I got my first box braids done here. The owner of this business did my braids and she was very professional, since I called her to ask for information all the way to the incredible/beautiful braids.I have very thick and tons of hair. I usually get discouraged by Hairstaylist for this. The owner was very patient and experienced.I definitely recommend this place and I will be back again for braids.

I went to another place to sew my hair in.. they were lazy and didn’t have time for me so did half my head and only half the hair I wanted in... called here in desperation and I’m so grateful I did .... they fixed me tight up and the woman who did my hair was such a sweet woman from Nigeria. If I was just rating the braids I got here they would easily be a 5 star review! The braids were gorgeous.But... I came to the shop at the scheduled time and it took more than an hour to get started. Altogether, I spent 11 hours here including the time it took for me to walk a block away and get pizza for lunch. There were two braiders, but only one worked on my hair even when the other one did not have any more clients.Also, they did not have any prices. When I described what I wanted done they the owner said that the price was $350. I told them right away that I was sorry but I changed my mind and I got up to leave. The owner then told me all the reasons why that was the price, but asked me how much I thought it was going to be. When I told her I had never paid more than $200 for this style she instantly changed the price to $200 but said that it would be more in the future. I saw this with a few other people too and it seemed like she was trying to charge them the highest price that they would agree to. I would not consider her the most honest business woman.The last thing I will add is that the African movies that they played had sex scenes and inappropriate language. It didnt bother me, but it was kind of awkward when an elderly man old enough to be my grand-father was waiting to get his hair braided (she was an hour late getting started on him too)Again, braids were beautiful. Just expect them to start late and be prepared for some excessive prices.

I came in and was clueless to what I wanted, Belinda recommended that I get kinky twist, so I did and I LOVE IT!! This is the first time I have ever had anything done to my hair, not only are the staff welcoming and friendly they know what they’re doing. I left the store a very happy costumer. I will be back again!

If I had to rate the beauty of the braids, I would give 5 stars. BUT! This is not what I asked for. I showed Belinder a picture of what I wanted. I even said that I wanted the size braids of her employee. I said, “I like that size!” I wanted large individual braids, not extra-large and not jumbo. They gave me between small and medium, according to the pic I showed her of braiding sizes. I was sitting in that chair for 14 hours!! I did not eat breakfast because I thought I would be out of there in 5 hours tops for what I wanted. No way! The girl doing my hair was new and I do not fault her. She was new, but she was learning. She needed help! You have me stay there for 14 hours as a practice client for her!? You put her in a bad position! It is not her fault. She kept having to take the braid out and restart, because she was learning and wanted to do it right! But….here I sit and wait…And, then she tells me that it was $300! What!? $300 for something that I did not even want!? I saw her prices online and I was getting larger individual braids, which are not exactly listed. For individuals, it is $200 and up. Now, I will take that as my fault, because I should have come here to see the reviews first and asked before I let them touch my hair! However, I have never been charged $300 for braids even smaller than this. And, they are generally done much faster!It is sad because I was looking for my new braiding spot that I could go every few weeks, get my hair braided, and a place for my beauty supplies. This just is not the place. I wish it were different, but they put a bad taste in my mouth. So, if you want your hair done nicely, this might be your spot. Be prepared to be overcharged! And! Be prepared to spend your ENTIRE day! Bring some food and something to do.

I have always wanted my hair done in kicky twist. But I never could find anyone that could do a great job untill I came to LaBelle shop. She is so welcoming and friendly. My hair lasted for four months and know Im back for second time. If your looking for great customer service and affordable braids come here

If u have 16hours to get your hair braided then this is the place to go,if u want the one person braiding your hair and taking 10 breaks minimum this is your place, if you want a unprofessional staff and high prices then this is your place, but if you want great prices and great service then this is the place to stay far away from instead head to tishas braids two braider minimum great prices professional staff and you are done in 4 to 5 hours sadlyI’m writting this review while still getting my singles that the staff started on at 1030 though my appt was at 9am . Hopefully I make it out tonight and hopefully the people reading this go somewhere and get their money’s worth. One star is me being generous.

I was in at the same time the other reviewer who mentioned 16hrs was. I came in at 9 but no one actually started braiding until a little before 12. The girl braiding my hair was nice when she wasnt complaining about the style I chose (twist) or taking breaks. At one point she took an hour break for lunch because she had just been so hungry, which is fine. But she spent 15 of those minutes cooking..maybe 5 eating and the rest of the time looking at makeup and perfume someone had brought in...then afterwards tried to eat again! At that point there had been no hands in my head for over an hour. This is funny because she later complained about not having a lunch break and starving because no one would let her eat. Overall my appoint took 14hrs, I left at 1150 that night. There are a variety of other issue going on here but atleast the other braider made an effort to constantly be doing her costumers hair. She was just slow. All in all my hair looks great for the 275 dollars I paid and the 14hrs I spent. I will never be going back.Fyi my braiders name was lua ( loo-ah). Pretty sure thats not the correct spelling.

I would give one Star. I wanted bigger braids and showed a picture, but did not get the braids I wanted. This was the worst braiding experience I had. A few braiders were inexperienced and had to braid and unbraid my hair several times. Three ppl were braiding my hair and it took over eight hours. I expressed that my scalp was tender so having to braid and unbraid and rebraid was ridiculously painful, but the owner did not consider this to be a problem. The owner says she was letting the new employee try to do a good job and be independent. Very unprofessional. Finally the owner came to redo braids that had already been braided wrong as I showered her a picture for the third time. As I asked for bigger braids and was still gona be charged $250. She discounted the price to $200 after I complained but should been charged $150. The first week one braid fell out while I was trying on clothes, and 2 days later another braid fell out. The braid was braided to tight and took my hair leaving a small amount around my front edge with breakage. At this point my braids have only been for 6 days. It was a waste of my time and money and now I have to take them all out to prevent any further breakage or damage. Rebraiding caused stress on my already tender areas. And I believe that is why the braids are falling out and taking my hair with it. It was pulled tight too many times. I don’t recommend this place at all.

I asked about a crochett install, and yes the price was a little steep at first, and I was nervous too, especially since I had been paying less in Texas.But, I took a chance with Labelle to have a crochett installed, and let me tell you, this woman did not disappoint. In fact, this is my second crochett install.She is very meticulous and she puts her heart, soul and passion into her work. To be direct and honest with you, Ive never met any hair stylist or owner, who works with such a deep passion for hair. Labelle does not put her name on anything that is hair-tacky. So with that said, if you want high quality, detailed work performed on your hair, go see Labelle. And, if you are seeking low cost, low quality services, then dont waste your time, go elsewhere and get your hair done. Its just that simple.Im not being paid or rewarded to post this review. I just felt like telling the truth and you wont find anyone like Labelle. I guarantee you.Also, be patient when Labelle is doing your hair. What I mean is: For a quality crochett install, it takes many hours. Not one or two hours either. But, know that in the end, you will leave the shop super happy knowing that your hair was done professionally. Oh, and yes, people are staring at my crochett and trying to figure out how Labelle installed it because people think it s my hair. My response to people who is trying to figure out how the quality work Labelle performed on my hair is this: I have no idea of her braid pattern, nor her secret. I just know she is super gifted and one of a kind.Just go get your hair done at Labelles and you will see exactly what I mean, when she is done with your hair, you will walk out of there with heads turning. No kidding!And, she has a full beauty supply store, so you can just do a one-stop-shop, instead of driving around to other beauty supply stores. Her beauty supply store has it all. If you a want a sew-in, she has high quality weave hair. If you like wearing wigs in between styles, she have those too.
