I recently got a mark on my song camera sensor and they were able to get rid of it quickly and for a low price. Great customer service and a speedy process overall! I Highly recommend them (they worked on my sony alpha mirrorless) I will definitely be going here again if any other issues arise in the future.

The service staff was warm and friendly, but the owner was a real jerk and has no regard for his clients. I don’t know about his technical expertise but he is rude and I wouldn’t take my business to him based on his very poor and disrespectful customer service

My go to for all my Nikon repair needs. They’ve taken good quality care of the many times I’ve had to go there!Update: I had an emergency need for repair but was only visiting. The repair I knew would not be completed by the time I was headed back home out of state. I was extremely impressed at how well the camera was packaged and shipped to me upon repair. Seriously, you cant find quality repair shops for cameras. Ive done the research now that I no longer live near them. For those of you in the Sacramento area, youre lucky to have such a resource. For me, I may need to have them service my cameras when visiting, and in dire need, Ill probably ship to them.

My son is just now getting into photography and inherited an older Canon camera from his grandfather. We were having trouble getting it to work so we took it into California Precision. After looking at it for 5 minutes they found the problem and now it works perfectly! Since it was a minor issue, they didnt even charge us for their time. They were friendly and eager to help. My son is now out enjoying the camera!!!

CPS was recommended by many of photographer friends. And Im so glad I finally went and got my d800 fixed and one of my 85s. They were quick, fixed everything and cleaned both cam and lens. Im so happy its like I have new camera. Im planning to take my other d800 for check up and cleaning soon. thank you Pat and all the staff at CPS.

They may be small, but they have passion and experience to back them. You wont get the same level of one-on-one service anywhere else. All the big service centers treat you like a number.

Ive been using California Precision Services as my go to Nikon repair center for (I almost cant believe it) 25 years.Theyve always been friendly and extremely helpful and stand by their work.Being someone who makes their living as a photographer, having a close, reliable repair center for those rare ocassions that something goes wrong (say, dropping $10K worth of gear onto a cement slab as I did a few weeks ago ... :/ ) is invaluable and I never hesitate to take my gear to them.

Heres the note I sent CPS after my recent repair:Thank you for the quick adjustments and repairs to my Nikon d810 and wide angle zoom. You finished incredibly quickly and the camera works just like it did out of the box. Your rush service is worth every penny to someone like me who depends on a camera.I hope nothing breaks soon, but when I need a repair in the future, Ill be in touch.

Took an older camera with me to Yellowstone and a part of it lost a couple of screws. Had to hold it together with electrical tape until I got home. Mikes Cameras on J Street recommended California Precision. Pat fixed it in about 2 minutes and all he would take as payment was a handshake. Hell get any future camera repair jobs I need. Fast, friendly, and my cameras fixed. Couldnt ask for more in a business.

Good experience..I used them several years ago and most recently for my Nikon d7000 (Real Focus problems)..Took a little while for service and not really inexpensive. HOWEVER, they did a GREAT Job! I am familiar with costs for current camera repair! And, it is not inexpensive anywhere! Especially Direct to Nikon! If You personally need an extensive operation to save your life...You need a Good Surgeon! If you need some extensive camera work on a DI Nikon, You want Good technicians! GO to California Precision Camera Services..Good folks doing Good work....

Had them repair my camera and a pair of lenses - they didnt fix the problem and Im out over $300. Still had to send it to Canon for repair. It took Canon three tries, because the first time they were fixing the work from California Precision Service. Tried to get my money back, not such luck. They did take it in for another look at no charge (because I mad a big fuss) and still the camera isnt working well. They did test prints, they just dont look at them at 100% which is whats needed to ensure the focus is sharp.

Paid $45 for deposit and expected for a call in a week or 2 but nothing received in a month, so I called them, and was informed that I will get a feedback in a day or two. Indeed I got a feedback that I need to pay 285 for the defective part so I agreed to pay for it. I was expecting feedback about it for a week or 2 but nobody called in almost a month so I called again and was told that I will have a feedback in a day or 2. Indeed somebody called me the next day telling me that the defective part costs $495. Hell no! I canceled the repair job and got my camera back. I asked the person in-charge about my deposit and he said its for the technicians labor cost. What labor cost? My camera was just sitting there without anybody knowing what to do with it. I believe it was their way to get your money if they dont know how to repair it. So if they charge you with high fees, you will have to cancel the repair and you will have no right to get your money back. My advise to camera owners who need repair, go to the camera service center not to this unprecise service center. By the way I got my camera back after 7 weeks! Oh, and it seems about the same story as the reviewer below, don be the 3rd reviewer of the same story.

What a rip off. I brought in my old film camera to them to have a CLA done. Instead of telling me they couldnt do it straight off, they took my money, waited a week, and then had me come get my camera after having done pretty much nothing to it. They said they did an external clean, which A) isnt what I paid for, and B) it didnt freaking need because the camera was already spotless! Why werent they honest with me to begin with??? What a scam.

I cant say enough about how happy I am with California Precision. I had to send a Nikon 600mm f/4 lens, a D750 camera and 1.4 teleconverter in for an update from Montana. The new D750 and teleconverter were not playing nice with the supertele. The equipment was updated and returned to me in less than two weeks, the estimate was right on, and Isao the technician who handled the repair was first rate. I will certainly use California Precision again if the need arises.

Ok I called to ask for a estimated time of repair with a code error 20 and all I got is dont know until we open it up.. Well the cannon house knows it takes a month to repair with shipping and everything.. It would be nice to hear something like could take a month.... IDK really does not come into play in business..a error code I was told could come up for several different things... hmm in the canon manual it only has 1 error code 20 and is direct, when you speak to a rep for canon they also say there is only one error code 20 meaning on a canon..I do business and deal with people every day and I give them direct answers if I can and if not I look it up. it doe snot matter how long a business has been in business the employees make the difference.... times have changed people do not like to be given IDKs or maybes. to many competitors in todays world.I am sure this is an awesome place for certain people, however I cannot say I will use it or recommend this business...
