Ive been a musician/ going to shops for 20 years now, and can finally say Ive found my guitar shop as of the last two years. These guys are simply fantastic. They have all the essentials, and some fun stuff too. They are incredible guys - honest, fast, experienced and they do great work. Set-up turnaround times are rarely more than a day and always love how my guitars feel afterward. Thanks guys, and looking forward to many more years of business!

Dropped off my amp for repair and there wasnt anything wrong with it, my problem is external to the amp itself. When I picked it up, they even gave advice on how to troubleshoot my issue.They could have taken me for a ride and didnt.Very cool. Thank you!

They always have everything I need good people

Took an AMP there thinking there was something wrong. It was checked and returned free of charge. Didnt try to take advantage of a novice and simply sprayed contact cleaner and returned it. That kind of honesty went a long way with me and they earned my business going forward.

Great local music shop. I was excited to see that they now carry Electro Harmonix pedals. I jumped on picking up a 5mm Power Amp. Very useful tool for recording, practice, or performing. They carry new and used items. Very competitive pricing with online and other stores. Ill be back.

Great advice and friendly service!

First I brought in my acoustic that Ive been playing for 7 years and had never brought in for an adjustment. When I got it back it felt like a brand new guitar and played so much nicer than before.I was so happy with the quality of work I convinced my father to let me drop off his guitar, along with a guitar that is a gift for a friend.Within 24 hours I got a call that the guitars were ready to be picked up. They both felt like butter and played very comfortably. The team at Rutherford Music Exchange are knowledgeable and very friendly. I got some great advice on my effects pedal set up and I walked away a very happy customer.

Wow. The guy is a magician. Another store couldnt figure out/fix my Fernandes electric guitar with built-in amp, speaker and effects but Tony did, and he did it at a very reasonable price.

Excellent music store. Brought a bass in to get set up with new strings fully expecting to come back to get it the end of the week. 3 hours later I got a call saying it was ready. Amazing.

I didnt even imagine that my 100$ guitar an be made playable, so that I can actually start playing it for fun. Those guys did a miracle. And a very affordable one )

Just happen across this review and felt it necessary to retort. Obviously the above comment was written by either a complete idiot, or a competitor. For starters, if you were that unhappy with something you bought there why not return it? Secondly, having dealt with the staff there for well over 20 years, they are absolute professionals. I trust no one else with my repairs and sales. Period. No place stays in business over 20 years by screwing people. Also, if you know anything about guitars, even the most novice of the players would know that if a guitar has a broken truss rod, Pat Metheny wouldnt even be able to play it, let alone a beginner. I know if I saw a piece of metal sliding in and out of a guitar, Id pass on buying it in the first place. So before you decide to slam a reputable store, try to get at least ONE of your facts straight to make you sound somewhat believable.That said, you will have no worries dealing with Tony or anyone at Rutherford Music. All a bunch of stand-up people there.

Great small shop. Great teachers and great repair work.

Very knowledgeable and helpful, not the cheapest compared to online stores but you know what you buy and they test and tune most of what they sell.
