and they claimed that the frames (would be here in about a week). They finally arrived and I got the new frames about three weeks after I initially went in.Most recently I went in because the spring hinge on one side of them completely fell apart and I couldnt wear them anymore (keep in mind that I havent had these glasses for even a year). They refused to try and work out an acceptable solution to fix them, and started listing off the prices of getting new frames. After that I politely told them that I would be taking my business elsewhere because there have been too many problems, and I will never go back to a Pearle Vision again.

I always love my experience at Pearle Vision and the staff is like family and they know me and my family. Love you guys .

Upon arrival, we were asked to wait in our cars as they did the paper work over the phone. When we entered, they gave my son and I hand sanitizer and checked our temperature. They provide mask for us because our mask had a vent on it. Everything was very neatly labelled with instructions. Staff was so awesome and friendly! Our doctor was very clear as he spoke to us! Literally, awesome experience from the time I made my appointment until I left!!

I went to Pearle Vision this month to purchase glasses. My friend joined me to help me pick them up. We had so much fun with their representative, Chelsea, that I ended up buying two pairs of glasses and my friend also bought a pair he hadnt been planning to! Chelsea is outstanding! Ask for her when you visit to get your glasses.

Have been coming to PV for a few years and they really have it together! I never have to wait when I arrive. They have all my paperwork together when I get there. The doctors are friendly. And when it comes time to pick out glasses and check out, Hope is hands down the best. She has, on a few occasions, managed my family of four (with two kiddos under the age of 8) in one appointment like a pro. Everyone is helpful, pleasant, and extremely customer oriented, from the time I schedule to the time I pick up my glasses. Thank you for making my life easier by being so organized and helpful!!

Pearle Vision Royal Oak is a first rate operation. I typically see Dr. Kevin Liberman and he does a great job explaining the process of checking the prescription and the results of the pics, scans and test to delve into deeper issues to confirm there is no problem. The staff is always courteous, helpful, timely and prompt. In these days of COVID I observed them to exercise all reasonable precautions and safety measures. I highly recommend Pearle Vision Roya Oak.

I was treated very poorly by customer rep & office manager. I have been patient for Dr koon here for past 3-5 years I believe. They rescheduled my appointment & when I went they couldn’t find my appointment & couldn’t see for my lens exam.So instead they blamed me & were extremely rude to me saying I was 10 mins late. I admit I was late by 5 mins or so. Every Previous appointments I have waited more then 10 mins to see the doctor!!! Foolish employees! I will find another eye doctor.

I visited this location today I was in there for about 10 minutes not one person ask could they help me! They were to busy talking about what they were going to wear out somewhere. There was 3-4 ladies in there. Only 1 lady had a customer!How would you be able to find my info if no one asked could they help me? This is the location on 14 Mile and Woodward right? I know where I was at. You dont have my info cause no one cared to help me!!!

Terrible experience! Took close to 2 months to get my classes. If I wouldnt have called, I would have never gotten them. When I went to pick them up, they did not even want me to step into the store. She brought the glasses opened the door and gave them to me. Mind you, this was after waiting almost 2 months and paying close to $500 for the exam and glasses! I asked her if they would adjust them on my face. This just made her angry. After going through the Covid protocols I sat down. She twisted my glasses for less than 30 seconds and sent me on my way. Once I got home, I inspected my glasses. They sat twisted on my face, when i set them on the counter, one arm was higher than the other and the screw was loose on the one side. So I proceeded to fix what I had paid for and waited 2 months to have fixed. Will never go there again. Terrible customer service, terrible follow up service, just a waste of money and time!

While I appreciated the highly professional service provided by everyone who worked with me during my visit, I especially enjoyed Julies. She immediately made me feel comfortable and unhurried, she made every aspect of our business clear from the beginning, (including her desire that I receive best pricing), and she spent all the time necessary to make sure I made a good choice with new glasses. Julie seemed to reflect the vibe of the business: everyone seemed relaxed yet focused, which is ideal for me. Ill recommend Pearle Royal Oak, and Julie, enthusiastically.

Always helpful and pleasant. The parking lot is crazy which is not their fault but they are quick to ensure that all clients are compliant. Everyone from the desk to the dr. to the opticians are super friendly and helpful. It was a little chaotic and busy but I never felt ignored.

Ive been a patient with this particular eye doctor, technicians, and assistants since my now 24 year old son was an infant and which was when they were located in Northland Mall in Southfield. My favorite is Hope, every time I come to Pearls Vision she makes my experience wonderful. Thats why I always ask for her. Once I came looking for her and a few other people did too and we were told she wasnt there. Nita insisted on helping them, but we all refused and said we would come back when Hope was working. Shes so friendly, patient, truly a people person. Its evident she knows her job well and loves what she does. She sets the model for how all Pearls Vision staff should be. I went into Pearle Vision today to get the nose pads on my glasses repaired. I had never been there before but figured it was a simple fix and it was on my way home from work. It should have been a quick 5 minute fix. However the girl behind the counter was having difficulty getting one of the old nose pads out. Instead of her asking for help she continued to complain about it and kept yanking on it harder and harder. It got to the point where my glasses flew out of her hands and she broke the piece that holds the nose pad onto my glasses. The girl wasnt even apologetic! She kept repeating that it was on there too tightly. Being I was obviously upset, the other woman working finally said she was sorry and that they could offer me half off a pair of frames. Half off frames is basically nothing when I would have to pay for lenses and an exam. Especially considering my glasses were fine when I got there. I will never go there again! It was very unprofessional the way she was yanking on my glasses and then looked at me accusingly while complaining that the pads were tight, as if I had messed with it on purpose. So now I am out of a pair of glasses.Edit: After complaining to corporate, they did own up to their mistake and gave me a new set of glasses. After spending time there, I like that they have extended hours, but I feel the people working there arent that knowledgeable about glasses as I am used to. They are also very busy, so get used to waiting around. Also, if you ever call be prepared to be placed on hold multiple times and have multiple people pick up the phone asking if you have been helped. If you say you have, you will be placed back on hold and forgotten about.

This is, by far, the best place to get your eye exam and eyeglasses. We started going to this staff group when they were DOC in Northland Mall. We loved all of the staff then and we followed them when they became Pearl Vision and also when they relocated to Royal Oak. Were especially fond of Hope. She is the absolute best. Over the years, she has memorized our likes and dislikes. So when my husband, my daughter, and I come in, she already knows that my husband is going to look at every pair in the store. And she has no problem with that at all. She knows what brands my daughter and I like. What I like is that before we even get there, she has already looked at our brands and picked out a few that we might like. She shows us the whole show case and waits to see if we pick what she picked. We are always on the same page. She checks on my husbands selections regularly. She is comfortable enough to give her opinion. We really appreciate that, because so many places will let you walk out of the store with stupid looking glasses, that do nothing for your face. Hope always helps us look our best and she makes sure we get all of our discounts. Hope has a great personal style as well. She always looks professional and stylish. I cant recommend this place. I gave them my insurance number when I made the appointment. There was a little hiccup whenI arrived. My blue Cross app says that I have 100% coverage but they werent seeing that. When i called, the representative at the vision coverage coverage provider said that it was probably because blue cross covered it separately. When I was about to call them, the person behind the counter told me that I was the last appointment of the day and that I needed to make a decision. She said it twice. They were polite up until then but they lost patience and I got the message that they wanted me to leave so I did. The people at LensCrafters have always provided great service so Im going back there.

Walked in, no appointment, was asked to wait. Before I made it two steps towards the waiting area I was called. Told the woman assisting me what I was looking for, she helped me find exactly what I was looking for. She ran my insurance, put my order together, rang me up, and I was out the door in maybe 30 minutes (if that). I was shocked at how inexpensive name brand glasses with transitions were. I paid at least $150 less than I ever had (although I already had my script so that helped). Couldn’t have been happier with my first experience at Pearle Vision at this location. It won’t be my last, that’s for sure!
