I’ve purchased about 4 kites from here over the years. Every single one of them is still in tact. My family and I have made it a hobby of ours to fly kites in a windy day. The staff are kind and knowledgable.

My girlfriend and I went in to buy a kite. The owner was awesome. He was very helpful in describing how the kites were different for skill levels and how to do repairs/maintenance and what to watch out for when flying around other people.They also have alot of other interesting tems in the shop that I wished I couldve purchased at the time.Great atmosphere!

Wow. This guy knows his kites. If you want to be informed and knowledgeable about kites and how to fly them, this is the place to go. Bought a kite for my sister and Ive never felt more confident in my purchase and in my ability to pass on knowledge regarding the handling of kites.Theres so much more to kite flying than just string, kite, and wind. If you cant tell yet, the guy here got me excited about kites, Im definitely coming back to buy one for myself.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Going back there tonight to get Birthday gifts. Love this place.

Only local place I was able to find a replacement kite line for my dual line stunt kite! As soon as I walked in I was greeted and pointed to what I was looking for. Large selection of kites from basic to professional and well as wind socks, toys, games, and novelty items. Pretty cool store actually, next time your in old sac take a peak inside.

When we lived in Sacramento we purchased a kite here and have had it nearly 20 years! That purchase was clearly well worth the money!!! I was so happy (and a bit sentimental) to see that they are still there despite all the other changes old sac has had!

Dude this place is awesome! They have kites for all different levels. I just wanted something to play with and they had awesome 6 footers for 14 bucks. Seems well made too. There was also many fancier kites, box, dragons, stunt types. Also they give you some instructions on how to fly kites and some safety tips which is cool and thoughtful. Will come again with more money. Ps. sacramento river has a delta wind perfect for flying kites!!

Love getting a kite and puzzle for my family to have fun with. So many nice things to buy.

Very well displayed product... bought two items, a kite and a toy bow and arrow set. Paid $32.00 to have fun with grandson age almost 5 years old.Got products home and took out of package. The bow and arrow is not worth one penny, just lots of disappointments and does not work. The kite did not fly, we tried all the instruction sheet advise and this product was to heavy to fly even on a windy day. I called the owner to see their return policy.ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I will never shop this store again.Buyer beware. You are throwing your hard earned money down the drain.

Just visited here by chance the other day and i was impressed to say the least. kites are hanging everywhere to help you decide what you want. i came in hoping to find a parfoil kite after flying my buddies a month ago. whew! the selection is great and thanks to the insightful staff they helped me find a two meter one that ill be able to use out at the beach. there are many kites that are not on display so be sure to ask if there is something you want or are looking for. thats the best part of a real-life shoppe!

Pretty cool place you can find kites toys games youll never remember of even thinking you would find the old ones when you were a child the people that run it very helpful very nice go visit it is great.

Just fact thats its been iwned by the same people since 1974 is awesome. I love going in there and seeing the colors and seletion of kites. You wont find better service anywhere and the mom n pop atmosphere is better than any.

OMG! What a presentation. Old City Kites did a marvelous job with the Kite Making Event at Franklin Library on 8.6.16. Mr. Khan was detailed, informative, patient, and very accommodating. Held the kids attention for 2 hours. Lets do this again!!!!

Nice folks and know adult stunt kites, not just toy kites here (but plenty of them too). You get what you pay for and their How To guide they give away should be at all kite shops.
