I’ve purchased a lot of vehicles, and this was possibly the best experience. I do not live nearby, and the owner met me half way for delivery. Everyone was extremely friendly. I highly recommend purchasing a vehicle here.

Well I broke down today on a trike they couldnt work on it but I spent about 4 hrs there waiting for a wrecker! They were so nice to me as I was sitting in the hot sun, they kept bringing me out water and even gave me some chicken for lunch unexpectedly they went above and beyond to help me as I was just looking for a place to wait I found that extremely kind they didnt have to do any thing for me excellent staff! Didnt buy a vehicle but next one I get will be from them for sure! Thank you guys for being so helpful!

This was by far the easiest vehicle purchase weve ever made. They took care of all the paperwork and entire process so seamlessly. Customer Service was exceptional and we loved the personal attention we received. Family owned company and we now have a trusted place to have our vehicles serviced. Very disappointed. I had a great first experience with this company, but now I’m wondering if that was just a random situation. About 4-5 months after purchasing a Ford Explorer from them, we found out we were expecting another child. We needed a bit more room in the backseat to accomodate the car seats (but other than that we were still happy with the Explorer) so went to them asking if they would take back the vehicle if we could find another that would work and trade it out. We did find a vehicle just a bit bigger and when it came down to pricing they would not work with us at all to help us get the vehicle. It was a matter of 20-25 a month to keep it within budget. I noticed the last time they would not negotiate even a little on prices, and it really hurt my feelings to go out of my way to give them good reviews, tell my friends and family all about them only to be treated like there was nothing they could do to help us with the minor monthly price difference . It honestly felt like a slap in the face. I even emailed them twice afterward explaining my frustration and neither the company or the person who had helped me even bothered to email me back. Again, slap in the face. It really doesn’t seem like they stick by their advertisement that they want to “earn your business” When I find a good company and good people to work with, I make it a point to spread the word. I will send anyone I can their way. It’s really too bad they didn’t seem to care much about our business.(and not to mention, after only 4-5 months of owning the vehicle I was only going to get back $8500 when I paid closer to 12,000) A vehicle that was not driven much at all and I was planning on trading for another vehicle from them not somewhere else.) Just so very disappointing.

My girlfriend and I purchased a vehicle from Sabattus Auto and were blown away with how awesome all of the staff treated us. They set us up for a test drive very quickly, made the paperwork end easy and understandable. Most of all; we ran into payment problems using a debit card for the down payment, we needed to leave and get cash which by then was after hours. They were more than understanding and finished up with us after theyre closing time, allowing us to get the vehicle still that day. Hard to find a used car dealer with integrity like Sabattus Auto Sales! Even with no warranty they still stand by their products and take pride in what they sell. DJ and Laura are great to work with! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

UPDATE 2017-05-13Im writing with an update to my original review. To summarize, our vehicle manifested a problem after less than 600 miles which, ultimately, required over $2,800 of repairs at our local Toyota dealer. Sabattus Auto & Truck Sales initially attempted to remedy the problem, but was unable, and subsequently declined to cover the permanent repair. To be fair, the part that failed was not covered under Sabattus limited warranty. Additionally, Sabattus staff did pay for the cost of diagnosis at the dealer, and were generally professional and prompt.The fact remains, however, that Sabattus Auto & Truck Sales sold a vehicle which developed a costly problem almost immediately, and did not make an additional effort to resolve the problem in what I believe is an exceptional circumstance. Even our local Toyota dealer arranged for the factory to pay for some of the parts, and to discount their own labor, in the interest of customer satisfaction - and we didnt even buy the vehicle there!In the end, we still got what we hope is a great truck post-repairs, albeit for an extra $1,700 out-of-pocket. As a result I can no longer recommend Sabattus Auto & Truck Sales, and am lowering my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars.ORIGINAL POSTAfter several weeks of shopping for a used vehicle online and at dealers near and far, we finally found the exact truck we wanted here. The lot was stocked with well-maintained used vehicles, with fair prices. Our sales person, Reggie, was easy to work with from the test drive, to inspection, to paperwork, and final pick-up. About two months after the purchase, we had a problem. Laurie scheduled us for an appointment the next day, and their shop fixed it promptly - and the issue wasnt even one that was covered by the warranty. I have high standards for my vehicles and related service providers, and Sabattus Auto & Truck Sales has met them entirely. Thanks for a great experience, and well definitely be back the next time were in the market for a used car.

Driving from Bar Harbor to New York, our car developed a strong vibration. DJ spent half an hour diagnosing the problem, test driving, etc. Brake calibers werent available same day and we had to return that night. He felt that we could probably continue if at a slower speed. We did and came back to local shop. DJ absolutely refused to accept any payment or gratuity for his time and advice. You dont find many businessmen of his integrity.

Very helpful! Bought a truck from dj and even thought something was mechanically broken after I bought it and was not covered under warranty he ate the bill! Great family company to buy from.

These guys are great! I was on my way up I-95 from NJ to Stonington, pulling a trailer, when my serpentine belt broke. I was right at the exit for Rt. 9 so pulled off hoping to find some place safe to pull over. Well, I couldnt go far because the engine was way hot. I happened to stop on the road right in front of Sabattus. Being a single woman traveling alone, I was very worried. Well, these guys got my rig into their lot (no power steering!) and had me fixed up and on the road again within an hour! They couldnt have been nicer and I really appreciate their help!!

I believe their undercoating service is very good.Their used vehicle look nice and quality looks very good.

Great family owned truck,and car buisness

They have lots of nice trucks here if you are looking for a good work truck for a fair price I suggest going to take a look.

Drove 8 hours all the way from New Jersey to buy a truck from here, I asked a lot of questions over the phone to which they were able to answer all to the best of their ability, when I arrived the truck was as described and the price was well below market value. Test drive the truck and bought it with no warranty (understandable) however about an hour into the ride home the low coolant light came on and the water pump was leaking like crazy. Called them back up and although I had no warranty they still took the truck and replaced the water pump for free which would’ve cost me well over $1000 to have replaced on top of whatever it would’ve cost me to have the truck towed the whole rest of the way home. Along with doing the repair they even drove the truck down to me once it was fixed. I waited a couple months to write this review to really get a feel for the trucks reliability and see if I would run into any more issues but I’ve gotta say it’s a hell of a truck and has yet to let me down since then. I’ve driven it half way across the country and back a couple times now without any hiccups. These guys really stand behind their vehicles and they were a great group to do business with. I would highly recommend.

Failed to honor their warranty. Truck developed a manifold leak the day after buying. They tell me the trucks designed to tick like that as well as saying they found no leaks. But after having a licensed dodge dealer inspect the truck the dealer found there to indeed be a manifold leak. Returned to sabattus to have fixed where i was then given the response because its a minor leak and not a maine state inspection issue we cant do anything about it. But then tell me that when it gets louder they can fix it for a discounted price. When asked what that would be the mechanic couldnt give me a clear answer. Sad that this dealer would sell me a 17k truck and then fail to stand by their vehicle.As well as not honoring their warranty which clearly states Exhaust Manifolds as a warranty backed problem. Never doing business with these guys again and making sure anyone looking for a vehicle steers clear of these guys.Edit:After seeing others agreeing with my review and reading your response I find it questionable how you guys are still even in business. You openly ignore the fact I had the leaking manifold confirmed by a dealer that you could not find obviously your mechanics are incompetent or you deliberately chose to deny me my warranty. Yes I modified my exhaust system AFTER the first time i dropped the truck off to have looked at by your mechanics. You assured me it was just the motor ticking and that it was normal. I put a dual exhaust to try to drown the ticking out as it was only getting louder. I returned the truck to you after and you tried then and seemingly now to blame ME for the noise? The exhaust was professionally installed...... and the fact you thought we resolved the problem shows how incapable you are with customer service. By the way, the truck also had a battery twice as small as it should have. Did your trusty mechanics you stand behind think that was a smart idea? Do the world a favor and stop scamming hard working individuals. Or at least do a better job of lying.

Read Zachs review, seems pretty legit to me. Read the dealers response, seemed a lot like a run-around response. Thanx zak, Im taking my 24K elsewhere. EDIT to response: Of course you dont have any record of me. That is the POINT of reviews to begin with. To AVOID problems before they even begin. I see youve gained another couple 2 and 1 stars since I posted this. Sounds to me like I made the right choice. Maybe you should re-read your 5 star ratings. Look at Michael Mannions for example (which he posted AFTER your reply to mine). So much for the 5 star theory eh :D The moral of the story is.... dont screw people over and you wont have to deal with bad reviews that affect people like me. Im an example of a customer you could have had if you had better reviews.
