Keyser Oil has been servicing my duplex in Proctor for over 35 years. This company has treated me like family and have always been there for me when my furnaces acted up and/or needed service. Even when I would call upset about some issues with my heating systems they would always remain polite and professional.Trish Peschl does a great job in the office and responds quickly to requests for information or to relay to the technicians what needs to be done. You can’t go wrong with Keyser Oil Company and they get my highest rating. As I am selling my duplex in Proctor, I am certainly referring the buyer of my property to Keyser to maintain the existing heating systems, as they are the ones who have well maintained it for over 35 years. Kudos to Keyser Oil Company!

Prices are a little higher this year due to COVID but Keyser has veterans discount pricing that helped us out a lot.Trish Peschl is so witty and understanding. Cody was great with my A/C install. He went out of his way to personally go and get my unit from NH on the morning of my install so that it would happen as scheduled. The installers were very pleasant and professional, even when they had to work outside in the pouring rain. They always cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend their service.

I spoke to a lot of companies, if not all in VT. Most were very nice up until the point when asking questions. As a customer who will be paying money that I worked hard for, I would expect clear and calculated answers. Keyser Energy was by far the most informative, professional and understanding for my unique situation. General or District Manager was very helpful. I was not easy to deal with given the circumstances I was in but the guy was a professional. Service department was awesome. Corporate experience was quick and gentlemen was very funny throughout process. The guys who came to my home to install tank, check leaks and actually in detail explain the procedures as they were working was simply the BEST. This should be the only company or other companies should seek their model, professional services and support. Thank You Keyser Energy and everyone that helped me get services up and running. Life raising a 3 yr old boy is hard enough but you company has made that a lot easier. Laundry, heating and cooking are all good. Thx again!!!

On May 5, 2021 Mike C. arrived to repair what we thought might be a faulty thermostat. After looking at the thermostat and the furnace, Mike knew right away what the problem was and promptly fixed it. While at the house, Mike was polite, thorough, he wore a mask and explained in laymans terms what he did. I was very impressed by his professionalism and knowledge. Yesterday we had no heat in the morning so we called Keyser and they immediately sent Mike Campbell out to come and take a look. Mike was so friendly, knowledgeable and beyond a blessing to have in our home to work on our heater. He not only dealt with the problem with our heater he also dealt with the mess of our basement and home and the yelling and such of our 3 kids that he never once got annoyed with. We ended up talking with him again last night (almost 8 at night) and he took time out of his night to FaceTime us and just explain what we needed, even said he would come back out if we needed him too. Id say thats a hard working guy that goes above and beyond for his customers and shows it, I think he deserves to get recognized for all the hard work he does and how much time he takes out of his own personal life to help others! This past winter our furnace quit on us.l called Keyser Energy, and a very nice lady answered my call.From that they came shortly after. They did a thorough inspection and with there many many years of experience found the problems very quickly. these two men busted their butts and did a beautiful job. Originally quoted a price of $199 for annual boiler inspection that ended up being $450 after the technician changed the oil filter causing an oil leak that he could not stop. He didnt bother to tell us before he departed that he had installed a new $250 part to stop the leak that was not leaking before he serviced the boiler. Took two weeks and three phone calls to get a serviceman out to finish the work. Keyser did credit us $75 for the wait.Fast forward 3 weeks, we dont use the boiler much as we heat primarily with wood, but after returning home from a 4 day trip during the last cold spell, we fired up the heat upon arriving home. To our surprise, no heat. We called Keyser the next morning to come fix thinking it was under warranty after the $450 tune-up, but no, another $437 charge plus we had to sand the driveway for $60 because the technicians 1 wheel drive van with no winter tires could not make it up a hill in 1/2 of snow.Overall, the company lacks communication, delivers poor service, wont stand behind their work, and has higher oil prices than other oil companies in the area. I have heard this many times from co-workers at the office and upon reading other reviews it seems to be standard operating procedure. Needless to say, they have lost a customer. Thanks for the opportunity to share our experience. We hope it helps others save a lot of time and money.

We worked with Cody Parker and an associate engineer to survey and discuss options for replacing our home oil burner. They were both professional, courteous, thoughtful and responsive. We appreciated their COVOID-19 precautions and active initiative to obtain consent on both how and where to move around in our home. (i.e. Is it ok if we wear our work shoes into your home? Can we see the rooms upstairs to inspect valves and measure?) I have confidence they are representative of the whole company. We were pleased and are buying an oil burner :)

I was broke down at my facility with no hot water. I called Keyser energy they were booked solid with work i asked if they could come in on saterday They agreed. They sent down Mike and Todd, two professional men who tordown and installed the new tank within a couple of hours. Both were VERY professional. I do a lot of business with Keyser Energy: filling multiple properties that i own with fuel oil. I couldnt be happier with the service.

Keyser has been a great company to work with. They sent a tech out to help with the tank and he noticed some bigger issues before starting his work. In the end we purchased a new tank, with the help from Gary, and he had a team come in to install it was great. They (Mike and Jordan) explained the work that was done and completed the job in a timely manner.

We recently had a Daikin heat pump installed by Keyser Energy and we couldnt be more pleased. It was a very pleasant experience, Gary was so helpful in answering all of questions going into it and found the perfect spot in our house for the placement of the unit. Todd and John did an excellent job with the installation. We came home at the end of our work day to a very comfortable and cool house. It looks awesome and they were so neat and clean, you would have not known anybody had been there inside or out, not one thing left behind or out of place. We are thrilled, to say the least!!!! One top of all of that we received $900 in rebates. Thank you Keyser Energy, not only for keeping us warm in the winter time, but now also keeping us cool in the summer time!!!!

Mike, Keyser Technician, did a great job in cleaning up my propane furnace that was fouled up by a mouse entering the exhaust pipe. He explained what he was doing and answered all of my questions in order to help prevent this from happening in the future. He did this proficiently in a short amount of time.

My family has done business with Patchs Petroleum, a division of Keyser, since they bought the house Im currently selling since November 1958. Although there have been few, on every occasion Keyser has responded to my emergencies the same day. My last urgent call was close to 3pm on a Friday afternoon. Mike Campbell was the technician that was sent. It turned out to be a major overhaul that lasted way past quitting time on a Friday evening. We werent even sure that the problem I was experiencing was related to the furnace, but he could tell that the furnace wasnt working properly and made it easy for me to understand why. He left me his phone number in case I had a problem over the weekend. He called and texted me throughout the next few days to make sure everything was okay. He also checked in with his supervisor during his initial visit to get his feedback on what he thought the problem might be. One thing he did that impressed me, was to leave the old parts he replaced on the workbench, so when I had to explain to my husband what he had done, all he had to do was look at the fittings on the bench to figure it out. I ran a hardware store for nearly 15 years, so I do have a basic understanding of how everything works.Whenever I call Keyser Energy I always get treated with the utmost respect. 99% of the time the technician who comes to the house for deliveries or service is polite and thorough. Mike went above and beyond the average technician by being so informative, cleaning up after himself and keeping me informed on his progress. I wish every company had someone like Mike Campbell to be the liaison between the company and the customer.Thank you for providing a place on your website where customers can write a review. Keyser is terrible. I explained my exact request on the phone and they claimed they could handle it. After waiting all day for them to show up, they werent able to perform the requested oil fill and instead tried to upsell me on a new tank. Meanwhile, the driver was bad mouthing the company and their polices the entire time he was here. I was beyond outraged with their service and the next day I called another company which filled the tank in about an hour without any of the drama. Use anybody else!

Do not use this company! Their automatic delivery send heating oil at peak prices, I have averaged costs from them at $0.40 per gallon over the VT average at the time of delivery. They are scamming hard working Vermonters out of their money, and abusing the automated delivery system.

Keyser Energy was a horrible oil company to work with in the Rutland area. We were signed up for automatic delivery and we ran out of oil on the coldest weekend to date. We called the main number and did not get an answer so I called the parent company, Dollarwise Oil, and they said someone would call me within 20 minutes. I waited 2 hours and received no call. I called Dollarwise again and got a call an our and a half later. They filled our tank but when we got the bill, the price seemed inflated (called several companies in the area and they were at $2.80 that weekend and we were charged $3.49). I called Keyser during the work week to 1) see if we were charged more because it was an emergency order (even though it wasnt our fault) and 2) what were they going to do to make sure this didnt happen again. They admitted their prices are high and they are trying to work on it and they had given me a $25 voucher. The customer service representative said that to ensure it not happening again, I should watch my oil gauge and let them know when it got low. I told her I signed up for automatic refill so I would not have to watch the gauge, especially now that I have a newborn. After sharing this information with my husband, we decided we no longer wanted to work with Keyser so I called back later in the week to discontinue being a customer. The person answering said she would have someone call me back within the next two days to talk to me more about this. No one ever called. I called the end of the next week and stated my complaint and that I would no longer like to be a customer and would like them to send me a letter stating I was no longer a customer. When I did not get such letter within a week I called again to confirm I was no longer a customer because I did not get the confirmation letter and she stated she saw the note they were suppose to send me a letter, sorry I didnt get it and that in their notes it showed I was no longer an automatic delivery customer. I just got an email in the last couple days (this all happened about a month ago) stating it was confirming we still are an automatic delivery customer. I called and left a message today for someone to call me back concerning this because I do not want them to deliver. I have yet to hear back. Stay away from this company, they have horrible customer service and seem to be lousy managing their business.
