An amazing chocolate place but at the same time, they have some awesome macarons and cupcake as well. My friend got my dad some macarons from here before which he really like so since Im in Sacramento for the weekend I decides to come here to get him some to go. You basically have to park on the street and walk to this shop. When we got there, there was about 2 group in front of us but then like 5 minutes later, there was a like 6 group behind us. They only allow 2 party inside due to covid so that also plays a factor on the line. There are so many options of chocolates, macaron, cupcakes and even hot chocolate to select from. So I got some almond vanilla, chocolate Ganache, pineapple upside down and pistachio. My fiancée got their hot chocolate and also a chocolate chip cookies. Everything was very delicious and I can see why they are very popular.

Deadly delicious but pricey. However, you get what you pay for and the quality of their chocolate and desserts are superb.

****UPDATE**** The owner, Ginger, called me personally to resolve the issue and she was WONDERFUL. I am more than happy to say that I am once again a customer. They have fantastic desserts and this was the only issue I ever had. I am confident it will not happen again.........Original complaint: They overcharged me and lied about it. When I brought it to their attention they have been rude and unprofessional. Theyve dismissed me and been condescending. Deleted comments on their social media and blocked me from exposing them!!! DO NOT GO TO THEM

I got the Oaxacan spicy hot chocolate, really delish!!! Tasty and full of flavor, I did taste the spiciness. Very satisfied with the selection I made. Thank you for such a joy in a cup. And the brownie was just soooooo good....... customer service great!!!!

Waited in line the day before valentines for 45 min but it was worth it! I got the assortment of macarons and the box of 12 chocolates. Its definitely pricey but the quality is unmatched. They also sell other baked items like cookies, brownies, etc and hot chocolate

Normally we have have very good service and experience. We waited in line for a while with the kids. Went for ice cream and they gave it to the folks behind us before we entered the store. Whats the point of the line? The folks behind us didnt even do an online order.

Such a wonderful place and unique chocolates. Ice cream is like no other. Staff is very friendly. Only allowed 2 people in the store in at a time so that was very time consuming. Especially since I just had a order to pick up. I already ordered on line and paid but still has to wait in line 20 minutes. That is ready my only complainant

Ginger Elizabeth is by far the best chocolatier in NorCal. GE has three foundations: first is the superior quality of the product; second is some of the very best customer service in Sacramento; and finally the variety of offerings ensures everyone can find something enjoyable.

The best hot chocolate you can get in the continental United States is at Ginger Elizabeth! My wife and I pick it up every chance we get and, as tradition, every year on our anniversary. Its so incredibly good! I just wish there was a store closer than Sacramento.

Never knew they opened late on a Saturday (until 10pm I believe). Best hot chocolate I have ever had!!! Great french macaron as well as other awesome dessert, but I was shocked by the hot chocolate!

Absolutely delicious! This is where I buy most of my gifts. You can actually taste the flavors of the chocolate versus only tasting one ingredient,- sugar. The staff are also very polite. Last time I went in, Maya helped me and even offered me a complimentary Halloween macaroon.

This place has some very high quality desserts. Chocolate cakes are amazingly delicious and so are the macaroons. It smells great right when you walk in. It is a small place on the inside though with a few tables for seating, and has a few extra tables/chairs outside too. Depending on what time you go, it might be full.

From their macaroons to rich chocolate dessert, everything was amazing. It is a tiny place with some seating inside and outside, clean design and attentive service. I usually have a great experience at Ginger Elizabeth. Today was a far cry from their usual service. I asked whether they had the frozen hot chocolate. Reply: We havent had that in a long time. Long time. I know Ive had it pre pandemic. Suffice it to say a disappointment.

This is one of my favorite places for desserts. They are a bit on the higher end for pricing. (about $2.00 per macaroon or individual piece of chocolate). They are so worth it. I go there at least 1-2 times per year to treat myself. If you are there in the winter, the hot chocolate is amazing. They do fantastic cakes as well.

This place is no joke. Best chocolate Ive had in Sacramento. We tried 6 different pieces of chocolate and they all were amazing. The dark chocolate with olive oil and sea salt was my favorite. Theres seating available outside which allows you to people watch while you eat. So good.

Cozy, bright, clean place with hot chocolate, macarons, cookies, truffles, some gifts (like smaller cookies, gift boxes, and powdered chocolate). The classic American hot chocolate is super rich, and the whipped cream tastes like the real deal, super thick. Would definitely go back! Theres a couple countertop spaces but otherwise the place is pretty small so its not a cafe by any means

Best chocolatier in town, Ginger Elizabeth Hahn makes the most amazing chocolate bonbons, macaroons and pralines. Her products make great gifts for out-of-state family who still think Sacramento is a cow town. Having her shop conveniently located right in Midtown is a plus, the selection is good, prices fair and Ginger Elizabeth has a very impressive resume including NYC, Chicago and Napa Valley. Not everyone understands cocoa butter the way she does. Do yourself and favor and come on in. I have to practise restraint - not.

According to California Civil Code - CIV Section 51, businesses cannot discriminate against my medical condition. I know your store is trying to comply but the mask order is a guidance, not a law. This bakery has the best macarons and deserts I have had in Sacramento. They do a good job making deserts. You may also order in advance if you want something to go; we ordered a small birthday cake to go. The menu is on their website to order.The place is a little small but employees are efficient in moving the crowd. There are also a few tables inside and outside.I come here every time I visit mid town Sacramento.

Best brownies ever

There was a line out the door on Saturday morning, but it moved quickly. The truffles and the cocoa dusted almonds are crazy good. They arent the cheapest you will find, but you definitely get what you pay for, in this case!

While i would normally give Ginger Elizabeth a 5 star....today it is a 2. I ordered online 36 hours ago....for a 3 pm pick up. Had to wait in line 30 min to pick up. Then they did not have my order ready.....for the 2nd time in a row. Then the May boxes I ordered....well they ran out of the apricot macaron.....well too bad. So a couple things....1) the apricot is what the person i bought this for was wanting the most. 2) since i already paid, i couldnt get a refund. 3) Your price point is on par for what you do (well worth it)but I cant keep buying stuff when it gets messed up.I know it is so different with COVID but still. Love you guys but twice in a row..... gotta figure something out.

The place is clean, smells fantastic...eyes and nose are delighted in this place but I dont give it 5 stars because the treats are super sweet, sugar overpower the flavors... I wanted to taste all the great combinations she makes but I only remember the sugary flavor in my mouth, even my kids didnt want to finish their treat and were desperate for water.

My daughter ordered me a box of their chocolates online for my birthday and paid extra to have them shipped. When I opened them they were all melted together. I called the store in Sacramento and they told me they couldn’t do anything since it was an online order and told me to email them, which I did. Never got a reply. Guess they don’t take care of their customers.

Amazing macaroons in more variety of flavors than Ive seen before. Theyre super soft sand very sweet, but flavorful. They were baking cookies when I was there and they smelled amazing. They also sell a variety of fudge. Very nice presentation that is sure to impress. Great service but no samples like Sees.

The best chocolate ice cream I ever had. When it melted, it stayed solid. Now THAT is creamy. The chocolates were good of course. You can tell that everything is made with a lot of care. The prices are high, but the ice cream is definitely worth every penny. As for the chocolates, they are a bit overpriced but if you care a lot about how much care is put into your chocolate, you would probably think that they too are worth the price.

Cute chocolate shop. They were pretty busy when I arrived but the staff was still quick to help me out. They were friendly and made the entire shopping experience pleasant. Best cupcakes Ive ever had in my life. The Almond Roca cupcake had some kind of filling, which I was nervous about because I dont typically like fillings, but it was delicious!! The Salted Caramel cupcake was also amazing!

Ginger Elizabeth has the best chocolate chip cookies in town. The perfect amount of crunch and chew and chocolate in every bite. I enjoy them more than the chocolates themselves. They do have very elegant chocolates that make the perfect gift for anyone.
