He was able to take in the fabric exactly where I needed, and left it adjustable (no cuts) for any future alterations needed. I needed a rather short turnaround to have it ready for a wedding, and he was able to have it ready early in case any further adjustments were needed. Thank you!

By far the best experience Ive had with a tailor and Ive been to most of them in Michigan. Terrific service. Knowledgeable about many aspects of tailoring. I have a permanent injury to one shoulder and it is very difficult to fit. Prices are below average and quality is above average. I got a custom jacket and shirt this time. Ill be wearing this tweed for 20 years. My next order will be a bespoke suit. Working with a tailor is so much more rewarding than shopping at a store. I feel like my best self when I am wearing something that was made for me. Its always cheaper in the long run than buying things that dont fit right and dont last. And Mohammed is the best in the area.
I originally went in to get a bridesmaids dress altered. It was done extremely quickly and done well,. The alterations were reasonably priced. I ended up going back for alterations on my own wedding dress because I wanted to make some slight changes, and I was so impressed with the atmosphere and quality of work previously and the alterations my fiancé had gotten on some suits. I worked with Barbara and she was wonderful. Everything was done extremely well and in a timely manner. We will be returning for all of our alterations and custom clothing needs.

Recently had Crown Custom Clothing alter a few suits for some weddings I would be standing in and he made it look like I turned from rags to riches. Off the shelf suits never fit well and Mohammed did a fantastic job. So much so that I went back and purchased a custom suit for my wedding at the end of the year. Suit was very reasonably priced and it turned out fantastic. This is the only place I’ll be bringing clothes for alterations or need for new suits and shirts.
I wasnt sure of where to go for a few shirt alterations of shirts I got from the store that were a little too big. I looked around online and Crown was on the way from work so I decided to drop in and get my shirts done. The gentleman there was great, efficient and super knowledgeable, my shirts were no rush and got the fixes done in less than a week, and after sizing initially he had me try them on and did some last minute alterations all within the 15 minutes I stopped in to pick them up. Great quality here! Ill be back for sure!

Tailoring a suit is fine. I ordered a custom blue trench coat that was supposed to have custom details and be tailored to me. To my surprise, the owner ordered a BLACK trench coat and forced me to take it as all purchases are no refundable. Even after trying to get my money back, his own receipt hand written “Blue Coat”, trying to dispute it, he fought it all the way. Buyers be careful. His ordering mistake cost me over $1000. Essentially stole 1k from me and didn’t fix it. The coat isn’t even tailored and he shipped in a box and came wrinkled.The gentleman is a Muslim, and I will be seeking justice whether in this life or the next. Shame that you carry the prophets name (pbuh). Enjoy scamming people in this life.
I came to Crown Tailor expecting great service based on the reviews I had read. I had them fit a dress shirt for me that was very special to me. I’m extremely small and everything that I like doesn’t ever come near fitting me. Prior to finding Crown Tailoring, I hated the outrageous tailor fees. I HIGHLY recommend them, but do recommend working directly with Mohammed, the owner. He understands exactly what you’re asking for the first time, while sometimes his employees have trouble understanding cuts/style terms like “bootcut”. Always ready when promised, too!

I needed a suit and a couple shirts rushed in for a wedding, and they were made with time to spare so that I could be sure they fit before the event. They are the most comfortable piece of clothing I have ever had. Ill definitely go back for more shirts and some alterations.
Mo deserves all of the positive reviews he has received. He made me two suits at a very reasonable price. On multiple occasions, I have had people who I don’t know approach me about my suit to compliment it and ask where I bought it. His suits are outstanding.
I have never gotten alterations on clothing before, but needed some work done on a jumpsuit for my engagement photos. I am SO GLAD I found Crown Custom Clothing, they do an excellent job and are extremely timely. I thought I only needed the length fixed, but they were able to make a few other hems/adjustments that made my outfit fit perfectly. I wanted a totally custom suit for my wedding. Mens Wearhouse and Jos A Bank talked about custom suits, but pretty much just had tailored catalog suits. Mohammed really took the time to understand what I wanted to make the suit really feel like my suit. The results were great, and Im glad that I spent a little more money to do it right. Mohammad is not only an amazing tailor, but an amazing person as well. My first time going to him based off reviews here. I wanted someone that cares about small details and overall quality of their work. I didn’t want anyone touching my suit that i know wasn’t the best of the best. Well, Mohammad is thee best of the best. Not only did my tuxedo fit wonderfully, Mohammad finished with a tight schedule. I dropped it off Monday and he was ready Thursday morning as promised. After I got my dress shirt from the cleaners, i realized it was way too baggy. It was 7:30 and my event was tomorrow. I called Mohammad panicking seeing what he can do. Even though he closed at 8, he told me to come in. I arrived at 7:50 and he was finished by 8:30. He stayed over time just to help me and he did it at no cost just to help me out. Not only did he gain a loyal customer, but a friend as well.
I initially came to Mo to get some shirt sleeves shortened. Im 56 and never could find a dress shirt that fit perfect. When I picked up the shirt from Mo and tried it on it was an unfamiliar feeling having a dress shirt actually fit. One shirt lead to all my dress shirts, then pants, then my off-the-rack suits.Eventually I decided to get my first bespoke suit. It took some time, but understand you cannot rush quality. Once my suit was ready, I stopped in to try it on. In my eyes it fit perfect, to Mo it did not. A few minor touches needed to be made, details I would have never noticed; apparently one of my arms is just a tad longer than the other. I never doubted his ability before, but this was when I knew for sure this guy was the best!
Mohammed was very friendly and knowledgeable. His pricing, however, was extremely steep. Just to fix the gapping in my top and the hem on my wedding dress he wanted to charge 110% more than what I paid for my dress. Going elsewhere. The custom men’s jackets looked incredible though. Would not recommend for wedding dresses.

Ive been sold on Crown Tailor since finding an ill fitting leather jacket at Salvation Army for $10. I took it to Crown and with their magic have an absolutely perfect jacket. Mohammad took my pleated, cuffed suit pants and turned them into slim, modern suit pants. This is no easy task from what I understand. He did this on time for a wedding I had to attend and for about half the cost of some other tailors in the area. Will highly recommend!! Next time I need a dress shirt he is making me one!

Mo was wonderful.. he altered my dress for my daughters wedding and did a great job. He had to do a lot of modifications on the top to make it fit correctly and I was impressed with his attention to detail.
I live in St. Clair Shores, so its a bit of a drive for me, but definitely worth the trip.My suit required a bit of work to get right, shortening the sleeves at the shoulders, lowering the collar, letting out and hemming the pants, but the final result is outstanding.In addition, I also had the sleeves let out on a vintage peacoat from the 1940s and the fit a dress shirt adjusted.Outstanding work, never pushy and very friendly. Ill definitely be coming back when I need alterations done in the future.

I am so glad I chose this establishment to alter a sport coat and pant. I worked with Mohammed, who is a master tailor, and more importantly, is a kind, patient, and empathetic man who prides himself on providing for his customers. I felt unbelievably comfortable and confident in his abilities, and could not have been happier with the results. He helped convert a sport coat that was more classic in cut, to modern form shortening both the sleeves and the length of the jacket. Countless times the sport coat has been mistaken for high end italian designers. The prices are very reasonable, and his ability to accommodate last second alterations was truly a life saver. I dropped off mid afternoon on a Wednesday in anticipation of a Friday wedding and I picked up both tailored to perfection on Thursday evening. I could not have asked for more from a tailor. Five stars! I will absolutely be recommending this establishment to my friends and family.

I went to Crown Custom Clothing after reading other Google and Yelp reviews. I am glad that I went to Crown Custom Clothing! The purpose of my visit was to have an expensive Harris Tweed suit that I bought in Scotland tailored. When I entered the store, I was immediately met by Mohammed and his assistant who welcomed me into their store. Mohammed took the time to explain the areas where the suit needed to be tailored and why. He was quick and efficient during the time he was placing pins in the jacket and marking the pants for hemming and asked me for my feedback in how I was hoping the suit would fit when he was done. We agreed that I would pick the suit up one week later.When I went back after a week, my suit was tailored and cleaned. Mohammed asked me to put the suit on to make sure I was happy with the way it turned out, and I have to say that I have never had a suit fit me so well after having him work on it. The area of concern on the jacket now look perfect, and the hem on the pants sits exactly where I wanted it and breaks perfectly where it should for a modern suit.Not only was I apprehensive about finding a place that would do great work on an expensive suit, I was also concerned that it wouldnt come out exactly how I wanted it. After working with Mohammed, I can say that as long as he is in business, I will not go anywhere else!

This guy knows his suits! I only go to him when it comes to getting my jackets altered. He has never provided anything but the best.
Excellent workmanship and great communication on multiple occasions. It took me years to find a tailor that actually listened to what I wanted in terms of alterations, and Mr. Kalam obviously had the skill to back it up as well. After a long search, he is my only tailor now.
