The best record store Ive been to, period. The selection there is incredible, one of the few places that has the selection for the genres I enjoy most (reggae, rap, and R&B modern/oldies). His used and new collections are super strong and, though I truly appreciate many record stores, none of them touch what they do at Mountain Man.Not only is the selection there incredible, the equipment sold there is really cool. Ive got this incredible set up in my living room all thanks to the owner. I had a few issues with the speakers, but he literally made it the easiest, most convenient process Ive ever experienced in retail. It didnt even feel like I was dealing with a business. He kept moving pieces around, testing parts, swapping out components until I had a system that worked perfectly. Buying used is difficult in the first place, Mountain Music made the whole process painless and Ive got an incredible set up because of their help.Cant recommend this place more. Not only is this an amazingly stocked records store, they also have beautiful silver jewelry and music tech for your listening needs. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and truly remember their customers music tastes! Highly recommend a stop at this great store!!

I used to drive to this store on a regular basis from as far away as Albany, New York when it was located in The Diamond Run Mall. Now that Ive made Vermont my forever home, Im excited to become a regular customer of Mountain Music. This store is the absolute go-to place to buy music, and is literally worth the trip from anywhere.

Fantastic place for vinyl lovers! Always have great deals and a great staff that keeps me coming back! Have found on many occasions some vinyl records that are hard to find for reasonable prices. The staff is willing to take your name and number for records that you may want so they can look for them as they buy in collections from vinyl lovers.

This independent record and jewelry store is currently located in the Diamond Run Mall in Rutland and they are pretty much the only reason to shop at that mall. The staff are very nice and friendly and they usually can help you find what you are looking for. They can special order items for you as long as theyre available and in print. If its a rare and out of print vinyl, they will do their best to try to get it for you. They do participate in Record Store Day in which they would carry exclusive limited edition releases on vinyl.

I love stopping by this shop whenever Im in the Rutland area. The store has a broad selection of records and there is somehow always new stock for me to paw through. The albums are very reasonably priced and I find the grading to be honest and accurate. The owner has always been very friendly and is always spinning records when Ive visited the shop.Im not 100% sure why this store makes me so happy, but its a weird thrill to pick up a couple new-to-me albums and head home to listen to them. Such an excellent record store!

Both times we stopped in for claddagh rings for each of our children. The rings are beautiful. The gent, and lady there were so helpful. We will be back. The handmade jewelry is skillfully, and artistically designed.

Found this little gem on a walk through the boneyard (empty mall) and ventured in. They have great jewelry, used CD, body jewelry and vinyl. The service and prices are great and the lady working there is friendly and attentive. Worth a visit.

I bought a turn table, receiver and speakers here. The owner was very nice and helpful, he has a lot of options you can put together. Have also found a couple good vinyls. They label their vintage records with +s and -s pretty well, so you know most of the time what the condition is... if there are scratches. My friend bought some t-shirts, they have those as well.

Mtn Man has the best selection of jewelry, from rings to bracelets and earrings. Ive been buying from then for over 20yrs, and couldnt be happier with the quality and service!!

I recently purchased a pair of earrings and did not realize that I had left them in the store until I drove 4 hours home... Meshach did not hesitate to throw them in the mail to me, and kindly refused to let me pay for the shipping! Meshach is so helpful and honestly one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. My boyfriend and I used to take weekly trips to sort through his new selection of vinyls but since we moved we have only been able to take a trip there monthly, but stopping here is always a priority! If you are a music lover, or want some new music suggestions, I highly recommend taking a trip to Mountain Man. We need more stores like this!!
