Lovely, wide open shop. Owner is very nice and helpful. Good selection of basics, reproductions, holiday prints and 30s as well as patterns, notions and thread, including Aurifil.

If you have a quilt top thats done and you need to have it quilted this is your place. They do a beautiful job and quite reasonably. Pauline is a very respectable and an awesome individual who has one of the most awesome quilt shop! Not sure why there are negative comments about her? Pauline, the shop owner, is always helpful and responsive to my needs. She has 2 wonderful quilting machines in the shop. Her prices are very reasonable and fabric is of good quality. I am a beginner long-armer and she has been so so helpful with that also. It is a smallish shop but well worth the effort to get there. I find a special something every time I go there.

This quilt shop has Janome machines, a fair amount of fabric, and a classroom with 12 machines for students to use and 2 bathrooms. Longarming services available. Friendly help. Looking forward to taking a class once the owner returns post op in a few weeks.

Pauline, the owner, has been VERY HELPFUL in teaching me tricks of the trade when making quilts. Always polite and answers all of my questions. She does a terrific job with her long arm machines finishing my projects. I recommend her shop and her quality workmanship.

Pauline is always helpful and very willing to share tips and helpful advice. Her fabric lines are gorgeous and the shop is a delight to visit. Wish I could go there every day!

I visited Half Square last week for the first time. I was skeptical because of the negative reviews posted here but I really wanted to shop for fabrics on this trip. What did I find? A rather lovely shop with a kind and helpful owner. She was equally kind to others shopping at the same time. No pressure, no fuss, no fakery...just kindness. I left with about a dozen different fabrics which are all beautiful additions to my stash. Im not local to New England, but I do visit a few times a year. Ill admit parking was a bit of a challenge but that wont stop me. Ill definitely be back!

The Half Square quilt shop has been a lovely addition to the Saco downtown. The shop offers fabrics and supplies as well as classes and long arming services. The owner has been kind enough to allow me to participate in her blocks of the month via mail as I am only a summer resident! This shop is worth a stop for any quilter in the area.

I recently made a purchase from HSQS. I am very pleased with my order. I have also spoken to the owner for questions I had, and she was great. I will definitely be ordering more from her in the future. :)

Lunch break was 1-2pm. Who closes that long when it is a tiny shop? I called at 2:30pm and the call went to voice mail. I waited 45 minutes=2:45pm and the shop never opened (Friday) and I never got a call back. To bad for the owner. I suggest better communication or shorter lunch breaks or eat lunch in. I will not return and I will let others know not to depend on the shop being open. 😂

I didnt have a lot of time in here I got there close to closing. What I did see caught my attention and Ill update when I go back

My boys had a ton of baby blankets that I saved over the years, I had been saving them to make use of them somehow. I had spoken to a few people about who can help me with ideas. I was given Paulines info. When I presented her with the blankets she had suggested we make larger blankets with peices of each. I loved the idea and more importantly loved the blankets she did. Great service and great work. She kept the sentimental value in each one. Thank you!

I love this shop, as do my daughters. We make a point of stopping in every time were in the area and are always happy.

Well I am not surprised to see that someone finally said something about what a snot Pauline can be. I myself was kicked from the Juki group for no reason at all during the time she took it over from the other admins. I am really grateful that they contacted me and asked me to come back. They told me she did it to a lot of people. It just doesnt make any sense!

Called and told her who I was and she hung up on me. WONT shop here for sure VERY RUDE!!!!!!
