As I was searching for the right bags for my Riccar Vibrance upright I couldnt help notice the extensive display of other Riccar vacuum parts and supplies. For my very first visit to any Meissner store I felt extraordinarily lucky to have visited on a day that the vacuum bags I needed were 35% off the regular price of $24!!!

I always get great service in Meissner’s sewing and vac. Jennifer and Lisa have been so helpful to me on my many visit to this store. I have taken several classes here as well. I love to see and do crafts and they are always offering me more information and classes to learn more. They have quality products. I would give them more stars if it was an option.
These people are very nice, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Jennifer Campbell is a great salesperson who was able to help me with the finacing of multiple machines over the years. If you are into sewing, embroidery or quilting, the is definitely the place to come. Carl, the technician, he is a wizard at how these machines operate. This is the only place I will go to get my machines or supplies. There has never been any pressure to buy and always feel like a valued customer every time we come back.

I ordered a sewing machine online that had been back ordered due to covid delays in manufacturing. Dajah was very good in communicating the status and letting me know my options, including other machines they had in stock. I waited out the delays and as soon as the machine got to them, it was shipped to me quickly. Everything went great.
I have been to your Roseville store on more than one occasion. I have always been greeted when Ive come in and bid goodby when I leave. Kathleen has been extremely helpful. Today she went above and beyond in helping me with an adjustment to my beloved Pfaff. You can be assured when the day comes that I need or just want a new sewing machine Kathleen will be my go to person.
During the pandemic last year, I wanted to get my machine serviced. Meissner provided a free review of the machine to evaluate the extent of the service/repair, etc. There was a charge that would be applied to the cost of the service. I changed my mind about the service but the technician checked the machine and oiled it anyway.I was thinking of purchasing another machine and I received good, reliable help. I liked the paying part set up where social distancing and sanitizing were taken into consideration. Although supplies were limited, I was able to get a little of what I needed. Only one person annoyed me. I needed a part of my sewing machine and I knew what he suggested (and ordered) was not the right one. But, since he heard the brand name, decided what he ordered was the correct one. I ended up having to come back to the store and return it and didnt try to get the correct part. All in all, Meissner is the only game in town for machines and machine knowledge.
Jim, the technician, is the best! Hes very knowledgeable, informative, and has great patience to explain in detail. As a newbie to embroidery, its intimidating to get to know the machine. Its even more scary when the machine is having trouble. Knowing that Jim is there to help is a great comfort.
Meissners is a treasure and we are so lucky to have it right here in Sacramento! Not only do they have a very extensive line of sewing machines of all types - from beginner to professional level, and from basic to advanced embroidery - and a large long arm quilting machine showroom, they have exceptional customer service. Their staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help you find just what you are looking for. Dont be intimidated by some of the very large price tags on their top end machines, as they have entry level, and used models for every type of customer.

I dropped off an industrial juki machine to be repaired many months ago... I hit some financial difficulty and wasnt able to pick it up when they called saying it was fixed. I expained my situation, they said just come in when I can. Many months later I was able to, it was sitting there waiting. Thank you!!!

Large selection of machines and accessories. Service left us unimpressed. Husband went in to inquire about replacement parts for a Bernette b79. The only salesperson to address us was not able to answer our question. She said she would need to ask someone else and walked to another customer. No other salesperson approached us.
I found Meissner about 5 years ago when I moved to the area. Ive now purchased 3 machines from them and am completely satisfied. Their broad selection and knowledgeable staff made finding the machines that fit both my needs and budget incredibly stress-free. I particularly like that they offer get to know your machine classes to new buyers.They have a wide range of classes that cover everything from the basics to fine tailoring, embroidery and quilting. The teachers have great experience. Their fabric selections are focused more toward quilting and decorative work, but are high quality (no change youll get patterns printed off-grain like a certain chain!) and their threads are the best.Their repair and maintenance crew are top of the line as well. Not only will they find and fix the problem, theyll explain how it happened and how to avoid it in the future.Whether you are just beginning to sew or have been doing it for decades, you will love it at Meissner.
I got good, complete service on my Bernini 770, in spite of the pandemic. I was treated courteously by everyone there. Glad to return to the place I bought the machine for yearly service, even if it’s a 209 mile round trip

I took in a vintage machine I purchased from a thrift store for next to nothing knowing that it needed some electrical work done in order for it to operate. A nice woman helped me cart the forty pound machine into the store and then I waited for the busy women in the repair area. The woman that helped me immediately told me that the cost to repair it could be more than the value of the machine. I asked what too much to repair might mean. She took it to the techs in the back to get an opinion. She came back five minutes later telling me the same thing, that the repair cost would more than likely be more than the value of the machine. The only other information I got was that the techs would have to get a new motor. With so little to go on, I left feeling that it wasnt worth their time, especially after walking around a showroom that mainly features plastic computerized machines that cost thousands of dollars. So I carted my machine to my car by myself. I couldnt dispel the feeling of giving me very little feedback and being very uninterested in my vintage find, a workhorse by any other nameI will go to Auburn Sew and Vac (five star rating), a mom and pop shop that was recommended to me by a woman that works in a quilting shop. She raved about the fair pricing and service. It will be a drive for me but I would much rather give my time and money to a small, independent, well run friendly store.
It was clean and organized. Hand sanitizer was available at the door and thru out the store. Social distancing was good. Everyone wore masks. I enjoyed my visit there.

Meissners went above and beyond the normal customer service this past covid-19 year, in many ways. I was able to get a lovely Bernina machine even during the pandemic. I drove from my home in Southern California to come to them, and they had the machine all ready for me. Later, they shipped my serger to me so I didnt have to come up again. They were cheerful, helpful and kept me up to date on my order. They also helped me find some accessories to purchase with my Bernina at my request (they were having a sale and I wanted to augment what came with the machine).Their showroom was spacious and had so many different varieties of machines: from sewing to embroidery from all different manufacturers. I even was able to pick up some fabric at the Sacramento location; Meissners has it all.Lastly, one of my friends lives close to one of their shops and I sent her over to there; she now sings their praises, too! Thank you, Meissners!

Currently Meissner is selling groupons for sewing classes which are not scheduled to take place. Of course these are uncertain times were living in, but these groupons do expire, and although I was told not to worry about the expiration date over the phone, there is no certainty that they would still honor the deal or that they will even begin offering classes in the foreseeable future, and so having these groupons available for purchase seems dishonest.Groupon does guarantee that the value of these coupons never expires, but that doesnt mean the company will have to accept the original terms of the coupon. They could raise the rate for the offer and then one would be on the hook for whatever the difference is between what was originally paid and what the new offer would be.The worst part is that groupon will not refund your money, but only give you credit on future groupons after youve made this purchase based on a vague promise made to us by this company.One could argue that my complaint is with groupon and not this company, but its the company that continues to sell these classes without explicitly stating that they are not currently taking place. Chalk it up to negligence, ignorance, or malicious money grabbing, in any case, this is not an honest way to bring customers into your store.

NOT FOLLOWING SOCIAL DISTANCING. Normally I love Meissners. I purchased my first machine from them in 2012. Ive since purchased 3 more. Ive taken classes. Service has always been wonderful. Ive made several purchases from Jennifer, and shes great. She REALLY knows her stuff. BUT. Theyre not taking the pandemic seriously. I went twice in June. I had two different sales people walk up to me with their masks sitting under their noses I felt like screaming THATS NOT HOW THEY WORK!!! But Im shy and restrained, though I did ask that they pull their masks up over their nose. I had to go back in August. Things were worse. Several (3 that I saw) employees were wearing these plastic mouth shield things (see photo). The top of the shield only goes up to about the tip of the nose, and the entire thing just sort of floats an inch or two in front of the face. THATS NOT A MASK. IT PROVIDES NO PROTECTION FOR THE CUSTOMER. Uuuuuuuugggghhhh. This is why this country is in the state that its in. People dont take COVID-19 seriously. They cheat the whole mask wearing mandate and think theyre being clever. These salespeople come into contact with dozens of people every day. Many of them elderly. Do they not realize that theyre putting lives in danger?? Do they not care that they could be infecting others if they happen to have the virus, whether or not they know it? There were some employees who were wearing actual, properly fitted fabric or disposable masks. To them I say thank you! ♥ But to Meissner management, I say PLEASE make sure all employees are well trained and following safety guidelines. It is literally a matter of life and death.

I bought my sewing machine at Meissners Sacramento and have taken it back for service on regular basis. I have always been pleased with their workmanship as well as their friendliness and professionalism. I loved the classes they offered upon purchase of my machine and found them to be extremely helpful. Not to mention one of the best selections of batik fabric to be found!
This is about the Sacramento store: Best machines, best service, best prices, best staff. They are rotate sales every month and will beat online dealers - I compared. l have been in three times, and every time the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Even the other customers were friendly as we oohed and aaahed at this wonderful candy store for sewing. Hint, if the staff are all busy with other customers, you can sit down and start trying out the floor models, lots of embroidery to sample. I used the repair service first with an old machine, great experience. Then I decided to get a new one. After I bought my machine here they called my home a few days later to see how I was doing with it - who does that these days? Im signed up for their free classes to get me sewing.
My Mother gave me her old Bernina sewing machine probably 30 years ago. I love it but it quit working a couple of months ago. I took it to Meissners to get it repaired and tuned up. The people I dealt with were wonderful. Knowledgeable, patient and friendly. They called and told me the technician reported that a major part was broken and because it was so old they werent sure they could find a replacement. I told them to go ahead and try. When we returned from our vacation I got a call saying they did find the part but cant guarantee how long it will last. I said I understood and to go ahead with the repair. I just used it and I am so happy. It runs like a top. It worked better than it did 30 years ago. I enjoyed sewing on it and am so glad to be using my deceased, Mothers sewing machine. It means a lot to me. I would highly recommend Meissners and wont hesitate to go there again.
Carlton and Jim are excellent at doing their job, they are VERY patient and VERY kind, and go the extra mile to help us and make sure everything will work in the best way possible. The both are always there when we need them and always ready to help! I couldnt be happier to have my machines in such good hands!They even tuned up my RIMOLDI which most sewing places wont touch!!

OMG great customer service! I was looking for a new sewing machine and never been to this store before. Upon entering, was greeted immediately, paired up with a salesperson who listened to exactly what I asked to see, took me to a machine, sat down and demonstrated the machine to me, and it was PRECISELY what I asked for! Could not have been a better buying experience, plus free classes on my new machine. And it was $200 off regular price. SCORE!! Ill be a customer for life. Love love love the service and attention.

Terrible customer service. They have a very aggressive sales team who treated me like crap once they realized I did not want to spend at least $8000 on a machine. I was subject to listening to a sales manager, a woman with short hair talking over me on the positives of spending so much. She would not listen and was clearly in some super sales mode with no regard for what I needed. It was, very annoying and it turned me off from buying anything. Piece of advice - ease into it. I might have the money but I will not spend it with someone so out of touch with my needs. Then she passed me me off to another sales person who had the fakest sales pitch, it was demeaning, I do not recommend this store.

I am truly disappointed in the amount of time it has taken me to receive a extension table order that I placed back on April 25 today is June 14 and still have not received it I called and said it still will be about two more weeks not happy
I am sooo sad. I took the long arm quilting class in 2016. The price for hourly time had gone up from 15.00 in 2016, to 17.50 hour 2017. But, I couldnt get time in a machine to practice my new knowledge right away. In 2017, I have been able to finally get some time on a machine, which I love. But now the hourly prices have gone up again, which wouldnt have been so horrible but forcing a 3 hour use time at 25.00 hour is out of my league. I cannot afford 75.00 for 3 hours and 150.00 for 6 hours of quilting time. I cannot afford to come back. I am so sad about this.I can pay someone to do my quilting for me at these prices. SO SAD!
My husband and I went in to check out some quilting sewing machines. We waited about 15 minutes and not one person ever said a word to us!! A we will be right with you would have been nice ~ needless to say we walked out. Terrible customer service. We will take out business elsewhere.

Such a terrible experience with the sewing machine repair. I put my old Bernina 1000 into the shop and they removed the inside latched door (the one that holds the bobbin housing in). The machine jammed right away. I noticed I could no longer open the door and clear the bobbin. What did they tell me? There was never a door there! I have been sewing on this machine for 20+ years, almost every day. I do not think I have forgotten. Good grief, I am furious. Trying to work with Bernina of America, is just as frustrating. They sent me a photo of my machine with the outside door circled stating that there was no other latched door Seriously? OPEN THE OUTSIDE DOOR and you will find the bobbin housing. Seems like Bernina just does not know what they are doing. At these prices I expect expert repair and honesty. (Yes I do own two new machines, regretfully.)

Ordered parts from the Roseville store on 10/24/2015, was told it would be 2-3 weeks. Well here it is 11/21/2015. Parts will be shipped when they have a big enough order placed with the company...what about the customer who needs the parts! Was told I could order them myself online and pay for shipping...what a crock of baloney! Customer service at Meissner is the absolute worst! Will take by business elsewhere to a Mom & Pop Shop that really cares about their customers. Meissner obviously doesnt care.
LOVE Meissners! I have a Babylock and a Bernina, both purchased here. My sweetie has a Juki for upholstery, also from here. He was a pro years ago, and bought all his machines here.I always bring them here for routine service. They are fast, kind, and totally honest. When I have a problem with a machine, they will answer questions and show me how to fix many things myself. When I cannot, they can.The staff knows lots about the machines, and can compare them to help you find the right one for what you do. Big selection of larger cones of excellent thread for quilting, embroidery and upholstery.I learned lots from the machine mastery classes they include with the purchase of the machines.
