Great food and great atmosphere. There was more food than I expected and I’m so glad that I stopped by. I got the chicken fried chicken and gravy and everything was cooked wonderfully. Large portions of potatoes and chicken with 2 eggs cooked your way. There is a wonderful flavor of Mexican background without any spice, so don’t worry about that and all at a wonderful price. 10/10 will be back when we are in the area next year. Wonderful job.

I went here on a Friday night. The staff was great and the food came out relative quick. I ordered fish tacos and buffalo wings. I can say it’s only ok. The food was nothing special. It’s a cool place to eat, other than that, not much to it.

OWL has a relatively small and simple menu but that allows them to do an excellent job with everything on it. Great food, decent prices and friendly staff. The only drawback is seating is very limited but if you can time your visit between the rush hours, it ought to be a good experience for you.

Used to love their chicken fried chicken sandwich but the portions have shrunk significantly as of late. Still one of the better places for tacos in the area

I had the chicken tacos and they were delicious 10 out of 10. They said it was going to be a long wait but ended up being pretty quick about 10 minutes.

Would definitely eat here again great prices and fast service I got a bacon burger only to find out they use habanaro bacon which was a little too much for me they were super kind and understanding about the mix up and the replacement was absolutely delicious.

The avocado toast is mushy guacamole on bread browned on the grill. The bread tasted like rancid oil. The avocado was wet and soggy. For $9 a fresh avocado on actual toast would be better value.

The food was fairy decent! I do wish that it was it bit more tidy when we came but I understand they were busy. My only recommendation would be to add a few more options on the menus. :)

Currently been on hold for over 25 minutes. Calling bc the online ordering system is down. It always seems to be a hassle ordering online or over the phone. Plus the hours are all mixed up. Google says 12 am, the OWL website says 11:30 pm. I miss when they used to open all night, the old owl will be missed greatly. I think it’s time for a break from OWL. I would recommend just driving there if you have the same troubles I do. Otherwise the food is great.

Preferential treatment, food not bad. My daughter and I rode our bikes there today. I went inside to order. The women who took our order was super nice. However, it went down hill from there. I let her know that we wanted to eat outside. She said I’ll give you a to go bag. I didn’t think anything of it. She put our food in black bag, with no napkins. No problem, I sent my daughter in to get some napkins. A couple came in and also ordered and requested to sit outside. My daughter and noticed that the couple received the customary service. Their food was served on trays, complete with napkins and water. The woman who served them came to check on the couple multiple times asking if the food was good and if they needed anything else. The woman who served looked over at us and I thought she would at least ask if we liked the food or if we would like anything else- she said not a word. I was very disappointed . My friend spoke highly of this place, but unfortunately I probably will not be coming back.

Since it first opened, Ive never not been impressed with what Ive gotten from OWL. Whether its an egg sandwich, tacos, a burger, or anything else from their menu, Ive always enjoyed it. Most recently I got the chicken fried chicken with scrambled eggs, cilantro potatoes and peas, and some habanero bacon. I got it as a carryout order and made two meals of it, along with the Texas toast. Flavorful, high quality food in a cool and unique spot on Woodward.

Always busy for a reason. Order ahead and you wont be disappointed. Food is amazing and very different from the norm.

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant around. It is a small, quaint building. Not a lot of seating. Worth the wait. They are open 24 hours six days a week. Sunday, they close earlier. The tacos are absolutely phenomenal! Everything that comes out of that kitchen is five stars. I am blown away with the quality, and taste of their food. The service is amazing. The staff is very kind. FIVE STARS!

The food is great for breakfast and comfort. Three environment feels like a new age retro diner with a alternative modern feel to it. The menu is simple, and its really hard to go wrong with any order. Reasonable pricing. Great place to stop by.

$$$ The most addicting burgers! Im obsessed with their garlic aoli! However, consistency seems to be an issue on food & the order in general. In the 12 times Ive been there, 11 times the order was wrong. They are way to expensive to have these issues. Must try their watermelon drink! Its delicious!

The wings couldve used a bit more seasoning. I like my food a little on the spicy side. Quality was fine.

OWL is always delicious!!! Their nachos are one of my favorite dishes I’ve had at a restaurant, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The only downside is it is a very small restaurant, so there can be a wait for seating. However, their carry out is also a great option!

Great service from the moment we walked in! I asked what came on the Double Layer Nacho and by the way the cashier took a deep breath, I could tell there was going to be a lot of toppings, and she rattles of all these toppings in one breath. I mean she nailed it! Im like, SOLD! They have these juices, I had to try them all!

This place is a one of a kind! Tacos are incredible. Lots of sides and delicious breakfast options.. Burgers are excellent as well. Found this place by chance a couple years ago and now we make a point to stop here when in the area.

Overall a mediocre carryout experience. I got there about 8 minutes after my food was done. The fries tasted like they were made an hour previously. The chicken fried chicken was a decent chicken sandwich. Nothing to write home about. I would bet that dining in is a better experience based on other reviews. I can only review based on my personal experience.

One of the best Mexican(and some fusion) food we have had in Detroit metro area. But oh wow the food was so good. Try chilaquilles- loaded nachos. The nachos were fresh and oh so good. And the chicken soup was full of flavors. Even the chicken wings were right on point. Loved loved loved the food.beat part is it is 24 hr diner themed. That leaves less seating and parking but I am ok with that. Definitely on our frequent visit list.

Ive read plenty of reviews about this place, I will be direct. Limited kitchen space, limited menu, limited seating.Easy, do the things you do, well, no flair required. I was a little concerned by the amount of Michael Jackson music playing & the guy with the man bun & a beard, whom I knew couldnt change a flat tire. Ignoring the obvious distractions I ordered the Nachos & a habanero bacon cheese burger, reviews had guided me to these. No fan fare, simply served as if you were at a food truck.Absolutely delicious! The burger blew me away because it actually tasted as good as advertised, damn good.I was the only caucasian in my predominantly Mexican neighborhood, southern California, near the Mojave desert for almost 10 years back in the day. I promise you, those nachos were the bomb! I absolutely added the sausage chili, are you kidding me! With shaved radishes! I seriously havent had anything like that since the 90s.All that being said, thank you! I was in town from Upstate NY visiting a friend, I will be back next time to order exactly the same thing!

Great 24 hour place for anytime eats. Good price and food comes out quick. Was impressed that I received my order within minutes on a busy Friday night. Had the chicken fried chicken breakfast, the sopa de pollo, chilaquiles, and my wife had the nachos. The cucumber lime drink was easily one of the most refreshing drinks Ive had.

Arrived around 3am keyshon and kasean were the cooks on the clock. It was my first time visiting and decided to try a few things (pictured) and I have to say everything was absolutely delicious. They did a great job and were friendly and extremely helpful at helping me pick out exactly what I wanted to try out. For starters the soup was so flavorful and would of been a great hangover recovery soup had I been drinking but I was sober and it was great. Then the chilaquiles were so good nothing needed to be added as far as flavor they were perfect. I did try all 3 home made salsas and they all had great flavor as well. My favorite was (Arbol) being the hottest available and it had a great flavor. Then came the breakfast plate. The bacon was coocked to perfection. The potatoes were great the homemade blackberry spread was great on the toast as well. Overall this place is a must try. Totally worth the visit and open 24 hours so you never have to wonder if they are open on not. Will come back very soon.

Great place for great food anytime of the day or night. Kind of a Mexican/American brunch spot thats open 24/7. Never had anything bad from there. it is small tho, 2 small 4 person tables and about 20 stools at 2 counters. so if you are planning on sitting down with more than 1 or 2 people at anytime time between 6am and 9pm, Id plan on a wait or just get a carry out. But the food does come out quickly so seats empty rather quickly most of the time, but as I said, sitting more than 2 ppl together can be tough. But it is def worth trying out. Chicken fried chicken and chorizo hash are top notch. Also, the cinnamon rolls hot off the flat top are great, if you have room! Also suggest you try the soup and/or the chili and the tacos

I’ve never had bad food from this spot. The burger easily became one of my favorites in the entire area. The fries are excellent and nicely seasoned. The nachos are incredible and were my favorite menu item until I tried the burger. Prices can be a bit high, but the food is so good that it’s worth it.

Didnt have the dirty silverware marked so we ended up not knowing that we ate with dirty utensils, but the food was awesome.

Chicken burrito was delish! Burger and curly fries were wonderful, too! Looking forward to many more meals here.

The burger is good, but I order so infrequently from here that I always forget the fries are whatever. But whats really driving this review is my confusion as to why any restaurant in the metro detroit area would offer chili fries with beans in the chili, bunch of savages. I didnt even open the container once I saw it in there. I get that theyre going for a house made from scratch approach but beanless chili is the only chili for fries, Im looking for a dipping sauce, not an entire chunky meal.

Food is very good if not a little expensive. I’ve only eaten here for lunch and it’s been slow when ordering online. I suggest calling in your order instead.

Super weird because the food looks good and the environment and staff vibe but 3 trips and im just really underwhelmed by the foods flavors. Maybe lack of seasoning? All I know is it really has not been worth the price yet. Wont come back again honestly but I like the thought of their menu items and place maybe staff will come and go and things will change
