This review concerns the purchasing of a used car at Prime Hyundai in Saco, ME. At age 70, I just experienced the most pleasant car buying experience of my life. Justin St. Claire, our sales representative, really listened to all of my questions and concerns, addressing each with honesty and integrity. Justin impressed me as being knowledgeable and provided me with spot-on advice. I rarely feel a sense of trust with a salesperson. Justin is the exception, and exceptional as well. (and it doesnt hurt that he reminds me of Tony Stark)

This might not help as much seeing how many 5 stars there are already.. but anyway:Despite stating up front that I wont be in the market for a few months and that Im from out of state, Mr. Justin St. Claire still went out of his way to find me a Sonata brochure, address all my questions, and never once exhibited a lack of patience.Best of luck to him and this dealership - all else equal, Ill most certainly be back when Im ready to pull the trigger.

This was by far the best car - and fastest - car buying experience I have had. I was greeted by sales agent Nick, who was knowledgeable and professional. Nick wasnt pushy at all and we quickly found a vehicle that exactly matched my needs, I only had to test drive one! Chris Finley was extremely helpful on the Finance side of things, he laid out the options very clearly and he kept the process moving along quickly and smoothly. I was in the market for a minivan. I came across one online and sent an email inquiry. Justin Griffin was very fast to call me and set up an appointment so I could take it for spin. I have purchased a lot of vehicles in the past 20 years, and dealing with Prime Hyundai has been my best experience! I highly recommend going to see John Kennedy (GM) who will find you exactly what you are looking for, and not try to oversell you. John has an excellent Sales/Support staff as well. A special thanks to Ron Pike for all of his assistance as well! I was extremely happy with what I received for my trade, and I am thrilled with my 2012 Toyota Tundra! We could not make it there until 5pm on Friday evening, they typically close at 6pm on Friday. The vehicle we intended to purchase did not work out for us, and John/Ron offered several other alternatives (from many different Prime Auto Group lots). We ended up with the Toyota Tundra, and John/Ron/Staff were willing to stay until almost 8pm so we could drive home our Tundra that night. Prime, thank you for a great experience, and you will definitely see us again!

I went to Prime Hyundai looking to finance my first vehicle. Nick Cole made the process easy and comfortable. Going into a big dealership can be overwhelming, but with the exceptional service from Nick I never felt I was being pressured into a purchase. Due to being a first time buyer, they really worked to find me a loan. When I couldnt get approved for what they were asking, they gave me the car for the amount I was approved for (which was considerably less). It was amazing that they worked with my situation to get me they car I really wanted rather than talking me into getting something I didnt really care for. Not saying that will happen for you, but it is definitely worth stopping in and seeing what happens.

Update to my previous review: The manager called me to inquire about my low review. When I told him that I was told my car had auto locks/ cruise control/ alarms he told me they would look into getting me an auto lock smart key and making it right. I never heard back from the guy, even though I called three times to follow up. So much for making it right.

Great experience. Saw the vehicle online, drove down to look at it. When I arrived I noticed the vehicle was being held for another customer. Sondra Allen came over to me and we talked about the vehicle I was looking at. She had stated that I was about an hour off because it was just called on. Sondra then asked me to join her at the desk so she could try to help me find another vehicle. On the walk in her floor manager came buy and stated the vehicle was still up for grabs. Had a good experience with Nick, the salesman. Got a reasonable deal on a good vehicle with no nonsense and Id be happy to do business with Nick again. Chris, the sales manager, was so intensely unpleasant that Ill never be back. Just to give you a sense of how unpleasant, if they lost their minds and offered me a 50% discount on a vehicle, I *might* consider spending ten minutes across a desk from that guy. But Id have to think about it pretty hard.

I had a couple of questions about my experience with my older Genesis and wanted to know how those issues had been resolved in the new Genesis. My 2012 Elantra was just recently totalled (I wasnt in the car& it was in park) :( so I was in need of a car. I tried looking at other models but I was planning on having my car for a while, so I ended up getting a 2013 Elantra. This time, I was all on my own buying a car. I was nervous, yet excited at the same time. This isnt something you do on a daily basis, so I was a bit scared! Ive had to deal with a recall with a power steering issue twice. The problem I have been having with hyundai is the communication. I would leave my car with the service department, get a call the next day (which was fantastic) about the issue, then have my car sit in the lot with no call or update for more than a week. I called multiple times without a call back.The only reason I went back to their service department is because of a recall issue. Would not reccomend to another customer to get their car fixed.

I would ever never recommend anybody to bring their business to this place. My wife bought her car here couple of years ago. A 2012 used car. It started to present several problems after a while such as at the mechanical andothers like ignition, problem for we brought the car in last week. After bringing it in we were told that was a problem with air filter(which it was an aftermarket part installed by the previous owner, never told to us at the moment of the purchase) and the oxygen sensor. The car was repeatedly stalling and running rough. Sensor was changed and so after it has been changed and apparently the air filter fixed too the car continues to stall. So wife addressed the problem and she were told that We can do anything for it. Now, for a mechanic place this is a sign of enormous incompetency if a customer bring their car in and they are told that WE CANT DO ANYTHING FOR SOLVING YOUR PROBLEM, it means that who works there doesnt know anything or very little when you bring your car in addressing and explaining your car symptoms. At the same time the sign of sloppy and lazy work was demonstrated by the fact that some oc the lights of her car when out because of the recents storms and rain and when picking up the car we noted that a front light hadnt be changed. All of that together with a change of a wheel bearing(one of those mechanical problems already mentioned above) for the affordable price of 600 $ (with the installment of a complementary axis part which apparently is required for changing a wheel bearing and still arises some questions around it). 600 $. They are just looking for a quick buck from you.

Sold me a complete piece of junk.And refuse to stand behind it or fix it 100 %Thus vehicles abs failed and and i waited over five months for a frame from prime toyota and its engine exploded last Christmas and if it didnt have the warrantee i dont believe they would have replaced it lime the bad leaf spring, brake lines and shocks that failed inspection at my mechanics shop but passed at prime ???Ill never go back to any prime dealer. !!!And also they keep telling me that just because I brought it back before the 30 days was over that it doesnt freeze the 30-day lemon law even though in the Lemon Law itself it says it does

I am a shamed to say I am writing this review about a year after my car was serviced. We did not buy our elantra here, but we were treated very well when we brought it in for warranty work. The service person (I wish I remembered their name) was very polite and prompt. We were provided with an equivalent rental and best of all with no hassell, id say we were there maybe 15 minutes. While they were fixing the engine they handled other recalls we didnt even know about. Their service department was top notch in every way. We will be buying our next vehicle here for the piece of mind knowing it will be taken care of. We also own a Cadillac and it was like pulling teeth to get any good assistance from another local dealer. You guys have earned a customer for life.

They used to be great but lately their mechanics are seriously lacking in skill. I dont know what happened, they used to do everything quickly and correctly but the last 2 times I was there they did a very poor job on routine work.I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and when I got the car back, they had forgotten to tighten one of the lug nuts on one of the tires. The lug nut literally flew off before I could get out of the parking lot! This last time, I went in for an oil change and alignment, when I got the car back, it pulled to one side. I took it to another dealer, Rowe in Westbrook, they put the car up on the machine and immediately noticed that the alignment was off. Rowe corrected the alignment and the car no longer pulled to one side.I should have just taken it to Rowe so that everything could get done right the first time. Just avoid Prime, they no longer have good mechanics!

I have recommended Nick to friends and co-workers who are in the car buying market because of his friendly attitude and straight up honesty about what I was getting for the price. I had been thinking about purchasing a new car for months, but did not expect to find exactly what I was looking for so soon! As soon as I drove into the lot, Scott G. came over and helped me find the perfect trade by giving me the opportunity to test drive a few cars that fell into my category of wants. By the end of the day I walked out of there with a newer car that I love!! Few weeks later I had an issue with my driver-side window not going up/down, but the guys got me in ASAP and had the problem fixed within the hour. The service and the people here are just plain awesome! If I was thinking about trading my car in again or possibly buying a second, I would definitely take a look here again. They are honest people and you dont have to walk out of there feeling like you were pressured, rushed, or flat out robbed!

The customer service that I have been provided since driving off the lot with my used SUV has been some of the worst service I have ever received. While negotiating the terms I was promised by my sales representative that I would be receiving a second key for the car. They said it was no problem at all and that most likely the key was misplaced. Matt assured me upon leaving that he would give me a call in a few days regarding this matter.Fast-forward a week after purchasing the car (and no call from Matt) I called Prime to remind them I still needed my key. A few days later, I received a voicemail from Matt, my sales consultant, advising that he could not locate the extra key but would be more than happy to send me a quote for one. Shocked by his voicemail I called him to clarify this as I had just spent $18,000 on a car and was told in good faith I would be provided with an extra key. After explaining this to Matt, he advised me that he spoke with his manager, Chris, and that the best they could do for me is provide me a quote. I explained my frustration to him and that “good customer service” would be following through with what he had promised. I confirmed with Matt numerous times during our conversation that both he and his manager agreed that this would not be good customer service and that I would have to cough up more money for a key.That night I took the time to drive 30 minutes to Saco to speak directly with the sales manager Chris. Chris assured me that I would not have to pay for another key and that he will tell Matt to put an order in for me and that Matt would call me about this on Saturday, September 01, 2018. After a week had passed with no return call I once again called Chris and Matt to follow up on this and left voicemails asking for them to return my call. With no surprise, Matt failed to give me a call back and once again I left a voicemail for his manager. Finally, I was able to speak with Chris who stated that Matt had put the order in for a new key today (a little over 2 weeks from when I was originally told the order had been placed). And once again that Matt would call me in day or two to follow up.I waited another week for Matt or Chris to update me on this situation and with no surprise my call was not returned. So yet again, I called and asked what the status was and was told by Matt that he was just waiting for someone to drop the key off and he would call me “first thing tomorrow morning” (today 09/19/2018) with an update. It is now 5:30pm and for the 4th or 5th time the sales consultant and manager has not followed through with what they have said. I had to call 4 times and was told on 4 separate occasions my call would be returned in a timely manner. NOT ONCE did this occur.I am absolutely appalled by the lack of Customer Service that both Matt and Chris have provided me. It takes less than 30 seconds to return my call and update me on what is going on but it has been made VERY CLEAR to me that they do not respect my time or me. With that being said, it would be very hard for me to ever recommend Prime to anyone. I can see based on the recent reviews I am not the first one to complain about the sales consultant and manager not returning calls. Let this be a warning to all of those out there thinking of purchasing a car at Prime. I have learned a BIG lesson from all of this and as a young woman I will not stand for the treatment and disrespect I have been shown by these sales men and hope that no woman has to go through the same.

First of all, lack of attention to detail is apparent when you text this review to Michaels phone instead of Tamsens phone and address it to Tamsen!! Second I had requested an e-quote for the Sonata we ended up buying and had received a quote by email from Mathew of $19,990 discounting this vehicle by $6,300. When Tamsen and I came into the showroom on July 12th we were given a price of $22,700. Very deceiving and disappointing that the e-quote wasnt honored. Over all we love the new Sonata. Had the pleasure of working with Justin Griffin on February 15th. He was excellent.Met us outside with a relaxed, professional decorum. He was interested in what our needs were are was also a good listener. We were looking for a car in a particular price range and payment and Justin was able to show us several options until we landed on a Kia Soul. Justin was extremely knowledgeable about various aspects of the sale. He understood rates/terms, the best features about the particular vehicle we were test-driving, and he also had a good sense of humor and awareness of when to BE funny (Important!) So Long story very short, the experience at Prime Hyundai in Saco was fun and enjoyable. We got what we wanted, and had a blast. Justin had a lot to do with that, and were glad we had him as a salesman. We have nothing but praise and high marks to give. Thank you!

Lets just start out by saying it was a great experience with Sondra and the team (John Kennedy and Co.) shes surrounded with.This was my daughters first foray into a car purchase and she was working within a tight budget. Sondra was far beyond helpful in listening to our needs and helping us find cars that were in, or near our parameters. We were close on a couple of vehicles, but not quite there, when Sondra and John (wizard behind the curtain) mentioned a Prius that had become available.. My daughter loved the car, so we test drove, haggled, discussed some concerns we had, and were fairly treated and the issues were properly addressed (tires). They gave a fair value for her trade in and we were done. The finance guy (cant remember his name, probably the nature of his job title!) but was very straigtforward and forthright with all the warranty and financing possibilities. He showed us the Cadillacs of the programs, but worked with us to attain the best available warranties and stayed true to our choice of banks. We had checked out a couple of other dealerships prior to visiting with Prime Hyundai and were accosted by the stereotypical used car dealer types. Prime Hyundai and their used car staff are going to ruin the existing reputation of a used car dealer in a good way. Thanks for taking care of my daughters automotive needs. And a special shout out to the Service guys (Rusty in particular) there was a bit of work we had negotiated into our deal and his group was top notch, informative, helpful and prompt in their efforts... (Try finding a car repair shop Ive said that about before)...good luck! Thanks again, and go Red Sox!

We just purchased an Elantra from Prime, Saco, ME with Sales Consultant Sondra.We had for months researched cars and was not sure what to purchase.While we were having our other car serviced at Prime we met Sondra.Sondra is very professional (no pressure) and found us a limited Elantra that is the best for us.We are very satisfied and look forward to working with Sondra in the future.One other thing, Sondra keeps in touch so it makes is easy to work with the other departments of the dealership.
